If you are looking for something different for breakfast you got to give Moena Cafe a try. Their menu has traditional breakfast items with a Hawaiian twist. Some of my favorites include the short rib loco moco, pineapple sausage, kalua pig, fried rice and the banana chantilly pancakes. Their menu is actually a lot bigger than I thought. The servers are always so nice when we are there. The ambiance is fancy and quiet. Pinks, gold and white colors. Some of the menu items are on the pricey side but where else can you get a loco moco with fried rice or fresh fish for breakfast? We've been here multiple times and will go back again to try more things off of their big menu. I highly recommend it.

This restaurant is adorable! From the interior design to the menu, the attention to detail is amazing! They have lots of options between omelettes to a breakfast plate to pancakes and sweet breakfasts. Their food is well seasoned and I love the choices of sides that they have. Downtown Daybreak is booming and it's exciting to see that a Hawaiian restaurant is thriving in Utah. Will go back!

Guys I'm obsessed with this place! My husband and I went for a morning brunch date and had an amazing experience! Staff took such great care of us and the food was phenomenal! I would highly recommend this place for brunch asap!!

Food was okay, lacks some original flavor, service was basic and okay. Not bad. Ambiance was excellent! Recommend for brunch!

My husband and I love to try new spots and saw this restaurant as one of the newer brunch places, so we decided to stop by. Wait wasn't too bad, it was about 30 minutes. However they don't really have a waiting lobby to sit inside so it would be crowded by the entrance if you came on a rainy day like we did. The hostess sat us comfortably since we had our baby as well. We ordered the loco moco, and I had the kalua pig Benedict. At first I did ask for the fried rice, but the Benedict came with potatoes instead because the waiter mistakenly heard potatoes. Which is okay because those potatoes were so good! They complement the dish probably better than the fried rice would. The kalua pork was delicious and not salty at all as most times I would have kalua pork it would be salty. We had the ham and pineapple sausage on the side which were good too! I rated 4 stars because of the waiters mistake and she did constantly forget some things we asked which we constantly had to remind her. Despite that though she was great and mistakes happen. Keep in mind this is a small cafe so it's ideal for a small group or a couple, not a big group. I would definitely be back!

The space is cute and bright, and the Hawaiian-inspired menu is a fun concept for brunch. The food was decent, but nothing really stood out or wowed me, especially for the wait and the price point. Some dishes felt a little under-seasoned, and service was friendly but a bit slow when it was busy. It's not bad by any means, but it didn't quite live up to the hype. I'd come back if it was convenient, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Solid, just average overall.

Aloha! Welcome to Downtown Daybreak-the first restaurant to open in the area. It's an upscale Hawaiian cafe-but not the typical food you might be expecting. I pictured teriyaki chicken rice bowls, but was pleasantly surprised by chicken cranberry sandwiches and other refreshing delights. The space is clean and modern-very aesthetically appealing. Service was friendly and attentive. They did run out of turkey, which impacted the turkey sandwich, but the chicken substitute was still nice. I look forward to returning and trying different dishes.

This restaurant is lovely. The food is an elevated take on Hawaiian breakfast with touches of Lilikoi, coconut, spam, fried rice, loco moco in some of the dishes. I tried the loco moco, banana chantilly pancake, and the omelet, and the portions are generously sized, which is always a plus. I like that they have seasonal drinks and variety like Italian soda. It's a small spot right by the ballpark, so the crowd fills up quickly.

We were pleasantly surprised with this place and will continually get better as this area is developed! We walked in early on a Tuesday morning and there were a handful of people there. First, this place is stunning. They put the work in and did it right from the tables, chairs, window coverings, lighting and even the restroom. We sat down and were quickly met by the waitress. She was pleasant and willing to help with a happy face. The food as you can tell from the photos was prepared with care and still fairly quick. The avocado toast was plentiful as you can tell it felt like they used about 14 different avocados to fill the plate. The eggs Benedict is something I will personally go back for. It isn't just your regular English muffin from a grocery store. It looked like handmade bread. The eggs were perfectly poached as well. They were runny just as you'd expect. The service during breakfast wasn't overly pushy or in your face but always there. Give this place a try and you will not be disappointed!

