Their Teams know the product , explain it well- and let's not forget - THEY DONATE A PAIR for every pair sold! Stellar. Good selection of frames, but get your eye exam from an independent optometrist or ophthalmologist. WP is only interested in getting you in and out quickly for an eye exam so they can sell you frames. I ended up returning three pairs of prescription glasses and, after having a second exam from an ophthalmologist, was told WP made my prescription nearly twice the level I needed. It's about quantity of people coming through the doors, not the quality of the exam. read more

Dr. Taylor at Warby Parker Oakbrook was wonderful! She was delicate in talking about my new need for readers and to the time to explain my options. I appreciated how thorough she was looking up my previous order. Apparently there are no reps that come by WB anymore so she didn't have any samples or coupons for eye drops:( They always have a great selection of cool eyewear. From inside the exam room, it sounded really busy in the store - we both commented "sounds like a party out there!" It turns out, no other customers were in the store. There were 3 employees CACKLING while the soft spoken gal was trying to help me check out (see photos). The sales gal was explaining the special $$$ lenses and I could barely hear her! Precious and Zach were very helpful at Warby Parker in the Oakbrook shopping center today! Even though it was crazy busy (personal space not a thing here), I was able to try on several pairs of glasses before settling on a cool frame and some sunnies. If you can come in with your prescription in hand, I highly encourage you to! All I had to do was take a PD or pupillary distance test, which was two seconds. They just give you this weird pair of binoculars to look into and stare at a light while it measures the distance between your eyes. Mine's almost perfectly symmetrical lol. Prescription. Frames. Done. Ordered the glasses to be shipped home to me in 7-10 days flat. I'm a happy camper. read more

I walked in and was greeted with a " first let me tell you how much your glasses will be" that was not my question, nor did I need that answer.Was given a gift card otherwise I would of walked. I Was pointed to the glasses. Now I'm trying on glasses that had fingerprint and gross sumg stuff on, of course, all the styles I liked. Had to find a salesperson in a non busy store to have the most coldest check out... Shopping for lenses should not be a stressful thing to do; and have found it to be in my previous experiences, luckily that was not my experience at Warby Parker. I entered their store after having a most distasteful visit from Pearle Vision and couldn't believe the difference both in the atmosphere, frame selection and pricing. My sister turned me to Warby and I'm glad she did. Upon entering we were greeted by the staff and they proved to be helpful as it was our first time at the store. I love the fact that their frames are gender neutral! No longer is there a separation in selection from "women" to "men". Frames should be made to look great no matter who you are. I felt very at easy browsing through and picked a frame very early on. I was concerned about pricing having been to previous stores and always finding myself with hidden fees, but not here. They were upfront on what was included with the price and it seemed fairly reasonable to me. I even got myself a pair of sunglasses. I have always wanted a pair but found them to be overly expensive at the eye centers I use to frequent. The associate who help me place the order was patient and the one who greeted me at the door. I appreciated her attentiveness and how fast the process was. Again, I don't feel that shopping for glasses should be stressful and thankfully that's the last thing I felt here. I've seen this place online before checking out a brick and mortar location and thought that their frames were very modern, fun, and versatile. I'm not a big glasses person (prefer contacts), but my boyfriend desperately needed a new prescription and frames. I saw that they had a location close to where we were staying at the time and even though he was a little reluctant to check them out because he had never heard of the company before, I convinced him to go inside. He's very happy he did! What I appreciate most about even just browsing at this store is that the representatives on the floor are actually helpful! Thankfully my boyfriend has a very nice face shape to wear most frames, but because he hasn't shopped in a while, he wasn't completely confident in all of the choices we were looking at. It was a little overwhelming for him. The woman who helped took the time to measure the distance between his eyes with their software and determine his frame size, ranging from narrow to wide (and possible extra narrow and extra wide, i believe). When he gathered a few frames, he went back to her and asked for her professional opinion on what looked the best. She gave great advice and more recommendations for him to finally determine which ones he purchased. I'm happy that he now feels confident in what he'll be wearing on his face, which is super important! He ordered them through Warby Parker and set up an eye appointment for a few days later. When he did arrive for that, it took about 30 minutes and he said that the doctor was extremely efficient and kind. She spoke in detail about his eyes and reassured him about his eyesight, which he always assumed was doomed. I can't wait to see the frames and how they look on him. Overall, great experience at this location and of the company in general. I'm more picky with my frames (I can't wear many styles) but I believe I'll be returning when I am ready to replace my glasses with some Warby's! read more

