Take your business elsewhere. My friend and I got measured here, and ordered dresses based upon the measurements we received. Measurements were wrong and the dress I ordered was custom made, so I could not return it. When I emailed to voice my concerns, they stopped replying to me. Additionally, the lady who worked with us in the store was very off-putting, never once congratulating our bride to be. I've never left a bad review, but this poor service warranted a fair warning to any potential customer. Save your service for a better place! read more

Wondering why my review from 8.7.2017 doesn't show up when I just went to show a friend. Also noticed another bride was offered a reimbursement for her troubles the same month i wrote my review- yet my review was hidden? reposting my same review below- another 2 years later and this STILL HAUNTS ME!!!!!! I have been avoiding writing this review for almost 2 years now. My dress was on my top 3 priorities for the wedding. I barely needed any assistance in being guided to the right gown, I did all my research online and just wanted to try on one dress. Maxine was very sweet and helpful during this process. The day I ordered the dress, I was between sizes and opted to size up and alter the dress as needed if need be. When the dress arrived not only was it enormous, but I had also lost weight so it was extra enormous. It was a size 8 and I was about a size 2. I had no fear that the dress would fit me on my wedding day. This is where things went terribly wrong. At my first fitting I made it clear I wanted the dress skin tight. The seamstress and owner, Janine, was the one pinning me and seemed to be listening. I did feel slightly uncomfortable already because I had called 10 minutes prior to my appointment saying I was running about 10 minutes late and was given extreme attitude. I live 2 hours from the salon, had left 3 hours before my appointment and had hit terrible traffic. I figured calling and giving a heads up would be the polite thing to do, but I felt shamed for being 10 minutes late and was told I was her last appointment of the day and I was putting her out. After that appointment, a few weeks later I went for my second fitting. I was so upset, the dress was still far too big. I explained, again, that I wanted the dress so tight I didn't care if I couldn't sit. Mind you, this was the third time now I had driven the two hours to the appointment. The seamstress was only in this location on Fridays, so I had taken my 2nd day off of work for this appointment. The third fitting I was yet again disappointed. The dress was still too big, and not at all tight, never mind skin tight. I barely spoke in the appointment because I didn't know what else I could possibly say to get my point across. I left the appointment and just didn't feel right leaving just saying "tighter". I contacted Maxine, not the seamstress, to explain myself. She reassured me that everything would fit fine. Maxine told me that Janine would rush it and if I could come in on Tuesday I could try it on again for peace of mind. I took another day off from work and went in on Tuesday. The dress fit much better. Was it perfect? No. Did I have time to keep arguing? No. During this appointment, the hook and eye was damaged and needed to be repaired. I also noticed, on the inside of the dress, a red mark appearing to be red lipstick. I didn't say anything about it, I was just happy that the dress was in some sort of condition to be worn in 4 days. Come wedding day was the most massive disappointment of my entire day. The hook and eye was never repaired. The dress kept popping open my entire photo session and ceremony (in a church). I was so uncomfortable and instead of basking in happiness and showing off the body I had been working at for a year, I was pulling up my dress, constantly. I found a woman at my cocktail hour who was a seamstress, I pulled off a hook and eye to my rehearsal dinner dress, and she repaired it for me. I missed the cocktail hour I had been looking forward to attending (why I took my photos before the ceremony and not after). When I had finally let my guard down on the dress debacle, my bustle, that Janine had added, broke. I was so over it. I was lucky enough to have a "second dress" for our after party that was going to be at another location. I decided to just put it on early. When I contacted the salon to express my dismay, I was offered $50 to preserve it, at their salon. I never want to look at this dress again, never mind preserve it. It was a $3000 gown and I spent $1000 on alterations, that were not to my liking. I wouldn't say the dress "ruined" my day, because its not about the dress, but it gave me a massive headache and lots of avoidable panic. The dress was a "controllable" on my list and the situation was so out of control and out my hands. I felt helpless, frustrated, and also thankful that my work was so understanding for letting me take a total of 3 additional days off for fittings that could have also been avoided. My experience at pure bliss was more than I could have hoped for. I am the girl who hates trying on clothes, or going to the mall. My time at pure bliss was so