    Chorizo omelette

This restaurant has been around for many many years and there's a reason. Good food and good service. I've been coming here more often the past year and I've never had a bad experience. They feature Scandinavian influenced dishes and good old American dishes. I think I've tried about all of them and haven't been disappointed. The ambiance is modern with servers in white. I recently had the chorizo omelette (definitely not Scandinavian) and it was great.

One of my favorite brunch spots. Private parking lot, beautiful Scandinavian decor, short wait times and healthy delicious brunch options. I love all their unique jams and fish options. Definitely a great spot and a cute greenery patio for warmer weather.

Really good food! Highly recommend Finn's for good food and chill atmosphere. The service was great!

Self-seating. Adorable café. We ordered the Wienerschnitzel & Eggs with side of sourdough (delicious) and the Norwegian Waffles. Only downsides were the waffles were super dry even though the lingonberry sauce was good and the waitress wasn't so nice.

Talk about shrinkflation... my BLT looks like it was made on Melba toast (see pic and look at the plate/strawberry for scale.) The restaurant was out of the drink I wanted and out of the danish I wanted. Its saving grace was the nice waitress.

2nd time here. Lee me start off by saying the staff and wait are the best anywhere, Just the food was mediocre. Breakfast this morning was here at Finn's! I had the Weinerschnitzel and eggs but was just a hamburger steak! The atmosphere and restaurant is very nice, but the food is mediocre to fair. The staff works hard and was on the ball and above par.

Overall a pretty decent place. We went in on a Sunday and there was no wait time! They had a good amount of traditional breakfast options. I got the french toast and it was good (just a classic french toast). The service was really good and fast and the restaurant never got too crowded which was nice. Overall a good place nothing super exciting or great but everything was good!

Finn's is a cute breakfast spot in Sugarhouse. The decor is cute and they have nice outdoor seating. The omelette, toast and hashbrowns are delicious! The coffee is great as well. Would definitely recommend!

Food quality: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Value: 5/5 First time trying Finns Cafe and it was fantastic! We got the Scandinavian Breakfast with Trout and the Norwegian Waffles with chicken. Everything came out perfectly cooked and very quickly. The wait wasn't too bad for a Saturday morning brunch - only about 15 minutes, which was impressive! DO NOT SKIP on the loaf of sourdough bread. It's probably the best sourdough I've ever had. They also sold Jule kake for the holidays and I need to go back and try it out.

Seat yourself when we walked in. Waitress was friendly and personable. We ordered Finn's Green drink - cucumber, kale, spinach, and celery with lemon wedge. Cucumber- forward. Very light and refreshing. Ordered the fried chicken with asparagus and potatoes. Chicken was crunchy and tender inside. Also had the reuben. Good amount of slice pastrami with a heap of sauerkraut and ample swiss cheese. Not overly dressed. Good flavor. Only down side was the sandwich bottom half was wet, which made eating a bit difficult. May have been sauerkraut juice. Finished with marzipan cake. Generous portion of layered, scratch-made vanilla cake with strawberry preserves, wrapped in a luscious layer of marzipan. Topped with whipped cream and sliced strawberry. Delish! Note to management, it's great that the tables are cleared off quickly, but it's just as important that tables get wiped down. The wiping down of all the tables that were cleared while there did not happen.

This place was lovely! 20 min wait inside for a table (On a saturday at 11am) so we sat outside with no wait. It started to rain and they put up some little patio covers. The food was perfect! Soft scrambled eggs, crispy bacon and yummy hash browns. The chicken and waffles were so good too! Different but good. French toast was pretty basic but I really enjoyed it. The coffee was a highlight too, I usually add sugar but didn't need it for this cup! The service was fast and our server is really sweet.

Good food, amazing service & cute space.I visited on a cold winter day (Friday morning, Valentine's day) and the staff were kind enough to bring out fur lining for the chairs outside (so we didn't have to sit on cold metal chairs) while we waited for a table. There was also coffee (free) for those waiting for a table which was a thoughtful touch. Space was welcoming with lots of windows & some cute Norwegian decor along the walls. Lastly, food was yummy. I enjoyed the Norwegian breakfast special with the trout: flaky but would recommend a generous amt of the tartar sauce for flavor. I also loved the sourdough bread that it came with - so buttery! The waffles & chicken were quite good as well; though I wished there was a bit more of the lingenberry sauce. The only thing I didn't love was my chai which was a bit on the milky side (I would have preferred a bit more spice in it) but it was fine. I would definitely come back when I'm in the area.

