Honestly, probably one of the longest lasting pedicures I've ever had there's almost always no wait for walk-ins and they're very friendly!

First time here...I have seen it many times on my way to the UPS drop off but never thought to try it as it looks a bit plain/hole in the wall-ish. I was desperate for a mani/pedi and they were open so I called and they were able to fit me in. Honestly, this was the best mani and pedi I have had in years and a good reminder to not judge a book by its cover. First of all, I loved how up front they were with their prices. They handed me a menu as soon as I sat down so I could choose exactly which pedi I wanted and then they didn't try to upsell me once I picked one. There were 5 spa pedi options ranging from $35-$75. I chose the middle of the pack option. There was a mud scrub, a lotion massage, a hot stone massage, and a paraffin wax treatment followed by a 10-15 min massage. It was heavenly!! My shellac mani was $35 and also had a fantastic massage. Michelle did the pedi and the nail color. Tammy did the mani prep and massage. A week later and my nails and toes still look great! I have been here years ago and did not have a favorable impression, but since I was tight on time, and my first experience was quite some time ago, I gave them another chance. I am appalled at the service I received today and the way my nails look. I'm going back to another salon tomorrow to have the gel removed and nails redone. I told the tech I wanted them short. She nicer asked exactly what length and instead took the clippers and AGGRESSIVELY cut them practically down to the nub. When she painted the first coat of polish on, she asked if I liked it and I said no, that I'd like a 2nd different top color. She refused to accept my request and wouldn't do it. At the end, she showed me my (sh*tty) nails and asked what I thought. I told her exactly what I thought. What a joke. Will never go back. read more

I usually love this place for acrylic, my favorite place whenever I come home from school. However, about 3 years ago the very first time getting gel done they started chipping a week later. Last weekend(on Saturday) I went back to them for gel, completely forgetting about my last experience. This time, the same thing happened. I've gotten gel before in my college home town and they had lasted at least 2.5 weeks before chipping. Second time here today. Had a great experience. My first time, nobody was very chatty and they were all business. Maybe just having a rough day, but they still did an amazing job on my nails. My pedicure lasted a very long time (about a month, and hadn't chipped when I came in today. This is unheard of for my nails!) The setting is unassuming, tucked into the strip mall with the UPS Store, Lucky's, CVS, etc, and not fancy, but it's neat and clean with new looking chairs. No broken furniture, messes or strong ospita from nail stuff. Rose and Kim took very good care of me today. Rose is particularly sweet, and chatted with me. Both times I've been here they've taken their time to give me a really nice massage on both my legs and arms, along with oil, scrub and a hot towel rinse, all included. I tried out shellac today, and will see how it lasts on my hands. (I posted a picture of my right pink shellac). Looks great! Prices are reasonable and they are quick! In and out of here with completely dry nails in 45 minutes. I'll be back! read more

Quick and speedy but when I treat myself to a pedicure I like to feel pampered. The nail tech's (Nancy) only interaction with me was to ask me to have a seat but I told her that I wanted to pick out my polish. I arrived 10 minutes early to my appointment so I could take my time selecting a color but I felt rushed. Start to finish was about 30-35 minutes. The length of the leg massage was ample (and VERY firm). I realized afterwards that one of my toenails was left with a sharp edge - no filing or smoothing down. I'm giving 4 stars for efficiency (if that's what your after), the staff seemed friendly and I was able to make a same-day appointment. read more

I had to update my review after a bad experience today and it's not the first time. I took the day off of work and decided to go, completing forgetting that Friday and Monday are Cindy's day off. I had shellac and wanted to get it re-done. The lady trimmed my nails super short and did not shape them well - I looked and started shaping them myself to help fix it and she grew impatient - oh well! I did not hand over the emery board. She did not even put on the polish nicely - she was dabbing it which makes it blotchy. Then, they charged me an additional $5 to remove the shellac I had gotten there before. Why? Of course I'm doing to have to remove it to get another coat, so why charge extra? I can see if I was just removing it. I told the owner I didn't pay this before and she said they must've forgot to charge me correctly last time. One lady does the worst job at pedicures. I have gotten one from her and my husband. I have been going here for years and just had to put an honest review out there. The inconsistency is awful. If you go, I can only recommend Cindy and Wendy. read more

This place has terrible service and the workers are really rude. I was unaware that I could not leave a tip on my credit card, so they would not let me pay until I had cash for a tip. I didn't have cash on me so I had to drive home and come back because they yelled at me to go get cash. That is not acceptable. Also, they are way overpriced for the quality they provide. I was very surprised to see the reviews on here because it is always great when I've been there, but I guess after many many years of being in business, it's not possible to please every single person. She's had a change of workers but what workplace doesn't.. doesn't bother me. I just know that Tammy is great and I will always support her for as long as I'm in living in the area. I will always recommend to anyone and everyone. Also wanted to share that they aren't super trendy, but they do a wonderful job of cleaning and painting your nails. I wish I can give a negative. I don't think I've ever given such a bad review before. I've been coming here on and off for years and never thought the owner was nice. It would be nice if owner would smile and say hi. But they did a decent job so I came when I was nearby. There are three salons I go to regularly depending on where I am. I do my nails very frequently. Last two times I have been here, they were disasters. Last time, I was in a rush. But to get us to stay, they said they could do it. They finished 30 minutes later which made me late for my movie. This time, worse. Told the lady not to cut my hangnail. She says yes to my face and cuts it. It hurt so bad that I yelled. Then I said, "why did you do that?" She replies, "I didn't understand you." So why say yes when you don't understand?? Then I ask her to put in sparkles after. Yes my fault for not telling them before the top coat but doing gel polish, it doesn't matter. You can simply put it on top. I've added sparkles on my own at home with the gel system and they stay fine. They tell me no and insisted that I could not. So I insisted back they they could. Just a horrible experience. Then when I paid, they charged me $8 more than usual. I questioned the fee and they said it was always the same. Paying $68 for mani pedi when it's normally $60. I really didn't want to leave a tip but what the heck, tip away. That's the last time they will see my money anyways. Buh bye. read more

