My new favorite stylist is Bri Oliver (formerly Westley)! I moved to LA a couple years ago from out of state and wasn't able to find a stylist I trusted with my hair for almost two years. I cannot recommend Bri Oliver (formerly Westley) enough! especially for blondes. I was recommended to her by sheer luck over a year ago and she's been my go-to stylist ever since. She does babylights on me, and I don't know how she does it, but my hair grows out so beautifully and it makes it so I only need to get my hair done a couple times a year (with my former stylist I had to go every 2-3 months). Driving home after getting my hair done, a blue convertible Mustang drove along side me and the young lady driving yelled out, "I love your hair". I hadn't done anything with my hair in a few years and all the stylists recommended to me by friends and family were too far away from my home and work so I decided to put my trust in Yelp (as I often do) and I chose Salon 356 - hoping that I could find a stylist here to become my new go to person. I made a call and spoke to Jaya on the phone. I told her I hadn't been to a stylist in years and that I really just wanted a consultation for a cut/trim and perhaps some color. She booked me in really quickly at a time that was convenient for my schedule. When I arrived at Salon 356 I was greeted by Jaime and offered a beverage. She told me that Jaya would be right with me, and she was. I sat in her chair and let her know about my hair specific concerns and that I had no preconceptions about what I wanted done. She engaged me in some conversation that made me feel really at ease at comfortable, not just with her services as a professional, but with her as an individual. I felt as if our conversation during my time in the salon was honest and meant to help us get to know each other as people who were establishing a relationship. It was a very comfortable experience. She made some recommendations for highlights that would brighten my current look and she worked very quickly getting to the job at hand immediately. She was able to complete the process while I sat in her chair and I never had to move to another location. When the highlight process was done she washed and conditioned my hair and then cut it so that it felt perfect. I have really fine, thin hair and I told her I wanted a style that I could just let air dry and then run my fingers through, yet still have it look great. She dried it for me so I could see how it would look, but didn't do anything else (so I know this is how it'll look when I do it at home). It really looked bright and shiny. The length was perfect. It looked healthy, but not as if I'd had it cut ... all my length still seemed to be there. She provided me with information about how often I might need to come back in to keep my highlights looking bright and shiny and my ends looking nice and trim. There was no pressure to buy anything and best of all, this entire process took only an hour and forty minutes! I'm all about getting things done well in as little time as possible. I think I can actually say that I've found a stylist and that I won't be neglecting my hair anymore. I'll be back to see Jaya again. read more

I've been coming to Salon 356 for a little over a year now, I don't cut/color my hair often so I need my styles to grow out gracefully and Patti gives me EXACTLY that! My most recent cut (2 months ago) is STILL receiving compliments as if it were just cut. That visit took my length from mid-back to just above my shoulders, a big change for me, but Patti gave me a style that would be easy to work with once I got home. She even gave me a great recommendation for a blow dryer. My second Target buy in less than a year had just burned out. The blow dryer is wonderful and I didn't feel pressured into the sale, it truly sold itself. The ladies at Salon 356 are warm, welcoming and professional; the salon is always full of laughter when I go in. Its not the closest salon to my house but its well worth the drive. read more

I LOVE this place. I came on a recommendation from a friend, which was spot on. On my stylist, Bri Westly - highly recommended. She's been working on me for years now. I'm not very good with hair, or styling, or keeping up with the trends (awful actually). Bri knows my personality and my style, and she always takes GREAT care of me. She always makes you feel like a priority, and she works quick. Between my cut and color, I'm done in an hour and a half at the most. I love coming in before an event or a trip somewhere because I always walk out with great, healthy hair. Plus she's really easy to talk to and one of the nicest people around. Bonus - if you've had a long day, you can have a glass of wine while you're here to help relax! On the salon itself - it's right off the freeway, so it's really easy if you're coming from north or south. It's really nice inside and always clean. I was referred to Jaime at Salon 356 and not only found the hairdresser willing to travel, I changed hairdressers altogether. I've been going to Jaime for over a year now and love how she cuts and styles my hair every time. I have very thick course hair but it doesn't seem to phase Jaime. She can do wonders! Jaime takes her time and is very patient with me - hey, you try working with my hair. It's not easy. She pays attention to every detail. She is extremely professional and uses only the best products! I love Jaya Loo & would trust nobody else with my hair. Because I have been a stylist myself for 15 years, I am very picky. She does my extensions, my highlights and my cuts. Extensions are super hard to cut and even harder to blend. She is able to make them look so natural no matter how long I want to keep them.
