Great pizza, great sandwiches, fast service. Some of the best french fries I've ever had, too.

I've been getting pizza here for 15 years. It is a little sketchy outside but that should not affect the decision to go there for take out. In my opinion it has always been superior to any chain or small pizza joint I've ever been to in Houston. We got a pizza tonight and the crust was different. I've lived next door to this place for 20 years, and for years before COVID, I could always get a large 1-topping pizza for $5.99 for pickup. Now it's $10, and their own website says $7.99, and every delivery service website says $5.99, $6.99 or $7.99.Nice bait and switch. The pizza is usually fine, sometimes overcooked on the bottom, but the only reason I ever got food here was the price. But since I can get a large 1-topping at Domino's for $7.99, that eliminates any excuse to go here again. It's an okay generic tasting pizza if you need one in a pinch. It's got a good price attached, especially if you do the pick-up special. I was able to order and pick up my anchovies and garlic with no hassle. Score. Crust was crispy and fresh. The Cashier was friendly and easy to talk to. English spoken. Call and take out are highly suggested. Made to order, 30 min wait on most orders. Delivery offered. I ordered a Large pizza half n half and a small Cheese . This is a family-owned small establishment. The Pizzas were better than expected. I ordered a large shrimp basket, and this disappointed me, my fault I should have asked. I was hoping for nonbutterflyed fresh Jumbo shrimp . They are from pre-packaged flat and frozen. Fries and shrimp need a spicy Creole seasoning. The location is in China Town off Bellare down from Beltway 8. I don't know what the area looks like during lunch hours, but very unwelcoming after daylight hours. Parking is limited, and people loitering next door outside of the corner store, this needs to be cleaned up. Don't let that stop you. Great deals. This has become my go to pizza when I'm in the area and I must say they do not disappoint. It is a mom in pop type vibe. Definitely appears to be a sort of hole in the wall type of building. Not surprised because the surrounding area. I usually order the cheese, or the spinach with tomatoes and mozzarella. Such nostalgia! I remember my mom used to work late on weekdays and would take us to Texas Pizza. We used to love watching the pizza roll through the oven and come out of the other side all crispy. The guys that work there have alwaybeen cool people. We would go next door to the convenience shop to get a gatorade and some chips to go with our pizza, mainly because we weren't fans of sodas. Checked out their website and saw a good deal: 14 inch large 3 topping pizza with 10 wings and a soda. I said bet! Ordered around 2:00-2:10pm. Website said it'll take about 50 mins. Cool. 3:30pm came. We called them to check on our ordered and was told that it was out for delivery. It came close to 4. The pizza was good but I wasn't too fond of the wings because some of the wing's meat was too dark which kinda freaked me out...Like damn near black dark. Lol. I have had pizza from here and it is good, upfront this is not about the food. I ordered and went to pick up, I saw no sanitizer or gloves for employees, the place is pretty dirty looking, and I could clearly see the guy making pizza bare handed. Now imagine him making your pizza and salad bare handed. Only the guy upfront that was taking orders had a mask on and no gloves. In the wake of pandemic I think this was just disgusting. Very upset. When it came to delivery, I had to go down to the first floor to pick it up. On top of that once I went down to get it, I wasn't allowed to get my order. It was under my number (which they used to call me) but apparently they didn't have enough to verify me. And apparently they "didn't have the hotel room number or name of the one who placed the order". In the end I wasn't allowed to get my order. read more

If i could give this place no stars i would! I waited over an hour for my order to be delivered. When i called the restaurant they told me my food had already been sent and that it was grubhubs fault, i was completely understandable and took it up with grub hub, when i FINALLY got my order it was the WRONG ORDER!! i called the restaurant back and the guy told me i wasn't seeing right because he never made a cheese pizza like if i didn't have the pizza sitting right infront of me and basically calling me a liar! Great little pizza shop. Next to a liquor store/convenience store, but the food here is awesome. Pizza is very similar to NY style pizza, which I love, and best of all, only $4.99 for a 12" medium 1-topping pizza, and $5.99 for a 16" large 1-topping pizza. Only negative is they charge 75cents if you use a card for transactions. read more
