In February, I only had a fill, but today, I also had a pedicure with a sea salt scrub and callous remover. This was my first pedicure in about a year; it was way overdue. The pedicure and fill were excellent. I was surprised I could make a last-minute appointment for a Friday afternoon, so I was delighted it worked out. I selected a manicure that included an 8-minute massage. From the beginning, Lilian appeared unhappy and irritated. I also noticed that I did not see her open a sterile pouch for the tools, and the tray at her station appeared dirty and had visible debris on it, which immediately concerned me. While she was working on my hands, she pulled and handled them in a way that felt impatient and rough. My mom and I were getting the exact same manicure at the same time, so I could clearly see the difference in service. Her technician was still massaging her hands while Lilian had already stopped mine after only about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes per hand and was trying to move on to polishing my nails. Because I noticed how quickly she stopped, I checked the time on my phone. When I brought it to her attention that the service included an 8-minute massage, her attitude changed immediately. She became upset and said, "Fine, fine, fine," grabbed my arm, and continued the massage in an irritated and aggressive manner. At that point, I no longer wanted her touching me. I felt extremely uncomfortable and honestly felt that the interaction had become hostile. No customer should feel intimidated or treated disrespectfully for simply asking to receive the service they paid for. I want to make it clear that the owners and the other young woman working there were very nice and welcoming. My complaint is specifically about my experience with this technician. I came here to relax and enjoy time with my family, not to leave feeling stressed and upset. I am also seriously concerned about the cleanliness and sanitation practices I personally observed at her station. I hope management takes this complaint seriously, addresses the customer-service and sanitation concerns, and ensures that other customers do not have a similar experience.
