We love it here! Fabulous food, even better Bushwackers (soooo many alcohol toppers to choose from!) We always stop here when we are in Foley.

When I am in GS, I always make time for Moe's. Order when you walk in and they deliver to your table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Or sit at the bar, which always has a lively mix of friendly locals, bartenders and vacationers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pork rinds and white sauce are addictively delicious! And they do crackle when you get them. I have been here several times and all of the food has been really good! My last visit, we talked to the chef. You can feel his passion. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also had live music, which was fun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The drinks never disappoint. Get a margarita, fresh squeezed. Or a bushwhacker. All yummy!

Mac and chess dry and crusty

First time ordering my dad likes it so thought I'd have him bring me something! Husband got a turkey sandwich! Not to bad chicken sandwich was good a lot of meat ! Very messy ! Potato salad was dry but not the worst ! Mac and cheese I think I got the bottle of the barrel very dry and hard ! Would probably try again and eat there rather than take out ! My family started a bbq 53 years ago and all met family has worked there so like to try all bbq places!

BBQ ribs were a little tough on the bone, but flavorful. Dill pickle potato salad was awesome. House potato chips were crunchy, flavorful, and plentiful. Rachael took my order and sold me a gift card. She was friendly, helpful, and a delightful conversationalist.

Chicken not served hot. Tasteless. Sausage ok also not hot. Potatoe salad good. Beans good. But not worth $20. To make up for cold meat received a free blueberry cobbler it was great. Will not return again. Service minimal since you order at counter then pick up yourself. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance just like every place, old stuff hanging up & heavy chairs at wood tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Pulled pork, collard greens, corn bread, potato salad

Update-- we actually did eat here again the day I did the review. Still delicious! And might go back today for wings because they were so good the first time but they forgot to add the buffalo sauce. Ha! We still would like to have them with boogaloo sauce. The "marinaded slaw" was good - lightly sweet & mild vinegar - but very dry. I would request they stir it before serving so it has some moisture next time. The sample I tasted before ordering had a touch of moisture so I know that's all that it needed was a good stirring. I've never had Slaw that way but I really enjoyed it. i can't believe I didn't review this last week. I thought I had. The pulled BBQ pork is delicious. You get twice the meat in the platter over the sandwich selection. The collard greens were good but heavy / dense. There's only one style sauce, but it was good. Not too sweet, not too vinegary. Cornbread was good but I had hoped for a larger piece. I would like to go here again. :)

Smoked Grilled Burger Saturdays At Moes...Looks Better Than The Pics
    Tonya A.

The folks behind the bar are great. Location is awesome. They're right by the farmers market and Wolf Bay of Co Rd 20...the Co stands for County...not Country. My adopted daughter called it country road one day by mistake...I don't let her live it down. It's a great place to visit and eat. But let me tell you...GO EARLY on Saturdays for their specialty.... It's fast becoming a tradition for some folks to gather on Saturdays for the Grilled Smoked Burger. And you know how the pictures advertised NEVER EVER look like what you get??? Kinda like dating these days with all the filter apps....you singles know what I'm talking about. And I'm including myself too...I digress...the most excitement for me in my love-life is food...and there's no filter needed for Moe's Burger on Saturdays. Check out my picture from just this past Saturday. GO EARLY or be prepared to stand in line...you can thank me now or later. It's up to you

First time there and the service was quick and efficient. At the same time I was not overwhelmed by the food. Chips used in the nachos were different and while not bad they were not great nor what I expected. The pulled pork and slaw were kidding mmmmmand I

BEST!!!! Bbq ever!!!!!…read more Chris, the general manager is super awesome came and chatted with us for a little bit! We've been back multiple times!

