Went here because it was the only place open during a snow storm and I would not go back. They were out of avocados and guac, and even if they weren't, the food wouldn't have been good. I got served glorified chips and salsa in a feed bucket and the chips were soggy and stale and the salsa was flavorless and watery. This used to be our favorite place in Ludlow. They were closed for a bit between fall leaf season and winter skiing and just reopened with some changes for the worse. The menu has changed taking off some of our favorites, you can no longer get a quesadilla which bummed out one of my kids. They added hotdogs and chicken fingers to the kids menu, which seem out of place in a restaurant that sells burritos and Po'boys, and we liked in the past that they had a kids menu that went beyond chicken fingers and hot dogs. The recipes seemed to have changed for some of the other food that is still on the menu, and not for the better. Also they used to give you food on plates or metal trays and half our food came in paper containers. read more

Cool atmosphere, solid chow. We are only in town for a few days, so we stayed close to the hotel for food. I got the chicken enchilada, my fiancée got the catfish tacos. Atmosphere is different, but in a good way, has a cool vibe to it. Food came quicker than expected and both dishes hit the spot. Flavors were on point and portions were good. The only gripe between the two was she said her fish tacos were salty (and she usually piles on the salt) but it's not enough of a complaint to matter to me. Cold brewed NOLA coffee could be in a great coffee shop. Best tortillas I've had north of the Red River, properly handled. Skip the alligator if you don't like SPICY. Great place. Specials and standards alike are very well done and flavorful. Not overly spicy, unless you add on from the hot sauce selection. Steak enchilada with mojito slaw is my go to. Chili is awesome, although seasonal. Actually most dishes with the smoked andouille are pretty great. Decent rotating craft beer and cider selection. This place has super laid back vibes with good food! Orders are taken at the counter and brought to your table. My husband tackled their awesome beer selection, though I wish there were more cider options since beer really isn't my jam. I had two Thai Juan Ahn Shrimp tacos and would go back just to eat them again! The amount of heat in them was pleasantly surprising -- SO much yummy flavor for my asian taste buds. I was given a warning about how spicy they were, but didn't quite believe it because when I'm told something is spicy.. it usually isn't at all. One of the coolest decorated places I've been. From the heavy metal fork in the logo, to the yellow lines on the road and the amp style facade on the bar, this place looks cool. However the food is really good. We got a steak burrito, steak, veggie, fish, chicken and pork taco. Although I found the chicken a little bland all others were excellent and the steak may have been the best taco I've ever had. My better half and I ate here on a two-day vacation in VT and the food was fabulous. We had the soup of the day and the taco combo (lobster and pulled pork). Washed it down with some local brews -- a perfect early fall evening to chase away the chill in the air. Would have given it four stars but for the somewhat spare decor (it's an urban roadhouse sort of feel) and slightly aloof service but really it was all part of the charm. Mojo is a great place for a fairly quick lunch or dinner. They have a varied menu which I find a bit expensive, but I don't mind paying a bit more knowing they serve fresh, local ingredients. This low key place has simple, amazing food with a Tex-Mex flair. It's an order and pay at the counter, they bring it to you place. Everything tasted farmer's market fresh. I had the steak and cheese po'boy, my friend had a tomato and avocado salad and two tacos. They suggest 1 taco as an app, 2-3 as a main. Nice vibe. Walk up to the counter and order and they bring the food to the table. Modern take on the usual Mexican fare - for example lobster burrito (we didn't have that). My husband and I shared a "local greens" salad with shrimp. The shrimp were small and rubbery. There were a few what i would consider greens over mostly shredded cabbage. But then again the salad was only $5 plus extra for the shrimp. We each had a selection of tacos which were good but as a for instance the tofu taco was dry. We ventured to Mojo for a week night dinner. The food was tasty. I had the bean burrito. The Rojo Sauce is GREAT! I really enjoyed my entree. I like the chips and guac, but was not a fan of the "DIY" nachos. I suggest offering regular nachos too! : ) The only reason I am not going with 4 stars