Cobwebs hanging from the lights and ceiling.

First of all let me say we order from this Moe's about 3-4 times a month. We tend not to dine in because the restaurant is somewhat dirty and the staff are more interested in their own conversations than paying attention to the customer. We order the meal kits and they are always hot and well put together so we order ahead and come in and grab it or get it delivered.... Fast forward to today's debacle... We placed an order on Moe's website at 5:00. We placed the order because our friends needed a meal and we weren't home to cook. (Sounded like a good idea). The order arrived at 6:10. Now I don't fault the time on anyone, it was quoted for 6:10 and arrived right on time. Our friends called and thanked us for the order but noted there was no meat.... We looked on the app and, yes, we ordered chicken and Ground beef. My wife called the store and spoke to Kristen, (very nice and apologetic for the mix up) who said we had to figure out what third party received the order and call them. After a half hour of tracking down phone numbers and speaking to people at customer service for Door Dash the order was resubmitted at 6:29. At 7:30 our friends still hadn't gotten their dinner. Long story short.... (Yeah right). We called the store and spoke with Dan who was quite rude and said he had fixed the first order himself and that he could not find the meat options on the original order. I HAVE IT RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! Yes we ordered chicken and Ground Beef. He said we would have to call Door dash again, he couldn't help us, nothing had come through. It's 8:45 now and just got off the phone with Door Dash. The store had not accepted the 6:29 order to remake. The excellent people at Door Dash offered us a refund. Our friends are fast asleep by now and enjoyed their vegetarian tacos. Wish we could have taken better care of them. Final nail in the coffin they forgot the 6 cookies my wife ordered. Lots of trouble for a $50 screwed up order.

No where does this coupon state what items are not included in this promotion.
    Theresa M.

Moes used to be a great restaurant. However my last visit have been bad. An employee offered the take off a price of a burrito since it was a free birthday burrito. Next thing I know she decides that the burrito isn't include and charges me. I said there where no exclusions or specifications on the coupon. The employee said it doesn't matter what it says it's not included. There needs to be a sign if Moes is going to make specifications or exclusions. Employees need to be retrained on speaking to customers. When I sent feedback to Moes I received an email saying " The free Birthday Burrito has been around a long time, whereas the chef builds are fairly new and not included in any promotion since we offer them already at a special price. " No where in the restaurant is there a sign stating items are not in included in any promotion. The coupon doesn't state this anywhere. A burrito is a burrito. I will not be returning and I advise others not to either.

Typically the burritos and tacos are pretty decent, but I placed a To-Go order recently and it must've been new staff on because I received something closer to a burrito nugget than the Moo Moo Mr. Cow for my son. He saw it and said "Who's is THAT?" _ On top of that, they left out my side of queso for the "make it a meal" deal and both of my soft tortillas were hard on the edges. It was a weird combo of mistakes, which admittedly hasn't happened before, but come on. Care a little more about your product, please. I didn't have a receipt to review my order through Moe's website, so I took to Yelp (as you do). I'm in no hurry to go back.

They seriously gave me a tiny baby burrito... what the heck is this?
    Theo A.

Updating to a 5 star instead of three. We went back, and they were solid. Still salty about that baby burrito, but I can't stay mad for long when burritos are involved.

Rude staff and over priced for what you get! I had a terrible experience and queso was really too thin.

