Not a great experience. I did my Invisalign with this ortho a couple years ago. The doctors are all very nice but I had so many issues. At first I needed to use these spacers. I couldn't eat anything as it was super uncomfortable. They didn't do a great job setting expectations here. Next, they told me it would take 12 months. Ended up taking 18. Again, poor expectation setting but also just poor service on properly setting the Invisalign. The worst part is that I ended up with a space in between my front two teeth when it was all over and needed a wire to keep it shut. My front two teeth still separate towards the end of the day before I put in my retainer. Overall, bummed that I went with this place. read more

One day in 2015, at 28 years of age, I finally decided to take active steps to straighten my teeth. I'm so glad I did, and that I embarked on this journey with Chamber Street Orthodontics! I finished my Invisalign series just over half a year ago and am now in 'retainer phase'. I can thoroughly appreciate all the hard work and patience that goes into this process. The result? I feel good about the health of my teeth and show them off when I smile (something I avoided in the past). I had looked at a few different places when choosing an orthodontist. Several aspects made going with Chamber Street Orthodontics an easy choice: - The Orthos: Dr. Cooperman and Dr. Mintzberg, and co are super friendly and welcoming. They listen and are very reassuring. Throughout my two year treatment, they were always able to explain what was happening and why. My initial consultation was so different from other places I went to and I was so excited to get started. - The Technology: everything is state of the art and up to date. there is an emphasis on keeping up with the latest changes and technology. I remember one of my initial visits where Dr. Mintzberg explained how new updates to the Invisalign buttons would help in my specific case. So also keeping up to date with the latest versions and change in Invisalign and materials (this satisfies the nerd in me to know about how stuff works!) - The office and technicians: the office is super clean and very friendly, very profession! I was going quite often during my treatment (every six weeks or so) and it felt good to be known by the staff. Making payments was so easy - my whole two year experience (and ongoing) is frictionless. - Online portal: they have a great website (sometimes that's a rare find in healthcare!) it's easy to access and they upload an animated graphic of how the teeth will shift over time (which I looked at everytime I got a new retainer!) plus online appointment reminders. Again with the technology...very important in 2017! - Results: I swear I had a tooth that was trying to turn around completely. Now it's happily back in place facing forward with the rest of its friends. Everything is easier to floss, and my overall dental care has improved (confirmed by my Dentist). Once you join the Invisalign club you become a source of inspiration for others to go for it - and you develop stealthy retainer removal skills. In conclusion, I highly recommend Chamber Street Orthodontics. Pick up the phone and set-up an appointment. They will help you straighten your teeth. I came here on the recommendation of my dentist, Dr. Urtula, at Emagen Dental. (He is also amazing so if you are looking for a dentist, please go see him!) I did a lot of research and shopping around when I first started thinking of getting Invisalign. It's been something that I have been thinking about doing for a long time and I did my homework because I knew it would be a big investment. Most orthodontists I talked to and went in to see had similar pricing structures, so when it came down to it, I just wanted to feel comfortable with and completely trust whoever was working with my teeth. I've seen both Dr. Mintzberg and Dr. Cooperman, but primarily see Dr. Cooperman. Not only are they very professional but they are also very genuine, honest and very friendly people who are easy to talk to. Dr. Cooperman always has a funny story to tell me and I always feel completely comfortable and relaxed when I see him. The office is also beautiful, and since the practice opened a few years ago, all the equipment is very modern and new. Also, as a plus, for those of you with a busy work schedules, they have Saturday appointments. The office is a little out of my way, since I live and work in Midtown, but in the end, I'm really happy that I decided to go with Dr. Cooperman and think it's worth the trips down. I'm now 2.5 months of the way through my Invisalign treatment (halfway done with the top and about 6 more months for the bottom). I will update my review once I'm done with the complete treatment, but so far, I'm extremely satisfied with the level of service they have provided and would strongly recommend this practice to any of my friends! As a general dentist in Manhattan, I have many choices as to where I can refer my patients to for their orthodontic needs -- remember, these are patients that I value and want to please, even if I'm not the one providing the treatment. In turn, my patients also trust me to put them in good hands, especially since for a number of my patients, the level of their needed treatment is beyond my scope. I came to Chambers Street Orthodontics on the recommendation of my dentist, Dr. Urtula at Emagen Dental. My appointment with Dr. Mintzberg was amazing! She is a great listener and took time to answer my dozens of questions thoroughly. I never felt rushed. Dr. Mintzberg fixed two different retainers that I had made elsewhere (and regret, since they were both incorrectly made). I plan to get a spring aligner from Dr. Mintzberg and will update my review after that, too. The office was spotless and modern. Terrible front desk staff! This is a message to the management. I had an appointment on Tuesday, November 29. I was running 10 minutes late and I called their office and told if that's ok and they said it's fine they are waiting for me. I left my work for the appointment and arrived just as I said 10 min late no more than that. The lady who claimed her name is Samantha (not sure if she told me her real name) with short dyed blond hair said I was passed 5 minutes grace period and I cannot be seen today with a very unpleasant tone. I told her I spoke to them over the phone 15 min ago that I'm on my way and they said it's fine and no one told me anything about 5 min period. She immediately interrupted me and started almost shouting. I was planning on getting invisilign and spend several thousands of dollars at this place. Obviously never coming back and telling everyone how they should avoid this place. They have no respect for your time and very rude and unprofessional staff! read more

