Christina is a phenomenal tailor and was so easy to work with. I ordered a beautiful sample wedding…read moredress offline, which turned out to be about a size too big, and Christina altered it so it fit like a glove on my wedding day!! Her services are very reasonably priced, she works quickly, and she goes above and beyond to make sure you look and feel your best. We added straps to my dress pretty late in the process because I was started to second guess my choice of a strapless dress... she just whipped out her box of dress straps she's saved over the years and we found the perfect match! I would recommend Pins and Needles to anyone looking for alterations - wedding or other!

Several of my colleagues go here and have raved about Christina and her work, so I entrusted them and her. I needed the back taken in as it pushed out too much, the bottom taken up as I'm short (even with heels), cups added into the chest area, and the bright white cups the designer put under the lace taken out. Christina did an excellent job with all the alterations she made. She was friendly, personable, efficient, and talented. At my final fitting, I wasn't loving how my chest sat in the dress with the cups and Christina made sure I was happy before leaving that day. We altered the cups quite a few times until it worked with my body. I am so happy I chose Pins & Needles for my alterations and would absolutely go back should I find myself needing alterations again.

None of the employees greeted us and yet we made eye contact with several of them. We proceeded to the back of the store where the dressing rooms were and asked one of the associates for help. He was a high-school-aged boy and didn't seem very eager to assist us. Throughout the process of trying on the suit, the associate didn't seem to care at all about asking how things were going, offer to get the stock shoes they typically give when trying on suits in-store, or seem at all helpful. My fiance and I will not be using Men's Wearhouse for our suits for our upcoming wedding, not because of the quality, but because of the lack of customer service all of their locations seem to possess.

We walked in and were met with an employee and he checked us in for our appointment. We explained what color we wanted etc and the employee got his manager, Danielle, so she could give us more information about custom suits. The first thing she said to us in a condescending tone was "Why do you need a custom suits". We asked if my fiancé could try on different sizes to feel what was more suitable/comfortable for him. She handed us different sizes and did not show us where he the dressing rooms were. She then went to help another customer. My fiancé also tried to explain to her that the suit jacket did not fit properly. Then the manager went on to tell him that's how all suits fit (which is not true). We felt like she didn't want us to make a purchase or even be there. Her attitude was very cold towards us. We decided to just leave as she was not helpful at all. However, we did go to another store location in Burlington MA and was greeted with kindness and professionalism unlike the Peabody location.

My 1947 201-2 is sparkly clean, properly lubricated and adjusted AND properly rewired and is working like the day it was new. I have several other vintage machines she's helped me with as well, with similiar results. I really love vintage sewing machines and it's a rare thing to find a repair person/restorationist who understands and supports vintage collectors in addition to servicing modern machines. I recently acquired another Featherweight in ok shape that will need some restoration to it's case lining and Erin is a wizard at these also. Last year I subscribed to her service online and enjoy continued learning and regular machine "spa" days to keep machines well-maintained and running smoothly. I renewed this year and will continue. Erin also does great work on modern machines and sergers and has put in a great many hours and travel into paid professional training courses. Extremely fair, honest, dependable and affordable.