enjoyable, i found the dress of my dreams (way out of what I excpected), the trying on process was so easy. My amazing dress cost less than $1000 and i excpected to pay way more. When she knew the dress i picked was out of my stylw she showed me a head piece, that added my personality, she got me. My appointment was nice. There's nothing outstanding about the salon. My salesperson, was very nice, new and she told me. She tried to find me something I liked... but nothing really was quite right. Finally, I pulled a dress and it was nice. Not outstanding but nice. They "offered" l, more like pressured you, into buying their bridal package for an additional fee- this gave me the right to store the dress at their store until and after it was tailored for an additional $250. Then i had to pay for insurance to have it shipped to the store. All in all it was an additional $400 dollars. Now, I ended up not needing to store it there, picked it up w/in 3 days of it arriving ( mind you, the owner said it would not come in until September) . She would not refund my storage fee payment, although I was no longer storing it there or having alterations done there. Instead, she charged me half of the additional lace I had ordered for the dress. So she still made out ahead. The salesperson was clearly embarrassed, but the owner wouldn't even look at me.. I was no longer a customer. One and done. Clearly she understands she usually won't have repeat customers and she treats you as such. read more

Pure Bliss should change their name to Pure Stress. Myself, and four other bridesmaids went and ordered bridesmaid dresses in March. After months with no update on when our dresses would arrive, we contacted the shop at the beginning of July with no response. The bride was able to get ahold of someone at the shop today (now the end of July) and our dresses had never been ordered. The shop gave the bride two hours to decide between the two options they had for her: Option one: they offered to order "similar" dresses to the ones chosen by myself and the other bridesmaids. All of us agree we are not comfortable spending Hundreds of dollars on dresses that we are unable to see pictures of, let alone try on. Anyone who has ever tried on bridesmaid dresses knows they do not all fit the same, no matter how "similar" they are. If she chose this option the dresses would arrive a maximum of a month before the wedding. Option two: They would order the dresses chosen and already paid for by the bridesmaids and have them arrive 4 DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING. The options given are pathetic and do not show any bit of remorse for the situation. Neither will make this situation better than it currently is. Her wedding is less than two months away leaving very little time to find new dresses elsewhere. That is, if they would issue refunds - that was not an option given to us, which I find to be a poor way to run a business who clearly made one of the worst mistakes they possible could. Pure Bliss should be ashamed of the options they gave her with this horrible error. Planning a wedding is one of the most stressful times in a woman's life and Pure Bliss has made this even worse. I would not recommend buying a dress from them. I can not imagine how horrible this situation would be if this was her wedding dress. read more

What I did not expect to happen when I logged in to write my review: find a host of other reviews in just the last two months detailing almost exactly what I went through. I was really dreading writing this review, but it seems I am not alone. Sing it with me girls: DO NOT GET YOUR DRESS ALTERED HERE. This is one of the truest statements I've ever said. Also, as a side note, I was doing all of this from California. Meaning I had to very specifically schedule fittings and fret over what was happening with my dress from 3,000 miles away. My experience, while very similar, was also different (as girls with different dresses/personalities/lives are wont to be). I loved the selection here and even more so loved the prices. I ended up going with a custom dress that was a mix of two dresses (one Maggie Sottero and one Casablanca). I took the Casablanca dress base (had all of the beading removed) and added black lace flowers from the MS dress. The first appointment: Dress and flowers are in! We (me, mother, MIL, sister and Jeanine) spend two hours cutting out delicate flowers and pinning on exact placement. We pin on about half and I tell Jeanine that I want the belt of the dress removed and the rest of the flowers to cover (COVERRRRRR) the bodice. I also request to save one of the flowers so I can create a headband to match my dress. We also ordered extra tulle to create a top and sleeves. I tell Jeanine I DO NOT WANT A BOLERO. I want ACTUAL SLEEVES. Sleeves. That are attached to the dress. Again, NOT a bolero. Second appointment: No more flowers have been added to the dress. I ask if they will be added later and Jeanine tells me that we had already used them all. We paid about $260 JUST for these f*cking lace flowers, and I'm pretty sure she pocketed about a third of them. She then takes out the mock up for my sleeves. And