Filet mignon and mashed potatoes with Mormon gravy

We had a great experience! Molly's is the cutest lodge! I absolutely loved the history and how sentimental the place was. I loved reading more about Molly and seeing all of the photographs up! The staff were so friendly and helpful! Their service absolutely sets them apart, so impressed! The food was phenomenal! My filet was so tender and flavorful and I loved the mashed potatoes and Mormon gravy! My husband ordered the pasta special and it was so good! The tomato jalapeño bisque was one of the best soups I've ever had! The rye bread is so hearty and soft! Everything was delicious! We cannot wait to go back!

This is the cutest little lodge and has amazing history behind it. The service is excellent as well! At first I was a little surprised at their limited menu... but here's the thing... they do it well. I actually realized I preferred that.. if you can nail the items you do offer... so worth it. We got the French Dip sandwich (side of horseradish and au jous), chicken sandwich, hamburger, cheeseburger, chicken tenders and fries, and the special soup of the day - beef stew. Ok, guys, the beef stew... I'm going to be dreaming about it. It has their prime rib and drippings in it and thr flavor is amazing. We got one cup and my family helped me eat it so I got a second cup. Everything was delicious. One of my sons got the chicken sandwich with coleslaw. Coleslaw is so hit or miss... but this was a hit. There wasn't anything we didnt enjoy. The chicken was a nice thick cut, had amazing seasoning in the breading and was perfectly fried. The hamburgers I got medium and they were also cooked well. I would highly recommend this place. I think I'll be dreaming of that stew...

Bread, salad & beer - all delicious, forgot to take photo of the trout/mashed potatoes, that was phenomenal!

Molly Butler is the oldest lodge in Arizona and was cool to experience this place a little after I got into town. After a short stroll of the Butler Canyon nature trail, I came in here to check it out. I initially sat at the bar and the bartender told me to go register myself with the hostess. She said put your name down, have a drink and when we're ready, you can order some dinner. Interesting way to set up customers but no complaints at all. This is a beautiful lodge and restaurant and this is a must see when in town. It sits high on Main Street and if you snag a table outside, you can see a lot going on in town and you face just a beautiful high mountain AZ backdrop. Waitress/bartender was super kind to me and took good care of me. I had a Pinetop Brewing Co blonde and that was delicious! For dinner, I ordered the almondine trout which came with salad, bread, and your choice of a side, so I had mashed potatoes. Everything was made to perfection and the trout was soo good! I also sat down in the bar area next to some really nice folks also from Phoenix and they gave me the scoop on everything to do in town! They told me it was Greer Days, so got the whole weekend itinerary. They were just lovely! Overall, a really lovely meal here and will definitely come back when I am in town again. I also loved a sign they had on the wall, "absolutely no debating politics or religion at the bar." I couldn't agree more, at the bar or anywhere!

    Thanks

My family spent Thanksgiving 2025 at Molly Butler's. The restaurant is warm inviting decorated beautifully. The staff was above and beyond. They just redid their bar with a pool table and Photo Booth and it is a lot of fun. I can't recommend going here for Thanksgiving if you ever are in the area. Based on how good the Thanksgiving food was, I would love to come back to try their burger and chili.

We are there on a Friday and Saturday night, they were busy but staff was working hard. First night we did not have a reservation so we waited an hour for two but we were still able to get drinks and wait inside or on the porch. Highly recommend you making reservations. The food was really good. We shared the mink burger and it came with fries, a loaf of bread and a salad (I think you could choose different sides). It was a lot of food but soooooo good. Also the martini was good.

This little town restaurant has so much history and charm. The inside was cozy and the service was great. The soup was the perfect ratio of beef, barley, and veggies. I only wished they served it with some kind of bread. We also got the coffee from the downstairs coffee shop. I got a Vanilla chai with espresso and my friend got a cinnamon/honey latte. Both drinks were delicious and the barista was so welcoming and kind.

We stopped in here for a quick bite to eat. Upon being seated we're were advised that many of the items on the menu were not available. We decided on the special to be safe. I would say it was just basic with the pulled pork sandwich. Drinks were small and watered down. They sat us in the sun even with available seating across from us. Most people strategically placed in view of the road to appear more busy of a place than it was.. I would go back it just wasn't anything special

