I first got my hair cut from Moe when I was in college almost 12 years ago! I just moved here from the east coast and was looking for someone to trust with my hair. I found Moe and decided to give her a try based on all the good reviews. Let me tell you: they are warranted! She did a fantastic job on both a perm and a cut and later some highlights. My hair has never looked so good and been so healthy! Also, although she was very willing to do whatever I requested, following her advice resulted in a much better result than would have been the case had she just blindly followed my instructions (turns out I don't know as much about my hair as I thought-whoda thunk it?). Moe is the best stylist I've ever had. She is really precise and thorough, and has an excellent eye for what suits me. I just sit down and let her do her thing, and I have always been pleased. She's a great person, too, and I always look forward to catching up with her at my appointments. I lived in Irvine for 23 years, but moved nearer the beach 4 years ago. I tried a couple of high-end salons nearby, but nobody could match Moe's work. It's far better for me to drive the 15 miles back to Irvine and see her when I need a cut. I told Moe that I don't usually do Yelp reviews (lazy) but I have to do this. If you're anything like me, I've always just gone to whoever my mother suggested. It's not as if she would purposely steer me wrong. But I've grown unsatisfied with her hair stylist. Time to break out of that! Moe always does a great job on my color and cut. I like to mix it up a little, but without drastically changing my color or length, so hairstylists are challenged to be creative within those limitations. My husband also goes to Moe and has for years. I would definitely come here again. Moe is very professional, courteous and a great person. I get a haircut every 2-3 months, but she always remembers how to cut it and what we've talked about in the past. She's at a new location so it's very private and it's her own station. Her cuts last a really long time and my hair has very weird texture and my cowlicks are crazy at the bottom but she manages to minimize them so they look great. I was in need of a color correction specialist and read about Moe on Yelp. I decided to take a chance based on the great reviews and amazing pics of her work. I went to Moe with severely damaged, project hair. It was previously bleached platinum for 10 years, then colored fire engine manic panic style red over and over again for 7 months, then colored dark brown/mocha about 4 times. To say the least, my hair was damaged beyond repair, mushy like cotton candy, multiple colors and I didn't think any stylist would even want to touch it. However Moe and I had a consultation and she decided to carefully and conservatively try to give me a subtle ombre and even out my hair tone. I have now seen Moe twice in about a month and I have to say, this is the best cut and color I have ever had. I went from a nearly black with a reddish hue to a beautiful blonde copper ombre that is about 12 shades lighter. The cut and condition of my hair feels better than before, despite the fact that we have been bleaching it. Not only is Moe an expert in her craft but her customer service is awesome!!! She is a perfectionist and she will not give you anything less than perfection. She goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy while protecting the integrity of your hair.
