It's near mile marker 87, about 64 miles west of Phoenix, AZ and 68 miles east of Quartzsite, AZ. The rest area has clean restroom facilities, plenty of parking for vehicles of different sizes (from motorcycles to 18-wheelers), several picnic areas, dog walking area, snack machines behind heavy metal bars, and a water spigot. There are some fun informational signs about topics unique to Arizona --(1) rattlesnakes, Gila monsters, and scorpions. (2) state parks, attractions. (3) fun facts about cacti. (4) and my favorite, the 5 Cs of Arizona: cattle, citrus, climate, copper, and cotton. My understanding is that Arizona allows motorists to stay here overnight, and restrooms are open 24/7; however, it's likely to be very noisy given its proximity to the freeway and the high volume of trucks and traffic coming into the rest area.

When I went to use the restroom , the bathroom door didn't have a lock on it, so I had to move and use another stall. There was toilet paper on the ground and the hand dryers were out of order. It wasn't the cleanest but it served its purpose. You can also let your dog out here but there is no grass and my dog can be a little fussy about going on the dirt. We made it work though.

The have a 16 pumps and I think they all have diesel. Super nice not having to wait for the one diesel pump to open up. There's plenty of room to maneuver your vehicle in and out of the pumps without having to wait for the unoccupied car at the pump to move! Inside is super clean especially the restrooms! And, the resteoom's decent sized so you won't have to wait there either. The staff are very friendly and quick at the registers. And as a bonus, they offer FREE coffee if you get fuel! How cool is that.

**July 2026: Friday Afternoon Visits**…read more My friend and I stopped here on both the drive to and from Phoenix during our road trip, and it turned out to be a really convenient place to take a break. We needed a place to charge his Tesla, and Quartzsite had plenty of EV chargers. Terrible's was just a short walk from the chargers and made for an easy rest stop. The restrooms were clean and plentiful, which we really appreciated after being on the road. Since it's Quartzsite, there were also lots of rocks and gems for sale along with snacks and drinks, which gave it a fun local feel. The AC was blowing hard inside, which was especially nice considering how hot it was outside. Overall, this was a really good stop and a convenient place to recharge, both for us and the car.

Super affordable and quiet place at night which I liked cause other places I have stayed you would hear noises at night or see things that children shouldn't see or hear. But what was the cherry on top for me that it was a non smoking hotel. Some hotels are like that and you can still smell smoke, but this one not even in the hall way you were able to smell smoke so I really like that. That's why I say I would stay here again. We didn't see the pool but maybe next time we will go to the pool. Besides the elevator being kinda scary just feel like they need to repair it. The blinds worked fine but early in the morning you can see the light coming through the room so it woke us up early but other than that I would definitely recommend this place.
