I've heard a lot about Mojave, it's beautiful ambiance, outdoor patio & delicious food! So the Fiancé & a few friends decided to visit one Saturday morning for brunch! Reservations are definitely suggested, we walked in right when they opened, so we lucked up on a table for 5. But the majority of the restaurant had already been reserved for other diners. The ambiance is absolutely gorgeous, from the outdoor entrance to the inside & outdoor patio with the fountain! We ordered, the Steak & Eggs, Huevos Rancheros, Omelet Mariscos, French Toast and Eggs Benedict. I personally ordered the Omelet Mariscos and honestly I was a bit disappointed. There was hardly any spinach and no arugula in the omelet. The waiter spoke about it like it was the BOMB! But I didn't realize there was no tomato, cheese, onions, etc, ya know, the ingredients that make an omelet. But that's on me for not reading the ingredients. All I had a was an egg with seafood, potatos and a biscuit, womp. My Fiancé had the steak and eggs and he stated the steak had no flavor & it was a bit chewy. My friends had the other dishes and they said the french toast was delicious! The experience was definitely nice, although our food selections were subpar! Our waiter Skyler was outstanding! I would definitely return to Mojave, I would love to try their dinner options, but brunch, Idk I may be back for the french toast. All in all, Mojave is gorgeous! We also came in for a Saturday brunch which was really good. Pretty packed but it seemed the wait was for people with more than 2 people waiting to eat. We were seated quickly. Very cute restaurant in the daytime. The first time I was here was in the evening close to closing so going in the day was way more lively. We had the Mojave benedict and the salmon croquettes. Nice place to go for any occasion or any time of day. I went for brunch and there were so many nice places to sit. We made reservations and the hostess sat us next to the window with the water view. Super cute for pictures. They also have an upstairs which looks built out for parties, but when there is no parties they seat people upstairs and it's small and intimate. They always have an event or special happening which makes the restaurant FUN! We went on Sunday for bottomless mimosas which ends at 3pm. They make them good and strong! Mojave is a beautiful restaurant. My mother and I went here for dinner earlier this week and really enjoyed ourselves. The restaurant has a lot of seating indoor and a nice patio outside. It was pretty busy but thankfully we were able to be seated right away. Our host was very sweet too. Service seemed a little slow but it was busy night so it didn't bother us. I was mostly excited about trying their drinks. The cocktail menu is pretty extensive with lots of colorful cocktails. I tried the refresco de sandia (watermelon) and my mom tried the ramble. I thought both drinks were delicious. The sandia was the perfect blend of sweet with the watermelon and citrusy with lime juice/fresh basil. The base for the ramble is gin which I'm a fan of but I don't think my mom is (though she claims she is lol) because she described it as bitter tasting. I thought it was a well crafted drink. I wanted something light for dinner so I had the Red Mesa salad which came with grilled chicken, avocado, tomatoes, cheese with tortilla toppings and a cilantro/basil vinaigrette. It was pretty good and filling for a salad. For desert I ordered the tres leches which I was a little on the fence about because it looked different compared to tres leches I normally get. It came with a side of blackberries and coffee ice cream. It was okay in my opinion, I'd probably opt for a chocolate dessert next time. Overall I think this is a nice restaurant. A few things to know. It is valet only so make sure you have a cash. I didn't attend the "normal" restaurant. I went for a birthday party in the private upstairs area. So instead of a full menu you have a choice of like 3 selections for an appetizer and main courses. Think of a wedding set up. But I did get to try the lamb. It was really good just seemed like more bone than anything else. After spending $220 for 2 people we both left hungry. I don't know if it would be different if you are just going with a person reservation. Now it is a really nice atmosphere and the host at the front desk was really cool. Ok so this is a cute little spot. Came here at 11am Saturday without a reservation.... I thought since my friend and I were getting there at opening time, we'd be fine. At first the hostess tried to offer bar seating, we were ready to leave...but then she offered upstairs. Upstairs is a small extra seating area. It's away from everyone else, which in this climate...isn't a bad thing. Our waitress Maria was super sweet and helpful. No masks worn by the staff if that's important to you. I had the white sangria to drink and the Spanish frittata with grits for food. The frittata wasn't bad, it was VERY filling. The ingredients all tasted fresh, I was just missing a little of something...not sure what. The grits were yummy and creamy (my fave). It also came with a biscuit