Last weekend I went into Warby Parker to look for new glasses. When I first walked in the store it was a little overwhelming, but once I got my bearings it was much better. I told an employee I needed new glasses. She said I should pick out a pair of frames, and then come back to her so she could get me set up. She said the frames are organized by shape, round ones and square/rectangular ones. The price show in the tag includes the lenses (it includes standard lenses, I believe more complicated lenses are an additional cost). My husband and I walked around and I tried on a bunch of frames. It was a bit challenging to maneuver around all the other people trying on frames, but it was a Saturday at Oakbrook Mall. It's obviously going to be busy. Eventually I settled on a pair, and went back to the lady checking people in. She put my name in to meet with an optician. Even with the crowd, I only waited a few minutes. She created an account for me, and was able to skip the prescription part temporarily. I had forgotten my prescription at home, but it was not an issue and I would be able to upload load it when I got home. I chose to have the completed glasses shipped to my house, and paid for them. The whole process took less than the amount of time it took my husband to go buy a Starbucks. When I got home I took a picture of my prescription and uploaded through the app, or you can use the website. My glasses were estimated to arrive within 14 days, but they ended up arriving the following Saturday! They didn't fit quite right, so we went back to the store to have them adjusted. Again, the store was packed, but again, I only had to wait about 5 minutes to meet with the optician to get them adjusted. I'd definitely recommend glasses from Warby Parker. They cost about half of what my husband paid for glasses at the eye doctor, and the quality is great. read more

Glasses, and glasses galore! I spy with my eyes, blurry glasses. Although it was somewhat blurry because I needed some new ones because of my old script. I've heard many a great things about Warby Parker for the last several years due to their low cost glasses as well as the variety they provide for their customers. The first time I've been a WP store was in San Jose, and that place is way huge. This store unfortunately is a bit smaller, however having to fit and maneuver a spot in Oakbrook Mall where they've already delegated the area very strictly, was a feat in of itself. Store looks bright, welcoming, and warm (definitely the ambiance one would like customers to have if they want them to be happy). The customer services portion of the store was spot on. If there was any need of help or explanation of the glasses or the store as a whole, the staff at the store were more than happy to volunteer and guide! I had already looked online for glasses, which helps narrow down your selection. Get yourself in there during the off hours. I recommend calling in and checking, otherwise you might be elbow to elbow with other customers. Hopefully they'll get a new renovation for more space in the near future? Let's go! read more

Love this store front. It's always clean and organized inside. The staff is friendly, but not overly pushy. They're happy to help, but not overtly in your face about what you're looking to buy. I came in by myself right after I had updated my prescription. After I had narrowed down which frames I liked it was nice to have a second opinion from one of the team members in store. The order was placed quickly, and I left feeling content and confident about my purchase. She even explained how my insurance may do reimbursement, and where i could find the forms to submit to said insurance. She said my glasses would arrive in roughly two weeks, and I'm happy to report they came in less than one (this was my husband's experience as well). I AM WORRIED!I went into the OakBrook store on September 2. That visit was pleasant and socially distant. I purchased 2 pairs of glasses. And this, I might add, is AFTER being spoiled by a Vision Service Plan for 13 years. I received one notice from WARBY PARKER saying it would be the 14th...THEN the 17th.... TODAY.... While we waited nearly 30 minutes for an eye exam the overall experience made it worth it. Both my husband and I had an eye exam and got glasses. The optometrist was thorough and very helpful in understanding my needs and my husband's needs. I