The food was delicious as well as the service! A few in our party had to eat gluten-free and we were advised as to what was safe and what wasn't. So, seeing all the folks hanging outside here, we did a quick pull in, & we were delighted. The margaritas were phenomenal (no, that did not influence this review like you're thinking) but the service was tops! Then, the tacos are SO not your normal tacos! OMG, every single one we tried was seasoned so differently; the flavor, the presentation, oh my! If i were YOU, heading up to Rocky Mountain NP, where there are ONLY tourist restaurants serving fast food, I would definitely STOP HERE!!! We came across this restaurant on our way to Estes Park, and were blown away with the quality and flavors of all the dishes. We are originally from Texas, and have high standards for Mexican. This place destroys most of our favorites in Texas. From the amazing salsas and yuca, to the salads, tacos, and desserts, everything was a 10. We enjoyed it so much that we returned for dinner a few nights later. The staff in each instance was friendly and attentive, and the price for the quality was a bargain. This restaurant has amazing food! We stopped here for lunch on our way back from Estes Park. My family ordered chips and salsa and it was yummy! I ordered a steak burrito w/red sauce and surprised at how big it was. I can't eat spicy food due to stomach issues, but forgot to tell the waiter. When I started eating my burrito I bit into a piece of jalapeño and my mouth was on fire. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat anymore. Our waiter, Camden, asked why I wasn't eating and I told him it was too spicy. He was so nice that he went to the kitchen and told the chef to make me a new burrito without any spice or pico de Gallo. He wanted to make sure I left Happy! Loved this place. Super good unique tacos. I had three different ones, a butternut squash taco, pulled pork and I think a mostly avocado one. All were super delicious. Chips and salsa are very good. Wanted to try this place last time we drove through but ended up skipping it. That was a mistake. This place has amazing food and the salsa is awesome! They were out of 2 of my choices for tacos but the ones I ended up with were delicious. I just wish I could eat more so I could've tried the rest of them. I stopped in for lunch on the way to Estes Park. What a magnificent surprise. The salsas we got with the chips were unique and flavorful. We had mango-habanero, dos chiles and avocado-tomatillo. The fantastic server brought us her favorite to try, the jalapeño, and it was also great. We both had carnitas burritos smothered in green sauce and it was among the best burritos I've ever had. Giving them another six weeks we tried Mojo again. Excellent! Great flavor for all starting with the chips and salsa! Everyone enjoyed their tacos and was quite surprised by extra tacos because Mojo believed we hadn't been served the right ingredients. Great! On the minus was the margs. This is a super cute, well laid out, casual and airy restaurant and we got in just before closing. The waitress wasn't put off by our late arrival as long as we got our dinner order in by 9pm. We started off with a glass of red wine for one of the diners and a blood orange margarita for the other. The rest opted for water. The menu is hard to pick from because everything sounds interesting and delicious. Even a Korean inspired taco. They offer a two or three taco combo with rice and beans or ala carte. Beans are a choice of black beans and beans that had been cooked with I believe a little fatback, I can't quite remember what she said. I tried both and I have to say I preferred the black beans. The rice was not like traditional Spanish rice as it had no tomato or very little. It had not been friend well. Probably healthier. All the tacos were fabulous and I had a hard time remembering which taco was which but the Korean/kal bi taco was out of this word. The grilled fish was delicious too but broke apart in my hand as the fish was runny with sauce or juice. 'Service was very pleasant and our waitress was attentive but not hovering. 'Having no room for desserts as usual, we skipped that menu. We had take home boxes for tomorrow's lunch and everyone left in a good mood. We did happen to be the last to leave but never did they cause us to feel like we were intruding on their closing procedures which were going on around us... like filling salt shakers and such. Lyons is an easy town to navigate and it's on the right side of the road if you're heading west into Lyons. There is a small parking lot in front. Go here, you'll like it. There's more than just tacos too... burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, appetizers, soups, salads and more. Prices are in the $4-5 for 1 taco to $20 range. read more

So grateful to the friend who tipped us off about this gem in Lyons!!! It's a bit of a drive for us, but worth it! This is hands-down the best Mexican restaurant in the Lyons, Boulder and Longmont areas. Mojo's food has been consistently outstanding. Their service has been consistently outstanding. We also love their "open air" atmosphere on warm, sunny days. Even more impressive, the owner (who'd never seen us before) stopped by our table to say hello ask us if we were happy with everything and if there was anything he could do for us. Thoughtful owners of small, local businesses get BIG gold stars from us! The tacos were in general very hot. I think a lot of their salsa has chopped up jalapeño peppers rather than Serano peppers. Other than that, the food was excellent. The churros were as good as anything I've had in Colorado. Innovative drink menu, assuming you like tequila. read more

Went today with a couple friends after hiking Estes. It was after the lunch rush and it was not busy at all. The food was great that's why I have given them 2 stars. The problem was the service. It took more than 15 minutes for our drinks. She then forgot that we ordered chips and salsa for appetizers. She didn't even apologize for forgetting our appetizer. Our entrees came in after awhile and one order was wrong. She checked once if we need anything after getting our food for the first 5 minutes and never came back or refilled our water. The food was good though and the esthetic was cute. If you don't mind waiting for your food I'd recommend this restaurant . read more

Food- needs more seasoning, even basic salt and pepper. We ordered Guac- and it was an avocado- with pico on top. Chips were good. Ceviche needs more spices and to be served with more then 2 plantains. We did only have happy hour - and chose to not stay b/c we were disappointed. I will admit I am a little jealous that Lyons has this place and not Denver. The food was great (we sampled several options), drinks delicious and the service even better (if that is possible). The hostess is quick to greet you, seat you and everyone is very helpful to each other it seems. A very nice gentleman checked in on us several times if it seemed we needed something (or even if we didn't). I am guessing he is the owner. He seems truly invested in his restaurant and doting on his customers. When I am in Lyons again I will certainly be back here without a doubt! read more

I have been to Mojo's several times. I have had the tacos w/ flour tortillias, they have been delicious. My husband had the corn tortillas, which were much smaller but delicious. My last visit I had the homemade chorizo taco, delicious. Our favorite drink is the Reposado + Richardo's - Decaf Coffee Liqueur. Mojo's has great prices, new décor and outdoor seating! read more