that tasted just like KFC biscuits. The drink was yummy and tasted like juice, and I'm not sure if it was the drink, the food, or a combination of both...but I had to take a long nap when I got home lol. This time I went and sat at the bar on cinco de mayo. 2 bartenders were working and one spotted me sit down.... I waited about 5-7 min and then the bartender asked me did I know what I wanted, I advised he never presented me with a menu.. once I got my menu it only took a few minutes and then I was ready to order. Once I finally got my food, I didn't have any silverware, had to wait for that..... asked for water, water was given with no ice...... I just felt really dismissed by the bartender and I'm a paying customer, it's not like I was only getting a drink, I got food and a appetizer. Beginning with dinner at @mojaveRestuarantAtl. Making sure that you didn't eat too much and getting sleep before the move was a strong battle because the food was great. The lively music and we could have very easily been in the underwater city of Talocan enjoying a meal. With so many of us present, everyone tried something different. From the Spanish meatballs, ceviche Lima, and calamares frescos. The enchiladas, the tequila orange salmon, and the chipotle lamb costilas were all delicious and no one got their white dirty! We came for dinner prior to heading to the movie theater to see Black Panther 2. I got 2 Smoked Chicken Tacos and one Steak Taco with beans and Spanish Rice. The shredded chicken was not that great so I wouldn't recommend, however the steak tacos, Spanish rice, and beans were great. I asked our waiter for salsa verde to see if it would make my the shredded chicken taco better, but she had it delivered to the wrong table. Then she saw that I hadn't gotten it yet and instead of going to get it herself, proceeded to take the order of a 12 person table so it took a while. I ended up having to ask another waiter to bring me the small cup of salsa. By now the taco was ice cold so I was basically done eating. Mojave is absolutely gorgeous and the food is great, but it's way overpriced and I don't think I've ever had service this awful before at such a high quality restaurant! There were four of us who arrived for our reservation at 7. We were seated on the patio and I believe we were our waitress's only table out there, which may have been why our dinner took over 2 hours and we only saw her about 4 times during the 2 hours. We started with the guac to share between the four of us. It's a little bit on the pricier side ($13), but to me, it was the perfect guac because you couldn't taste any of the cilantro over the other seasonings and the perfectly toasted tortilla chips! Unfortunately, we ran out of chips pretty fast since we only got one chip per person, and it took us about 30 minutes to get more. (We waited about 15 minutes, had to flag down another waitress to find ours, and then it took her another 15 to come see our table). For my entree I got the ancho steak. It was fairly disappointing that I only got 4 small pieces of steak for $32 when in the past people have gotten slabs of steak, but the flavors were some of the best I've had! I have no idea what is in that middle corn and cheesy potato mixture, but it was one of the best things I've ever tasted. The rest of the table had the mole chicken, pork carnitas, and crab enchiladas. Chef recently revised the menu. WONDERFUL JOB! We had the pleasure of sitting at the bar with the chef and relied on his recommendations. He did not miss!!! But you can not come here without trying 3 items: cornbread "churros", grilled Cabbage (this is rhetorical best item on the menu!), and the Salmon Ceviche. Week done Chef!! Absolutely loved this place! The specialty cocktails are so fun and come in super cute glasses plus the happy hour deals from 4-6 are pretty good. The chips are made fresh and 100% recommend the ceviche flight and Brussels sprouts. Visited Mojave while in town in Atlanta and oh my goodness--what a treat! I visited for a birthday celebration. When I arrived, there was a reserved table with placements and sips of Clase Azul awaiting each guest. Service was top notch! Cocktails were phenomenal in taste and presentation! I ordered the paella and not only was it delicious, the portion could have fed two people. No one in the party had a bad dish--everything was delicious! Ambiance was desert chic! This restaurant is less than 10 minutes from my home and I have heard one too many times that I needed to try it and we finally did. ATMOSPHERE: Almost a Latin meets Industrial kind of vibe; very neutral and dimly lit. Definitely a place for all occasions: date nights, family dinner, birthday dinner, quick cocktail and meal. SERVICE: I would recommend a reservation especially on the weekend. They do require you to put a card of file for reservations and it's a $10 fee per person if you do not make your reservation without informing the restaurant. I would give service that night a 8/10, it seemed as if they could've been a bit more attentive at the hostess station and once seated. However, there were 3 dinner parties with at least 8 