The food is SO GOOD here! I only deducted a star because the service was extremely slow the night we went. It took almost 45 minutes for us to get our drinks. Now granted, we were a large party sat in the private room upstairs but because it was a birthday dinner, the long wait for drinks was a little frustrating. I loved Mojave, especially the Shrimp and grits! I ordered that with toasted Cuban bread on the side, and I had The Ramble to drink. I am super picky about shrimp and grits, but these were probably the best I've had in Georgia. It was that kind of good where you're starving, but then you take a few bites and you're full (yes it's creamy and rich, but mostly because it's so satisfying). I typically don't take out, but I couldn't leave it behind so I brought it home for leftovers. I have NEVER been so excited about leftovers, lol. The Ramble was good. A little sweeter than I expected, but still good. A friend ordered the lamb, which comes served over mashed potatoes and crispy onions, with asparagus. This dish was REALLY good as well. Also, we did have queso poblano as an appetizer. It was ok. The atmosphere is cool. There's upstairs and downstairs seating. I think the vibe you get here kind of depends on where you're seated. We were inside, downstairs, but there is patio seating on the water. I know I'll be back, so next time, the patio is where I'll sit! Overall: I really enjoyed the food. Cute spot. We came here during happy hour during our visit to the area for our family reunion. The restaurant is huge and in a beautiful scenery. The happy hour had good options and the menu is a nice size. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They answered our questions and were super nice. It was a very inviting establishment, taking into consideration both the cozy interior as well the beautiful pond and fauna it is overlooking. We all split the guacamole and queso to start. While the queso was good, I would probably opt for a double portion of the guacamole next time, as it was super fresh and a great pairing for the large tortilla chips. Having a group of 10, our server was very attentive and helpful. She helped me decide on the Tequila Salmon as opposed to the Paella, which my colleague ordered and was kind enough to let me try. The salmon was cooked perfectly; however, the sauce was a little more tangy than I imagined it would be (still good though). The Snapper Taco was a welcomed accompaniment to my meal and came topped with a delicious pineapple salsa. I had an absolute great brunch here we had no problem getting a table I started with the ceviche appetizer. It was amazing it was salmon, avocado, and cucumbers. I Held a group event there December 2025 with a 130 people, food and service were on point! The owners Lana & Rainer were very efficient and thorough making sure our guests had everything they needed and more. This place has definitely stayed in business for the views of the Chattahoochee River, not for the food. We had a dinner reservation for 5 at 7:30 on a Sunday. I was able to make the reservation the day of on Open Table. When we got there, they were kindly able to switch our table to outside. If you must go here, I recommend eating outside. They have fans and great views. A couple issues. Our waitress recommended the priciest things on the menu. Don't fall for it. Also, we didn't order guacamole, but a server brought it to our table and we told her we didn't order it, but she left it because that's typical restaurant etiquette. So we started eating it. Then our waitress came over and told us that (after we had already taken the large taco shells off the plate) she could take the guacamole away and not charge us for it or leave it on the table and we would be charged. Since we had already started eating it, we told her to leave it, but that was a huge turn-off. Here's what I had: - Queso Poblano ($9.95): Good. Comes with large taco shells that are not ideal for dipping. Why can't they just do normal chips? Overpriced though. - Blue Corn Bread with Honey Butter ($3.95): Good. - Housemade Guacamole ($13.95): Good, but for $13.95, we should've gotten a gallon's worth of guacamole. - Steak Taco ($5.95), Tempura Shrimp Taco ($5.95), Mexican Street Corn: The tacos didn't have much flavor. Out of the two I had, the shrimp had a tad more flavor. The Mexican street corn was certainly not the best I've had. I also got the Prickly Pear drink ($15). Definitely not worth it. What better place to eat on a Sunday evening (or anytime) than Mojave's. To be honest, we weren't impressed the first time we came here. We decided to give them another chance since our friends had spoken so highly of them before. This particular Sunday, we requested seating on the covered patio. We had forgotten to make a reservation so were happy to find available seating for both inside and outside. Each