Food was great, customer service not bad. However, l am not sure why my Mojito was in a Mint Julip cup. I have never had it this way. It doesn't look like that on the advertisement. I feel cheated out of a few ounces and presentation. read more

I first found out about Mojito cafe first during work lunch. Since it is right down the street, now I go a lot more often with friends. Their mojitos and sangrias are AWESOME! I have never had better ones! They always remember us and make us feel welcome. It is family-owned, and they put a lot of care into the meals and service. My favorite is the lechon asado with the jalapeno house sauce, but everything on the menu is yummy. Some nights they have live music, and it is such an enjoyable atmosphere. A good place to go with a bunch of friends, or for a romantic dinner! Definitely get a sangria or mojito :-) read more

One of our go to spots in the neighborhood. Good Cuban food, good value, seldom too crowded. Service is prompt and attentive. My wife is Cuban and we ate there with a couple of Cuban friends last night and had a good experience with compliments all around. I had the Masas De Cerdo (Deep fried pork chunks over onion) the Lechon was also tasty. Best advice, if you don't like Cuban food don't go, and while I've had better in Miami and at my mother-in-law 's table it's a good experience. read more

Ordered for pickup without looking at a map first but was worth the trek. We ordered ropa vieja and picadillo. Although both were a bit on the greasy side, the flavor was spot on. Each dish came with the usual rice, black beans and plantains. Only thing missing was some Cuban bread. Very solid dinner! read more

I've never had Cuban so I do not have anything to compare it to but I LOVED IT and so did my husband! My friends had been here before and they love it too! I will try pretty much any restaurant but I don't choose just any old place to be a regular spot for me. I know what good food tastes like and this will be my go to place. Also they received an A on their last inspection. I do not eat from anywhere below an A and I prefer it to be a high A. My husband and I shared the appetizer sampler platter that had empanadas, tamal with pork, ham croquettes, chicken chunks, plantain chips, yucca fries and stuffed potato. We ordered a side of rice and beans as well. When I want to stay close to the house and know I will get great food I will go to Mojito's. read more

This restaurant is a real gem. I just found it today thanks to Groupon. I got the steak Palomilla and it was great. Very well seasoned and it was a great meal with the rice, black beans, and plantains. I also picked my kids up some chicken tenders which were obviously NOT from a frozen container. They were very thin and lightly breaded. I stole a bite when the kids weren't looking and it was very tasty. All in all, this was a great meal. I talked to the owner(manager?) for a couple minutes and he is a very friendly guy. I can't wait to come back to this place and try some of the other menu items. This was one of those situation that I just stumbled upon probably the best Cuban restaurant in Atlanta. Nestled in a strip shopping center that sits between Nesbit Ferry Rd and Old Alabama Rd, it doesn't stand out from the road but once you enter everything stands out. From the comfortable unpretentious ambiance of the dining room to the aroma of the fantastic Cuban fare sizzling in the back, you can almost feel the palm trees sway in a Caribbean breeze. So what do you write about first when reviewing this authentic Cuban cuisine palace. The absolutely to die for melt in your mouth Cuban Sandwich? Not at all, The Churrasco Steak with Chimichurri Sauce gets my vote. Your first time there you might opt for the Mojito Sensation Platter where you can get a sampling of their best beef, chicken, and shrimp! They offer live entertainment several nights per week but an event that is catching on in popularity at Mojito Cafe is the Salsa lessons every 3rd Saturday from 9pm to 1am. They are also an excellent choice for lunch. Ask for Al when you go, he is genuine in appreciating your choice of his establishment for your enjoyment. His staff is friendly and there to serve. My wife and I were in the area shopping for Christmas and googled nearby "Gluten Free" menus. Mojito Cafe showed up. We go in and ask the kid working the door about the Gluten free menu and it's obvious that he has never heard the word gluten before. So we are seated and soon after greeted by who appears to be the manager. He told us that the host said we were interested in the Gluten Free items. We advised him that we were and that my wife has a gluten allergy and cannot have it at all. He rambled on about the different kinds of meat they serve and what comes with them. My wife asked if they were gluten free and told him that she was highly allergic to it and could not have anything containing it. He stated that everything would be fine, order what she wants and he would let the kitchen know to make it gluten free. I told him it was real important that they do not contaminate her food with gluten. He told us it would be fine because it just contains small amounts of gluten. I had to explain to him that "small amounts of gluten" were not acceptable because she is allergic to gluten. He walked away and we were skeptical. Our waitress shows up. We explain to her the same thing we just went through with the manager. She suggests ordering a plate of food and she would tell the kitchen that it needs to be gluten free. My wife explains to her that this is an allergy not a preference. The waitress proceeds to tell us "she knows", she is allergic to gluten and takes medicine for it. My wife said, "oh really, your allergic to gluten and you take medicine for it?" There is no medicine to take, you just don't consume it. The waitress tried to bullshit her way out of it and we decided it was best to leave. Even though we can't review the food, I wanted to post this for those of you who have a gluten allergy. This is just another restaurant that does not know or care to know the complexities of a gluten allergy. read more

