Ok, I'm sorry for this review but what happened not only to me but also to two others. The three of us ordered a salad to go which we customize it to our liking. Picked it up, got the home and we all ate them. Few hours later, the youngest toss her cookies. Her mother tossed her cookies at 2AM. And me, well, I was bathroom bound a few hours in the morning. We talked together that afternoon the only thing we all ate was the salad from MOD. Something happened there lately but don't know. The girls will not go back, and I am not sure. This is bigger than some Mod locations, but the prep area seems smaller. Plenty of places to sit with the usual peppy 'mod on!' sort of decor, inclusivity hints, and so on. Service was slow, as in slower than I've seen at other Mods when they are this busy. It felt chaotic, like no one was really the leader and there were too many staff trying to work in a small space. Granted, the place was pretty busy, and I make a lot of allowances for people doing their best to handle a rush, but it all seemed inefficient. I kept thinking that the Mod in Hillsboro would have half these people out of here with food. When we got the pizza home, that part was as good as or better than other Mod locations we've been to. They mostly got the order right. Between civil staff doing their best when busy, and the food coming out good, I have a hard time rating it too low. I mean, those are major. They have to count. What shocked me most--see photo--is the cleanliness. Yes, that really is the floor along the prep line. You can't see a container lid just laying where someone might walk on it (it's clear, so it blends in with the mess) , but you can see a fallen whole pizza crust under the toe-kick as well as large amounts of dropped food. In fact, there were arguably enough ingredients on that floor to make a whole pizza--especially if you also used all the mess under the pizza stand on the counter. That floor needs a good mopping. Either it accumulated all that stuff in one service, in which case the line people are more slinging than prepping, or it hasn't been cleaned up for a longer time, in which case the management is not taking action. I don't know, but it does look like it's run by slobs. We went because we thought it might be a little closer than Hillsboro. That distance savings was a false economy. Went around 12:30p, short line and excellent service! Got a Mega Salad, Italian Chopped. Server not only applied listed toppings, but also let me add additional toppings I wanted at no cost! I haven't experienced this before so it was a really pleasant surprised to be able to add more stuff like mushrooms, artichoke, and bacon. I really enjoyed my salad. Also got a Jasper pizza with cauliflower crust. It was thin crust which I loved and the toppings itself held together well. It was cut into about 7 slices of varying size which was interesting but it was insanely delicious. Salad was instant and pizza took about five minutes. Very very happy. I didn't know that Mod allows the employees to sit on their phones, watching videos and texting while they handle customers pizza from the oven. I asked for the name of the employee that was on the phone from the manager. He responded with " I can't give out names". Is this what it has come to? Plenty for two. The menu has an offering of favorite selections, but you can add or subtract as much as you like. Seriously!!! You can add a little bit of EVERY ingredient and the price remains the same!!! I love their bbq sauce on my pizza. I so love all the Mod Pizza locations which keep popping up all over. It's such a great way to get the perfect amount of pizza with an epic amount of toppings. I'm not sure if you realize it but they also make some pretty killer salads if that's what you prefer. We even went for the "recommended by staff" options for both of our pizzas and for a salad that sounded too delicious to pass up. The salad ended up being our favorite part of the whole meal. I love MOD Pizza, but this particular location really seems to struggle with quality and customer service. My most recent experience was when I ordered a pizza online through their online ordering system recently and accidentally ordered it for pickup instead of delivery. When I called the store to ask them how to cancel the order or change it to delivery, they had no idea how their own online ordering site works, and there are no customer service phone numbers listed for online help. I ended up driving to the restaurant to pick it up curbside. When I got to the store a couple of minutes after the estimated pick-up time, I called the store and was told I was early and that she would bring it out when it was ready. After waiting another ten minutes (45 minutes after I placed the order), I went into the store, and they had placed my pizza on the pick-up rack; it was cold at this point, and they forgot to add the other items to the order, which has happened several times on my delivery orders. This location also doesn't seem to read the "added instructions" section of their online delivery tickets. Too many disappointments, I will choose another location going forward. read more

I placed my order at 5:20 was told order would be ready at 5:40. I got there at 5:42 and was told it was just being made???? At 5:50, when I asked about the status I was told "as you can see we are really busy". Really *itch?!? then I shouldn't have been told the order would be ready at 5:40. When I asked for a refund I was then told the pizza would be ready in 3 minutes. I ended up leaving there at 5:58 making me late for my next appointment. I truly do not care if you are busy - my order was messed up - I could have dealt with that - but the snarky comment was unnecessary, unprofessional and rude. I've always been a fan of the more artisanal thin crust styled pizza as the flavors are usually richer, especially compared to any big box brand or chain. MOD is certainly not a ma and pa store, they're a very large national chain. Regardless, I do like the build your own concept that so many other pizza places are adopting. MOD does have a good variety of choices for toppings and sauces, along with artichoke hearts which many pizza places don't offer. ORDERING ONLINE: Easy and error free via mobile phone or computer. Making your choices are as simple as checking boxes and adding a note if needed. You pay before placing the order so you'll need a credit or debit card and can write in any tip amount along with the pre selections. Received a confirmation via eMail showing all of the selections along with the tab. THE ORDER: Arrived on time for the scheduled pickup and everything was ready to go, staff was pleasant. (1) 11" inch pizza with a medium assortment of toppings, (1) Cinnamon Sugar Puff Bread - Caramel, side or ranch and a Mexi-Coke in the bottle. Pizza was hot, drink was cold and the sides were in the boxes. Easy. $8 dollars and some change for a large personal pizza is a deal in my books. IN SUMMARY: As far as the pizza goes, I'd say it was just okay but nothing stellar. Solid flavors, decent amount of toppings and cooked just right with a crispy on the outside and soft on the inside dough. This is not a thick crust or heavily loaded toppings type pizza, although they do offer a thicker crust. In similar comparison, I actually like the flavors of California Pizza Kitchen quite a bit more (although twice the price), they are very similar in style, presentation, size and texture. Where MOD seems to fall short is actually in the dough/crust, it's really not that great. It's more like a giant flour tortilla that's been baked, you can really tell if you get the side puff breads. Looks like a flour tortilla and tastes like one. The only thing they missed on my order was the fresh basil, it was on the receipt and confirmation but it was not on the pizza. The sugar puff bread was the real disappointment, they could really amp it up by deep frying it or adding a light butter glaze. Again, it just looked and tasted like a baked flour tortilla, wasn't terrible but nothing astonishing. It was also not pre-sliced as indicated by their website. Carmel dip was good and plenty sweet. Their ranch dressing is decent, it's a little smoother but less mayo-like than the usual Hidden Valley ranch. Cane sugar non-high fructose Mexi-Coke is the way to go, a little higher priced here than other places. The establishment was clean and roomy with an industrial modern styled interior. Plenty of parking with two disabled spots just right of the entrance. All in all I'd come here again, but I can't say it's the best pizza around. Certainly convenient and fairly priced. read more

They do a pizza/salad thingy that I haven't tried cause I'm too into the leafy goodness of their salad choices. I stumbled onto this combo - lettuce, bacon, roasted garlic, shaved grilled Brussel sprouts, chicken topped with some feta. WOW! 7.87 for the regular size and it usually makes for a great lunch with some left for a dinner side, too. For some reason I had the impression (before I went) that they were more spendy than they actually are.
