I am sad to give this review, but after my bad experience and talking to the owner , it got worse. I do not recommend coming here for the "salon experience" where you expect to feel taken care of and to walk out feeling cute! I booked a hair cut for today with Stephanie, the salon owner. My booking said the hair cut would be $80-150. I arrived at 11:20 when my appointment was at 11:30, and she was finishing her client still. No problem! She got to me on time and did our consultation before washing my hair. The haircut was fine as I expected. As a cosmetology student, I have been following & admiring her work on instagram for about a year. What I noticed was she didn't drape me for a wash, her tools came out of a bag so I can't be sure they were disinfected, and there was hair on my chair from the previous blonde client 5 minutes before me. I was so excited to get the layered shaggy cut of my dreams. Besides cleanliness, the issue came to styling & professionalism. She was rushed because as I would come to find out, her next client was at 12:30. This leaves literally no time between clients to properly clean and disinfect your station and tools...Anyways, I have coarse, dry, textured hair. This was not taken into account when she used high heat to diffuse my hair, very little curl cream product, and no heat protectant. I'm not dumb, I know this is to save time and $ on product. To say the least, my hair came out frizzy, not completely dry, and so poofy I wanted to cry. In fact I did in the parking lot lol. When she asked if I liked it, I was polite and honest and said i didn't like the styling and it was really frizzy and dry. I could sense she was offended. She offered a serum but I knew it wouldn't help my curls form at this point bc they were just blasted with heat to get me out of that chair quickly enough for her next client. I paid $155 plus $23 to tip. I was confused about this because I left with frizzy , not Completely dry hair... so i didn't know why it was at the highest price possible. I called hoping to get this resolved because I truly felt ugly after my cut and disappointed with my experience/ the fact that I spent that much on something that made me feel horrible. However when I called, she dismissed my problems, assured me that the online booking system told me how my hair cuts were with her specifically, but they didn't as you can see in the photos I attached. She kept interrupting when I voiced my concerns so I hung up after wishing her a nice day since she didn't want to hear my concerns or constructive criticism. I do believe she laughed at me over the phone but I'm not sure. I hope not. Please don't come here if you want to have a self care day or if you have wavy or curly hair. Save your money! **Editing this review to update y'all that stephanie left me a very long and condescending voicemail after I left this review. She mentions she doesn't understand the point of me leaving a review and that she doesn't know what i want from her... Any sort of suggestion/ resolution/ apology would have helped loads when I initially called her lol. She also offered to help me in my career and talk about this , but it came across very condescending, especially since I had the worst experience I've ever had at a salon coming here... Also I noticed my hair cut was butchered and done pretty lazily so I will sadly have to pay to get it fixed once my awful fringe grow out. read more

Been searching high and low for years for a stylist who can listen to what I wish my hair to look like and execute it well. Don't get me wrong, I've been to other stylists previously who did good work. But Stephanie is on another level. She is an artist. She took my long hair, and gave it shape without making it so that I'll need an army of stylists to make it look good. It's everyday lived in hair. Love this place! This was my first time here and was recommended by a friend who just got an awesome color and cut by owner Stephanie. The salon is beautiful boho while also relaxed and comfortable. They offer you champagne the minute you walk in and keep it flowing :) My roots were grey and a mess from Box dyes. I have dyed red copper hair and Stephanie fixed my roots made them a beautiful dark red and then glazed the rest of my hair to keep the lighter copper so it created a balayage effect. She also did fringe / bangs and layered my hair. There are not many people that can do fringe well but she did! Highly recommend! read more

First off. I want to say that I loved my experience here and loved the owner. I thought we totally bonded. I also loved my hair color and cut. But in the days and weeks that followed I got the feeling that either A. I'm not attractive enough or B. She didn't like what we did to my hair because as I excitedly waited to see my photos get posted - they never were. Not on Yelp or IG. And it made me really self conscious.
