First time visiting Model T Pub & Eatery. Dee greeted us warmly. Several Hi top & low top tables and bar seating available to choose from. TV's on each wall, & looks like a good place to go watch games. 2nd time visiting. Nice to see the two live Christmas trees outside the front of the entrance. I recently learned today that all businesses that have these Christmas trees, will donate them to a needy family that reside in our lovely Hoodsport community. Isn't that absolutely wonderful? We ordered a BLT subbed sweet potato fries and an 8 piece fried chicken and Jo's with macaroni salad for a side. We placed today's order to go and Kathy was very friendly and attentive. Being that it is Monday night football with the Eagles at Chargers, the place picked up business. The lively chatter was welcoming. A stark contrast to the quiet gift my Hoodsport neighborhood up the mountain offers every single day. I met the owner Eric, and Val who went straight to work in the grill area pumping out food. My husband liked his fried chicken , Jo's & macaroni salad. I asked him if money was not a concern, which chicken would he prefer, the Market or Model T? He quickly replied "without a doubt Model T!" It's pressure cooked to order and so juicy!" I had a taste of the Mac salad and it was delicious. One of the best macaroni salads I've tried. I enjoyed the BLT and the sweet potato fries. We did order a $9.99 bowl of the brisket barley soup. It was hearty, full of barley. I would prefer if it had more meat though. There were only tiny bits of meat in the to go container that had me questioning if it was a cup instead of the bowl I ordered. We have leftovers which is nice. And next time, I believe I'll order the taco salad. Val had just made one and its presentation was on point. read more

This was a random stop on a road trip, it was amazing. The fried chicken was top notch. I had a honey garlic shrimp salad that was wonderful. Cook was great, owner was super friendly and personable. Definitely will stop again next time through. read more

