Tipp is very talented with highlights and took her time to make sure they were done well. The light brown highlights came out darker than I expected at first, and I mentioned I wasn't a big fan of the darker shade. I am so thankful that I found Tipp and Moda Organics! My husband and I have a wellness practice in Fair Oaks and encourage our patients to eat organic as much as possible, I hadn't even considered - or even thought - there are organic products for my hair. *UPDATE* 1/2019 Tipp reached out to me after seeing how unhappy I was with everything and was very apologetic that things turned out poorly. She seemed truly disappointed that I was so unhappy and was very eager to make it up to me. I think the products she uses are great, and I'm sure when not dealing with henna the process would've turned out very differently, gone more quickly, and had a better result. They were both long days for both of us, and I'm sure she was just as frazzled as I was. I greatly appreciate her reaching out and have updated my review to reflect her above and beyond customer service.* Where to begin. It takes a lot for me to consider a negative review and I've waited over a month to review. I originally came here because I've been searching for a natural hair dye alternative and was looking for someone to deal with the henna in my hair, which is a unique challenge in and of itself. The oway website looked like it had a method so I thought it would be a good place to go. Tipp told me she'd dealt with henna before, that we could go lighter, tried to strip it with bleach and then attempted to balayage (which I did ask for, but I didn't know any better) but my hair turned bright orange and the balayage was poorly done (per another hair stylist). It took 7 hrs. I called in sick to work the next day to fix it and waited an HOUR past my appointment time and then she took 3 more hours to low light the base color down into the rest of my hair. The color turned out ok thankfully but even she admitted she shouldn't have said she could take it lighter. I unfortunately allowed her to cut it as well. I've lived with the cut for over 6 weeks before going back to my normal girl, I've had such a hard time styling it and it turns out it's because the cut was uneven, the top layer far too thick, and the whole cut wasn't properly blended. My hair is now heavily overprocessed and almost impossible to comb through when wet without a ton of product. All this and she charged me full price for both the color correction and the balayage. Needless to say I won't be back. read more
