I love MOD so my review may be a little biased, just a little. First off, the staff here are always super nice with toppings. If I ever want to buy or get anything extra, the staff are super nice! Extra mozzarella, yeah for sure! Bacon, got you! They're really encouraging with the toppings and I always appreciate that. It also helps that the toppings are hella good. I love their pesto and I latter my pizza with that below. They have such a diverse section of toppings to the point where I can't pronounce half of them! Lots of great vegetables, which are always fresh, great workers, a great atmosphere-- everything's just great! They also offer sauce on the side which is great too! Their ice machine is also really cool and the whole place gives a great homey feeling to it. I'll definitely be coming back later on for more! read more

Although service is usually super friendly, pizza is pretty decent, and fast, sometimes they get your order wrong especially when you have more than a few items in your order (they're only human). Last time tho we ordered 4 pizzas and we didn't realize the salad on a pizza was missing the salad altogether... so minus one star for how hard it was to get a hold of someone who can assist & address me, and for the insinuation that it was my fault for forgetting the salad (it was never given to us with the order, nor did anyone say, "hey wait a second for the rest of your order"). Not the cleanest location- there is cross contamination and the counters where they work could use a good wipe down. To their credit the person who helped me did switch out his gloves when taking my order and dipped the ladle far from the cheese bits that had made it into the red sauce. Overall got pizza with red sauce, no vegan cheese this time around due to cross contamination stations, but lots of veggies. The crew behind the counter was supportive of each other - one was told to take their break and a coworker swung in and made sure all the pizzas were cooked. I really wanted to like this place. I am a fan of build your own pizzas because the cost to get whatever toppings you want is great! I've tried other places before, but this was my first time at MOD. The layout is pretty standard. The only thing that I didn't like about it was that they didn't have spinach in the vegetable area--I feel like they didn't have much vegetables at all to be honest. I almost forgot about it completely until the very end. You had to ask about it at the front by the salads (and the people didn't ask if you wanted it). However, the workers there were really nice and were able to grab my pizza right before it went into the oven. They even suggested that they add some more cheese on top so it doesn't burn. The one thing that made me not a fan of MOD was the crust. I understand that it's thin crust, but I felt like it was more of a cracker consistency? I've had other places before, and the crust didn't come out like this. Overall, this place will definitely fulfill your pizza craving. If crust isn't that big of a deal to you, I'd recommend coming here. read more

Everything about this MOD Pizza location is just wrong. I spent $25 on a MOD Pizza and a Caesars Salad (included gratuity at checkout) -- and neither had the magic MOD Pizza locations usually offer. For starters, I'm not sure if the music was too loud or if the plexiglass was too thick but I could not hear any team member for the life of me. I literally had to shout back "what?" or "huh?" after every question. And, we all know that there are loads of questions when visiting one of the MOD locations. Secondly, the pizza took forever and I'm going to assume it was because they were unorganized and uncoordinated because that's what it looked like to me. When my pizza finally came around, the crust was bubbly and the cheese and pizza sauce might as well have been non-existent. Finally, my salad was drenched in caesar dressing and clutched with croutons -- hard to eat and not very appealing. Pretty bad impression of this location so I will not be returning. read more

Service here is always quick and the staff are helpful and friendly. There were a few people in front of us when we entered, but the lines moved pretty quickly. My son and I loaded-up on our toppings, which is our usual. On this visit, I also ordered a veggie pizza and one other MOD pizza as well. Being able to customize your pizza is something I really enjoy. It allows me the freedom to add whatever I'm craving that day. I also like that the pizzas stay hot, even as it took us about 10 minutes or so to get home. Being able to enjoy hot pizza is a must in my book. read more

Abhorrent customer service and pick-up experience. Food wasn't great either. Will NOT be coming back. How hard can it be to order a pizza online and pick it up? Well, the first part was easy: I ordered an 11'' Mad Dog pizza for pick-up at 6:15 on their website. As for the second part? Let's just say MOD fails at the most basic aspects of a normal pick-up process. First, I had trouble even figuring out how to enter. The front doors were taped off, and there were no signs pointing you to the back entrance. Second, once I got inside, I didn't know where to pick up my order. The table for online orders was totally empty. None of the staff greets you or helps you out. Third, when I finally got a hold of someone and told them my name, all they said was "hold on." No idea how much longer I had to wait. They also didn't check anyone's receipt, and I almost got someone else's food. Finally, at 6:32, I received my pizza with a curt apology. In sum, the entire staff seem clueless, confused, and incompetent. And the pizza? Bleh. The toppings were scant with huge areas of just plain dough. Not worth the hassle or the price. read more

