For what it is, this Moe's deserves five stars. When I arrived, the staff was super friendly. I was greeted immediately. Upon entering I also noticed that the restaurant was quite clean. I ordered a burrito bowl. Unlike Chipotle, you can add anything you want without being charged for adding things like gauc or queso. They also had a ton of options to top off bowl. For example, they had cilantro which I had them generously apply. My ridiculously cute daughter was my lunch date. Being that I had a stroller to push, an employee carried my food to the table for me without me asking. They also moved a chair out to make room for the stroller. The bowl was satisfying and full of flavor. I was even able to add whatever salsa I wanted from the salsa bar. Oh, and there were complimentary chips as well. Moe's is standard fast casual Mexican but what sets it apart is the employees are fast and friendly, and they have a sauce bar which includes some actual habernero hot sauce that is HOT. Most fast casual places advertise "hot" sauce but it's really just medium and I resort to adding my own hot sauce at home. read more

As seniors in our 70s, my wife and I only patronize restaurants that offer contactless curbside pickup during the COVID pandemic. Typically we order online or call our order in and provide credit card details over the phone. Then we call again once we're outside the restaurant with our trunk open. Here, we had to have the cashier come out to physically take our credit card, which is more contact than we are comfortable with. But recently we've been told company policy forbids that and it's necessary to bring the credit card inside ourselves to pick up our order. We're not willing to do that, so we won't be back until well after the pandemic is considered over. We switched to Dos Toros across the street, but they resist contactless delivery (after accommodating us once) as well. read more

Ordered a bowl and the rice was rock solid. Second time trying Moe's and it was awful. Taco Bell can do better and it's cheaper because you're not spending $10 for dusty crusty flavorless rice. Asked for queso in the bowl and there was none. Salsa was also filled less than half way. For a this bouje town I expected better. read more

My girlfriend and I went to Moe's in Florham Park today at lunchtime. I waited in line while my girlfriend got us a table. There were two workers behind the counter, and only two during the duration of our stay around 12:15-12:45 PM. When the one employee was ready to take my order, she was still chewing on food she was apparently having for lunch. When paying for my order, my girlfriend asked her for a paper towel or rag to clean off the table as it was filthy. The woman pointed to the napkin area. My girlfriend then went with napkins to the bathroom since we needed to wet it to clean it. She advised me that the ladies room was a filthy disgrace. We did not receive any forks and knives, so my girlfriend asked and was told there are no knives. When my girlfriend expressed this is a problem for our two meals, the woman said you do not need a knife to eat your food; a fork and spoon is sufficient. She then proceeded to tell her that she is welcome to leave if she's unhappy. I happened to visit the men's room and it was incredibly filthy with feces all over the place. I am completely disappointed in my visit with Moe's and will also be contacting the Florham Park Board of Health on this matter. read more

Joey Bag of Donuts? Billy Baru? Earmuffs? Julia Gulia? Ya need to learn half a new language just to order at Moe's southwest grill. That "Joey" is a big burrito with your choice of meat and any of the no-extra-charge ingredients. Billy is nachos, earmuffs is a burrito bowl, and Julia is a stack, basically a tostada with a second shell on top. We visited in the first week and service was certainly friendly (shouts of "welcome to Moe's"), but confused and slow. Customizing your choice is nice, all the usual choices like salsas, fresh chopped jalapeños and much more, but took forever. Salsa bar rocks!! Two mild red, one mild green, one hot red and one goofy pineapple-cucumber disaster. No other fast-casual mex chain has a salsa bar, it's a real selling point here. Those free chips were specially salty, could have eaten a few more, and definitely made in house, you can watch them hit the fryer. The boss was quite happy with the queso sauce on her nachos, oops sorry, I mean her Billy Baru. :) Vegetarian rating: 4 stars, every variation can be ordered veg, with or without tofu for a protein boost. And yes the veg variations get their own names, as they should. They make a big deal of the freestyle coke machine, mix any combo you can stand lol. Me, I had cold green tea, not bad. Dining room has a couple dozen tables. Plenty of parking in back. Just barely a three star place, but we ate for almost free thanks to a BOGO coupon, and I seriously liked that salsa bar. read more

I hate having to give one star but this was a horrible experience. Saturday afternoon I was trying the Florham park location for the first time. We weren't greeted at all at the counter and when we inquired about certain bowls, there was no knowledge and we were basically told to create our own bowl. She was extremely disinterested couldn't understand a word she was saying because she mumbled under her breath and seemed agitated that she had to help us. The food was not prepared and once home we were eating uncooked rice. The rice was hard and crunchy in our bowl. So between a slow service, the attitude, the lack of preparation, and the taste of our uncooked food I would've given this a zero star if I could have. The lack of people wanting to work and help the public today shows at this location. Never again read more