puts it on me as if it's a bolero. So I ask, "this will be attached, correct?" and she said, "no, you wanted a bolero." You could probably see my eyes bulging out of my head as she was saying this. I reaffirm that I DO NOT WANT a bolero. She also did the neckline incorrectly (cut straight across my collarbones instead of a v-neck into the bodice like I had requested), but I decided to stick with it since it looked good and I did not want to cause any more waves. Again, I tell her I want the belt removed from the dress because it is still on there. Third appointment: I bring my mom and sister with me. My sister (who is 20 and bounces off the walls) really had nothing to do while I was trying my dress on, so she asked where the bridesmaids dresses were she could try some on. Jeanine snaps at her (I am not exaggerating) and says, "this is your SISTER'S appointment for her wedding dress, so you can wait until she's done." Excuse me? Did you REALLY just talk to my sister like that? I couldn't even believe it. I apologized to my sister after we left. Anyway - I try on the dress, and the sleeves/top have been created, and she places them on me just to make sure they fit and they do. THE BELT IS STILL NOT FRICKING REMOVED. At this point, I say f*ck it, leave the belt. All the flowers are placed nicely, blah blah blah, whatever. After my dress appointment was over (an appointment we arrived 15 minutes early for, an hour before closing), we look at dresses for sister. Maxine needed Jeanine for something and Jeanine screams across the store, "I'm just vacuuming because we're CLOSING SOON" in a voice all prior-retail workers know as, "get these customers out of the store" despite the fact that we were spending a few grand there and the store was still OPEN. I then go to find her to ask a question about my dress I hadn't thought about before, and Maxine told me she'd left. Super cool, Jeanine. Thanks for all your help! (If you're interested: we ended up getting sister's bridesmaid dress from J. Crew for $50 [originally $250] and had a great customer service experience.]) Fourth (and final) appointment: Sleeves are attached. Belt is still attached. Everything is done. They promise to have it steamed and ready for pick up by my mom the Tuesday before my wedding. Wedding day: so exciting, right!? Except for when your sleeves rip completely underneath the arms before your reception even starts because the workmanship is so shoddy. By the end of the night, my sleeves were about halfway ripped off. I cannot even believe how poorly these were sewn on. I am a terrible seamstress and I could have done a better job than Jeanine. Another issue I had: each time I came in for a fitting, they charged me $250. I think we ended up paying about a quarter of our budget towards just alterations. Alterations that were crap in the end. I also sent an email to Vanita about some of these issues and never heard back. TL;DR: rude seamstress that doesn't know what she's doing; costly alterations; but otherwise decent price and selection. I had my first and only dress fitting at Pure Bliss. I was able to go on a Sunday because they were having a sample sale and had special hours for this sale. (Sidenote: It seems to be industry standard to have dress stores only open M-F 9-5... which is when people need to be working to pay for the wedding and to be able to have time off when the big day comes around! Pure Bliss is not exception to this rule, except in this one instance of special store hours.) I showed the saleswoman some pictures of styles I liked, then she pulled some dresses and my mom and I pulled some dresses. I was able to buy a dress that day, but took it elsewhere to be tailored because, once again, their hours are ridiculous to work with. Tailoring is done Tuesday or Friday from 12-5... which is totally crazy. I had a fine shopping experience, but am happy that I am taking it elsewhere to be tailored. The saleswoman initially told me"oh, this is a simple tailoring- you only need sideseams!"- but when I met with my tailor, there was a lot more work to be done. This could just be a lack of knowledge on the saleswoman's part, but it makes me nervous. Since this was the only place I went to in my dress earch, I can't compare, but it wasn't fancy and I wasn't rolled out the red carpet, but it got the job done and I got a dress that I love at a significantly reduced rate. read more

Pure Bliss is a good store. I had fantastic service at a reasonable price. I don't know what all these nay-Sayers are talking about. On the days they are closed, they are not there to take your message and call you back to make an appointment. But they called me first thing in the morning when they opened. I like the layout of the store and Maxine is as nice and knowledgeable as you could ever hope for. The dress selection is huge and I feel the prices are better than average. Buyer Beware: "Upsells", poor communication, shipping, alterations, service, pricing of dresses and more... Dreadful experience working with the owner. Really shameful. Please do yourself a favor and get every single thing you do in writing if you so choose to purchase here. I purchased my wedding dress