So sad. Mango mochi without much mango at all...Nothing like what's advertised.
    Kayla P.

I sincerely hate leaving purely negative reviews, but unfortunately, everything about my experience at Moignet left a negative impression, and I want to make sure my thoughts are honest and transparent. First of all, this was my first time at Moignet, and I was excited to try because there was so much hype surrounding it. This was evidenced by the long line of customers, which was out the door and wrapped around the side of the building. Even though the line was just to place an order, it took a very long time to move. (By the way, I came on a weekday morning/afternoon.) But that's okay, not a huge deal. However, my first real complaint would be the rude interaction I witnessed from the cashier. To preface, this interaction didn't happen to me; it was with the lady in line ahead of me. The customer tried to order four orders of mango mochi (the specialty here), but customers were limited to two mochi orders per person. The lady didn't realize this and asked if her daughter (who wasn't on the premises) could count, to which the cashier said no. Up to this point, this was reasonable; it is store policy, after all. That being said, the cashier started escalating it and using an aggressive/condescending tone. Mind you, the lady was already ready to drop it, ready to order her two mangos. It just seemed like the cashier did not want to be there; I wasn't sure why she had an attitude. It was just an off-putting interaction that had me questioning the customer service here. To the cafe's credit, my order did come out really quickly. I ordered one mango mochi and a six-count order of their mochi beignets. Here is my review of each item: Mochi Beignets: These were disappointing. They were dense and heavy, which I shouldn't be surprised about because of the mochi component. Nonetheless, a regular beignet would've been much better, in my opinion. I recommend eating them fresh, as they do not hold well for long hours. Mango Mochi: This is what I was most excited to try, and again, I was disappointed. To be fair, the flavor isn't bad. However, the size of the mango was abysmal. Absolutely nothing like what they advertise. So different, in fact, I would actually consider it false advertising. I've attached a picture of the cross-section below. The portion was truly skimpy...Are they cutting corners? This early in the day? They just opened...! The inside of the cafe is pretty cute. Even though it was crowded, there was seating available because the bulk of customers were all standing in line waiting to order...Is there no better system? But at least that makes it easier to find a spot. Overall, I was sorely let down by this experience at Moignet. I think it's definitely a TikTok/trendy type of establishment, so I don't know how the fad will fare in the long run. Sorry, but I can't recommend it.

I saw this cafe on Instagram and I really wanted to try out their mango mochi. When I came, they were actually out of the moignets and only had mango mochi so I was still in luck! Mango Mochi - Super yummy and not too sweet at all! I loved how big the mango inside the mochi was and the softness of the mochi. I wish there was a little more cream, but liked that it wasn't too sweet to overpower the mango. Would definitely come back to try the moignets and get the mango mochi again!

Wanted to see what the hype was all about regarding the mango mochi. OMGeeee! You need to stand in line early to ensure you get a taste of the perfectly ripened slice of mango wrapped in a sheet of mochi flour. Every bite was the right amount of ripe mango and mochi. I will stand in line again for this heavenly treat. Also tried the iced mango matcha, which was a refreshing matcha drink with mango puree on the bottom of the cup. Got some mochi beignets dusted with powdered sugar and matcha powder to share. These are sold in 6 and 12 packs. The beignets are made to order and each bite was chewy mochi deliciousness. You can order sauces like chocolate and caramel to dip the mochi beignets in. I failed to order the dipping sauces, so will do so on my next visit. Interior was modern with a few high-top tables and felt clean and inviting. The service was great and they had an effective system where an employee with an ipad worked the line to put on orders of anything other than the mango mochi. I will definitely bring friends and family to Moignet!

Moignet has been on my Vegas must-try list for ages, and I was practically giddy as I pulled into the (very busy!) parking lot. I've heard lots about long lines and packed tables, but luck was on my side. Got a parking spot right in front, walked in with no wait, and grabbed a shaded table outside. Can you say meant to be?! Although Moignet is famous for their mochi beignets, I came for the mango mochi and let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint. Watching a fresh batch being made right behind the counter was pure temptation, and my mouth was watering before I even placed my order. We ordered the mango mochi, the pork belly and egg sando, and a hot vanilla latte. Everything came out hot, fresh, and seriously delicious. The mango mochi was pillowy-soft with a burst of flavor as I bit into the generous slice of real mango. The pork belly sando was super flavorful and satisfying. The slice of pork belly was thick, juicy, and oh so yummy. Perfectly paired with the chive sprinkled, fluffy eggs. And the latte? Perfectly smooth, ideal for a relaxed morning in the breezy outdoor seating. Service was friendly and efficient, though interaction was minimal, just ordering at the counter and having our food brought out. Friendly staff, clean space, and a truly unique menu. If you've been waiting to try Moignet, seize your moment. You might get lucky like I did! I'll be back for more, and you should be too.