people going on when we came, so I can understand how managing more than one table could be. Overall, our server, Aliya, was amazing. Very knowledgeable of the menu, full of personality and accommodating. FOOD: I would give a strong 9/10 Appetizer: We went simple and had the house made guacamole and house made tortilla chips. My favorite snack is chips and dip and this was simple, fresh and did not disappoint. Kid: You can't go wrong with chicken and french fries, we normally push her to eat unique kid options but we didn't want to exert the energy (you know how kids can be). They do have a taco, quesadilla, and of course chicken tender meal for the kids. Sides include corn, fruit and/or steak fries. Me: The Mexican Soup was so amazing. It had shredded chicken, rice, avocado, onions and a mild broths base. Highly recommend!! I had the chicken enchiladas with green sauce for my entree (red is an option for sauce while crab, veggies, chicken and steak are the options for the enchiladas). As a unit they were great but the meat itself was not very flavorful. The rice and beans were perfect and delicious! My husband had the Mixed Grill which included bone in quail, bone in chicken and lamb chops. It was a lot of food accompanied by house made guacamole, charro beans and flour/corn tortillas. Will definitely come again to explore more of this menu including tacos and dessert. We stumbled upon Mojave but accident while in the area, so we were excited to join the brunch crowd. There were plenty of people going and coming, but we still managed to get a seat outside. The view from the patio over looking the fountain was beautiful. Our waiter was a little slow, but that's expected on a busy Sunday. I ordered a white sangria and calamari. Then the fish and steak tacos for my entree. I was most excited about the sangria and calamari. The sangria was refreshing and crisp. I ran across this restaurant due to not finding parking at Rays on the River. I pulled up the info on Mojave and was like, let me try this place out. It did not disappoint, the view from our seating was very nice. They offer indoor and outside seating. Our waitress was very nice, I'm sorry I can't remember her name, she was very knowledgeable of the menu and displayed pride with giving me the background on the Latin experience. I had the Tostado Cascade for an appetizer (would def recommend) and the Lobster Marea (pictured below), the lobster is fresh, the French fries and hush puppies were delicious also. I also decided to try a Mojave cocktail, our server recommended the Rio Suave, she also mentioned all of their drinks are made from fresh ingredients. It was so good, it is also pictured below. Solid brunch at Mojave! I got the blue corn cornbread which was 7/10. It was literally blue which surprised me and the butter that came with it was good too. Mexican meatballs were a 6/10, they were different but pretty tasty. For my meal I got the breakfast burrito and I would give that a 7/10 too, the flavor was pretty good. Parking can be a bit of a hassle so I suggest valeting your car but if you're up for a short walk there is a lot down the street where you can park. We decided to sit outside at one of the high top tables. It was already a beautiful day, but the Mojave garden and water feature added the icing to the cake. We immediately started attacking the drink menu lol I can't tell you what we had but trust me it was goood lol. The flavors were phenomenal and the presentation 10/10. We ordered the Omelet mariscos, Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, and a side of biscuits and gravy, and for dessert the French toast. Everything tasted incredible! Great brunch spot. But one major suggestion. The food was pretty good. The French toast was amazing. The bacon was ok. The grits were really really good. BUT that biscuit has to go. It looked and tasted like an old KFC biscuit and doesn't live up the restaurant. My friends enjoyed their food. Good location on the river. Free and valet parking available. Like we had no idea they could elevate such classic soups the way they did--- trust me, you've never had corn bisque like this! It was date night so, I didn't bring my lighting to take my usual food photos and the restaurant lighting is very low. Do, forgive my photo quality. But, let's not let that reflect the quality of good or service received last night. For entering the door the leaving, we received amazing service the entire night. Mike ( the host) was pleasant and welcoming. We were initally seated my the bar next to a door. My friend accidentally knocked over a glass on a table right next to us when we tried to switch places ( him closet to the door). Mike ( the host) promptly came over to clean up the glass followed by Mike ( the manager) asking if we were comfortable at our current table. I honestly said the gust from the ppl coming in and out made it unpleasant. Mike and Mike promptly moved us to another table and we got to keep our awesome server Chris. The food...oh my goodness...SO good. I started with the cornbread and it was amazing! My friend had the Spanish Meatballs. Also AMAZING. They were