Let me start by saying I'm a huge foodie with high standards across food, beverage, service, atmosphere, ambiance, and everything that goes into dining and entertainment experiences. I'm sitting down to write this review the moment I got home from the restaurant just now. I'm not historically a Yelper but I have to write this word vomit that the restaurant has induced. I really wish I could give zero stars. This was the worst, most shockingly disappointing experience from end to end I've had in years. This restaurant felt like a kindergarten classroom. First of all, it's not "Latin American Cuisine" as they advertise, it's just middle-of-the-mall american mexican food, and that's being generous. The outrageous prices would have one think otherwise, but no. The ambiance and decor was cheap, sloppy, juvenile and straight out of 1994, a restaurant that sucked in 1994 too though. The food: I got the $30 pork carnitas, a dish I normally love. First of all, it comes out on the plate looking like someone poured their diaper on the dish. The presentation was as if a child put a meal together for their first time when their parents were working late. The Spanish rice was flavorless. The pork was mostly bland and flavorless but slightly sweet. The 'peach chutney' was just a few large, sloppy peach slices. The flavor profile was all sweet, no acidity or seasoning at all, and completely imbalanced. I also had chips and guacamole. The guacamole was bland and flavorless as hell and the tostadas they came with tasted like stale dog biscuits. Everyone's meal visually looked worth maybe $7 or $8 like from the only restaurant in a town with a population of 200 people (entrees are 20, 30, 40, and 50 dollars). No finesse of any kind whatsoever. I really can't stress enough how freaking embarrassing the food is here. I'm not big on fast food but McDonalds would have been better. Literally anything else would have been better than this. The service was very weak too. We sat at the bar and the bartender didn't know anything about the food, the drinks, or anything. He was totally rude and air-headed and definitely took away from the experience even more. My girlfriend had to give him the step-by-step walkthrough just to get her Margarita. And the guy was a dick about it even though he was the one that couldn't execute something so simple without help. The valet guy sucked too and I'm pretty sure he lied about the lot being full because it was mostly empty yet I still had to valet. And he was aggressive about me sending the money on Cash app even though I had every intention to pay him right then even though he was super slow and ignored me multiple times on the way in and the way out. I can't for the life of me understand how this place is actually in business today or even had a chance to survive past the early 90s. I don't know why anybody would ever go back here. You would have to either be a drunk, a child, or the most naive and uncultured type of adult to enjoy this place. Shitty flavor. Shitty presentation. Shitty food. Shitty service. Shitty prices. Shitty drinks. Shitty atmosphere. I'm going to have to pretend this night never happened, put it behind me as quickly as possible, and take this giant L. I will never go back or even speak the name of this restaurant for as long as I live. read more

Came here for brunch this weekend for the first time and loved it! We sat outside - they have heaters - and it was just a beautiful environment. The service was excellent, and I got the garden omelet, we shared the meat pie, and my fiancé got the breakfast panini. Everything was delicious. This place is reservation only - went here one Sunday morning for brunch and many drinks!! I don't typically eat guac but their guac was ANOTHER level and their bacon was so delicious I ate my partners bacon too! Their drinks were delicious. So, I went here on a Saturday night for my birthday dinner with a party of 12. Prior to my entire party arriving, I was in the bar area where The bartender Jaben (sp?) was so accommodating to my guests.... as well as the rest of the staff. One other bartender, even said, "We are a team... whatever you need I can get for you in Jaben's absence." I freaking love great customer service and from the bartenders to the waiters... it was greAt. Now for the food.... amazing! I tried to food sample all my bday dress would allow. The blue corn bread I didn't get to sample but everyone who did said it was awesome. One of my guests had the Mojave burger ... it was sooo flavorful. I had the short ribs... come hungry for that plate! Nice sized portions and a flavorful dish. A couple of my guests had the lamb chops and were impressed that the chops weren't chewy and had a decent amount of meat on them. Other guests had the orange glazed salmon and it was a decent portion size ...just like the rest of the food ..... and of course flavorful. As for the drinks.... top notch. I like crafted cocktails and they had several to pick from that my guests enjoyed. The food prices in my opinion lined up nicely with the portion sizes of the entrees. I would definitely go back again and I'm soooo glad that I didn't embarrass myself with a new restaurant. My husband and I went here on 5/1/21 at 9:30pm for dinner. The staff is not