This is one of our favorite lunch spots in Troy. The food is tasty and they have some great tap beers. I highly recommend the Monty Cristo and fries. The beer cheese is pretty good, too, but I thought the Scotch eggs were over cooked. The decor is classy, traditional pub but I feel lacks that cozy factor. Lunch? Sure. Long night out drinking? Mojo's has a trendy, inviting vibe, from the décor to the wait staff and music. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. We arrived a bit before 6 on a Saturday, and were the only people sitting in the dining area. Nice and quiet--good music playing at a reasonable level (Psych Furs, David Bowie, White Stripes). Started with the nachos, which are fabulous. The salsa is great, the chicken slightly sweet, and the corn is crispy, sweet, and makes the dish. I want si find if the side order of beans. They have a smoky flavor that gets old after a few bites. The parmesan shavings are too large to really enjoy with the beans, and the roasted garlic are whole garlic cloves on the side, of varying "doneness," ranging from mushy to just right. Though the smoky flavor didn't with with three brand, it was dot on with the cheese quesadillas. These were packed with cheese, and I recommend sharing. The aioli has some kick, but the flavor is awesome. It's also served with salsa. Great beer and mixed drink selections if that's how you like to start, or end, your meal or evening. Enjoy! read more

I was quite pleasantly surprised with Mojos Bar & Grille. 3 of us showed up at about 6:30 on a Saturday night. There were quite a few people in the place already but still plenty of tables available. It quickly filled up with people waiting at the door after we arrived. Service was quick and friendly. Our waiter knew their craft beer menu well and had some great suggestions. We ordered an appetizer of beer cheese which came out very hot. Lots of good flavor. I ordered the pastrami on rye with no slaw. It also came out hot and with great flavor. All around great place. Lovely atmosphere, great service, hot food, excellent craft beer selection. I will be back again soon! read more

The smell of used cat litter punches you in the face. But didn't have time to choose another location. Ordered the roast beef sandwich, it was a grilled sandwich which ruined the the taste of the good cracked wheat bread. There was also too much onion used so that was the only overpowering flavor that made it through. Service was adequate but don't hold your breath on a refill. read more

Was enjoying the companionship of about 40 co-workers on a Friday evening. We were all purchasing food and drinks but standing in their dining area - basically "mingling". One of their male staff approached the group several times insisting we take our group into the already small but busy bar area. Obviously that would have not worked, 10 pounds of potatoes in a 2 pound bag scenario. We all ended up leaving and very disappointed. They were willing to let 40 paying patrons walk out, vowing to never return in lieu of 6 patrons upset we were having a good time. I will never return, totally unacceptable. read more

Don't waste your time or money. Nachos are not plentiful as reported by others. It is barely adequate for two. Very skimpy on the toppings. Had the portables sandwich. Mushroom was about half the size of the bun. Chips were burnt. And to top it off, the service was worst part. The barmaid was running bar and all the tables. Apparently the neighborhood bars are not a refuge from $7 beers during Gentlemen of the Road. However, great atmosphere. Had the occasion to stop in while in town for the Troy Stopover. Despite being packed and at least two-deep at the bar, the staff was attentive and fast... a well-oiled machine, really. read more

This is a great bar in downtown Troy. Their drink selection is absolutely amazing, and I love that they offer seasonal beverages. The servers and bartenders are always so nice and friendly. The only issue I have is the pricing of some of the food items, but for the atmosphere I think it's worth it. The menu has expanded since my last visit. The nachos are absolutely amazing and come in a massive serving. My favorite is the strawberry mojito. It's a great stop if you're looking for a local, unique bar. read more

Went to Troy to try a new location. First stop at this local bar and grille. Limited menu but the food was excellent. Had the fresh cut beer cheese fries and they were delicious. we got the cheese on the side which was a good choice because it kept the fries crispy and allowed you to dip what you wanted. we both had a salad with grilled chicken and they were fresh and the chicken was not overcooked. service was good and the wait, however a little long, was worth it because the items are prepared fresh and to order. One minor suggestion , the lighting was very bright and could be dimmed slightly. We will be back. read more

We came in today and found this gem off of Yelp. My husband and I were pleasantly greeted by Tony who knew the menu very well and instantly made us our drinks. The buffalo goat cheese balls were a great appetizer, as suggested. I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich and my husband had the Ruben both were prepared to perfection and the spicy aioli sauce went well with the kettle chips and fries! Overall I wouldn't change anything about this place. If you're looking for some good drinks and superior eats than your typical "bar & grill" food then this is the place to go. The house chips are a must! The spicy aioli with the sweetness of the crunchy chips were a perfect combination. The service was also exceptional. I don't believe I caught her name, but the bartender knew it was our first time here and gave us perfect recommendations and let us sample the oils for our house cut fries... we will definitely be back. read more

My husband and I decided to try this place on a Saturday afternoon. It took more than 10 minutes for the bartender to acknowledge us and it was not that busy. The draft selection on the menu did not match any of the available beers and was limited to 4. We ordered the scotch egg appetizer and regretted it as one egg was green and the sausage tasted expired. The atmosphere was decent although hanging lights from the bar blocked tvs. We like to see local places succeed, so hope they can improve things. read more

I think they are taking the whole beer snob thing a wee bit too far. The whole "hipster vibe" is over, and un not sure why this place still hangs on to it, and its overpriced to boot. Come here maybe 1-2 times/month. First time here was spectacular! That being said-we have noticed a bit of a "slide" in the quality and attention to detail over the subsequent visits. We would love to see a menu change up very so often...getting kind of stale. We do love the Buffalo goat cheese-but since the first time the pretzels are barely if at all toasted so it's like eating soggy bread with the cheese :(. Also-have noted old lettuce in the salads. Again, not enough to not have me try it again but maybe someone will see this and say something to them? Btw-cocktails are good, servers are nice and friendly and I think the price point is decent. read more

Horrible service. The gm lacked any personality and knowledge of the products they sell. Even saw her google beers in order to tell me what was in them. Couldnt even tell me about the food. The bar menu looked like a rip off of a tgif. There used to be a male chef there who could really cook, sadly he is gone too. Other than one male bartender there isnt anything else worth going there for. Im not a guinea pig for people to learn on the job on. I expect professionals to handle my families food. read more