from the sister store in Peabody. (same owner, selections, pricing, etc.) - my first experience was positive, despite the store being located on a grungy strip of Route 1 in Peabody. The salesperson was great- and I purchased the 3rd dress she pulled. Great. And then, let the debacle that was the rest of my experience begin... I came in to pick up my dress, and worked with the owner - Jeanine. After trying on my dress and making decisions about the alterations (adding cap sleeves using the fabric I purchased and a SIMPLE finger length veil) I asked her to wait to do these alterations until I spoke with her again in early December (I live in Los Angeles with a NY wedding). - On Dec 1 I emailed to ask about the dress and she said the alterations were complete and over $600 for a simple hem and bustle, along with a veil and sash applique. Since this was a conversation between the owner, myself and my grandmother, I assumed I wouldn't need anything in writing and that she was an honest person. This was the first step. -Next, I ask for her to ship - and she lets me know it costs $75. I pay the cost because she has my dress and has already proven to be dishonest. I am not providing with any tracking information, or anything else that a normal business person would do. -A week later, I email and call - asking for my tracking. She lets me know that "it hasn't shipped yet - they only ship once per week... -At this point, I am expecting a carefully packed package containing a 2K plus wedding dress (don't even get me started on the fact that my dress MSRP is $1700 and from two years ago..) -Two weeks after I paid for shipping and was told my dress was shipped- an overstuffed brown UPS ground box is dropped at my doorstep. Inside is a crumpled, mess of a dress along with a veil that I did not agree to. Nothing was right. The hem is crocked with thread hanging out, the stitching isn't straight, the applique on the sash is a mess. There are tiny spots of glue on the satin sash that I purchased. The cap sleeves I had made were incomplete. The whole experience was completely demoralizing, frustrating and fraudulent. She really took advantage of the situation, did not communicate with me, and charged me for things that I did not agree to. With my wedding just a month or so away, it's pretty awful a feeling so have a person really just trash the entire bridal experience for me... read more

Let me preface this by saying I was dreading dress shopping. I went to one other place--ALONE--and while i liked some dresses I didn't love any and the girl at the previous place really couldn't provide much insight. Listen...I work in medicine and you could tell me which medication or condition you want/have but more than likely, you're gonna let me call the shots with some input from you. Now I'm not trained in "weddings". People fawn over magazines thinking they're gonna make a magic list and blindly try on specific dresses...but why do all that work (I mean come on wedding planning is a full time job) when staff at a bridal shop who work with people of all shapes and sizes and see them try dresses on all damn day...COULD MAKE THE DECISION FOR YOU! I know this isn't for everyone but lemme tell you. I walked in and maxine asked me what I'm looking for. I told her you find what you think will look best just no sparkles. I'm not into bedazzled things let alone gowns. Well wouldn't you know, Thursday I narrowed things down to two dresses. Today...6 months from my wedding date...I returned with my family and long time friend and wouldn't you know I walked out with a gorgeous dress WITH SOME BLING ON IT. And it looks amazing. Highly recommend Maxine. She is very decisive and had a beautiful vision. So....first off, I would give 5 stars to Maxine, my consultant. She was awesome -- so sweet and helpful. The shop is just so-so....to be honest, I wasn't super impressed with the selection -- although they have a ton of dresses, they're all kind of similar to each other, in my opinion and didn't seem to be the best quality. The space is pretty warehouse-y. It was super cold and drafty at first, then way too hot when they put the heat on. The racks are really hard to sort through and in general it was just ok...not awful, but not great. If you do go, be sure to ask for Maxine -- she's awesome. read more

I went there for a black Friday sale just to see IF I could find something, thinking that chances would be slim of finding the one. Jeanine let me poke around so she could get a feel for my style and then started the suggestions, she made the process super easy and very relaxing. If I could rate Pure Bliss a zero, I would. My first encounter with them having my ladies try on bridesmaids dresses was absolutely wonderful..after that, it was every brides nightmare. My nieces ordered their gowns (jr. Bridesmaid and flower girl) 2 weeks after my other bridesmaids. When the bridesmaid dresses came in, the owner said "the other 2 dresses should be in soon, they ended up having the same ship date". For two months I called every week and everyone assured me "don't worry, you still have plenty of time". Then in August i called (wedding is in September) and spoke to the