Came here on Christmas Eve, it was a long wait because we came at a prime time. They don't take reservations so be prepared to wait to get a table and to eat if you have a big party like our table of 12. It was worth the wait! Our family loves this place! We've been here 3x's and it won't be the last. Our fav is the loco moco, lilikoi mochi pancakes, MC special, Salmon Benedict, our kids love to get the fancy sodas, shakes, lattes, we haven't had anything we don't like lol We'll be back!

We must've went at the wrong time because we had a 40 minute wait. Servers and front end were super nice and cool with us. It was definitely WORTH the wait. It's a small cafe but a good size. Tables and chairs are positioned to where you're not elbowing the other guests enjoying their meals lol. I've been a places like that before. Not cool! The staff are really friendly and seem to love their jobs. Food is a little pricey for those with ihop expectations. BUT again, worth it. The individual pancakes?! HUGE! It can feed two people or a large sized guy (like my husband) lol! I had the sweet bread French toast. Probably my favorite. My son had the steak loco moco and even that meal was a big portion (my 11 yr old can eat, he's a big boy). Overall, I would for sure recommend sitting these guys for breakfast/brunch or whatever floats your boat. Check them out.

A bit of a drive from S. Ogden but worth every bite. This cozy but chic restaurant in Daybreak had delicious and unique offerings like Lilikoi mochi pancakes and braised short rib loco moco. We will drive back to try the other specials! Our server was super friendly as well.

I really wanted to like this place because I live down the street. The presentation of the food had me excited, it looked delicious. I ordered the Short Rib Loco Moco with fried rice. The fried rice was good. The gravy was bland and the meat tasted reheated. My wife had the veggie omelet and loved it. I'll probably give it one more try and order something different.

Beautiful high ceilings and open spaces.

There were not many options even open on a Sunday morning in the area of Day Break where we were located. We almost didn't even go in here because, from the street, this location looked closed. The crisp cold temps kept everyone indoors so I am really glad we double checked the front door, because we would have missed out on a hidden gem of a spot! We got there early enough that there was only one person working, which initially wasn't an issue, but as our visit went on, a line formed, and I even put back, on the shelf, an intended purchase of coffee beans because I wanted to visit more than I wanted to stand in a line. I ordered an iced Americano with sugar free Hazelnut and a splash of half and half to drink and a Pesto Grilled Cheese on Sourdough to eat. I knew it would be an easy food item to take any leftovers on the plane. Although the indoor space had enough seats for this particular morning visit, I am not sure how well it seats everyone on a typical morning rush. The outdoor space would be my preferred seating location but only when it is warmer temps so I definitely plan to come back and stay longer. The vibe is super chill, the flavor of the coffee was strong and rich, nothing bitter or burnt and we all found something we loved to both eat and drink. Dogs are definitely welcome too and I can see this coffee house becoming a neighborhood favorite very quickly! I wish I had stuck it out and waited in line as I'd love to make a batch of cold brew coffee from their beans now that I am back home in California! Maybe next time!

I think their coffee is decent and they have a lot of options for flavored drinks. It's awesome that you can try a full flight with different flavors, but I'm not sure if the value is fantastic for the price, especially for 4 half sized drinks. I might just order 4 drinks and just bring an extra friend to help me finish them. The shop is clean with a fun design, it has a lot of natural elements with out feeling forced and an awesome mural on the wall. The staff is friendly and fast for sending out orders and happy to help with any questions that you have. They do utilize a kiosk or QR code for ordering, which takes some of the personality out of the transaction, but it goes smoothly over all and gives you extra time to choose. I would defintely come back. Lots of options and a fun environment. Great spot to meet up with friends, have a coffee and something to snack on.