I am very upset. I am pregnant and very hungry. I ordered mod pizza for my husband to pick up from uber eats and they gave me the completely wrong pizza that is missing a ton of toppings, looks super sloppy, and is cut poorly. I was so excited to eat it. I opened the box and was shocked. The box had the correct label with the list of ingredients but the pizza inside was completely different. I ordered cauliflower crust with tomato sauce, garlic, spinach, arugula, basil, mozzarella, feta, mild sausage, chicken, ground beef, mushrooms, pineapple, tomatoes, black olives, artichoke, roasted broccoli, and pesto drizzle. What I got was cheese, bacon, olives, mushroom and sausage. It's missing a ton of toppings. There are a bunch of burnt food pieces and half of the pizza is missing toppings. This is unacceptable. The toppings aren't even spread properly. What kind of pizza doesn't have tomato sauce? It is a waste of gas to drive all the way back there to correct someone's mistake. I've had mod pizza before and I've never had this problem before. What if someone had food allergies and unknowingly got the wrong pizza which doesn't even label correctly what's on the pizza? I normally like this Mod Pizza but in recent months I've had disappointing service at this location in particular. Today I placed an order for pick up and figured it would be easier to navigate my way to the pick up area (as it had been in other locations like Campbell), but nope. I came in, saw no signs for where to go and just went in the general line area to be assisted. In peak covid there was a table with the pizzas , but one could only assume that created lost orders and confusion. I was acknowledged by one associate who said she'd be with us shortly. The other two associates avoided eye contact, despite the ability to help those of us in line - which falls short of the usual, friendly, and ready to assist Mod experience I've had in the past. Instead, once the associate finished ringing up the party ahead of me, I mentioned I just needed to pick up my order and she sent me to the other side. The woman running the pick up counter was rude and not very friendly. Not only did she ignore us in line, but she just shoved the order at me and walked away. Usually you're offered dressings, pepper flakes, or Parmesan cheese topping - but nope. She just immediately left with no further comment. Which was very strange because it didn't appear she left to assist with customers - just to leave. I feel like in food service, it's not always easy to go above and beyond when you have a line - but it wasn't nearly as busy as I've seen it get at times. I've had MOD Pizza once before from a different franchise location, and it wasn't all that memorable. So when the MOD Pizza opened up off Brokaw, which is a lot closer to me, it took me a very long time to warm up to it again... I mean, at least 2 years since this place has been opened. I was open to trying MOD Pizza due to nutritional and health reasons. I remembered that MOD Pizza offered "mini" sizes, and I liked that the various classic flavors have calorie counts for each. This way, I could control my portion sizes without sacrificing flavor and quality. I arrived at MOD Pizza around 5:30pm on a Thursday. Luckily I came early enough to beat the dinner rush. There was only one customer ahead of me, and then other guests started trickling in right after me. Overall customer service was excellent. I found the employees to be very efficient and competent. When I told the server my orders (mini Dominic and mini Mad Dog), she asked me if I wanted anything else added to them. I advised her that I just wanted the flavors as are... to which she replied, "You can go ahead to the cashier. I got this." I appreciated her confidence, and I was pleased to find that she got both minis totally right. Furthermore, the two minis I ordered came out very quickly. I had the mini Dominic, which was great. I enjoyed the white sauce. The ingredients tasted fresh. I typically prefer a thick crust pizza, but I didn't mind MOD Pizza's thin, crispy crust. The mini Mad Dog was for my boyfriend. The service was super quick for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon and they were super accommodating of all of our requests. Half of the place is self-service, so we grabbed cups for water, a table and some chili flakes. We got a pizza with red sauce and jalapeños, pineapple, ricotta cheese, olives, and corn (which sounds strange but is super good)! The thin crust style was great and didn't too heavy. We also grabbed a garlic strips to share, which were super tasty with the red dipping sauce. IMHO First time at this location. We arrived at 11:45 which didn't bode well with the lunch crowd beginning to gather from the neighboring businesses. There was already a long line waiting to order and my husband almost bailed...Thankfully we didn't! We were queued for 20 minutes before ordering, maybe 5 minutes waiting to pay (they should have a designated cashier) and then another five minutes before our pizza was ready. We customized our MOD pizza, 11 inches, with pepperoni, mild sausage, mushrooms, green bell peppers, and anchovies (on hubby's side of the pizza). I added a root beer float because it was very reasonably priced, I think $2.50. I was handed a cup half-filled with frosty ice cream, and I filled it with my beverage of choice at the soda station. Pizza was hot and tasty, with the perfect thin crust crispiness. The MOD size was perfect to split with my hubby and no leftovers. My husband filled his water cup at the soda station but it came out blue. He poured it out and tried again. Still blue...Tasted like water, but looked like a smurf. MOD Pizza is basically your standard build-your-own-pizza joint, similar to Pieology and Blaze Pizza. I don't think there's huge differences in terms of quality and price between those 3 places, but props to this location being so close to my house. For beginners, you just go through the line selecting whatever sauces, toppings (meats, veggies, etc.), and spices that you want on your pizza. Thinking that I wasn't too hungry, I ordered a mini pizza and wow, the size was slightly disappointing. A mini contains about 4 slices, but no way is that enough to fill up my stomach. Anyways, I went through the line choosing what I wanted (white sauce, garlic, sausage, tomatoes, spinach, broccoli, pesto drizzle, etc.). It was a little frustrating having to repeat myself so often, especially since it wasn't that busy when I went and I don't think I was being THAT quiet. Once you get through the line, they toss your pizza in their huge stone oven to cook. It takes several minutes, then you have the option to add more drizzles at the end. The worker there didn't seem too happy with having to add drizzles, but whatever. Overall, my experience at MOD Pizza wasn't entirely amazing, could use improvements to the customer service as well. COVID-19 review: they're open for take out! They have a few outdoor dining tables. All the employees were wearing masks correctly. There were markers on the ground to ensure social distancing. There was chairs in front of the sneeze guard to ensure 6 feet while ordering. Food came out quick. BIGGEST TIP: I don't suggest ordering online for in store pick up. All of the finished pizzas were sitting on a table and as I was waiting for my pizza, I saw soooo many people just touching all of the boxes and looking through all of the bags did their pizza. Made me a little uneasy. Mod should have big labels on the outside to ensure everyone can read the names without touching anything. read more

MOD is definitely the superior build your own pizza spot. MOD is so much better than pieology + blaze. They have real thin crust pizza dough. And more selection of meats. They even have anchovy! For my anchovy lovers you just need to request it - you won't see it in the lineup since it's refrigerated. They don't skimp on the toppings here.