Molly Butler Lodge Restaurant was a solid pick during our stay in Greer. The food was all-around good and reasonably priced. The ambiance felt fitting for the area--rustic, wooden, and cozy. Everything was clean, including the bathrooms, and while we didn't pop into the bar, it seemed like people were enjoying themselves there. Our server, Jayln, was friendly and helpful. We didn't have too many questions, but for the few we asked, she was quick and knowledgeable with her answers. Parking wasn't tricky--there are a handful of spots right in front of the building, which made things easy. Food-wise, I had the fish and chips--about what I expected. The fries were fine, typical shoestring style. My wife had the rainbow trout almondine, which she liked--good portion, nicely done. Mashed potatoes were also fine, nothing special, but solid. We skipped the gravy since we don't eat meat aside from fish. Others in our group got the sirloin steak and the "Hot Dang" chili. Heard the chili was spicier than expected but still enjoyable. The steak was reported as somewhere between good and standard. Vegetarians should know there are a few starters that work, but mains are limited. That said, it's one of the nicer dinner spots in Greer and can still pass as a casual sit-down place. Worth checking out if you're in the area.

Pls make a reservation to avoid long wait times! Okay first time in Greer, we were looking for dinner so decided to give Molly a try. Honestly there were like 3/4 restaurants around and 2 were closed. We put our name down and waited for an hour to get a table. In the meantime we went for a walk. Mind you this place alone feeds the entire cabin community in Greer so pls expect long wait time or make a reservation early. After we got seated it took another 15 mins to get our server take our orders. We got 2 glass of wine with Southwest Pasta and Charred Salmon. The food was served with complimentary house bread and Shamrock Butter. The salmon was so good and we chose pilaf rice as a side and a cup of chicken tortilla soup. Next the pasta was cooked perfectly with sausage and veggies! Overall decent meal considering the remote location. The restaurant gives old country diner vibe with country decor all over the restaurant. The service was on the slower side. But the was good enough and the servers were very kind and spoke to us nicely. Kept checking on us. We enjoyed our dinner! I wish I had more pictures to share.

Waite staff do not wear masks, communal condiments, plastic menus, no social distancing. The food is NOT worth the risk.

They have live music on Friday and Saturday nights, and every band we've seen has been fantastic. We also joined in on Musical BINGO, and my husband actually won! It was such a fun and lively experience. The bartenders are friendly, engaging, and made us feel right at home. They even recognized us on our second visit, which was such an unexpected and wonderful touch. The food is amazing, too. The hamburgers are terrific, and the drinks definitely hit the spot. You can sit at the bar, relax at a table inside where it is nice and cool, or enjoy the outdoor deck overlooking the sound stage. There is also a lower seating area for anyone who likes being closer to the music and all the action. The Den is also dog-friendly, which is a huge plus when you are traveling with your furry family member--just remember to keep them off the grass. During the band, children were playing on the lawn, families were relaxing, and everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time. The entire evening felt fun, welcoming, wholesome, and full of great energy. Between the music, food, drinks, friendly service, and beautiful outdoor setting, The Den has quickly become one of our favorite places in Pinetop. We highly recommend stopping by!

Hubby had the fish & chips tasty choice. I ordered naked chicken wings with hot sauce on the side they were delicious. The wing size was pretty good (I hate it when they're tiny) I actually had some leftover to enjoy later. The other 2 in our group ordered the Grilled Cheese Special & another order of chicken wings. As I mentioned before everything was delicious & no one left hungry. Excellent experience highly recommend.

Our first time…read morehere and the on-line reservation system was easy and I got an email back from the owner confirming our reservation. One of the major reasons we chose this restaurant is that they are one of the few in Greer that are dog friendly. We were sat on the outside porch and had a great space to set them up. There were two other groups on the patio but we were the only one with pups. Started with the Artichoke & Jalapeno Dip with tortilla chips. Oh my goodness, this was some of the best dip! It was perfect and tasty. I also ordered the grilled salmon with tartar sauce. The salmon was great with a tasty seasoning and cooked perfectly. Did not care for the tarter sauce. It came with some fantastic veggies which were sauteed lightly so they retained their crunch and some very creamy mashed potatoes. Wife had the cheese tortellini, which were good but we both agreed that it wasn't a favorite! And of course we had to try the grilled Amaretto peaches with a scoop of vanilla ice cream...ok, so this was the best!!! The peaches were grilled enough to make marks and bring out the sweetness. We both realize we didn't have photos to share which I'm sad about but guessing attention was focused on dogs, LOL! Service was slow so want to put that out there...we learned through the evening that they only had one cook and I believe the owner was also helping in the kitchen. The others sitting on the porch near us also made mention of the slowness...the larger party was getting one dish delivered at a time and the other couple waited a very long time for their meals to be served. Both owner and woman interfacing with us were pleasant and helpful but you could tell they were busy, busy, busy!!! Thanks for a great meal and experience!