I was hesitant to get braces as an adult, particularly because I was thinking of breaking up with my boyfriend. I didn't want to go through the whole awkward stage while beginning to date again and thought maybe I should stick it out with him. I saw Dr .Cooperman and choose the clear braces (not even the invisilign) and they looked so great I broke up with my boyfriend that week! The braces look great and the feedback I have gotten so far is that I look super cute in them. read more

Results are ok with this orthodontist but they have way too many patients for the amount of hours they have. They have limited days and take a ton of vacation. If you have to reschedule be prepared to have your child miss school or have their treatment delayed by a month. If you miss or reschedule an appt, it is almost always weeks before you can get in to see them again. Very very inflexible. read more

I had braces when younger and saw Dr. Cooperman for a check-up on my teeth and retainer. The facility is very nice with a cheerful and welcoming staff. I was seen on time. Dr. Cooperman was a great listener and explainer and made me feel very comfortable in the chair. It turns out my retainer and teeth were fine, and I really appreciated his honesty in telling me that I didn't need any further visits. I've had too many doctors in the past seemingly manufacture problems that didn't exist to ensure future visits (and money). He gave me great advice to keep my retainer clean and teeth in good condition and I would definitely go back if I have any future issues. read more

Everyone is mean, ignores your questions, and disorganised. Once a bracket of mine fell off and my dad called and scheduled an appointment. I went and they told me that they didn't need me. Second, I got a lip infection from my braces wires and they did nothing about it. I've had this infection consistently for about a month ish. Fuck them. read more

I needed to have my retainers from another doctor adjusted and I was able to come in for a consultation and the doctor was able to adjust my retainers for a small fee. Overall the experience was quick and effective. I will definitely be back should I need further orthodontic treatment. read more

Terrible Customer Service. Canceled my first appointment last minute and they let me make another one. I had something come up two days before I called 4 different times and no one answered/There was no answering machine. When they finally answered the next day they said they would charge me to make a second appointment with them. They lost a customer(Thousands of dollars) over a ridiculous policy. The lady on the phone kept trying to convince me to just make the appointment and pay the fee, she never apologized for not having answering system on. I told them I would not pay a fee, I tried calling them multiple times and was unable to get through to them. The customer is always right! They do not understand basic customer service at this office. read more

I had an Invisalign consultation here about two months ago. I met with Dr. Romao who was incredibly kind and informative. In fact, everyone in the office seemed pleasant. I also met with the financing consultant who told me the treatment would cost about $300 a month for 12 months. When I received my visit summary via e-mail the numbers didn't seem right. My payments were totaling $495 a month. I finally got a chance to call today and ask if there was some sort of mistake. The woman who called me back was unbelievably rude. She made me feel like I had made some sort of mistake and spoke down to me like a child. She said someone obviously misquoted me. Yes, they did...but to be off by almost $200 ($300 vs $495)...that is a huge misquote. Very disappointed as I really like this place. After my phone call, I wouldn't go back. The woman was completely unprofessional and I wouldn't want to give my business to them. read more

I've been going to Dr. Cooperman and Dr. Mintzberg for 8 months now. As an adult with braces, they understand the esthetic concerns I have. In addition, their office is very accomodating with regards to my scheduling needs and their staff is very pleasant. Normally when it comes to doctors, I look to get patient recommendations before making the initial appointment. I was really looking forward to having my child examined here and I paid for services by participating at our school auction. This was such a waste of time. The entire process of scheduling was a mess and their customer service and front desk staff was pathetic. I was booked for a 3pm appointment and called to say I was running late as I had to get my child an early dismissal from school to make it to their office. I was in the office by 3:15pm. They refused to see my daughter and said I would have to be rescheduled and have to pay a $50 no show fee. This was despite the fact that I had called earlier to tell them I was running late. I rescheduled but later decided I will not return there. A number of other orthodontic practices offer free initial consults and have a more accommodating attitude instead of turning away patients for being under 15 minutes late. I just felt humiliated and shocked to see their indifference to people who they are selling their services to through schools. read more

i highly recommend this office! everyone is super friendly, and answers any questions you have with a smile. the orthodontists here are professional, and have great bedside manner. the office is beautiful, and immaculate- also in a great location conveniently located near the subway train. i love coming for my appointments, and never have to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting room. read more