served on a bowl with a flavorful Verde sauce. My Salmon was equally tasty . Mike ( the manager) continued to check on us and make wonderful drink suggestions until he left for the night. Overall, this restaurant is wonderful! Enjoyed a lovely brunch at Mojave. They have $20 bottomless mimosas until 3 on the weekends. We had great service and great food. We also sat on the patio which has couches, dining tables, and high top tables. The Mexican street corn and my main dish were filling and flavorful. I had pulled chicken, beans, salsa, and an avocado cream on top. The setting is also pretty on the water almost tucked away in its own space. There is valet and self parking. Plenty of parking spots. Mojave means "by the water" and suits the restaurant nicely. You can sit on the patio and enjoy the view of the lake and the fountain. It's a popular local spot so make sure to reserve the table in advance. They have live entertainment along with specials several nights a week so check their website if you are a fan of trivia, wine, or music. I've tried several different margarita recipes and you can't go wrong with either of them. The food is great, and the menu offers Latin/Mexican dishes. My favorite has to be the paella. Very flavorful and plenty to share between 2-4 people, depending on how hungry your party is. Overall: great service, awesome patio, yummy food and drinks, plenty of parking, live music. Customer Service Review: I experienced @mojaverestaurantatl for the first time today during brunch to celebrate a friends birthday. Our service was terrible. We had no water refills, our waitress took forever to check back on us, I ordered a drink and the she brought my drink back incomplete and I had to send her back to the bartender for them to do it right, then she had the audacity to have an attitude because I called her out on it (and as I should then drinks aren't cheap I want mine done correctly), and she kept walking off fast when she heard us try to ask for something. Food Review: A friend received her food and it was cold. Another friend received his food and he got regular breakfast patties when he asked for chicken patties. My salmon croquettes with the potato casserole was also mid. The 1/2 done S'mores drink was also nasty. Ambience: beautiful. The restaurant is stunning. Now, this is a busy weekend. It's graduations, bridal showers, birthdays, etc and restaurant workers are overwhelmed. I understand that. But a little communication goes a long way and acknowledging mistakes is ok. I was surprised at how busy this spot was for a random Thursday lunch. Seems like it has some element of "local business" vibe to it...with an elegant flair. The menu is reasonably extensive with several options to cater to a variety of palettes (ask for their gluten-free or vegetarian menu if you are inclined). It's not cheap. I was surprised that the salsa appetizer even cost money (though the salsa was good). We also got the guacamole and queso. The blue corn bread was unique but not exactly healthy. Then again, neither is queso. Also got a cup of corn soup, which was tasty but sweeter than I expected. The entrees, as expected, are expensive but quite sizable in the portions that are offered. In hindsight, I could have shared my plato de verduras. It was tough to even finish half of it. In summary, I would recommend this spot. I came here on a pretty busy day. Even though we had made a reservation beforehand, we still ended up waiting about 25 minutes or so to get seated. We ended up choosing outdoor seating, right by the lake/fountain, and it was so nice! The vibe and ambiance is definitely a selling factor to this restaurant. There was very good service after we were seated. The food came out in a timely matter and the workers were all very nice. The food was very good too! The menu felt a little more Americanized than other Latin American restaurants I've been to, but it was still good. read more

What a pleasant surprise ambiance wise. I was longing to dine near the water and today I had a ladies brunch here. Decor is amazing! We were rushing to our seats so I didn't get to take a lot of interior and exterior pics but I'll be back soon! Service was wonderful. The white sangria wasn't too strong but it caused me to sleep on the ride back home! The girls raved about the French toast but I wanted to be more adventurous and try the Omelette Maricos which is a seafood omelette. You're gonna get a lot of seafood in it but it sorta fell a little flat for me. Maybe a nice cream sauce would have tied it together better. The skillet potatoes and biscuit it came with also were standard. The biscuit also did not come with anything to put on it. Put it this way-my meal was super healthy and on the dry side. Which isn't a bad thing. But I guess I wanted to be wowed with flavors. I was a little bored but I still ate everything because it is obviously prepared with a good enough standard. But I will be back. They have a pretty extensive brunch menu and happy crowds so I'm sure other items are amazing. Maybe I'll try dinner. I really want to give this place more stars but can't just yet. read more
