Came up to Okemo for opening day with my grandfather. We popped in for lunch once that pesky R word started falling from the sky. Bar was full which is where we wanted to sit because my one of the bartenders was a friend of the family. I ordered a chowder in a bread bowl. Chowder was delicious, bread took an effort to eat. Once I got to the bottom it was equally as good. Overall it was tasty. Upper management in general today really botched opening day. Ticket sales were confused with the whole epic pass deal, the computer systems in the bar was not updated with what was being sold here which made the checkout process slow. read more

Big selection of drinks here! We got the hot cocoas with baileys and whiskey, a couple beers, and one of the spiked ciders. They definitely don't go light on the liquor pours here. As for the food, good wings, can't go wrong with chicken tenders, and not a fan of the nachos at all. The chips were crumby, the cheese was totally undistributed and hard, and overall just not good. But then again, you go to places like this for the atmosphere and the drinks so just know what to expect. It's also super packed so good luck finding a table if you're with a group! read more

When we came to Okemo for some skiing and snowboarding, and of course we got hungry, so we checked out Sitting Bull. This place is a staple of the mountain, and it a great place to grab a drink or some fuel for all the snow time. We had multiple meals and stops for drinks, and the staff is friendly and attentive. During the luch rush it does get busy, but they do their best to get everyone in as soon as possible. I definitely recommend making a reservation because they do honor them first. There is a decent beer list, and their food is tasty. I recommend the nachos, which are HUGE, and the paninis. read more

It is a great place to take a break from the slopes. The service and vibe were good. It has a nice view of the slopes. The spiked hot cider is really good. Actually all of the spiked drinks looked really good. The food was pretty good but nothing spectacular. I got a burger and it was about what I expected. The fries were excellent. read more

Is this gourmet ski food? No. But it is my preferred place to eat on the mountain because it does the basics pretty well. First they give you a pitcher of water to start to rehydrate. Win. Then the food. I love the cheesesteak with fries. And the steak chili is as good as it gets. If you have to try one thing, it'd be that. A hearty chili to warm you up. Some of the other dishes may be a little too packaged for some. But I'm not looking for fancy. I'm looking for ski food. Then the drinks. Great bar with good local beers on tap. Have an IPA til your hearts content. Service is hectic but I've always found staff quite friendly. You should get in and out fairly quick too. read more

don't get me started on the vailification of Okemo.. It was cute to see the ambassadors and instructors in the familiar uniforms I am used to at the western Vail resorts. At lunch I went to the Sitting Bull (Sitdown restaurant) in the Okemo Base lodge. I was craving my taco salad. An actual salad that sits in a fresh out of the fryer homemade corn tortilla bowl, a bed fo greens in it with corn, black beans, tortilla strips, some guac, some salsa, and other items I can't remember. This year, the tortilla shell is a soft flour baked hardshell that clearly came out of a box, the "salad" was a bed of greens that the shell sat on and the bowl was filled with salsa guac and other items that looked like they all came out of a can. so thank you Adam Katz and vail you ruined the experience. It's the experience that skiing is supposed to be. How do you have actually very good food in Two Elk and all other Vail lodges out west but allow such garbage to be served in your re-vamped base lodge at your newly acquired property? #gladIalsohaveanikonpass read more

20/21 season COVID Ops. We have a home on mtn and have been going to Sitting Bull for yrs. Diners beware. Everything is now pre-made, only wine/beer and 30 min to order AND eat. I am a vegan so I went specifically to try new grain bowls. Only 1 person can go up to counter to order so my husband ordered with no chicken or cheese and they will NOT make fresh. Your only vegan options are French fries and they do have cauliflower bites. He still got me the bowl because he thought I could pick out the meat and cheese. Not possible the cheese was just Parmesan and mixed throughout. After a few bites into a disgusting cold rice bowl the hostess already came over to tell us our time was up. We had to pick up everything and finish outside. Horrible. All plastic. Nowhere to dine on mountain now. You can do better Okemo. read more

It wasn't terrible, but it just wasn't good. What do you really expect...ski lodge food and not the cafeteria, but a sit-down restaurant. We sat at the bar, which may have led to slightly better service...slightly. We were able to get some service relatively fast...the bartender was right there. We ordered their "famous fries", which were actually good. The only thing we finished. And then we got their spicy chicken tenders and their regular tenders. I'd go with the regular tenders over their spicy tenders (try sauce is their version of a buffalo...kind of). It was all just a bit on the salty side. Next time...I might just go for Waffle Cabin. That smelled delicious but we were too full and had too little time before the bus was going to leave...and it had started to snow. read more

It was not good at all. Two of us ordered the chicken sandwich. The chicken was so dry. The bun may have been stale since it completely fell apart as soon as we bit in. Halfway through we both bagged the sandwich and ordered the chicken fingers, which were equally as gross. Two other friends had the taco salad, which they described as lackluster. If you like pre-made frozen food then this is the place for you. If every other place to eat on the mountain to eat was closed I think I would wait until I was done skiing to get food somewhere else. read more

Good for beers after skiing. The food? In a word: vile. Not only is this gross, poorly executed and unoriginal food expensive, it tastes terrible. The taco salad is a bowl of chili with a few soggy lettuce leaves underneath it all. It felt like uncovering an unwanted surprise. The fries are gross. The real salads are overdressed and soggy. And it was recommended to avoid anything chicken on the menu. Run. Don't walk. And find somewhere else to eat. read more

Always busy at the end of the day after skiing. Best thing to do is send someone in a save seats. The food is fine for a ski lodge but nothing amazing. We usually order the nachos and drinks to share. It is nice when they have bands playing so you can relax with a drink after a long day on the slopes! read more

The Sitting Bull Lodge was a favorite of mine for decades. It always had great food and service, but my last 3 experiences there have been terrible. During the Torch Light parade they were grossly under staffed and by the time I got to the bar they had "closed" and the bartender was very rude even though I told her how long I waited and that it was my birthday. Still, I came back for nachos which were cold and soggy. Still, one more time came back giving it yet, another chance for nostalgia reasons. Waited 15 minutes to get a beer and when I pointed out another couple who had been waiting desparate for the barender Wendy's attention she told me and I quote "I really do not give a rats ass who's waiting right now". So Wendy - I was just trying to help you out, so ummmmm, you're welcome. So sad the Sitting Bull is no longer a great place to go. Two thumbs down...... read more

Best lunch at okemo. Great service. Amazing food. Might be the best French fries I ever had.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. WALKED out TWICE. Stay AWAY from waitress FELICIA. I've been going here for years and this past time, their customer service has tanked! The first day, our waitress Felicia refused to serve us drinks, was SO RUDE with a major ATTITUDE, didn't know what "light and sweet" coffee was, and tried to get one of the kids to sign her bill so she got a tip. She also lied about having a to-go lid; another waitress nicely grabbed one for us. And Trying to reason with the manager was useless!! Then again, the next day, it took twenty min for a waiter to come to be table, then another HALF HOUR for the waiter to tell is the order hadn't been put in yet! We ended up WALKING OUT at 5. We got there at 345. AWFUL SERVICE, the only reason I'm giving it two stars is bc the food is decent and drinks are good, but after WAITING an HOUR and NOT getting a single DRINK I'd say BRING YOUR OWN DRINKS AT THE END OF THE DAY!!! read more