owner highlighting how worried I was because the wedding was right around the corner. She was like wow you should be worried..let me check with the designer to see where they are. The next Monday she called me back and said "your concerns were warranted, we never ordered them from the designer". How does that even happen?! You literally had one job. So they made up for it by paying for rush shipping but acted as if they were doing me a favor by doing so. We got the dresses two weeks before the wedding...which caused an enormous amount of stress for my sister and I. Not to mention my little flower girl (who is more excited about my wedding than I am) was extremely distraught. In addition, my sisters dress had a big stain on it. Fellow brides-- do not go here. Where do I even begin?? The women at Pure Bliss are amazing. I have been coming here since July, when I first purchased a gown for my wedding. Since then, I have been back or called and emailed numerous times and all for various different reasons -- questions about designers, specific items, and we've been in bridesmaid dress shopping as well. No matter how many times I've called and "bothered" them (my words obviously!), they have always been extremely sweet and helpful. I never ever feel like I am really bothering them. They have always gone above and beyond to help me. Yesterday, I emailed Jeannine and told her that I had the dreaded-dress-regret and was no longer in love with my wedding gown. This is the worst feeling to have 4 1/2 months before your wedding. I honestly didn't expect her to be able to do anything for me, but she emailed me back and told me to bring my dress back and that they would give me a credit and get me into a different dress. How many other salons do that?? An hour and a half later I was at the salon with my old gown trying on new ones, and it didn't take long for me to find THE right dress. I seriously felt such a sense of relief and overwhelming joy. No bride wants to get married in a dress that isn't the right one and I'm so incredibly grateful for Jeannine and her incredible team for consistently going above and beyond to make everything so perfect for my big day. I have already referred people to Pure Bliss and I will continue to do. They truly know their stuff and are just the nicest, kindest people you will ever encounter. I loved my experience at Pure Bliss! I went dress shopping here with my mom. My cousins got their wedding dresses here and highly recommended the store. The staff was so helpful and friendly. They pulled dresses very similar to the ones that I sent prior to the appointment. Symphonie really listened to what I wanted and I ended up falling in love with the second dress I tried on! I visited Pure Bliss this weekend to help my best friend find her dream dress for her tropical destination wedding. This was the fifth bridal shop we had visited, but it should have been the first! The store is spacious and has a HUGE selection of dresses. Jeanine was immediately warm and welcoming, making us all feel comfortable and relaxed. She had already pulled a dress that my friend specifically came to try and had pulled other similar dresses that were within my friend's preferred style and price range. We did not feel rushed or pressured to make a decision and were allowed to accessorize with the vast variety of veils, jewelry, and sashes Pure Bliss has to offer. My friend ultimately ended up choosing the dress we originally came for and in addition, bought a veil, a pair of earrings, and a satin sash! We were all absolutely thrilled with the entire experience - it could not have been better. On a side note, this is my 8th time being a bridesmaid in a wedding. I have been to more bridal shops than I care to admit. I can confidently say that this was THE best experience I have ever had in one. In the future, I will recommend Pure Bliss to all of my engaged friends, their fiances, and their wedding parties (did you know they also have tuxes and bridesmaid dresses?!). Pure Bliss has a beautiful showroom with a huge selection of dresses in all shapes and sizes. I'm a street size 16, so that was very important to me. The best part? I didn't even have to look through the racks! I spoke with Jeanine on the phone when I made the appointment and she asked all the right questions. If I could give Pure Bliss 10 stars I would! My mother and I went to Pure Bliss for my wedding dress and everything from the first "interaction" to the last was perfect. My initial phone call with Jeanine was very welcoming, she then went ahead and emailed me with some questions to feel out my personality, style and what I was looking for. My mother and I went on a Saturday and at the initial walk in we felt so welcomed! I went in to my fitting room area and there was a little signed displayed personalized with my name on it making me feel so comfortable. Dresses were already pulled for me from the information that was retrieved prior to what I was looking for. Now, I'm not a girl who willing goes out every Saturday and shops for clothing! Maybe 10 years ago but not now. So trying on multiple dresses and feeling comfortable ; not defeated is what I was dreading. Let