Food: I'm actually gonna rate each item because this is my Yelp account and I do what I want!…read moreColeslaw - 6/10: It was missing something, like some heat or like raisins (kidding, kidding...). It wasn't bad just not the best I've had. Brisket Sandwich - 8/10: Big PLUS for offering a "lean" version! Nice. The only thing I would say is that the sauce was a little soupy. I prefer a thick, tangy BBQ sauce... but that's just me. Overall a great cut of beef! Mac n Cheese balls - 10/10: I've had cheese balls before, but these were friggin' awesome. They put brisket in with them! The outer layer was perfectly crisp, delicious Mac n cheese inside... I probably should not have eaten all 4 but I couldn't stop! Dang those were good. Cheesy Cornbread - 10+/10: It goes KFC biscuits, Red Lobster biscuits and then blowing both of those out of the water are these bad boys! Let's just say I'm glad they only gave me two. If I would have known how awesome those were, I probably would have ONLY gotten a meal of only biscuits! The cornbread wasn't too sweet, the edges were crispy and chewy, cheese in the middle... dude... I was done after those. Epic. Service: Good service, no complaints. But I saw another post on here about the "you order at the front but then they bring food to you" feel. So you feel obligated to give a tip...? But they didn't take your order at your table. It's just one of those places that is in between a fast food and formal service. Regardless, they were still nice and professional. Shout out to Eric for suggesting the Mac n Cheese balls! What an epic name! Atmosphere: It's like a cabin-ish feel inside, kind of like other BBQ places. It would be really funny if there was a BBQ place that had like, I dunno, an Anime theme or something...? I mean, that's a bit off the wall, but I'm just Sayin (see what I did there?) that all BBQ joints have pretty much the same feel. Cozy enough and clean so that's a plus! Price: Middle of the road. Solid meal will run you 25$ plus tip. But obviously it gets pricy if you get different cuts or more meat. Still even those prices weren't horrible. Oh and also CRUSHED ICE!!! Overall: Just three words for this one. "I'll be back," A.Schwarenegger

On a recent boys day out I took a few of my Buds to check out this new addition for Arizona BBQ,…read moreyeah you read right, Arizona. Colt Grill BBQ & Spirits just opened in downtown Foley, AL, and I was curious to see how their smoked meats and Western vibe would fit in with our Southern scene. This place is a big deal for Foley, it's set up in the historic Foley Bakery building, a 100-year-old landmark that's been closed since 2007. The building, at the corner of North Alston Street and West Laurel Avenue, got a major facelift over the past year, and now it's home to this BBQ joint downstairs, with apartments and an office upstairs. Colt Grill started in Arizona, with four locations there, Prescott, Prescott Valley, Cottonwood, and Village of Oak Creek. Foley's their first venture outside Arizona, and they picked it because they loved the South's charm and Foley's small-town feel. Walking in, the place feels cozy yet upscale for a BBQ spot. The exposed brick walls and custom furniture, sourced from the owner's family of furniture builders, give it a warm, authentic vibe. Brenda Marie Clouston, the owner, has a background in interior design, and it shows. The setup is pretty unique for the area: you order at the counter, but there's a full-service bar where bartenders bring your food if you sit there. My buds and I grabbed a table, but the bar looked tempting with its lineup of bourbons and signature cocktails like the Foley Bushwacker and Colt Margarita but only one pal took advantage of the spirits. And they have happy hour :-) The menu's got all the BBQ classics, but it's not just ribs and brisket. They smoke nearly everything pork, chicken, turkey, even their mac-n-cheese over oak hardwoods. I went for the sampler platter to try a bit of everything that included baby back ribs with campfire sauce, pulled pork with Kansas City sauce, brisket, smoked turkey, and a turkey brat sausage. The meats were tender and packed with smoky flavor, and the variety of sauces let me mix it up. Classic sliced white bread was served with mine but we tried the jalapeño cornbread, which was a standout, spicy but not overwhelming. The guys got a brisket plate and a pulled pork sandwich. They liked it but I thought the brisket could have been a little moist and tender. Overall the food was good and I will return. Service was friendly, though it got a bit hectic during the lunch rush. The staff was hustling, and you could tell they're still finding their rhythm since opening in early this yesr. I liked that they give back to the community every "Cowboy Cookie" sold donates a portion to Secret Meals for Hungry Kids, a local charity. The atmosphere was lively and the Western decor made it feel like a little piece of Arizona in Alabama. Bottom line: Colt Grill's a great addition to Foley. It's not just another BBQ joint, it's got heart, history, and some seriously good food. My buds and I are already planning our next visit. If you're in the area, check it out and come hungry!