I've tried their Creme Brulee French Toast, biscuits and gravy, avocado toast, and today I tried their Perfect Omelette, but unfortunately all of them have been quite subpar. Unfortunately today was probably our worst experience. I ordered the Perfect Omelette because I saw it had avocado, but when I got it there was no avocado to be seen! Turns out they had run out but didn't tell me when I ordered, which honestly would have made me change my mind. The omelette tasted pretty bland to me, so I had to use plenty of ketchup and Cholula to help. I also usually like their brunch potatoes, but today they seemed less cooked and not as crispy. My bf enjoyed his Eggs Benedict per usual, but agreed the potatoes were worse than normal. Our server, who in the past has usually been quite attentive, was very slow and not attentive at all. He only checked on us to take our order (after we had been seated for at least 10 minutes), and then gave us our check at the end. A different person seemed to be helping him out by giving us water and serving us our food, which we appreciated, but nobody checked on us to see how we liked our meal. We saw people seated in other sections with different servers get seated after but attended to before us, which was a bit frustrating. We wondered if it was because our spot at the window bar seemed to be far from our server's other tables. We kept feeling like we'd been forgotten! Ambiance is very cute, modern, and IG-worthy. For me the food isn't great, but I'll keep working my way down the menu in an effort to find something I like since I know we'll be back for the Eggs Benedict haha. I think I'll try the pancakes next or I guess give the French toast another shot. If those don't work out, I might resort to just their orange juice (which is great because it's freshly squeezed, but unfortunately also room temperature as a result) and something a la carte. I'm giving them a 3/5 overall because service is usually better and because my bf still thinks they have the best EB in the county. But honestly I've never been somewhere where I've tried so many dishes and not liked any of them enough to order again. I also think their prices are high and keep inching up. $16 for their avocado toast is actually absurd! And I find it surprising that for a brunch place, they don't serve lattes/espresso. Hopefully your experience will be better than mine. I've attached all of the photos I've taken here, and you can almost tell how their quality has shifted. I hope they ultimately get better, not worse!

Well, I must have loved it since I went twice!! First day tried the BLT as well as a chocolate croissant which is to seriously die for, it is a must. Kiaya (lord I hope that is right) was my server and she was excellent. I had a Pellegrino Blood Orange soda along with my lunch and loved the salad dressing as well! The sandwich was with 1/2 salad and 1/2 potatoes, yum yum. The second time, I had Connor (he will remember Sheldon) who served me. He was awesome. I tried out a blueberry mimosa, an iced mocha and a water (I had been walking a lot and was tired and thirsty, don't judge). Then I just wanted that dang BLT again! I also ordered another almond chocolate croissant (I know, I know, should have tried something else). Well I did get a cookie too! My lunch was taking a little long, so they also brought out a couple of pastry items to try as well, so yum yum! The Chocolate Macaroon was also so wonderful and I cannot say enough about this quaint spot. It did fill up during lunch on the Thursday, so get there early or late! PROS: Main street, easy access from transportation/offices Great selection of homemade pastries Nice choices for drinks (obviously, I tried a few) Super quaint bistro style inside Outside seating under shade and a tree Attentive and exceptional employees (CONNOR) CONS: Parking may be an issue, although some on-street parking available DON'T THINK, JUST GO! Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and exactly the right amount of present (if you know what I mean). I enjoyed the maitake on rice with cashew cream and it was delicious. The salty mushrooms were mellowed by the chewy rice. The cashew cream gave a nice variation in texture. I didn't leave a morsel behind. The harissa carrots were nice as well. They are cooked soft and have a moderate spice level that is again contrasted by the mild labneh and tahini base. I had to save the rolls with herb better for last. Oh. My. God. These were divine. I'm a sucker for bread of any kind but these are what the Hawaiian dinner rolls wish they could be. They are perfectly pillowy and the herb butter just elevates them. Do not miss these for more "sophisticated" fare. If I lived here, I would definitely come back. Everything was considered and well-executed. Bravo

I saw a comment about the restaurant being dark, but the lighting seems great. Anything much brighter would probably upset my eyes, especially early in the morning (as that's when we typically go). Someone also mentioned the wait is long. The restaurant isn't huge, and if you go at a time when everyone else is also going, usually any time after 9, then of course it'll be busy.