Poor service and poor quality. Need I say more? I've been here a few times alone or with friends or family and each time it's a disaster. They do a really bad job with nails. I've been to a lot of nail salons so I've seen it all. I've also seen a customer get so angry that she walked out mid way through. My daughter and her friends went in to get pedicures and spent about $130 between 3 of them. After leaving we realized my daughter left her wallet outside the front while waiting for a ride. She called and asked if they would look outside on the bench where she was to look for it and they said no... that it's been too long since she left. She then called the restaurant next door and asked them to do a courtesy check since were 20 minutes away which they said absolutely, and sure enough found it right on the bench. Worst pedicure i have ever gotten. They didn't soak my feet in water, barely trimmed my toes, and was done in about 20 min. Not worth the money what so ever. Very disappointed. I hate to write this review since I have been coming here since high school (15 years). BUT every time I decide to get my nails done here, I have to get them completely redone and fixed somewhere else within a week. My mom used to come here as well. Last time I was in, Tammy (the owner) asked me why my mom is mad at her and doesn't come anymore. Well, after my last experience and spending $85 to get my nails fixed, I understand why. Got my nails done here today. $15 for a French Manicure. It's a no frills shop in a older space. Not much cuticle to remove because my hands are that cuticle free? But I don't think this is a problem to me since some places have caused me pain from cuticle removal. She also offered to massage my arms and hands but I don't care for it. The station I was at only had one fan to dry and no ultraviolet machines in the shop. Just old fashioned fans. The pedi stations seemed difficult to get in and out of. Bottom line, I got what I wanted...a french manicure and nothing more. read more

This is no hoity toity nail salon but it is clean and reasonably priced with friendly service. I've been coming here for my gel pedicure ever since I moved back to the East Bay. Tammy and her staff are professional and do great nails! My gels last maybe a week -2 weeks on my hands depending but my toes will last up to 2 months sometimes which is great since I'm so busy it's really low maintenance. I've been here three times, and I have had a range of 5-star to 2-star experiences. So I'm giving this location 3-stars, for lack of consistency. The first two times I came here, I just got a pedicure. I received a spa pedicure on my first visit, which was a good, standard spa pedicure. As other reviewers have mentioned, they are not super chatty here, which could be good or bad, depending on your preference. Sometimes it could come off as rude and uninterested, but I often prefer a silent, relaxing experience, rather than having small talk with somebody I don't know during my "me time." During my first visit, I noticed that they offered the "pedicure only/color only" option, for about $5 less (doesn't include leg massage, etc.). I usually like to receive pedicures solely for the long-lasting, perfectly painted nails, so I liked this option. I got it on my second visit, which I believe was New Year's Eve last year. The wait wasn't long, and the pedicure lasted for weeks. I returned here for a manicure and pedicure last week ($30, good deal, especially since I'm used to Santa Barbara and LA prices) before a wedding. This is the first manicure I've had since my senior ball in high school! So 8ish years ago... The experience was fine, but I was really disappointed with the results of the painting job. My nails easily got messed up within minutes of leaving the salon (one might have been my fault, but I think the top cover coats they used just aren't as good anymore). I waited 15-20 minutes to let them dry, and I still had problems. Also, I had to remind them to let me pay before they painted my fingernails, which would've messed up my nails even more. Usually it's routine for salons to remind you of this, no? (I know I haven't had a manicure in awhile, but through observation of other salons when I get pedicures, this seems to be the case). I'll likely try a new place in the East Bay next time I am up here and in need of a nail job. read more

I should have listened to my instincts and not gone in... but when I saw the lady use the tools, brushes and stones for my pedicure, rinse them off with water and then put them on her cart to use on the following person, I almost lost it. I pointed that out to the owner, who speaks good English. She said at the end of the day they sterilize everything. I'm am greatly sorry to give this nail salon a one-star rating. Actually... I am not sorry at all. The service in this place is absolutely horrible. Every single lady inside this nail salon ASKS for a tip when you are done. Which is one, unbelievable rude. And two, very unprofessional. Here is a story of my experience; I was going to get my acrylic nails removed and painted regularly. One of the ladies decides to sit me down and take off my acrylic nails using the foil and cotton method. Then she told me she would be back in a minute. After 40 minutes, she still hasn't returned. She actually never returned at all. Some other lady had to remove them but when she went to remove the foil, the cotton was stuck onto my fingernails and it burned uncontrollably. I was going to have them repainted like I said but it took to long to get all the cotton and my acrylics off. After they were removed I decided to keep my nails unpainted. The charge was supposed to be $10 but since I wasn't going to tip they added $5, making my total $15. First of all, they should never ask for tips. Second, they shouldn't have charged me at all! I had my nails done here today and I asked them to take off my old acrylic tips because they had almost grown out. The lady taking them off SPLIT my middle nail on my left hand. It started bleeding and half the nail was hanging off. The lady that did it took my hand and said that it was ok when it obviously wasn't. If you are a high school student coming here for the $20 special, don't bother. They charge $5 to take off your old acrylics and $5 more just for the clear gel coat they put on the end. They use white plastic tips and clear powder over that so if you're looking for more of an opaque white look, go to a different salon. They make you walk around the salon with your bare feet to move from the pedicure station to the nail station. There was no water for their customers and they only pay attention to you once you leave a nice tip. 1/5 stars and will never be coming back again. read more