This was my first time trying Moignet's mochi beignets. We went during EDC weekend in the afternoon and there was about a 15-minute line to get to the register and about 10 minutes of waiting for our moignets to be served. There are seats inside, but during busier hours they'll likely all be taken, so expect to bring your order to go or eat outside. The moignets had a pleasant chewy texture and a dusting of matcha powdered sugar over the top, which went well with the yuzu cream we ordered on the side, which costed an additional $1.50. While the cream was refreshing, it's not essential for the moignets to taste good. We also ordered the mango mochi, which came with a cake-like whipped cream inside. This had a bit too much of a vanilla flavor for me and overpowered the freshness of the mango. Overall, Moignet is a solid dessert spot to try in Vegas. I would visit again next time I'm in the area for a sweet treat.

You might find this funny or not but I had the perfect plan. I went to GYU Plus to order my egg sando which would take about 15 minutes. Then, I went to Moignet because there was a line but it was moving pretty quickly. I got there at about 11:45. I was in line for 10 minutes. I ordered a mango mochi with cream, 6 Moignets and an iced green tea. They immediately gave me my mango mochi. She said the Moignets will take about 15 to 20 minutes. So, I went back to GYU Plus where my sando was ready. I ate it at GYU Plus. Then, I went back to Moignets where my iced green tea was ready but not the Moignets. I waited about 5 to 8 minutes. Took it to go. The place was pretty packed with people waiting for their orders but with seats outside the place thins out. The lady at the counter was nice and gave me her full attention even with how busy the place is. Now, at home I took a bite of the mango mochi with cream and could not believe how sweet and delicious this treat was. Wow!!! Then, I shared my Moignets with my roommate. We both were moaning from the semi sweet delectable delightful Moignets. What a great combination. I was is awe but in a happy palate way. I truly enjoyed every bite.

Just be prepared to stand in line for the mango mochi because THAT is the star here. Easily one of the best bites I've had in a while. The mochi was super soft on the outside with the juicy sweet mango chunk filling tucked inside along with a subtle light cream center that balanced everything perfectly. It was fresh, creamy, fruity and dangerously easy to inhale in a few bites. At $7.50 each, it definitely felt pricey for one piece but somehow still worth it. I seriously wanted to bring some back to LA but they told me it really needs to stay chilled otherwise the texture changes. Maybe with a personal cooler and ice packs, it could survive the drive back home. We also tried the matcha beignets since that's another item they're known for. They were good but not something I'd specifically make the trek for again. Honestly, you can get beignets just as satisfying at Disneyland. The mango mochi though? That alone deserves the 5 stars from me.

Loved their mango moignets (mochi wrapped half mango with a layer of cream). It was so good! They consistently replenish the stock so if you're in line and see them only have a few left, just inquire when you get to the front. The store front is a bit small, but it does have seating inside and outside available. Parking can be tough, but people come and go quickly for pick up orders, so we didn't have to wait, too long. We went there twice in 1 weekend, it was that good!

This is a fairly popular place in Chinatown area, featuring the first of mochi beignets! People also go here for the pastries and mango mochi, but for the prices, I stuck to the mochi beignets as it is the most unique among all. There was a line when I went, and it took about 10 minutes to order. I got the 6 pieces mochi beignets with yuzu cream (extra $1.75, or $5 if you want to get all the sauces) and I went with just 1 sauce because I do want to truly savor the original flavors of the mochi beignet. The mochi beignet was delicious. Truly beignet outside, with a nice mochi inside (soft, a little sweet, but not too sweet). Dipping it into the yuzu cream further enhances the experience. I would've taken off a star because they messed up my order but they immediately resolved the issue. What happened was I was waiting 20+ minutes right beside the cashier and I never heard my name, and they claimed they did and gave the order to the wrong person. I requested to make things right and so they willingly refunded my whole order but still gave me the order as-is, so I appreciate that. Normally, it should take about 5-10 minutes to get the order, but something felt off when a lot of people ordered and left and I was still left waiting for my order.