wearing masks, no safety protocols in place!!! Not sure if this is a Latin thing or just the mindset of the management. The ambiance was nice. Staff were nice. The food was so-so. The steak tacos for an appetizer were flavorful, but dry. We had pork carnitas and lamb chops for dinner. The pork was dry. The lamb chops were tiny. My 5'11" husband was still hungry after eating them as their portions are small to tiny. The guacamole was delicious, but the rice was bland. Service was so slow. There were long periods of time where our server/waitress Adrieana was nowhere to be found; when she did appear she was sweet and apologetic. We're just being honest here. Beautiful restaurant though. We saw this restaurant on Instagram and were drawn to it. We doubt we'll return as there are numerous amazing other restaurants in Atlanta. I could go on but I'll keep this review fairly short. I rarely write a negative review 3 stars or less, but wanted to give a candid review about our experience. I cannot recommend this place and will likely not return. The patio looked beautiful, but we couldn't get seated there as it was full. The restaurant was chilly, and we probably would've been more comfortable outside rather than inside, especially since they don't wear masks. They should display at the front door that they don't wear masks because we would've gone elsewhere for this reason alone, at least until we get through this pandemic. read more

This was supposed to be my first Mojave experience for fathers day. Atlanta Rain any bad customer service derailed that experience. Due to rain and traffic we were running late for our 12:15 reservation. We called ahead to let the staff know we were running late. We made it there in 18 minutes instead of 15 minutes so we lost our reservation. Which may have been somewhat understandable if I hadn't noticed 8 empty tables that the 3 of us would have gladly taken. It appeared to be empty enough where a 45 min wait was unreasonable. Extremely disappointed as my friends have told me nothing but good things about Mojave. Decided to try them out for my birthday dinner with family.... Bad idea. For starters, I requested a patio table and was seated in the main dining room where it was extremely loud and could not hear others in my party without yelling (5 other adults and 3 kids). The service was extremely slow and the waitress seemed to have an attitude when I arrived. I am unsure if it was just a bad day to visit or what but I was not pleased. The food was not very well seasoned. We had everything from guacamole, chips & salsa, wings, calamari, chicken mole to tacos, mexican street corn & soup. The Calamari was good & had a little kick to it with the mixed in fried jalapeños. The chipotle chicken wings were good as well. They had a grilled taste to them and the were not itty bitty small wings. The "rio suave" was a flavorful cocktail. By the time my food arrived, I was ready to go. I was over the experience and my birthday was ruined. Normally restaurants go out their way to make your birthday and everything a great experience and I just did not feel that dining with Mojave this evening. When presenting the issues to the manager, he did not introduce himself and gave off a vibe as if he did not want to assist in turning the bad experience around making it better. The decor inside the restaurant was crazy beautiful and it seemed like the outside seating would be perfect for the summer. We ordered the blue cornbread with honey butter as a starter. That was great. Then he had the open tortada, he loved it, but the breading was a bit too sweet for me. I order the salmon salad cooked medium and it was cooked perfectly. Nice sized salmon portion and great tasting vinaigrette dressing. Then at the end the waiter told us about weekly happy hours and had us sign up for a rewards card and it took off the price of our cornbread muffins. I went to Mojave for brunch with some friends. We kept seeing the restaurant on TikTok and figured we would try it out. We ordered the ceviche and wings for starters. The Ceviche was better than I expected it to be and the wings were good as well. Definitely do NOT recommend eating here if you have any form of food allergies. I verified my allergies, one of which is dairy, with the waiter twice, asked if they could make it safe, and the waiter checked with the kitchen and said they could accommodate me. The order came out, and I double checked if the food was prepared safe. The waiter double checked with the kitchen and said it was safe. I was still unsure based on the appearance, so ate what I could confirm was safe. The "sauce" congealed and looked more like cheese as the minutes passed by. When the waiter eventually came by, I asked him if the item had cheese, he checked with the kitchen, and surprise...it was CHEESE! I don't know if it was the fault of the waiter or kitchen, but clearly there is a disconnect somewhere. The waiter was mildly apologetic, and took $8 off the $41 entree (eye roll). If you can't accommodate my allergies, I can order something else; if you can't accommodate any allergy order, I'm happy to dine somewhere else. I've lived with allergies my whole life. I know some places can't, and that's ok. But don't say you can make it safe, and then serve me something with cheese! Thankfully dairy is not one of my anaphylactic allergies, otherwise I would have had to use an EpPen. 0/10, do NOT recommend. read more

