Burrata plate with gluten free bread.
    Brandi T.

2.5 stars rounded up. If I had realized this was in a fancy hotel before we got there, I probably would have not gone. Pros: - Attractive space - Waiter was fine, he was friendly enough. - They had a few gluten free items, which was a main reason we went, but they do NOT have a dedicated menu, you have to ask. - The burrata cheese and veggie board was great. Definitely the best part of the meal, although the gluten free toast was extra brown and crispy. The veggies had great flavor, though. Cons: - Ridiculously overpriced for the quality of the food. - Gluten free pasta was quite overcooked. It was mostly mush by the time I got it. I love that they HAVE gluten free options, but come on, it would help if you cooked them properly. It was barely edible. - Sauce was bland and too sweet. - There was no attempt or offering to make the experience more accessible for my disabled son. No plastic cups, etc. Would be nice if they had more inclusivity. All in all, almost $200 for lunch for a family of four. Definitely not worth the money.

What a lovely little restaurant with welcoming, friendly staff. The menu was diverse, as was the wine list. The price point is certainly higher than indicated on yelp. I had dinner with a good friend and we decided to share dishes. We LOVED the burrata platter. The combination of perfectly cooked fresh vegetables and the burrata was an all-around melt-in-your-mouth experience. The bolognese offered freshly made pasta, which, unfortunately, stuck together a bit, but it was quite tasty. I believe adding white cloths to the tables would elevate the experience they aim to deliver. I SO appreciated the staff's attentiveness and the continuous pouring of wine. I would definitely return here.

Oh my goodness the food is delicious. We had the caprese salad for a starter and the mozzarella is fried, but it's delicious. We had the branzino and lobster ravioli and all were so delicious. Everything on the menu looked and sounded great so it was hard to decide what I wanted. The service was even better than the food. Our waitress was really kind and very attentive to us. She recommended a few things which were spot on. The restaurant is very clean and tidy. It's a smaller restaurant so I'd highly recommend reservations. This restaurant is located inside the Fairmount Hotel. There's lots of parking a block away too

Gamberi & Chorizo and the Branzino

When walking in, they were packed. It looked like there was a convention going on that weekend. The only highlight about this restaurant was our calamari and salad appetizers. Our servers were the reason why we stayed. They both were tag teaming tables and remained uplifting towards us. Moving fwd with our entrees, i got the Branzino and my boyfriend got the Gamberi & Chorizo. We were highly disappointed. The tomato sauce under my branzino tasted store bought. The Gamberi & Chorizo presentation looked sad, like just look at the picture. It looks like something I could have made in my own kitchen, and it lacked flavor. We paid so much just to be dissatisfied after leaving to table. Nothing is worst than spending money on "okay" food. Shout out to our server Alexandra though, she's a real one!

Came here while visiting San Antonio and absolutely loved it. The space is super cute and perfect for a date night, cozy yet stylish! The food was delicious across the board, and the service was great, thanks to our server Sam. Would definitely come back next time we're in town!

From the moment we sat down, Sam took great care of us, friendly, attentive, and perfectly paced and gave great recommendations as well. The food absolutely delivered. I ordered the pomodoro and it was excellent, fresh, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was great and perfect for a date night. Great service, really good food, and a good vibe. We will definitely be back next time we are in San Antonio.

We came here for lunch and we wanted to try the Tortufo made in the parmesan wheel. It was topped with tons of crab meat and shaved truffles! It was soooo good. We also had the margarita pizza from the Italian pizza oven. It also was top notch. Service was attentive and friendly and with the music in the background you would think you're in Italy. Highly recommended.

My best friend and I went to this restaurant without a reservation after a river cruise. We were nervous about being underdressed, but the host was very friendly and sat us promptly. For starters, they bring a focaccia bread with an olive and anchovies tapenade. (We don't like tapenade, but the bread was tasty!) We ordered the caprese, and the fried mozzarella was novel and nice. My zucca ravioli was amazing -- the butternut squash with pesto was tasty. My friend got the Tartufo mixed in the Parmesan bowl, topped with jumbo crab. The market price the night we went was around $70 but well worth it! The dessert was the perfect portion, and very light. Would definitely go again! Things I didn't like as much: (1) the restroom is downstairs. I'm not sure where the elevator is, so I was concerned about accessibility. (2) My drink was very strong, which likely isn't an issue for many. (3) The affogato espresso tasted a little burnt, but maybe it was only having one scoop of gelato.