I fell in love with Superica when I first moved to Charlotte nearly three years ago, and it quickly…read morebecame one of my go-to spots for reliable, flavorful Tex-Mex. But I have to start with a small heartbreak: my beloved puffy taco is gone. I grew up in San Antonio, Texas, where the puffy taco was created, and it's deeply nostalgic for me. It's not a sope, not a tostada--it's a true puffy taco, light, airy, and unlike anything else. For a long time, Superica made one that came remarkably close to what I grew up with. Unfortunately, after changes in leadership and kitchen management, it quietly disappeared from the menu. That was a real disappointment. That said, I still come back--because the food here is consistently good. The crispy tacos with picadillo are my current favorite. Picadillo (P-I-C-A-D-I-L-L-O) is a traditional Latin dish with many regional variations, and this version reminds me of the one my grandmother used to make in San Antonio. The portions are generous, the flavors are balanced, and the menu offers something for everyone--from enchiladas and chile rellenos to steaks and fresh tableside guacamole. Speaking of guacamole, I'm a purist. I like it simple: avocado, jalapeño, cilantro, lime, garlic--chunky and clean. Superica delivers on that. The chips and salsa are bottomless, the salsa has great depth of flavor, and for those who like heat, they offer a tiny dropper of hot sauce that is smoky, bold, and absolutely not for the faint of heart. The ginger margarita is another standout. It comes with a generous piece of crystallized ginger and has a bright, balanced flavor that makes it easy to order a second one. And if you have room for dessert, do not skip the tres leches cake--rich, decadent, and a perfect way to end the meal. I also appreciate the little touches here: * Friendly, knowledgeable waitstaff * A lively bar area that's great for happy hour * A beautiful outdoor patio that makes al fresco dining feel special * And a fun tradition of sending you home with a packaged Texas praline This South End location is my personal favorite. It feels more adult and relaxed, while the Strawberry Hill location tends to be more family-heavy. Both are good, but the vibe here suits me better. Yes, prices have crept up a bit--as they have everywhere--but the quality, consistency, and atmosphere keep me coming back. And as someone who travels frequently for work across multiple states, I appreciate that Superica maintains a dependable standard wherever I encounter it. Bottom line: Even without the puffy taco, Superica remains one of my favorite Tex-Mex spots in Charlotte. Come hungry, bring friends, share plates--and as always, travel safe and eat well.

*Updated Review* January 6, 2025…read more We were invited back by the owner to experience the exciting changes made to the restaurant, and I am happy to say it was a complete turnaround from my previous visit. It is clear that these updates have made a big difference. Starting with the exterior, the restaurant now boasts a fresh coat of paint and a new entry arch, giving it a clean and welcoming look. Inside, they have removed the buffet to add more tables, creating a more spacious and modern feel. There is also a new bar area where guests can enjoy drinks while watching games on the TVs. The tabletops have been updated, and the décor beautifully complements the murals, creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere. One standout addition is their bakery, which offers fresh-baked goods made on-site. The updated menu is visually appealing, and the food quality is top-notch, making for an exceptional dining experience. For the table, we enjoyed the Bandeja Antigua--a platter with 1 chuchito, 1 tamal, 1 tostada with guacamole, 1 tostada with beans , 1 tostada with tomato sauce, 2 plantain rellenitos, 2 crispy chicken tacos , 2 chicken empanadas, and Chapin-style enchiladas. My husband and neighbor tried their Charro Beans and fell in love with the flavor. I tried their special ceviche--fish , octopus , shrimp , red onions , tomatoes , cilantro, and cucumber. It came in a beautiful boat-shaped bowl and was definitely flavorful. It was topped with sliced avocado . My husband had the Burrito California--rice , beans , grilled chicken , onion , tomato , and bell peppers topped with melted cheese . He definitely didn't complain. Something to note, though, is that if you order a burrito "a la Antigua," it includes rice, beans, lettuce, onion, cilantro, cream, and cheese inside the nurrito, not on the plate. My other neighbor ordered the Burrito Cheese Steak- Grilled steak, fried onions, inside the burrito, served with rice, beans, and cream salad, topped with melted cheese. Their vision remains centered on their team--motivated, dedicated individuals committed to providing excellent service to every guest. They genuinely value the community that supports them and strive to create meaningful connections. With a focus on sustainability, efficiency, and constant innovation, their mission is to bring people together and make every visit memorable and enjoyable. To further show their appreciation for the community, they offer a 50% discount to active military personnel, police officers, and firefighters, as well as a 10% discount for veterans. It's heartwarming to see their dedication not only to great service but also to giving back. We honestly had no complaints about the quality of the food or service; it was well worth the price, and the amazing tastes were a definite plus!!