wasn't upsold into unnecessary services or products. The woman who helped my husband was amazing and kept him from getting a completely wrong pair of glasses. She too was thorough and carefully measured him for his first pair of progressive lenses. The gentleman who helped me was great and very knowledgeable. I got one pair of glasses at $95 and yes that includes the frame and the lenses. My sun glasses were more as I expected. The $95 price point is somewhat misleading, as that's the start of the price of a pair of glasses. That's simply the cost of the frames, which are okay - nothing spectacular, certainly not on the order of couture designer styling, either. They're merely simple frames that look fine. As an often glasses wearer when contacts are plagued by terrible allergies, I've seen my share of frames & lenses. Though these are way cheaper than a pair of Versace or Burberry, Chanel or Tiffany's - they also don't have a pricey designer or design house beside their name. Warby Parker is not Swarovski, and it's not Bvlgari. That's where the 95 bucks is no big deal. It's what is expected for both style & name. Quality seems similar if buying eyeglasses from a store versus an eye doctor, works for you. Customer service is good. Not as good as at my eye doctor, but certainly good enough to feel safe that I'm going to walk out with a pair of glasses that fits right and everything in my prescription is where it should be. With lenses, that awesome $95 became $328.25 total for the pair. While that's not a terrible price for a pair of prescription glasses, it's also not a steal, as advertising made me believe. I used the current prescription from my eye doctor, avoiding the $75 fee. I like the Remy. I'm not complaining, I'm just not jumping for joy that the price I paid is less than at my very reputable eye doctor with a penchant for the coolest design forward frames in every color and style known to man. Personally, I'm happiest going there. The Remy's are fine, they look nice and seem to be made well. It's just that ubiquitous in eyewear isn't a plus. I came to Warby for affordable frames/lenses that looked stylish and fit my personality. I was not disappointed! If you are in the market for about $100-$150 lenses/frames, then this is the place for you. I started by taking the online assessment where Warby will give you upwards of 20 suggestions for your face size etc. They did not disappoint in their assessment of my needs. After the assessment was complete, they sent 5 frames to my doorstep where I had 5 days to try them on and see which ones fit my needs. I quickly figured out which pair I wanted and went online to their website and input my order. One of the things I enjoyed most was the fact that I didn't need to give them my prescription. They called my optometrist and took care of it all. I got a call one day later from a Warby optometrist who asked if I would like to have my lenses made from a different material that would allow my glasses to be slimmer; rather than look like coke bottles! I said yes, for an additional $29 charge. Got them in the mail one week later. They came in a nice box that protected them in transit and were made of high quality material. This is where the only problem occurred. When I took them out they didn't fit! They were way thinner than the trial pair that I tried on just two weeks earlier. Not a problem if there was a store close by. Unfortunately, the closest store is in Oakbrook, 1.5 hours away from me. Warby will tell you that most optometrist offices will be able to adjust the glasses, but when I called mine, they said that they specifically refuse to do Warby glasses as they are fragile and brittle. With that, I decided it was best to get them adjusted by the store I bought them from so we made the trek down to Oakbrook and they did not disappoint. They were personal and friendly with no wait. I am so glad I was introduced to Warby Parker! Warby Parker charges $95 for most frames and lenses. That is $95 for BOTH your frames and your lenses! That is why I love this company, even if you don't have insurance you can afford their glasses. Even if you do have insurance, their glasses are generally the cheapest. At first I was leery, I thought they would be poor quality or have limited options. Not at all! That is why I am so glad they opened up a store in oak brook. I entered the store and all their glasses are sorted by the size of the frame with many different color options for each size of frame. I found so many glasses that I liked which is pretty rare for me! The sales associate was fantastic! She helped me pick out glasses that looked good with my face structure and was very patient with me! Another aspect I like about this store was that no one was pushy, they truly want to help you find the best pair of glasses for you! Right now you cannot get your eye exam at this location. I would suggest going to Target or Cosco for a cheap exam and ask for a written prescription. Then all you need to do is bring in your prescription, pick out your glasses, and they will send them to you in