is because it was SO cold inside. Very yummy and pretty authentic Mexican food. The interior is very fun and inviting, the menu is a massive mural behind the counter. I ordered the quesadilla with pineapple. It was cheesy, melty, stretchy, salty and just the right amount of sweet from the pineapple. We also got guac, chips and salsa that were yummy. The range of tacos is also amazing. My friends got the shrimp and tofu tacos. The tequila tofu taco was so so good. Such an interesting take on spicing up tofu. Will definitely be back for a good meal! Just had lunch today, I had the taco salad and my SO had a chicken confeit quesadilla. The only downside is that our food took forever....large volume (due to the skiers) and minimal chefs working. BUT the good was amazing. Awesome spin on a taco salad....with cabbage slaw with a Mexican twist on it. Also loved that it wasn't in a shell! OK, food was good to very good that's not the problem so here goes: 1) Seating is very limited. If you are 1 or 2, go sit at the bar but if you are even 4, they have very limited seating for any kind of groups. The restaurant is very narrow. Not big enough to even put tables together which were mostly for two. 2) Beer on tap need more variety. I had the Lagunita's IPA (CA) and some Southern Tier IPA (NY). I know this is a matter of taste but COME ON! there are a lot of Vermont microbrews that make very high quality IPAs. Start clamoring for Heady Topper in Waterbury, VT and I'll be a customer for life! But at $8 beer, thats a bit much (this is Ludlow not Boston) 3) Food: I had a steak enchilada and while I admit, I'm a bit of a wimp, the sauce had me wiping the sweat away. Food was awesome ! Highly recommend the chips, salsa and queso to start! My husband and I both had burritos that were delicious. They have a wide variety of beers but we were lucky enough to score some of the Alchemist Heady Toppers they had on hand which was a great surprise for us beer lovers ! So I didn't love what I ordered (shrimp quesadillas) but I know enough to rate a restaurant on everything. They were super helpful and accommodating to our party of 9 on a busy Thursday evening, even offering us the choice of a couple different tables since we had a baby on board. I love this place! I work in NYC and love to eat ... And I would put MOJO up against any Mexican restaurant in the five boroughs. Really fresh food, creative combinations and a great selection of draught beers. Not a fancy place ... You order at the counter. .... But the food is AMAZING! It's fun to sit at the bar and watch them prepare the food (and you will appreciate all the chopping and slicing of fresh vegetables). Don't expect the cooks to smile or chat ... that is apparently not in the job description. But we are OK with that ... They are busy turning out delicious, fresh and creative dishes. The decor and wide view into the slightly messy kitchen are not an immediate draw, but don't let that scare you away (it almost did for us). The food was very good and very reasonably priced. The taco salad with cabbage slaw was creative and delicious. Only thing we weren't crazy about was slightly browned guacamole. Beef burrito was excellent as was lamb gumbo. The bread pudding dessert was excellent. On the cons side, the place was quite empty but they staff didn't bus the tables, which would have been nice given that we had given a full tip at the register. read more

Restaurant is immaculate, very eclectic and most important the food is fantastic. The staff is very accommodating and work together like a well oiled machine. Mojo's is a great place for lunch on busy weekends. We went for MLK weekend and found the service fast, the food good and the crowds minimal. We ordered the chicken tacos and the chicken burrito. I think the only thing missing would be tortilla chips. The tacos are somewhat small and it would be great to include a side of tortilla chips or something along with every meal and not as an extra charge. The burrito was wonderful, but again it would be great to eat some of it with crunchy tortillas. read more

Mojo Cafe certainly delivered! Everything was fresh and delicious. The staff was helpful and friendly. I had the catfish tacos which were so big they fell apart by the last bite. All of the portions are large even the kids meals. Both my boys loved the kids chicken tacos and chicken burrito. The chicken is shredded and melts in your mouth. My husband had the chicken & mole tacos and the mole was full of flavor. We are definitely going back before our vacation week is up. If you are skiing at Okemo or even in a 30 mile radius, you must go to MOJO! My next choice will be the Shrimp Po'boy which the chef on our way out said is "the cadillac on the menu."
