The sign on the door says they close at 9pm, but I went in to order food at 8:30pm and couldn't order what I wanted because they said they stopped making rice as they were closing in a half hour, but I could order what they had available. Should probably put a note on the door that says kitchen closes at 8:20 and they will only be serving what food they have left sitting out. This is the second time I have had issues with this location. The first, the staff was rude the worker would not stop texting somebody, getting my plate ready between texts, and now this. for six months I have been going to this restaurant. I always get the same thing. they hired a new person that decided to charge me $3 more than the normal price that I paid for my regular daily meal. I explained that I had always been charged the same for what I ordered. She refused to honor this claiming company policy. I left and the food that was prepared went to waste. I tried this spot via the To good to go app and was pleasantly surprised. Got the chicken bowl which included seasoned rice, chicken and a cucumber relish. It also came with a side of a Mediterranean dressing. The chicken is flavorful and decently cooked. I came in later in the evening and it was a little dry but still delicious. I'm pretty sure it's all dark meat that they used. The rice has nice color and a rich flavor. The cucumber was a nice fresh touch to lighten up a heavy bowl. Without the dressing the chicken is overly dry but the sauce was a great addition. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was welcoming and polite. I got the chicken bowl that was 15 dollars and some change after taxes. It absolutely was not worth the price. The portions are tiny, the quality is low and the rice is awful. I could count my tiny pieces of chicken I got 6 pieces. Much less than any other place Iv been to and much more in price. The food just did not taste great. I finished the meal still hungry. Which is never the case with the competitors. I can't believe I could get a pizza for the same price and eat half and be full, yet this place I had to cook a whole new meal after eating this to be full. Another thing that is aggravating is they have the machine that begs for a tip. I should be tipped for even coming here. This has always been my go to when my child was small. (6th Ave Pool and Splash are within a mile.) He'd devour a plate and loved all the different flavors. It's been a while since I've been here but today warmed my heart. The staff were engaging, accommodating and went over and above. My husband and I ate at the Garbanzos at Colorado Mills this evening. We arrived at 8:30 pm and were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming young woman and man. They went out of their way to be sure we were served what we wanted. Some of the items were gone or almost gone from the stainless steel bins due to a rush earlier. We didn't feel rushed and both greeted us with smiles and the guy even helped us by taking our tray for us. They close at 9:00 pm. We left at 9:15 pm. We love this place and are so pleased to have a place we can always count on healthy food and friendly faces. Even when we arrived late and are the only late diners. read more

I really enjoy this place for consistency. Excellent falafels, I love the rice and baba ghanoush! Their pitas are good too.They have recently had shortages from their suppliers and have been out of some items, but over all worth the visit! My favorite meal is the portobello salad, yum! Also, their website for online ordering is hit and miss, meaning that it is alway changing--at one time you could get smaller sides as opposed to large party sides. I hope they change it some day. This review is a little late but I just remembered my experience here and decided to write this review. It's not good. I went in late February and met my sister who had been wanting to try this place. Bad decision! It was around 12:30 (lunchtime). We had questions and the new employee didn't know much. When we finally made our decision, we both picked the authentic gyro meat just to be told they were out and it would take 30 minutes or more because it was frozen. Shouldn't someone has noticed that BEFORE they ran out at lunchtime?? Next choice was steak... yep, they were out of that as well. Worst experience I've had with takeout - we placed an order and when we got there at the time it said it will be ready, they looked surprised and said they'll start working on it immediately. I love Garbanzos and was a regular when my office was closer to the location on Colorado Blvd. This was my first visit to this location. First the store could use a little cleaning, specifically the tables that were previously occupied. The customers have removed their dishes, but a quick wipe down would have been appreciated. Again it's been a while, but it seems that the portions have gotten smaller. I ordered the steak plate, was surprised to see the hummus put in a little container in the middle. I have never left a yelp review but unfortunately, this experience was the worst one I have ever had at any restaurant. I fear for people's safety at the Colorado mills Denver west garbanzo. We walked in and both employees had masks on their face with their nose and mouth showing. Why wear a mask at all? As our food was being prepared by a person with a mask on her chin, the lady reached into her apron pocket, pulled out her cell phone, touched the screen several times and placed the phone back in her apron with her gloves on. She then precedes to continue making my food with the gloves she just had on when reaching in her pocket and handling her cell phone. I only ordered items that had a spoon to serve into my wrap avoiding any items that she would have to use her dirty gloved hands to serve. I take responsibility for not leaving right then and there or saying she needs to wash her hands and change her gloves. I'm not being paid to manage their people, so I don't know if it is my responsibility to coach her on food safety. . So much for trying to support restaurants and businesses during COVID. I shouldn't have jeopardized the safety of our family to support a business who clearly has NO CARE for the safety of their food or patrons. Ethan was The ONLY employee who had it together and is the only reason we paid for our food and didn't walk out. He was professional. Clean and well put together.