me say WOW I have never felt so comfortable in my life! I could've tried dresses on all day! But luckily I found the dress! So I did not have to do that. Jeanine is wonderful, she truly listened to me and I felt like she saw exactly what I was envisioning in my mind. Once my hair piece/veil went on, she nailed it. A flood of emotions came over me and I felt all the feels, a huge part goes to Jeanine for making me feel perfect and special. Vanita was also amazing, she also helped through the entire process! I recently purchased a bridesmaid dress here. Will never use them again! I live in NY so I had my seamstress here measure me, and when I called to order they told me my measurements do not fit their sizes . They ordered a size above what they told me they were going to order without consulting me. I waited 6 months for my "custom made" dress, only to have my seamstress in NY find a "made in China" label stuck deep within the layers! And of course, the dress was a size too big! Luckily I could have it altered. Others in the bridal party had the same problems, and when they had their dresses altered at the shop, were charged almost the same price as another dress to have them fixed! read more

I was initially worried about going to a "small" boutique because i'm plus size and have a tight budget but they had a HUGE selection of plus size and not to mention helpful and wonderful staff. I came in 3 different times to show different people the dress before saying yes, but I am so glad that I did! Vanita was there from the beginning to the end and knew I was in good hands from the first visit. They were available for any questions I had over the phone, in person, or over email. They really made you feel like family, something you don't get at big brand corporations Although I was unaware most designers upcharge for plus size (although I should've known), it was definitely still worth the price in the end. I cannot say enough about this boutique and Vanita!!! After 7 other stores and over 60 dresses this place was a breath of fresh air and restored my hope in finding the perfect dress. Vanita is beyond good at her job, we showed her some photos of what I was looking for, gave her a size range, and told her that it had to be something I could take off the rack or get in less than 2 months (we're eloping/running away). She not only found me the absolute perfect dress but managed to put me in multiple dresses that were amazing and worlds better than anything I found anywhere else. And like most brides I really just wanted to feel special and not that I was just another number. This place was perfect for that. I was in the Newburyport area for friend's wedding, which was black tie optional. I had just zipped up my dress that I brought with me and Murphy's Law struck. The zipper split with me stuck in the dress. After a minor (ok major) meltdown, we found Pure Bliss. We came in those doors with our hair on fire; we had 35 minutes to find a dress and make the drive to the wedding. The woman working (so sorry I didn't get your name in the emotional state I was in) was so helpful, pulling dress after dress for me to try on. Pure Bliss was my second wedding dress shopping location. I was the first appointment of the day and immediately felt welcome. Maxine made the experience extremely comfortable and relaxing. They knew my preferences before walking through the door by having me fill out a form, so she had a few dresses pulled aside for me to try on. However, she still let us walk around and browse for ourselves at all the dresses before trying on anything! Absolutely loved this, unlike other locations where the dresses are kept in the back for only the stylist to see. I truly appreciated her willingness to help, her honest feedback and her ability to make my mom, cousin, and I feel at home. Best of all, she helped me find my dress! I had a wonderful experience at Pure Bliss! I made an appointment about a week in advance. Vanita worked with me to get try on the dresses that my bridal party and I picked out, and also brought dresses that fit what I was liking so far. She made sure to ask my opinion of each dress before bringing me out to show my bridal party so that their comments wouldn't influence my immediate reaction to the dress! I brought 6 people with me, plus a 10 month old, and Vanita was so nice about the amount of people and the baby! I would have been happy with ANY of the gowns I tried on; they were all so beautiful. I had a very pleasant experience working with Pure Bliss. I was able to find my dream dress for less than $1,000 which is far less than I ever imagined I would end up paying for a wedding dress. Pure Bliss is pretty average for a bridal boutique. You're set up with a consultant who is attentive and works with you only, which is nice. The areas they provide for your family and friends to sit is pretty small and not too private compared to some of the other stores I visited. Pure Bliss has kind of strange hours that didn't work too well with my schedule, but thats only me; I'm sure this is not the case for every bride who shops there! I worked with Maxine when finding my dress and she is awesome. She was really helpful and accommodating and was honest about prices and what fits flattered me and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't love. Another really great thing about pure bliss is that you can see all the dresses they have, and you can try any of them on. Some of the other stores only allowed consultants into the dress room, so you were really just counting on them to find things you might like, which was not the case here. In all, I would certainly (and have already!) recommend Pure Bliss to other brides, just make sure to make an appointment! read more

