    Ground beef quesadilla
    Jake B.

The food was amazing!!! Awesome "tex Mex" I got the California burrito with chix and steak mixed, a cheese dip and my wife got a ground beef quesadilla. The salsa here is really awesome and extremely flavorful! We took our food Togo so we didn't get to experience the service. Wasn't too long of a wait to be greeted restaurant seemed small and "homey" we will definitely be back to try other options as the salsa was just soo good compared to other options in the are perfect level of spice and just extremely flavorful.

Kid's cheeseburger and fries - shredded cheese instead of yellow American - 2019

I was so disappointed in my last experience that I had marked them off my list. Because they are the only spot I've found that does carnitas in cubes / chunks - versus shredded - I ventured back in. I made sure to call beforehand - instead of trusting the online hours. Customer Service - When I entered the establishment, I greeted the hostess versus her greeting me and when I glanced behind me and saw a server, I greeted her too. Oddly enough, once I said, 'Hello, how are you doing tonight?' both employment tossed beautiful smiles my way and seemed cheerful. I'm 100% an introvert, so even though I've learned to act extroverted for work, I completely understand quiet people. I also have resting _ face unless I'm smiling. So I've learned to remember to smile at people lest I get hit with a 'are you ok?' or 'Smile! It can't be that bad!' Lol. I'm not sure if it's a cultural thing or a youth / generation thing. I was raised believing that you say hello when you enter a room - except when it comes to a business - then, the host / hostess initiates the welcome / greeting. I've noticed that nowadays, in business settings, young people very rarely greet guests first. I've noticed that Latino people rarely greet ME first. Anyway. No stars deducted for this. Just a note for others in case the ladies come off unfriendly. I don't think they are - it appears to becoming the norm. Food I ordered the regular carnitas (not the ones with green chile sauce), substituted beans, rice, guacamole, et al - for french fries) and regular carnitas (not the green chile sauce version) with the regular accompaniments (beans, rice, pico, guac, etc). My carnitas portion was tiny and 50 - 60% of the tiny portion was tough to the point of being inedible. They also gave me a laughably small portion of overcooked French fries. See photos. The dinner I bought for my brother wasn't great either. I'd raved to him about the carnitas. He said his were also tough and chewy. I was so bummed that his first experience was a bad one because we're always trying to turn one another on to new spots - so if I offer up a dud, he never lets me hear the end about it. Lol. Price / Value It wasn't a great value because the carnitas were sparse and overcooked. I can't even eat a lot in one sitting and the amount of French fries they gave me would have angered someone with a regular sized stomach. Lol. Both meals = $30 and I added a $3 tip - despite my lack of greeting / friendliness until I greeted and engaged them because I understand that most servers rely on their tips. Overall Overall, was not a good visit. Will be on lookout for other restaurants that have these types of carnitas and will check back with these folks next year.

    Paella Mexicana

Like most places, they start you with chips and dip. Chips were warm and this SALSA....greatness! Best I've had in a while. I usually go to La Parilla for my Mexican fix, but no more. I've passed this restaurant so many times and never considered going. I found the deal on Scoutmob and will definitely be a regular!! Friendly service and my food came pretty quickly. The salsa was so good that I out my entree to the side to finish. I ordered the Paella Mexicana: Chicken, steak, shrimp, scallops, onions and tomatoes over a bed of rice and covered with cheese. Great portion. Full of flavor, you can taste each ingredient and they all go well together. Also comes with a side of lettuce, pico and guacamole. I love the guacamole, not sure what they do differently but it has an amazingly fantastic taste. They also have a Tuesday and Saturday margarita special, I'll definitely be partaking next time. I'll be leaving the restaurant stuffed and fully satisfied. I also will be warming up the rest of my paella for dinner...didn't even finish half of it.

By far the best Mexican food I've had in Atlanta and surrounding areas. We enjoyed a mechilada, queso dip with jalapeños, carne asada tacos, guacamole chunks, and a California burrito. All the food was fresh and delicious. The service was top notch! We will definitely be back!

It's great Mexican food and worth the drive to Marietta for sure! I came here from Atlanta I live in because a friend recommended it, it was a bit hard to find at first and easy to miss if you aren't paying attention since it's in the corner of a shopping plaza. Food tasted great and came out quickly. Price wise everything is around the same price you would find with similar Mexican restaurant except for the margaritas are only $3 and they are very strong. Staff is super nice and it wasn't busy at all on the Tuesday around 4pm when I came in. It's definitely a hide gem in the area since there are many competitors all around with in 2 miles of it. I definitely will be coming back for the food and the margaritas.

    Ceviche!!! It was sooooo good!

Virgin Miami Vice - It was really good, but it was blended a little thick, so it was hard to drink through the straw. I was also unaware it came topped with whipped cream. That's just a personal preference, and it's an easy fix to remove. Smoked Árbol Ribs - These were the star of the meal for me, which was surprising because when I think Mexican food, ribs aren't the first thing that come to mind. The árbol chili glaze sauce was excellent and really made the dish. Family Platter #2 (Grilled Quail, Beef Fajita, Grilled Chicken & Diablo Shrimp) We had some issues with the platter, but the manager addressed everything without us even having to ask. Because of the mix-up, we ended up getting lamb chops as well, which was a nice surprise. And for the record, this time I didn't request a manager or make a complaint! That level of customer service alone would make me come back. This platter is definitely enough food to feed 3-4 people and is a great option if you're dining with a group.