Tried out Nonna Osteria for lunch after checking out the Briscoe Museum. Turns out Nonna Osteria was running their restaurant week menu, a $20 three course prix fixe. Finding the entrance was a bit tricky. You actually enter through the historic Fairmont Hotel entrance. The hotel itself is now part of Hyatt. If you look confused, someone from the front desk will lead you in the right direction. After being seated, water was brought over, and then a choice of lemon, lime, and cucumber clues were offered. We opted for lime-cucumber and lemon-cucumber. For the prix fixe, we opted for the Nonna Caprese and Garden Salad, the Rigatoni and Tagliatelle, and Tiramisu and Gelato. I enjoyed both the garden salad and the Nonna Caprese. The Garden Salad had a nice amount of acidity and savoriness. The Nonna Caprese had fried cheese, accompanied by tomatoes and balsamic. The tomatoes in the Caprese were underwhelming, however. The pasta dishes were less impressive and more boring. They were creamy, but not particularly flavorful. The texture of the pasta was reasonable, and both were piping hot. The Rigatoni could have used quite a bit more of the powdered chili stuff to give it more uumph. The Tagliatelle was composed of four disparate ingredients that happened to live on the same plate: tagliatelle, boar, ricotta, and pickled shallots. Their ricotta that was whipped herbs lacked appreciable flavor. The boar didn't seem seasoned. Nothing melded together. Dessert: I'm sure we could pass on either dessert. The flavors were a bit weak for the tiramisu. The gelato was a standard, forgettable, unimpressive vanilla. Apparently during restaurant week, the restaurant offers gift cards for dining at related restaurants. I'm not sure we'll find an opportunity to use them. The bathrooms are downstairs (in the hotel). Go down the staircase that you passed by when gettingto the restaurant.

9/10 Parmesan + Bread + Tapenade (on the house) - The bread and fresh Parmesan really hit the spot! The tapenade was good too, but wow, this stuff is seriously salty! Since it was my first time trying it, I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to taste, but I definitely made sure to use just a little on my bread because of the saltiness. 8/10 Bolognese - This was good, but nothing amazing. Honestly, I feel like I could've made a better version at home. 6/10 Cost- Bolognese $26.00. It feels a bit overpriced considering the quality of the food.

This restaurant is located in a classy old hotel. I was able to get a group of six in last minute, likely due to it being Monday. The food and service were excellent. I actually felt really badly as we were a group celebrating a business position and I felt we kept them there a little later than they wanted to be there (I'm sorry!) All six of us loved the food and found it to be reasonably priced. I had lobster ravioli. I got a piece of my buddy's pizza, and it was great. The salad looked delicious. Drinks were top notch. If I'm ever in San Antonio, I'd definitely eat here again.

    Cheese wheel pasta
    Flavio L.

We came here for an early Valentines day dinner and we were very pleased! The complimentary bread was very well seasoned and paired well with the olive spread. We got the arancini with vodka sauce as an appetizer and it was crispy and the sauce was fantastic! We sprung for the cheese wheel pasta as an entrée and it was rich in flavor but also didn't feel heavy. The pasta was topped with lump crab meat and garnished with truffles! The dish is a bit pricey but worth the cost! Our server explained the menu quite well and was very attentive. The restaurant is not very big so it provides a sense of intimacy, perfect for a romantic date night!

Amazing dining experience. With so many restaurants that have mediocre food it was such a treat to have truly amazing food and service. I along with a few others in my group had the filet, I was also told the ravioli was amazing. Service was great as well, definitely recommend.

The pasta was clearly fresh and cooked well, but some of the dishes felt under-seasoned and relied more on richness than depth of flavor.

Truly every person at the table seemed to love what they ordered -- we had a lot of "you have to try this!" moments being passed around the table. One thing I especially appreciated was the Caesar salad. I noticed another review mentioning the anchovy flavor in the dressing as a negative, but in my opinion, that's exactly what made it great. The restaurant itself is along a quiet area of the River Walk in an old stone building with tons of charm. The ambiance was relaxed and inviting, perfect for a group dinner. As for the food, it was good but not exceptional. I was excited for the Goat Cheese Pizza with balsamic onion, pistachio, and saba. The thin crust, however, was almost too crunchy and a bit tough to eat. The toppings didn't stand out as much as I had hoped, likely because they were overbaked together. It was about 60 degrees outside and we kindly asked to turn off the outside fans which were on full blast. Once. Then again, and again, and again. After 5 attempts asking various people we gave up and the waitress let us know she couldnt turn them off because their iPad control died. At some point I saw another server who seemed like the manager or supervisor telling another worker to straighten the tables outside so the corners were aligned... needless to say the table alignment was not the issue. Overall just seemed like the restaurant was overwhelmed and there wasn't alot of communication between tables and the staff. It seems the staff was trying their best but the management wasn't handling it well. I'm definitely going to look up the recipe and try making it at home. As far as the ambiance, the place wasn't very busy, and the lights were dimmed--mind you, it was only 1pm! I didn't want to go somewhere loud or where I had to wait a long time to be seated. Albi's Vite was a perfect Sunday afternoon for us. Thank you!