the mail! I got my glasses in less than a week! I had a good experience here buying glasses. I was familiar with Warby Parker's home try-on program but was excited to hear they opened this location in the Oak Brook mall so I could just stop in and try on glasses - much easier. The first time I stopped in, the store was rather busy and the associates were very focused on helping one guest at a time, so unfortunately, nobody was able to even greet me or answer any questions. I came back about a week later and placed my order with the lovely Desiree who not only helped me through the order process but also provided me with some knowledge of the brand. She seemed to be very passionate about the brand which was nice to see. I paid a bit extra to get my glasses more quickly (expected one week from order date, without the expedited shipping it'd be 2 weeks from order date) and they actually arrived 2 BUSINESS DAYS LATER! I know, I was amazed, too. I do wish they had an optician in the store so I could have done my exam right then and there. The shopping experience was pleasant, the available frames attractive - but I've been having headaches and needing to take my glasses off whenever I do close work (reading, using my phone or computer, etc.) so I went to my eye doctor's office to have my eyes and my 6 month old Warby Parker glasses checked again. First, the store refused to cooperate with the optician at my doctor's office without me knowing what credit card I used. Next, the eye clinic optician checked my Warby Parker lenses and found that (1) they got the astigmatism significantly wrong - not matching the prescription (2) the progressive bifocal line was too low on the glasses and (3) the spot on the each lens where my pupil was expected to be didn't match my eyes and was uneven/different on both lenses. I'm never going back. I'll get the expensive fix because I do like the frames, but seriously anyone looking for glasses needs to be careful at Warby Parker. read more

Great selection of frames and great service. Frames are reasonably priced with different styles to fit your needs. Once you order them you get them back in about a week (based on my experience), and it can be delivered to your home or to the store. You can then go in to the store and get your frames adjusted as needed. For those with VSP insurance, you will pay for your frames up front and then get reimbursed. The amount you'll get back varies with your plan, so check the VSP website for more info. For example, my glasses cost about $230 ($95 for the frames and standard lenses, $130 extra for the lenses because I needed the ultra-thin ones) and I got back $120 from VSP. If you don't need ultra-thin lenses, you can get frames and lenses for just $95. They have options for bifocals, prescription polarized sunglasses, and light-sensitive (think generic Transition) lenses. You can bring a current prescription to them or you can have them do an eye test that costs $75 (I believe). They have appointments you can schedule online. I had a great experience at the Oak Brook WP location when I went there a couple of months ago and ordered the Haskell glasses. The overall look of the store was aesthetically pleasing. The employees were incredibly helpful and were quick and accurate in measuring my PD and my OC. Purchasing them was a breeze. It took only about a week to get my glasses. I love the case they came in and the microfiber cloth they include is really high quality. I went to the store to pick it up and they were meticulous in the adjustment of my glasses. My Haskells are still going strong, and I'm planning to come back for another pair in the future. One thing about the glasses themselves is that they seem to attract more dust than I'm used to, but it may just be because of the larger lens size. So one Saturday (8/19 around 4:30/5:00pm), my daughter and I went shopping to Oak Brook Mall for her birthday and I decided to go into Warby Parker to try on some eyeglasses. We walked into the store and though there were 2 people (1 woman and 1 man) standing behind the counter and another employee by the displays, my daughter and I were not greeted. We proceeded to go try glasses on and even took pictures with various glasses for reference and not one of your sales reps approached us to ask for assistance. If you need awesome glasses for a great price, Warby Parker is the place for you! I got 2 pairs of glasses for $95 each! What a deal! You basically pick out a frame and get the poly carbonate lenses (thinner lenses) and the anti-reflective coating (makes it easier to see at night & there is no reflection on your glasses when someone looks at you) for the price of the frame! The frames are made in Italy, and are really great quality. Plus they donate a pair of eyeglasses for every pair sold, and if your lenses get scratched they will replace them for free within the first year. You can also have your glasses shipped to your house and go in the store if they need any adjustments. I had gone with a coworker to the Gold Coast location during lunch and had picked out a