I've been holding off for a year to write this review, but felt it was time to finally say something. Buy your dress here. DO NOT get your alterations done here. The selection of dresses are abundant and at a great price. I was pretty laid back going into dress shopping. I told my mother and friends to pick out ones they liked and I would tried them all on. I figured I would base it off what looked best on my body type. And the attendant was super helpful. I found the dress here (at the very first shop) and was happy. BUT do not get your dress altered here. First off the price is ridiculous and the work is lousy and with attitude. I came in alone for my final fitting (which by the way you should never go alone) and had to take off work because the seamstress only works on weekDAYS. Im 5'2 and could see the dress had not been shortened. I had to tell her and she tried to play dumb. I couldn't even walk in the dress without tripping. She finally agreed. But I look at my wedding pictures now and it still looks too long. And I had the same exact experience as another reviewer and my bustle was created with one tiny fish eye hook to hold up the heavy train. Literally 10 minutes into my reception (before my first dance) the entire thing ripped off. I had to carry my train the entire night while dancing. I wish I knew better, but after seeing my sister in laws dress she had 8 buttons for her train. So at least three buttons would have been nice. And not a flimsy fish eye hook. Don't get your veil, jewelry, shoes, etc here either. Waaaaay over priced. They tried charging my $300 for a simple shoulder length veil. My fiend got hers custom made floor length veil somewhere else for less than $100. read more

What a mess! My husband ordered a suit for a wedding from Pure Bliss. As we live in Seattle, he was measured by a tailor at Nordstrom's. He was expecting a custom suit to be delivered in 2 months or so. After waiting over 3 months an off-the-rack suit appeared at the door. It was so far off the measurements the professional tailors at Nordstrom refused to touch it. We called Pure Bliss and asked if they could look into exchanging the suit. After being led to believe that this was a possibility by an associate (who was kind enough to call "The Warehouse" to see if it was in stock), we were told by a higher up who called us back that special occasion pieces were non-refundable and we would have to buy a second suit regardless of availability. My husband currently looks like a clown in an ill-fitting off-the-rack suit that cannot be altered to fit him. I am calling the maker of the suit to see it there is a way we can make this situation right. If they are unable to assist us, I will start in on other wedding clothiers. I have hope that there will be someone out there that can at least get him looking like he isn't wearing a suit made for a Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker. I am very disappointed with the customer service here. I wish we had read the YELP reviews prior to getting involved with this company. We are upset for the following reasons: 1. When the measurements they received did not fit their off-the-rack suit sizes exactly, they made the decision to round up in size without contacting us. 2. It took 3 months to receive an off-the-rack suit 3. They initially led us to believe that we could exchange the suit. 4. We were told that there was no way for them to correct the problem... oh, and if they did have the correct size and happened to send it to us like they initially inferred they would, we would have been surprised to discover that we would not have been able to return the 1st suit. UPDATE!!!: Went to the wedding and the bride's dress fell apart where they altered it. read more

I went to Pure Bliss with my mother and two aunts to try on wedding dresses and we had a wonderful experience! I found PB through Instagram when I got engaged and was excited they carried three dress designers that I was interested in: Maggie Sottero, Stella York, and Allure. We had a noontime appointment and though the one before mine ran a little longer than expected, the owner got us started right on time. There was a HUGE sale and it was fun to pick through the different dresses, though I did not find one from the sale rack (isn't that always the way!?). I did find a veil to perfectly match my dress on sale for $69! When I found THE dress (Maggie Sottero) and wanted to celebrate, they even brought us out some seltzer water to toast. It was super cute. They did everything to make sure that the experience was not overwhelming and fun! read more