table on the patio has its own upright heater, which was perfect because it got chilly. It also added to the romantic ambiance. Our server Gabriel was excellent. We ordered (1) Red Mesa Salad with blackened chicken and a pineapple Jarrito soda and (2) Chicken enchiladas with black beans, rice, and salsa verde and Moscato wine (comes in a small bottle enough for 2 glasses). My sister and I had the prickly pear and abejorra cocktails respectively, and they were delicious. We started with blue corn cakes and honey butter- so good, I scooped up the leftover butter and ate it like frosting! We sampled all the tacos - chicken, carnitas, tempura shrimp, steak (medium), and snapper - all were excellent and each had a little different spicy kick. Had the Mexican street corn, which complemented the spice in the tacos really well. My sister also had black beans and Spanish rice and chicken verde tamale. All were good, but she couldn't finish them. We took home a tres leches to go, whose components were separated to assemble when we got home, but I would have preferred it pre-assembled so the different creams had more time to soak through. I like that communication was clear and accommodating. We arrived early and they said a few more people need to arrive but feel free to sit at bar. I really enjoyed the spot. The first grade thing is that there is plenty of available parking nearby. Additionally if you have to unload passengers when approaching the restaurant there's a great place for that. Upon entering the building I was impressed. The views are beautiful the furniture is Perfect for the setting. I was quickly seated and impressed with the friendliness of the greeters and the weight staff. Now for the food... I was not disappointed. I an opportunity to try several appetizers. All of them were great. I particularly adored the guacamole and chips. The guacamole was fresh with the perfect tartness of lime at. For my entrée I ordered the stuffed bell peppers. The portion was amazing. Plus the quinoa salad and the grilled asparagus were amazingly tasty. I loved the rolled up eggplant dipped in flour and filled with ricotta cheese. I was very happy with this meal. A truly wonderful first experience at Mojave. I've dined at the location previously when it was other restaurants, so I know the setting is lovely. The way that it is currently decorated and set up has enhanced what is already a beautiful setting. My friend and I arrived, were promptly seated, and greeted by our waiter, Trey. We began with an Old Fashioned and a Peruvian Pisco. Both drinks were well made and delicious. For our meals we chose the Asado Short Ribs, and the ensalada de salmón. I asked to have my salmon cooked medium rare, and to have the dressing switched out to the cilantro basil vinaigrette, on the side. When my salad arrived, it and the Salmon were perfect! The short rib plate was a more than a generous serving and everything was delicious! The food, the service, the setting, & the ambiance, were all wonderful. Mojave has such a fun vibe and great food! I went with a group of 3 on a Friday night around 7pm. It was pretty full and loud especially because there was a live band. We had a reservation so we were seated promptly after arriving. Our waiter Nicholas was very attentive and kept checking in to see if we were ready to order or needed anything. Appetizer: We ordered the Tostada Cascada which was bigger than I thought it would be. It was probably enough for a meal in itself. They were very generous with the amount of chicken which was nice considering this was $15. Definitely worth the price. Drink: I asked for a non alcoholic drink and our waiter said they could make a mojito with strawberry! It was really good it tasted like strawberry lemonade honestly and it was nice they were accommodating especially because most places will just say they can't make it. Entrée: I was beyond full after eating the app so I decided to just get (1) steak taco. It was so good super flavorful. I wish I could've appreciated it more but I was so full! When ordering the taco our waiter said we could add some sides so I got rice and beans; however, when we got the check I found out that you had to pay extra for those. I thought it was included but I wasn't mad because I love rice and beans and I probably would've got it anyway. Dessert: We got flan and tres leches for dessert. Unfortunately not pictured because we ate them so fast but both were decent sizes (enough to share between 2 people). Each dessert came with a scoop of ice cream and some fruit on the side. As my bf walked out I decided to see when a table would be available and was told a table was free. As we entered the restaurant there were several empty tables outside and they stayed empty until we left. So why were we almost sent away and told nothing was available? The meal...