The mango mochi is worth the hype. The mango was big, juicy, and sweet. It wasn't sour. I recommend going relatively early. I went after lunch and they were out of their cold brew. They're constantly making some of their desserts. I think they were making a fresh batch of the mango mochis when I went.

The wait is INSANE so just get ready. We can an hr after opening and waited an hr before ordering and maybe another 15 before receiving our food. Mango Mochi 10000/10 - this was AMAZING and Iwish we ordered 1 each. After the first bite I didn't want to share. The ran out shortly after we ordered so plan accordingly. Mochi Beignet 3.5/5 - this was okay. It's exactly what was advertised but I think I missed the fluffy/lightness of regular beignets. Sandos 4/5 - the ran out of pork belly and bacon by the time I ordered so that was a bummer but they were good. Mango Matcha - 3/5 - it was really sweet but photographed well.

The hype for mochi beignet is real... but is it worth the wait? Honestly... kinda mixed for me. The mochi beignet wasn't bad, but waiting 20+ minutes for beignets while standing around in a packed cafe with only like 5 tables available? That part killed the experience. The place gets insanely crowded and finding a seat feels harder than ordering the food itself. I get why people come here. The desserts are trendy, Instagram-worthy, and different. But after all the long lines and waiting, I kept thinking, "That's it?" What made it worse was the condition of the cafe itself. Management should spend more time checking the dining area instead of just focusing on selling. Tables were filthy and sticky from the fillings, trash bins were overflowing, and there was trash all over the floor. Even the restroom was filthy and dirty. For how packed this place gets, cleanliness should be a much bigger priority. Not bad. Just not worth the chaos for me. If you hate crowds and long waits, you might want to skip the hype train.

I visited Moignet Cafe on a Tuesday around 2 PM, and there was still a huge line because of all the hype around their viral mango mochi and mochi beignets. We ordered two mango mochi and the mochi beignets. The mango mochi was honestly underwhelming. It's essentially a regular piece of mango -- the kind you could easily find at Costco or a grocery store -- wrapped in mochi. For $8 a piece, it didn't feel worth the price, especially considering all the hype online. I think it would have felt more special if they used higher-quality or imported mangoes. The mochi beignets were better and definitely enjoyable, but they still didn't stand out enough for me to fully understand the craze. One thing I did appreciate was the staff. Even though the café was extremely busy, everyone was still friendly and working hard to keep things moving. The ambiance is nice enough for a quick stop, though nothing particularly memorable. Parking can also be difficult during peak hours, so plan accordingly. Overall, I'd say it's a trendy spot worth trying once if you're curious, but for me, the experience didn't quite live up to the social media hype.

I ordered the lemon madeleines instead and was confused since they were coated in this earl grey white chocolate. The madeleine was drenched in maybe milk so it was so soft like tres leches with a lemon custard center. I went back the next day and ordered fresh, piped and baked to order mini madeleines-- twenty pieces for ~$12?! I should've bought at least two orders! And they smell just like the hand cream! So I went and bought myself the cream from ULTA to remember my DA Vegas breakfast runs while staying at Caesar's Palace. Also, my sister LOVES the pain au chocolat! She had it twice and probably should've bought more. It's pricey at $10 but worth the splurge. DKAs also run at $10 each. Get a nice four piece box as a gift for about $41. Oh! I forgot I bought three canelés. Ended up eating two of them. Opt for the bag instead of the box to save money. Custardy center with a chewy exterior, tastes a bit like slightly burnt brown sugar, in the best way possible. Finally tried the infamous chocolate chip cookie shot with steamed Madagascar vanilla milk! The cookie is warmed in their oven for ultimate melty chocolate-ness. I'm glad I shared this. Maybe I'll try the torched marshmallow ice cream bar one day. Staff is super sweet and friendly. Line goes by quickly. They have a few tables to sit at for a quick snack or breakfast.

I haven't been here in ages since they remodeled but finally was able to stop by! I was looking…read moreforward to try their ice matcha but it has dairy in it which I can't have right now. Someone told me this was one of the best matcha. However, you really can't substitute other nondairy options. They have none. I'll have to come back on a different day. Anyways I got the Wagyu rice ball, curry beef pastry, and egg sando. Egg sando was delicious and on point! I'd love to try their other sandos though. Wagyu rice ball was pretty good but I think it would taste better warmed up. Curry beef--was not a fan of. Maybe I had to heat that up. A little too mushy for me. Service was great! She gave me the Wagyu rice ball for free to try! So nice! Everyone here is usually professional and kind. Definitely will be back to try that matcha and sandos