First off let me say I've been to the Model T at least a dozen times. Always had an amazing experience until now. I stopped in to order gizzards to-go since Model T has the best fried gizzards west of the Mississippi. I spoke with the Cook which is an amazing human being btw. He threw down the gizzards promptly. Amazing customer service. They were ready in no time so I asked the cook if I could pay. The other gentleman asked me if I had a table. I said no, I just placed a to-go order. I handed him a $20 for the gizzards and he walked to the register. He asked me a question...I could not really make out what he said so I said keep the change. $8 dollars or so. He raised his voice and said I didn't ask you that! I asked you what your name was in an obvious irritation condensating way. I am a disabled veteran who served during desert shield/storm and for this guy to treat me the way he did is unacceptable. If he wanted to ask me a question, he could've came closer instead of yelling it out loud. The bar is always very loud btw so it's difficult to understand anyone at a distance especially this who have hearing disabilities. It's not what you say, but how you say it. Very rude and unprofessional. I looked at the cook in total shock and mentioned I'm a veteran with PTSD. He said like a professional "I'm sorry sir". I walked out than thought, I don't know if this guy is the owner or a bartender but for a 1 min face to face encounter, I left with me SMH. I'm sure 1 unhappy patron won't change the dynamics of the Model T but I think all people should be treated with the utmost respect. My sister and I always search for the best fish and chips. You would think on the Olympic Peninsula it would be easy to find .....but it isn't. The man who owns the VRBO we stayed at recommended The Model T Pub. We were pleased to find they served beer battered Alaskan cod which was moist and delicious. Served on a mountain of fries with delicious tartar sauce.....I was satisfied. The woman working the bar is an expert wait person. She was filling drinks, taking food orders and cleaning while the packed house watched the Seahawks. Next time I'm in the area, this is my new "go-to" for fish and chips. The staff - not friendly. The guy behind the counter (older white man with glasses), extremely disrespectful and unfriendly. Got our entire groups order wrong (no modifications to the order btw- literally just the order w/ our choice of side). Granted they were busy - but the attitude and the rudeness of the staff made this experience so unjoyable. We waited over 45 minutes for our pizza - the staff got attitudes when we asked if it was still coming, when everyone else in our party had eaten & finished and we still hadnt gotten it. We both really enjoyed our food and also had the cook send out another order of fish because he thought he overcooked mine ( which I didn't think they were) totally unexpected but pretty cool. It went south from there, the place had plenty of locals getting drinks and food and they just forgot about us. Finally had to get our food and take it to the bar to get a box to go and pay our bill. Great food and service. Friendly local pub. The Model T Pub is the kind of place that keeps you coming back. The Chicken and Joes were crispy, hot, and packed with flavor, and the Chicken Ranch Sandwich was just as good--fresh and exactly what you want in a solid meal. The service was excellent, super friendly, and made the whole experience even better. The local Potlatch beer from across the street was a nice bonus, but the food and locals are what the Model T really stand out. Great place!! **Inexpensive $6 Top shelf mixed drinks (Grey Goose Vodka/etc) - Great Cider my wife loves and all sorts of Beers on Tap and in Bottles. This is a small quaint Sports Bar and great place to watch the Mariners - Seahawks - Etc. Food is good with the best Broasted Chicken I have ever tasted. Pulled in to town late and they were the only joint open. Sat at the bar and quickly ordered a drink and a burger before noticing that none of the staff or patrons were wearing masks, in violation of state public health code. Then I noticed the sign that said, "THANK YOU JAY INSLEE for screwing my business and my customers!" so you know the owner is an edgy person who probably excels at conducting their own "research." However, it's not the governor of Washington's fault that the drink sucked and the burger was of school cafeteria quality and the owner should really take some personal responsibility instead of trying to shift the blame to Mr. Inslee. Cold bun straight outta the bag, gray meat, literally the worst burger I've had in recent memory and totally not worth $10 and being exposed to COVID and whatever other viruses are probably lurking there. The one waitress was nice but she can't mix a drink for shit. The other woman working made a loud, shitty remark about how woman who was recently murdered by her boyfriend probably deserved it. Great food and good, American loving owner and staff! The prefect stop in hoodsport. This "pandemic" has been hard on businesses and I'm glad to see these guys made it through and did it with style. The location is perfect, regardless of your end destination. It's on the corner as your head up to cushman or staircase or right on route if your going further north. The food is great, classic American bar food (they do have an under 21 section though!). The place is clean and the vibe is good. It's hands down the best place in the area. Something about this restaurant spoke to me. Maybe it was its alluring sign telling minors to bring their parents to get drunk, or maybe it was the subtlety flirty waiter that I could tell wanted to meet me in the back. Either way from the second I stepped in such a fine establishment I felt like I died and went to heaven. I attended with my grandmother and rabbi. The latter wanted to pray before eating, and the other patrons, as well as the staff, were nice enough to join us in blessing our food. From there, I ordered the sushi, and my grandmother ordered the curry - both delicious. Unfortunately there was pork in my curry resulting in my rabbi leaving in a fit radicalized against pub t. The ambiance shouted AA meeting in the best way possible, from the tv playing Texas beauty pageant (8-10 year olds), every patron a 50-60 retiree stuck in small town America, wasting away chain smoking and day drinking, reminiscent to my uncle Oscar (registered). This place is truly the most tolerant place on the peninsula. Don't be fool by the Let's Go Brandon sign outside, or the don't tread on me flag hanging on the bathroom wall, this fine establishment is tolerant of all races, creeds, and sexual orientations. Shortly after my rabbi (transgender, gay) and my grandmother (lesbian) entered the restaurant with me, my boyfriend (I am gay) entered the restaurant. He is a practicing Muslim, and the staff was willing to allow him to not only make out with me passionately for the entire 4 hour feast, but they cheered us on as well. They were more than willing to talk about critical race theory and abortions rights, and I was surprised about how liberal their views were. Truly inspiring stuff. read more

It's 2022 if you can't handle someone having different opinions of something then stay the hell home. It was a male and female working and they were kicking ass trying to help everyone. Also if you don't like their opinion of their sign about our governor and don't appreciate how they handle business just stay home and eat your oatmeal with your almond milk while knitting your scarf. I have mixed feelings about this pub. It is the only real sit down pub in Hoodsport and whenever friends and I hike (which is a lot) in the area we always look forward to a beer afterwards and this is really the only place to grab one. We are always hungry but the menu here is typical fried pub food (which isnt my favorite). The cheese curds are a must do, but the rest of it.....meh. Service is hit or miss. I have had excellent service a time or two but usually it is slow and lacadaisical and they forget parts of your order or you have to get up and ask for condiments and refills and such at the bar. They are the only game in town so....Ill probably still go but it isn't my favorite and it wouldn't be a destination spot without the hiking near by. read more

We hiked Mt. Ellinor today and the whole family was ready for burgers and fries. We stopped in, they allow kids, and they have frosted glasses for beers on tap. Kids had Shirley Temples, we all ordered burgers and fries. Great burgers and generous helping of fries, hit the spot. Our waitress, server, and cook were hustling, busy Sunday night. Walked in to this small place with crowded chairs & tables. Immediately noticed the sign over the bar "Thanks Governor Inslee for screwing over our business and customers." The likelihood that the owners and most patrons are unvaccinated, all sitting around drinking en masse? Pretty darn high. Hard **pass** here.
