Mod pizza FTW!!! After having a HORRIBLE experience at The Cheesecake Factory, my husband and I were wanting something to eat. It's a hot Texas day, the AC instantly felt great, and instantly perked up my mood. It's our wedding anniversary, and we wanted to celebrate us. I wish I could remember the guys name (brown curly hair). He was fantastic! Friendly, interactive, and happy to be there. The girl working with him was also a joy (long brown hair in a low braid). She complimented our outfits (4th of July attire), and was also cheerful. The hiring manager has great taste in who they pick for the company. It was a quiet night, yet everyone was busy. Place was very clean, someone was cleaning the light fixtures above the tables. (not ours..and away from people who were eating!) Everything was great, and the big chocolate chip cookie was such a yummy sweet treat for the entire family to share. How can you go wrong when you build your own pizza?? I used to think that if you didn't like it, you probably just didn't add the right toppings. But then I had a MOD. I was wrong. I did the 11" build your own pizza and added red sauce, an assortment of meats (pepperoni, vegan sausage, salami and chicken), vegan cheese and some veggies (basil, red pepper, mushrooms, artichoke, onion). It looked very promising, but after taking my first bite, I realized I was mistaken. The toppings were all great, but what ruined it for me was the red sauce. It took tangy to a new level. It wasn't your usual, tangy but still sweet. I think maybe they forgot to add sugar? Because this sauce was just straight up tangy sour sour. Like a step under sour patch kids. It was not good. So the food, I've got to give a 2/5. Unfortunately, the service wasn't the greatest either - mostly because of what happened with the vegan cheese. They put the vegan cheese in at the end. After the MOD employee made my meat filled pizza, she reached the same pepperoni/chicken/salami touching glove into the vegan cheese tub. I didn't mind since I eat vegan cheese for the lactose free option, not the vegan option. But just be warned. Overall, I won't be returning. I prefer Blaze's option of toppings and quality of both pizza and employees more (they do change their gloves if they've touched meat or other cheese before touching the vegan cheese). read more

We tried placing an order in-store and the employee working the oven did not have his gloves on. I am typically not disgusted by things like this but the employee kept doing it every minute or so and touching every pizza. We were about to place our order and we told the employee making our pizza in the front and his response was "we can't wear gloves because of the temperature of the oven." I thought oh that sounds logical and then the oven cool immediately place snot all over his hand and elbow area. We left disgusted and disappointed. Went to Blaze Pizza across the street and they had gloves on the entire process of our pizza. We thought we were crazy for being disgusted by Mods and then felt relieved when Blaze did the entire process in a clean hygienic way without saying anything to them. We love you Mods but that was DISGUSTING. Also, Blaze Pizza was subpar but they keep that kitchen super clean. read more

Dropped by here a little before 10 on a Saturday evening. 2 guys working, rushing the hell out of us even though they close at 11. Very snappy while picking our pizza toppings. One of the guys asked "is that all?" And my boyfriend thought he meant only for meats and said yes. Basically ran to throw the pie in the oven. When we said we actually wanted more toppings, he literally rolled his eyes and raised his arms from his sides in a "what the f" type of way. They stated they're only doing takeout, which was fine anyways. Noticed the restaurant was pretty dirty and felt like a refrigerator in there so I definitely wouldn't have wanted to dine-in. Just trying to catch a late night dinner, I wasn't even trying to make things difficult. I hate writing bad reviews unless it's really warranted. That's pretty amazing for a fresh custom pizza for the price of an up market frozen pizza delivered to your home or office. The roommate Certainly prefers Mod Pizza over Papa John's or Dominos. I've never been to a mod pizza restaurant. But we do utilize Grubhub and UberEats: I think GrubHub is the better delivery service. Our order was placed at 7:09 according to the email. The order was supposed to be ready at 7:35. At 8:42, I called from home while my husband was at the restaurant waiting. wasn't huge on the pizza here. ingredients are of a poor quality. staff aren't very personable or enthusiastic. wouldn't recommend overall.

I went at lunch time and they were a little busy. A customer that had an online order was making a big display of stupidity because the huge order wasn't ready. First of all he came early and they still managed to get his stuff for him before his promised time. Second he was very disrespectful of the staff and was talking to the employee very ignorantly. Even though he was way out of line she responded calmly and professionally. I would have jumped over the counter to handle him if it were me. I commend her on her extreme professionalism. Worst service ever. I saw the bad reviews where people noted of the awful service. Still gave them a chance thinking it must be just an off night. But man the white guy in front is seriously rude. Brushed us off while we were ordering and kept rushing us. Note there was nobody there and wasn't like we were taking our sweet time ordering. Literally just couldn't hear him mumbling.