This is a great representation of Cuban food, coming from someone who spent a bit of time in the Miami area and whose significant other comes from the island of the great Havana Club rum, cigars, salsa, and the Van Van. I have been here on several occasions, especially when we lived closer. The ropa vieja is great, as well as the palomilla and vaca frita. If you are starving and/or are going with a huge group, do yourself a favor and order the Bandeja Mojito (the sampler platter). OMG... Amazing tamal, fried yuca, mariquitas (thinly sliced fried plaintain), papa rellena (stuffed potato ball), and chicharrones de pollo (fried chicken chunks). Oh wait, and don't forget the empanadas. I'm drooling just thinking of this place. The service is excellent and every single time that I've gone, I've been treated with great warmth. Great food prepared with great care and skill! Agree with all the 5 star reviews! This place is a gem. Consistent quality, incredible flavor profiles, friendly staff that really do know their menu and care about their customer needs, great drinks, and really good prices - how can it get any better than that!!! We've eaten here about 6 times and have never been disappointed. Although we keep saying we are going to try all the different items on the menu, I admit that I am addicted to the Churrasco platter with the special jalapeno sauce! My wife has had the Lechon Asado platter a number of times and loves it. As funny as it sounds, the beans here are the BEST in the world! You have to try them to believe them and they are completely vegetarian. I am not a big plantain lover, but these are about as good as it gets. But even more than that, this is a restaurant with a staff that understands things like gluten allergies and goes out of their way to help their customers with menu suggestions and advice. We dined at this restaurant on Wed., April 10.....a 3 hour lunch, celebrating a birthday! I had a $25 restaurant.com certificate (minimum purchase of $50 and not valid for Fri., Sat., Sun.) Meeting the $50 requirement was no problem as we started with a $20 appetizer sampler!!! We also had several drinks (Mojitos and wine), ONE lunch entree, desserts, coffee, etc. Our bill came to $68. After surrendering the certificate, the owner/manager came to the table, with menu in hand, to physically 'point out' a notation on the menu "no discounts with lunch entrees". Well, we only had ONE lunch entree and it was $9......thus, the "eligible" amount became $59!!! I did not want to spoil the mood of our lunch by arguing with him so I 'let it go'. DO NOT dine at this restaurant if you want to use a restaurant.com certificate.......they do not honor them. Ironically, our single "lunch entree" was a Baby Churrasco. I requested that it be cooked medium-rare. Not until it was served to me did the waitress announce that they are not "allowed" to cook it less than 'medium'. However, when I cut into it and ate the first bite, it was cooked VERY well-done. I took it home in a doggie-bag to give it to my dog for dinner. In retrospect, I should have returned it to the kitchen. By the way, there was only one other couple dining there.....the restaurant was empty. And, I think I know why.......... read more

AWFUL service! I love cuban sandwiches, this one was okay not great- should invest in a really potato french fry maker. Potatoes are very inexpensive to purchase and a significant sandwich and fries would have been more impressive for a first impression. Presentation was like a fast food restaurant, sandwich was a little greasy and the fries nearly slipped off the plate when slid on the table. Very disappointing will not be back. read more

Mojitos - 5 stars, for sure! Food - 3 stars. Although the Cuban sandwhich tasted good, it was extremely thin - it seemed like the chef was being cheap with the meat. Likewise with the plantain encrused fish, it tasted good, but that was the thinnest fish fillet I have ever seen. read more

this is some of the best food I ever had in my entire life. My boss (who lived in miami and has seriously high standards for cuban food) and I got the baby churrasco and we can't stop talking about how good it was. It was the perfect amount of food for lunch; I'm so full but not to the point of being uncomfortable. the meat was so tender and the green sauce that came with it was insanely flavorful. Cuban sandwich is not what you would expect in Tampa and Miami. Not toasted. The taste is just not there. I ordered four plates to go and only got ONE little cup of green hot sauce. The chicken fillet is thin and long. No meat. The French fry serving is huge and they taste bad, while the plantain is small. Not going back.
