Pizza My Heart has been a Bay Area favorite for pies ever since I was in elementary school and I'm glad to see that they still haven't lost their touch, lots of flavor and savory touches of saltiness which is a preference I enjoy. Traveling back from Santa Cruz we stopped at this location. We ordered the 18 inch pepperoni and sausage to go because we're driving home. We ate in the car. My kids loved it and so did my husband and myself. It was fresh quality ingredients and they let us take as much ranch we wanted they offered us a cup of ice with our drinks. Establishment was filled with patrons, chatter, and contained carbs everywhere you turned. Talk about a carb lovers dream!! This location has recently open seemingly and it's a small place to go to. This one didn't add any decorations unlike the one from Santa Clara, but that's fine. I say that this one is better in terms of parking since we park around here for more than an hour. I also want to go here because I feel like I want pizza again. Picked up a couple of salads here recently. They take part in the Too Good to Go program, which gives you "leftover" food at a discount. I was given a chicken Caesar salad and a Caesar salad. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't more variety but I know I'm not promised anything when I purchase through TGTG. But both salads were tasty. The dressing was included inside of it but they will let you pick up extra dressing out of their cold case, if you want. I often try to grab the salads and d slices here through TGTG. I pretty much paid about 25% of what they normally charge and I'm saving the food from being wasted. Service was quick and plenty of parking. read more

Wow this was the worst pizza ever. I'm so disappointed. All of our slices are crunchy. So hard that it's hurting my teeth to tug on a bite. We ordered through door dash thinking we can pick it up for quickness. After a long day at work we just wanted to have some good pizza. I get an email that says our order is ready. 5-7 minutes later we show up and my boyfriend goes in to pick it up. He watched a bunch of people get pizza and leave and is told ours is not ready. He comes back to the car. He goes in again and gets our pizza we drive home and all 4 slices are crunchy. So crunchy you can hear me crunch from across the room. Like a big thin crouton. Sad I wasted like $30 bucks. I wish the manager would reach out to me and offer me a refund :( read more

I love Pizza My Heart! They've been a childhood favorite of mine growing up and still are. Not only do I love how they're family-owned, but they've done a great job establishing themselves as the laidback, surf-themed pizza shop from California. A slice from them hits different especially during a beach trip in Santa Cruz. The location on Berryessa is new but they've been open for quite some time now. Happy there's one finally close by to where I live. I frequently go here and never had a problem with the service nor the food. There's been many times where I ate here alone and it was super dead. They're fast, and usually doesn't take too long to wait for the pizza. If you're dining in, they'll bring it to your table when it's ready. I'm basic and like to get cheese, but PMH's cheese never disappoints. You also can't never go wrong with their ranch. So freakin good. I've been to the other Pizza My Heart locations in San Jose as well; the one on San Carlos, which is basically always packed being right next to San Jose State. And the one on Park Ave, which also draws a college crowd being close to Santa Clara University. The one on Park Ave is better of the two, in my opinion, and I like going to them when I'm craving some Rocko's next door. For someone who isn't a fan of thin slice pizza typically, these guys are still my go-to for always being consistent with the food, service, and overall experience having been to so many different locations. The service is very lacking, it seems like no-one wants to be here or its a social club for folks behind the counter. On the last visit, the person helping us had longer hair and kept flipping it around while he was getting our pizza (no hair net). The pizza itself didn't seem fresh all 3 times we had it. We might have had better experience ordering a whole versus a slice. Might have had a better experience ordering a whole next online. The large slices are so convenient and fulfilling. It's less than $7. It's so hard to choose which one to get, as they're all delicious. I wish they had a name plate or a menu display for each of the slices since it's hard to know which pizza is which. If you've never had Pizza My Heart, you won't know which slice is the Big Sur, Little Sur, Virgin Creek, Rockaway etc. The service was quick and I didn't have to wait long as they warmed up the slices. Overdue review! My GF and I are so happy that Pizza My Heart opened. We live right down the street so this is a real treat! The Pizza here is the best pizza you can get imo, NY style. Very clean store and very friendly staff. We never had to wait and the pizza was always ready. There are always multiple choices to choose from, and the ranch here is fantastic. Free of course. My favorite and go-to is always the pepperoni and sausage. The pizza is fresh, thin, and with the ranch, a great combination for a mid-day snack. The combo slice with the whole garlic is also delicious. There are a lot of reviews about the service etc, don't be dissuaded by those. This is a new location and I'm sure they're adjusting to what's working and what's not, be a little patient. But for us, everything has been great! read more
