    Taco salad with chicken
    La H.

I went to this restaurant about two weeks ago, and forgot to write the review. I hope my memory serves me well right now. We went there for lunch one afternoon. Upon entering, we received the big "Welcome to Moe's" greeting. The menu is plastered on the wall to the right just as you walk in. I decided to get a taco salad in one of those edible shells. My husband ordered some type of burrito or quesadilla. I wish I could remember the names of those items. Once the order is placed, a server asked what other ingredients we wanted in our order. They have a vast amount of food items to choose from to add into your order. I remember that my order was very good. However, the next time I go, I will order my food to go in a regular bowl instead of the edible one. I didn't care for the edible bowl much. Good food, and good service all the way around.

The food is always great, the service "ok", and the wait time acceptable. The reason why I'm posting this review is because.....can someone please tell me why are the opening of Moes' trashcans so small and their bowls/trash way BIGGER??? What's the purpose of having a trash can if you're not able to just dump your trash in?

First of all they're slow and I'd like to say lazy. Went Sunday night around 7pm avd the line moved really slowly. When we finally get the food everything seemed to be running smoothly. We decideed to dine in bc we had little kids and tvvey needed to eat. The workers turned off the music (mind you there were others dining in also. The door said they were closing at 9. It wasn't even 8pm. Then some guy with glasses started turning lights off. He flicked them on once but turned a few off and left them off. I had to ask the were they planning to turn the lights back on in the diining room so that we could fInish eating. Only after the guy in the glasses did t turn them on, another girl had to. I find thIs practice unprofession and lazy. Clearly they were trying to deter people from coming in and the ones in the store from staying long. If you close at 9 then by business should continue as usual until at least a quarter til. They can get off as early as they'd like bc I'll be going back to chipotle.

I decided I wanted to try a new place and recognized some of my fellow Elites in the glowing reviews, which sealed the deal. The ordering process online was incredibly smooth. The restaurant was pretty busy when we picked up but just as easy as ordering was. The menu is extensive and detailed, with traditional Mexican dishes and some twists. We kept it really simple, opting for chicken + steak tacos, a chicken tostada, guac and the Pollo loco. The guac was chunky and portioned well, but could have used just a tadddd more salt. There were 3 different sauces included and they kicked it back up a notch. The tostada was delicioussss! The tortilla and lettuce provided the perfect crunch with the flavorful chicken - delicious. My bf enjoyed the tacos, maybe not life-changing, but they were enjoyed. I didn't eat the pollo loco until the next day and it was tasty. Super basic dish, no frills, but for whatever reason, the idea of chicken, cheese and rice appealed to me when I was ordering, lol. A solid experience over all, I will definitely be going back!

There's booths and tables and I like that the tables aren't too close to each other. There's cute decor, just a nice vibe overall. It wasn't too busy for a Friday evening which was nice since we had our kids with us. The waiter was pleasant and checked on us occasionally, without being over bearing. We started with a trio of dips with chips- guacamole, queso, and salsa instead of the bean dip. All of them were good with the queso being so-so for me. The salsa is nice and smoky. One kid had a kids meal with two shredded beef tacos and fries. I'm glad they served the onions and cilantro on the side for him. Hubby has the queso birria plate and raved about how good it was. I enjoyed by pollo asado plate. I only wish they had a salsa bar with the pickled veggies, etc. The menu is extensive so I can't wait to try something else. Prices are a little higher than other Mexican places, but they make a lot of homemade items and you can tell the difference.

The location is easily missed even when you're looking for it. Plenty of seating. The bathroom was clean. The staff were nice and attentive. The chicken and steak fajita was okay, kind of bland. The chicken quesadilla had much more flavor. The salsa that did come on the side plate was amazing, fiery and Smokey. The prices seemed very reasonable, but sadly it just didn't hit for the flavor for me.

He got the Burger with fries and I got the chicken sandwich with fries. I also got the loaded baked potato soup as an appetizer and my son chose the side salad. I had no complaints with soup at all. It was really good. The appetizers came out pretty quickly. As for the sandwiches, we waited well over 30 minutes. Im not sure the order was even put in. People that came after us had gotten their food already. She finally came over and stated that the food should be coming out shortly. We literally only had sandwiches and fries. My son enjoyed his burger, but I didnt care for the chicken sandwich. It tasted weird and rubbery. I ended up not eating my food along with the fries. I told her my complaint and said I'll take the check. I could tell she really wanted me to speak to the manager, but I didnt. She came back saying that the manager had taken a discount off. When I looked at my check, it was only $2.20 taken off. I didn't want the meal compted, but they could have asked to replace the meal for something else since I didnt eat the food. The water and juice glasses were dirty. I had to ask for a to go cup, but she insisted she would bring me a better cleaned cup. I do want to add that our food came out with all the people who came in after us.
