This is a cute spot. I only got drinks and queso because the queso wasn't all that. I sat down at the bar on an early Thursday evening. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the white sangria to start with. It was good. Then I ordered the queso. It was bland so I requested jalapeños. The queso is enough for two ppl. So first impression- Mario took care of us and he was absolutely graceful in his work. We were a loud , big table but he managed to help us in the most welcoming, courteous manner. I've not had assistance like that in years. Fantastic service. Food and drinks were second only to our customer service, and that is still saying a lot. I was very underwhelmed by this restaurant. It was probably the first restaurant I've been to since the covid shutdown that didn't have any of the employees wearing masks. There wasn't many people there around 5pm but I was seated away from everyone else who was seated in the front of the restaurant. I thought that was really strange. As new people came in, there were seated in the front. No one was seated in the main dining room like me until I was about to leave. I saw several waitresses standing around and talking, but no one came to my table until about 5-10 minutes of sitting there. I seemed very forgotten about. My waitress was nice and helpful but I would not say the employees were super busy. The food was ok and not worth the price. I got the lamb chops, but no one should be charging $27 for chicken enchiladas. The bill was $60. I've had less expensive yet more flavorful food at nicer establishments. It was like they were trying to be an elevated Mexican restaurant but without the flavor. I wouldn't eat here solo again. It was overpriced food that didn't have any authenticity. read more

It wasn't very crowded which should've told us what we needed. The place was super cute inside, nice for a date, but then the food came. Several of us had the tacos, and they were bland. Absolutely shocked at the overall review rating. It doesn't come close. Way overpriced Mexican food that was just decent. Then we got nickled and dimed over our whole check. I ordered steak tacos @ $5 each. They came with corn tortillas (never mentioned by our server) The tortillas were very grainy. I asked for some flour tortillas to just swap them over. They added $1.50 to my bill for tortillas. Come one! My daughters kid tacos didn't come with anything on them. $9 for a kids meals. I asked for a little bit of shredded cheese. They put a little bit but charged me an extra $1 for each taco. My wife's paella was fully cooked. The clams never opened. Mentioned to the server and he said he would let the kitchen know. We never heard anything back. After we were done eating the server comes to the table and asks if it's one check or two. I said two but my friend here would like to order a desert, Thanks for asking. There was no social distancing between tables. They were sitting every table available. Some with large groups. Probably not the best practice with COVID. Service poor. Food just ok. Prices sky high. The food is above average. The first time I went a couple of years ago, everyone was masked and responsible. But not yesterday. I went back in early afternoon Saturday 1/16/'21, the restaurant was packed - every table, every chair taken. Most employees were unmasked, zipping around the room from table to table as if it were 2019. I asked the hostess and manager if they would put on a mask, and they declined, saying rather defiantly that they didn't have to. I don't know if there was a change in management, but there isn't a lot that would entice me to risk hospitalization, and certainly not their food. My family and I went 2 blocks away to Ray's on the River, where everyone was masked, it wasn't packed with people, and the food was better anyway. read more

Came to celebrate birthday Sunday. Nice looking restaurant from outside and nice outside space with fountain. Made reservations from over a week before for a birthday. Luckily had called an hour earlier to confirm reservation. They apparently didn't have our open table reservations and de had to wait a bit to get seated despite there being seats available. We were seated at the table and server didn't come for 30 minutes until getting our drink order , then another 30 for appetizer, then didn't come for an hour to get our food order. One of the chair legs broke and one of the guests fell to the ground. We got a little of everything on the menu to try and the food was overpriced and just ok. Nothing special, just glorified Mexican food with no twist or good quality. Server got many of the food orders wrong. We brought our dogs outside, said she'd bring a food bowl and never did. We asked twice for this. Never picked up plates of appetizers or entrees . In 2.5 hrs there, only came once to give us water. When trying to order dessert, left quickly without being able to put order. She came over to pick up check without picking up plates and asked me to give her the check while we are still seated with all the mess on the table. She got paid 20% tip without doing or giving any good service since we we were a group of 7 and the tip was automatic. Yes, they were understaffed, but she could have given way better service. She was bad at her job and just didn't care. We complained to the manager and he was just like, oh sorry, nothing else. Well, sorry but won't be back and won't recommend to anyone. read more

I came here for the first time for a birthday dinner and decided to come a little early and sit at the bar. The bartender was super nice and the live band was awesome. Eventually got up and danced a little with my partner. We ordered some cocktails and the tacos which were really good. The steak tacos were my favorite, very flavorful and filling. The location is very pretty with the outdoor patio perfect for the fall once the bugs have calmed down. I would definitely come back for some more live entertainment and drinks. read more

This was my first visit, the outside looked inviting and was excited to eat some good food. To my disappointment, the customer service was lacking. We had two hostess and neither one was engaging... almost rude. We had a large party, so I get the amount of work required to accommodate that many customers however we did not come to have such a negative engagement in requesting order, questioning items on the menu, etc. Then the food came, I set low expectations and ordered tacos ... most of us did. The roasted chicken tacos were horrible. The stark taco was decent and the snapper taco the fish was dry and hard. Yuck! I wanted to try their brunch but highly unlikely I'll return. Such a disappointment as this was my first restaurant experience I had in over a year due to COVID-19. Also, no protocols in place nor did I see many wearing masks. Drinks were delicious, we each got a different type of margarita. We started with guacamole and their unusual chips. We each got different entrees.