He did such a great job making sure that we all had what we needed. We went during a time where we could order from both the brunch and the dinner menu. This was so disappointing tonight. We ate there two weeks ago and it was delicious. That time we had the fried chicken which was half a chicken cut into parts and fried., plentiful and perfect; salad with chicken which was also spot on . Tonight we ordered the same things. There were four of us. Two dishes were served and the others came 10 minutes later. The chicken this time was two small boneless breasts, not "fried chicken." Not the same experience. We also ordered the same salad--3 of them, one with dressing on the side. The chicken on the salad was inedible-tough and overdone; dressing was on the salad, not on the side. My husband sent his back and ordered a hamburger medium rare. After another 20 minutes he got his burger-so well done that even our well done lover (me) could not eat it. He sent that back and ordered a lobster roll which was basically pretty good. This was a terrible experience. When the bill came my niece was incensed that we had been charged full freight. She complained to the manager who explained that they would be happy to comp the meals we sent back, nothing for the fact that the chicken was basically inedible to all of us even if we accepted the salad? Nothing about the fact that our party had to eat in shifts and we had to wait while my husbands food was switched out 3 times. We were offered a dessert on the house which we refused. Any other restaurant that I frequent would have comped my husbands meal entirety, perhaps our whole meal for the unacceptable dining experience. We will never return here. I follow a page on Instagram that advertises hidden gems in Atlanta. This restaurant was featured on there and it looked like something I had to experience. I made reservations for 05/22/2022 at 8:45 pm . I arrived a few minutes early and was seated within 10 minutes. Which was great for a Saturday evening in Atlanta. Our server greeted us and we ordered appetizers and drinks. The salsa was very pasty and had a weird after taste. The queso was good so we ate that . We ordered our entrees I ordered the Asado short Ribs and my friend ordered the steak enchiladas. My ribs were very tender but that was the only thing good about my meal. The side of applewood bacon charro beans were cold and lumpy. My friend ordered medium well steak her steak was dry and beyond well done and the salsa roja on top of the enchiladas left it with a dissatisfying taste. While placing my order I also placed a to go order for my spouse . I ordered the Asado Ribs with the same sides as well as the Chocolate Lava Cake with the salted caramel ice cream. After over 30 minutes of not seeing our server I asked another team member if they would locate her . She instead just told me she would make sure it was being prepared. After another 20minutes my server appeared apologizing and saying she is really busy on the inside . Which I tried to be understanding of through out the night after waiting for straws, water, silverware, etc. at this point I'm just ready to leave. When the check came I paid and still waited another 20minutes for my to go order. At this time is almost 10:30 p.m. She brung a large bag to the table , I placed my left over ribs in the bag on top of another large to go container. I drive over 20 minutes home to realize she only gave me the desert of the to go order not the entree. I call the restaurant and they had little to no concern besides saying we're busy tonight and we're sorry and we will take the order off your transaction. What started as a great evening quickly turned into a horrible experience that I would never try again nor recommend. Had the Manager and or Server showed a little more concerned than just a simple sorry followed by excuses maybe I would try again but I don't feel comfortable spending money somewhere it's not appreciated. read more

I arrived on time and I was seated within 10 mins, we sat outside. We ordered classica margaritas as well as salsa and queso for an appetizer. My entree was the steak enchiladas. They were horrible, so dry, and the steak was over cooked and chewy. I also ordered the street corn and it had barely had any seasoning on it. My partner got the short ribs, they were very tender but the sides that came with it weren't very flavorful. The waitress kept disappearing. I had drinks, no straws. Food, no silverware. Getting these simple things took 15-20 mins at a time. The best thing about my meal was the margarita, rice and beans. When I told them of my experience the only thing they had to say was "I'm sorry", like they've said it so many times before. She was nice, knew everything on the menu, made suggestions and consistently checked in on us. Great meal and beautiful water view from the patio. We brunched on a sunny day and the hostess proactively offered to let the shade down for us that was a plus in itself. I had the lamb chop meal & my friend had the meat trio with lamb, quail and chicken. Really tasty and large portions.