They're already sitting on my downside... they forgot my order and queso for others... sigh. Slow and suffering the new business opening blues, they at least gave our pickup guy a drink while he waited an extra 20 min for the food to be ready for our team. The bowls and the burritos were big, just like Qdoba or Chipotle, and people did seem to enjoy their meals. At least they gave a bag of chips that was split out (and they didn't give nearly enough salsa to use). Until they get my order the next time, I suppose, then I will update this review. They are newly opened - which is sometimes a scary proposition - but got it right on every front during both of our visits. They have flooded the market with "Buy One, Get One " coupons and had a huge staff working both nights we ate there. Menu is similar to Baja Fresh - Qdoba - Chipotle but Moe's has more free toppings to add as your food is being created in front of you. Everything looked and tasted fresh . Chips and salsa are included with every entree. I loved the tomatillo and cucumber-pineapple salsas but the red salsas didn't have a homemade flavor to me . They have the "Soda on Steroids" machine (100+ choices). Nice to have a diet vanilla root beer with my meal! Place is very clean. Staff is friendly, efficient and knowledgable . Pleasant and professional employees serving up good food in generous portion sizes. Salsa bar is always great, and they are constantly refilling it as needed. Parking spots are limited during the lunch rush, but the line inside the restaurant moves very efficiently. Ordering a Homewrecker w/ "chicken, white rice, black beans, everything that it comes with" from this location, I have never received a burrito that matches the ingredients listed on the menu. Good place to go to for a burrito. Every dish is served with homemade tortilla chips. They give you six options for salsa and some are really spicy so be careful. They make the food quick so if you are in a hurry during a lunch break you will get your food very quick. They are definitely quicker than the local Chipolte that's for sure. read more

I did like this Moes....small and kind of hard to find but I was the first to eat there this past Sunday and I returned Tuesday for lunch. The portions were big and I had to use a fork to finish my soft taco. I got the chicken with cheese, guac, sour cream, lettuce, tomaotes, salsa.....really good and the chips were generous. You may have noticed a preponderance of two-star reviews from me. But, if the shoe fits.... I wanted to like this place...as I LOVE Mexican food...but my two experiences to date have been total disasters. Apathetic workers...lukewarm food...and the burritos have both fallen apart each time I've eaten there. Today, I went at what I presumed would be an "off-time", 2:30 PM. The managers were all sitting in a booth joking with and ogling a pretty young coworker's "maracas", and kind of yelled at the girl behind the counter to take my order. She seemed miserable, the food looked "semi" fresh at best...just no service with a smile, and again, mediocre food. I guess there's a reason why Qdoba (conveniently located in the mall across Columbia Tpke.) is a bit more expensive. Two and I'm done. Learn how to roll a burrito so it stays together, Amigos! "Welcome to Moe's" was the first thing you hear when you walk through the door! It's cute and friendly. The menu has a lot to offer. Everything was fresh and nicely presented. Their options for free toppings is unmatched at any other quick serve Mexican restaurant. Welcome to Moe's! That is how you are greeted when you enter. I have only gone for lunch and they are pretty fast with taking your order. You cant go wrong on with a burrito or burrito bowl, which is 5.99 on Moe Monday's. I really enjoy the salsa bar which has different flavors for all tastebuds. Customer service is fantastic! I have been asked by the GM, Jesus, how my order turned out and if he can get you anything else like chips or napkins--definitely not typical in any of these type of joints. read more

Got catering for 25 delivered last week. The delivery came at 4:45 as instructed and everything was great. They gave us plenty of plates, forks, napkins and the food was well over what was needed. This is the first time I have tried moe's but have seen many restaurants in other cities. The food was good.... I had the nachos with ground beef. The queso was good and the ground beef was just the right amount of spicy. You could add any fresh veggie on top that you wanted and I wished I had added a few more tomatoes on top of the pico. They even have the coke freestyle machine which is my favorite since I can get my diet cherry coke (thou this time I had the raspberry lemonade). The one complaint I had about my experience at moe's would be that the serving line was way under staffed and they were a little over whelmed with the long line. Hopefully after a few weeks they will get the flow going so that we don't have to wait a long time to get food. read more

I like Moe's...it is an easy way to get my Mexican food fix without going to a regular restaurant. I usually get a salad or burrito bowl which are tasty and filling. I detest Qdoba so nice to have this place. The manager is always nice and friendly, and my order is usually right. I hope they last as it is not too busy at lunchtime. The one weird thing is that there are somebody kids around who obviously belong to an employee as they are in the back, lounging all over the booths, etc. Maybe the manager's? Not sure. These are school aged children so not sure what they are doing at Moe's on a Tuesday at noon. I get it that child care is tough but it is annoying for 2 reasons....you seem only play the Nick junior channel. I'm not a big tv watcher but catching up on some news at lunch may be nice. As a fan of Chipotle I am always not too interested in trying other places serving this type of food. I have to say that Moe's is very good. Not as good as Chipotle but pretty close. The stand outs for Moe's are the free chips and salsa bar and the soda machine that has so many flavors (not sure how many but a whole lot). Will be visiting again. They showed up 45 minutes late and by the time they got everything set up, the meeting was already over. I gave them a 2 star because I love their food.
