I called Ken on a Saturday morning just 1/2 hour before his business closes. I had the blue screen of death and my computer wouldn't boot. I work from home and my computer is my source of income. Ken picked up my computer from my doorstep within 15 minutes of my call to him for help. He was able to repair my computer by cloning the hard drive. He installed the new, faster, hard drive and delivered it to me all in under 2 hours. He also completely cleaned (inside and out) my computer before returning it to me. To say that I recommend Ken and Modern Computer Solutions is an understatement. He saved my day, week, probably month's worth of income that I would have lost if I had to buy a new computer. With chip shortages and skyrocketing inflation, it would probably have cost a fortune to replace it. Instead, I paid a lot less than what I would have been charged elsewhere (like those big-box computer stores). Mr. Ken, is very Efficient, turn around time is 'PAR EXCELLENT', GREAT PRICING! He got me up and running in not time. I called around looking for someone to fix my BIOS issue. I live in Detroit, most people, could pickup here but would not provide an address, so you wouldn't know where your computer was, all you had is a phone number I felt very uncomfortable with that. Working with Ken was a great experience. I had the dreaded blue screen. I also needed all of my emails moved from one email account to another but was having trouble. I dropped my computer off right after speaking with him (3:30) and it was fixed the following morning. He explained the hardware that had to be replaced, made my computer faster, and solved my e-mail problem. The hardware even came with a 3 year warranty. Who's an idiot and hasn't backed up her hard drive for umm, years? This girl. Thankfully, Modern Computer Solutions was to the rescue. Ken is great, he came to my house to pick up my laptop the same day I called him, and when he called back with unfortunately very bad news, that my hard drive would need to be sent to a recovery service that would (hopefully) be able to recover my data. Meanwhile, Ken installed a new hard drive on my computer and had it back in two days. Unfortunately, my printer was giving me some issues, so back he came to the house to get it all fixed up for me. He didn't even mind when my two beastly dogs came barreling into him. His prices are beyond fair, and you know exactly who is handling your stuff versus taking it to a big box store where they will charge you at least double, quick turnaround service and great customer service. read more

I knew about some of my problems with the laptop but through trial and error, not giving up hope, figured out the problem with my external memory chip. Currently writing this review from my survived laptop, Ken was fair in his assessment and by far the best priced repair shop. My 6 year old macbook pro was starting to get pretty sluggish, so I took it into MCS and Ken did an amazing job it it back in peak condition! He got it back to running lightning fast and he also had a lightning fast turn around. I dropped it off on a Tuesday and picked it up Thursday, AND he prices are great! He offers pick up and drop off service, but I just dropped by his office and it was still super easy and convenient.