pair that I liked before going to the Oak Brook location. When I went to the Oak Brook, I received great service and since I already knew what I wanted, I was out of the store in no time! I received great service and got awesome glasses! I love the service and styles that Warby offers, I've been wanting glasses from here for awhile. I was super excited when they finally came to the burbs, since i don't really like going to the city. There was no optometrist at the time when I went to Warby, maybe by now they do since I saw online that they were looking to fill an optometrist position at Oak Brook. I went to Target and go an eye exam and them I brought my prescription to Warby. I walked into Warby and was greeted by a really nice male associate, I told him Ive never purchased glasses at Warby before and gave him my prescription. I walked around and picked up several glasses that I really liked and the helpful associate assisted me in deciding what fit me best, it was really great having a second opinion. After I made my decision he measured my nose bridge and my head. I then paid for my glasses and asked for them to be sent to my work. The frames cost $95, and that included the lens, after taxes it came out to $95.95. I then submitted the receipt to my insurance and received a little over $75 back. My glasses only ended up costing me $20, I've normally paid hundreds even with insurance. I came in with pretty busted frames today. They were stepped on and mangled, with a poor attempt at fixing them at home. I came in desperate for some help and the optometrist that was in, Mr. Nick, worked some awesome magic on them. He probably went back and forth to fix them over 10 times and was patient with me when I asked if they were crooked a few too many times. Recently decided I needed new glasses and I didn't want to spend a ton of money. Who does? I also have a serious problem with all the Luxotica monopoly brands like PearleVision,. So I was looking for an inexpensive, non-luxotica place to get some new specs. Then I remembered Warby Parker. Between their online chat, email, phone support and in-store experience at oak Brook terrace with Taylor and Lukas, this has been one of the absolute best customer service experiences I've ever had. The whole process was very smooth. At every point along the way, everyone knew the history of the transaction. Glasses were made quickly and shipped fast. We tried the in home try-on process with a lot of success and then ordered two different sets. Everything was perfect on one set for my son, but mine were off. I was off balance and getting nauseated. After a visit back to my eye Dr to change the Rx, Warby replaced my glasses free of charge since I was within the 30 day window. Lukas in Oakbrook Terrace adjusted the new glasses and I was good to go. No hoops to jump through, no one saying it wasn't their job or transferring me all over the place. People at Warby appear to be enabled to make decisions and fixing problems for customers. Brilliant. We are considering a second set for each of us. We stopped in here while walking around Oak Brook Center and they made me a believer! Everyone who worked there was so helpful, even for a busy Sunday afternoon, and I totally dig their concept.....and prices! I've been putting off buying glasses for a number of years due to laziness and not wanting to shell out $400 but Warby Parker (how adorable is that name?) is very affordable and stylish, two things that are hard to come by. I highly doubt I will visit this location again but I will definitely be checking them out online soon. read more

So happy with having a location to go to. So typically I have only bought glasses online. But when my caspar came in, I wasn't in love with them...so I decided to give the store a try. I went to the oakbrook location because I figured it would be less of a hassel. They were busy but provided the utmost customer service. Asif or Arif, I'm sorry I can't remember his name but he was tall, super nice, dark hair and wore chamberlain glasses. He spent literally an hour and half with me and my friend helping us decide on the frames. I wanted to go back to a winston and get a different frame but he guided me through different selections to change my style up. Because I had 2 Winstons, 1 winston sunglasses, and a cateye frame I never wear anymore. I ended up with the tortious in percy and I love them. They are light, trendy and they truly look cute. I bought glasses I love, easily and efficiently at the store, with great service. When I lost them, I called the store to simply order a replacement. The difficulty is apparently I don't keep track of which credit card I use so they can't find me or my glasses (I do not have a common name). I have made 3 calls, most recently with an unpleasant "customer service" agent named Sierra at a national number (even tho I called the local store) who suggested I go online and verify my identity, etc. Etc. I did not use email and have no clue which of my cards I used. So much for customer service. Guess I will find glasses Elsewhere. read more