It's just a normal girls' lunch to catch up and this place has good ambiance for a small get together. We got a nice booth by the window, love the high back of the booth, which allows me to be more relaxed =) We started with the Fuego Dip, which my friend highly recommends and she was spot on. The Fuego dips includes, steak, shrimp, chicken, and chorizo; serve along side pico and tortillas. The proteins were all cooked perfectly!! The cheese has amazing flavor from all the proteins, the pico was extremely fresh, the hot tortilla is a nice touch. Wish there were more tortillas though, but the chips they gave right when you sat down works too. I ordered the Steak Fajitas, I haven't had fajitas in a while and really wanted the sizzle. When the entree arrived, it smelled so amazing and I couldn't wait to dig into it. I'm not really sure if they make their own flour tortillas, but it was fresh and soft and warmed and absolutely delicious. The bed of peppers and onions on the bottom of the steak is nicely cooked and caramelized, the steak is super tender and flavorful. There were some queso left from our appetizer and I added some into my steak fajita which elevated it to another level!! Absolutely love the food and service is on point. Will definitely be back to try something else and for more of that Fuego Dip with that warmed tortilla.

The last several times have not been good and likely our last visit. We bring our neighborhood out for special occasions often. Including here many times. I called on Wednesday and spoke to two very nice females and scheduled a party for 10-15 people for Sunday night. She asked me to call back on Sunday once I had a firm number of people. Super nice. Called at 2:30pm on Sunday and let ring for 5 minutes. No answer. No problem. Thought we'd be fine. We arrive 15 minutes early to make sure everything was fine and our requested table was taken and they acted like I did something wrong and had no reservation. THE PLACE WAS DEAD. It still took thirty minutes to find a solution and seat us. My fiancé ordered drinks while we waited with ZERO PEOPLE AT THE BAR.....15 minutes to get drinks. Sat us in this back cubby spot. Awful. No one could move. Table was massive and super wobbly. No apologies. It took us BEGGING after AN HOUR to order our food. BEGGING. The food finally arrived and not one of us received a hot meal. It was all terrible. Our personal meals were horrendous. Carne asade and tapaquinia. Both TERRIBLE and the meat was like jerky. Nothing like we've had in the past there. The server (or anyone) looked incredibly annoyed if we asked for utensils, straws, napkins. You know, essentially what you would need to eat. I worked in service for years. I would have been thrilled if on a weekend night that was DEAD I got a party. Nope. Everyone just seemed annoyed. I've never seen this manager before but he just seemed to hate his job. Not once did he apologize. Not once did he try to make anything right. We all ate our cold orders and I don't think anyone sent food back. I'm sad for this place. I guess we will have to find something else.

That's when our server - McLovin' - appeared. Not rushed, not flustered, but steady. Assured. A man who knows where the ranch jalapeno dip was and wasn't afraid to use that power. He placed our waters down gently but with purpose. Cold. Clear. Limitless. From that moment on, we trusted him... with everything. The King's Memorial combos arrived like a vow. Enchiladas layered in sauce, rich and unapologetic, as if they had been simmering while thinking about us specifically. Each bite wrapped itself around my expectations and whispered, "You're not leaving the same." My wife and I locked eyes across the table -- the look married people give each other when something very right is happening, and there's no need to narrate it. Then came the burrito. My son's "Big As Yo Face" steak burrito didn't just arrive -- it claimed territory. Massive. Confident. Wrapped tight like it knew its own worth. McLovin' presented it without fear, without commentary, because when something is that powerful, words only get in the way. Throughout the meal, McLovin' moved like a man guided by instinct alone. Our waters refilled before thirst could even form the thought. Chips refilled at the precise moment emotional closure was achieved. He never hovered. He never vanished. He existed in that rare, perfect space between presence and mystery. We didn't order the always-delicious Margaritas. They weren't required. Ours was a sober, fully conscious awakening. When the meal ended, we sat there for a moment. Quiet. Changed. Hydrated. And satisfied beyond reason. We paid the bill reluctantly, knowing some experiences can't be relived -- only honored by returning. Chuy's served food. McLovin' served destiny. We will be back.

Right when we walked in, the staff complained to us that we hadn't called ahead to have a "smaller, special menu" crafted for a large party. To make matters worse, they loudly announced to the whole table right off rip that they wouldn't split checks separately--only an even split. It felt incredibly rude, lazy, and unwelcoming. The irony is that the large group size wasn't even an issue; we staggered our arrivals and the patio was completely empty. The kicker- my brother in law ended up paying the whole tab at the end anyways! so all of that initial laziness & nastiness for NOTHING! Throughout the night, the service felt incredibly rushed and stressed. While we were still eating our appetizers, the busser was aggressively trying to clear our plates because the mains were coming. Our server was very short with us the entire time, which was confusing because the restaurant didn't even have a stressful vibe. She recommended a main dish to me that I really didn't care for, though I will say the salsa was unique and probably the best part of the meal. Shoutout to the one staff member who was actually friendly, but overall, this is not the kind of place where you leave feeling like you had a nice restaurant experience- at least I personally didn't.. Too bad we didn't just go to C&S next door which we always love. It would've made any "master chef" proud. The salsas deserve their own mention. I honestly can't say enough about them. The little reddish salsa was my favorite, but the warm salsa was also excellent--full of flavor and a nice twist compared to the usual cold options.
