Super cute ambience. Note: their drinks are not as sweet. The jasmine milk tea at 100% sweetness tastes like 25% sweetness at most other boba shops. Wish the milk tea was more creamy since it seemed like I was drinking a jasmine tea rather than a jasmine milk tea. Definitely recommend getting a topping such as boba or their whipped cream - because the drink itself is so light feel you really need the sweetness of their boba/cream to balance out the lightness of the tea and take the drink to another level. I'd give it a 3/5 for the milk tea itself and 4/5 with choice of select topping.
The downtown area of Davis looks like it remains in the 80's, but once you enter Molly Jasmine you are transported to the present day with beautiful decor & an aromatic tea infused shop. It offers a spacious location perfect for hitting the books. Orders: Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea-simple quality tea that had the perfect sweetness that doesn't take away from the tea leaves. Peach Oolong MT-a little sweeter for my palate, but it was perfect for my daughter. There is less of an Oolong aroma, but it was satisfying. Hours are long, so perfect for students & late night runs for a good cup of tea.
Super cute tea spot in Davis! :D I would totally come here to study. Came on a Sunday around 5pm and it was kind of busy with few seats open. There were lots of students here studying and hanging out. It's so cute inside and bright. I got the Molly Jasmine milk tea at 100% sweetness as that was the recommended sweetness as said on the kiosk. Im glad I got 100 because it's not too sweet. You can definitely taste the Jasmine tea and I would say it's very similar to the popular Molly Tea that we all know. I love that Davis has their version of Molly tea here. I recommend this place if you like good jasmine milk tea.
One of my favorite places to stop when I'm (infrequently) in Davis. They're located in Downtown Davis; there's a parking lot right across from the business. I like that their drinks seem to be more about the quality of the tea versus having a ton of different flavor options. They open at a time I think is somewhat late in the day on weekdays (12pm), and there tends to be a least a few people waiting to get in by the time noon rolls around. Order at the kiosk. I've been getting the Cape Jasmine with Coconut Cream whenever I'm here (but do plan to try something new next time). The coconut cream really adds a lot to the drink, in my opinion, especially since I lowered the sweetness level. At Molly Jasmine, I do recommend keeping a higher sweetness level because otherwise the tea tends to taste a bit more bitter at first. The cream did blend into the drink to help balance out the taste, but as someone who tends to think drink / milk tea places tend to be overly sweet, you're drink likely won't be sweet enough if you reduce the sweetness at Molly Jasmine. It's a bright, open interior. Cutely decorated. Although, there's not a ton of seating. Great drink spot to check out.
Honestly disappointed by drink quality here esp considering the hype and prices. We came here after hearing good reviews about their jasmine milk tea and ordered the basic Molly Jasmine Milk Tea along with one of their novelty drinks, the Pistachio Coconut Jasmine and weren't too impressed by either one. Perhaps our fault for ordering it with 50% sweet and lactose free milk, but the Molly Jasmine Milk Tea tasted heavily watered down and didn't have any of the richness I was expecting of their namesake drink. As for the coconut water drink, this was just a miss for me. While it's a very aesthetically pleasing drink, it tasted like stale coconut water at first bc of the pistachio top before we mixed it thoroughly, which somewhat improved the taste but I personally think the cloud concept they were going for just didnt work out -- cream tops work best on top of a milk tea base and the pistachio, jasmine and coconut water were like three people trying to be friends but just not vibing :/ Pro-tip: they offer free macarons (vanilla, lemon, chocolate, pistachio and lemon) if you follow them on their socials and the texture is pretty ideal -- I probably enjoyed this most out of everything we tried here. I will say that this shop is nice and spacious with plenty of tables and ambiance is great for a coffee date or catching up with friends and ordering is easy via the kiosks with short wait times. However, I can't say I would ever go out of my way to come here again. Maybe I just went wrong with my drink choices but if you do end up coming here, I'd avoid the coco water beverages and recommend going up to 80-100% sweetness on the milk teas unless you dont mind bland, watered down drinks.
I was happy that I found a good boba/milk tea place while in Davis. I got the GenmaiCha Milk Tea with the recommended amount of sweetness. It's jasmine tea blended with roasted brown rice. I was pleasantly surprise how fragrant and nutty it was. It was also one of the drinks that had the highest amount of caffeine. I would say I didn't really feel the caffeine kick in, but it was a very enjoyable drink. It's a pretty cute place to hang out, but it was extremely hot inside. I'm not sure if the ac was broken but I was sweating just ordering. It might have affected the ice too because it felt like there was melted ice chips in drink. I wouldn't mind coming again!
If you like tea, then this is for you. The jasmine tea had a strong jasmine tea flavor. In fact, as soon as you walk in you're hit with the aroma. I tried their jasmine milk tea with 50% sugar. It is definitely not your typical frilly milk tea place. It's for tea enthusiasts and those who appreciate the flower. 10/10 would recommend.
I ordered the Molly Jasmine Tea and it was very fragrant and creamy! I enjoyed sipping on this and the caffeine wasn't too strong for me- which was good since I stopped by here after dinner. I took a few sips of the Long Jing Tea and it was a lot stronger than the Jasmine Tea. It was pretty fragrant and had a lingering aftertaste (in a good way). I would prefer this one as a midday drink.
I got an osmanthus oolong milk tea with mochi & whipped cream, 75% sweet. The flavor was really good and unique. It was my first time trying mochi in a drink and I liked the chewiness of it. However, it was a bit too sweet for me even tho I got a less sugar level. Inside is really cute and aesthetic! The decor is gorgeous and there's plenty of seating. It's located near UC Davis so there's lots of students and you can walk around, check out the other shops nearby.
I got the Jasmine Milk Tea with Coconut Cream, and I was very satisfied! Super fragrant jasmine tea and perfectly creamy. My only complaint would be... too much ice personally. Interior is super cute. I loved the book shelves and color scheme. Great spot to study and do work. If you love cute cafes and find yourself in Davis, definitely worth checking out! :)
Molly Jasmine is new favorite place to study! The aesthetic of this tea shoppe is gorgeous (I even made a reel on Instagram of some of its cutest corners). Service time is decent for how busy the shop can get. I've waiting anywhere from 2-15 minutes for a drink to be prepared. I highly recommend the whipped drinks. I've tried all three of them so far (da Hong pap, Ceylon) and one with coconut which I forget the name of. I highly recommend Molly Jasmine to all my friends in Davis who want to try an authentic Chinese tea shop experience! read more

This place was pretty much made for students to hang out or study for a short while. There are plenty of outlets everywhere and their bathroom is very clean. The workers are also super quick and we got our drinks within 10 minutes. I call this quick because they were pretty packed but still managed to get it in a timely manner. I got the Molly Jasmine milk tea and my friend got the coconut Jasmine. They were both pretty good and I feel light enough that you can get 100% sugar without guilt. A great place to study or sit and just watch people walking by. read more
Ordered on a kiosk. I forgot which drinks I got, (one might be the Da Hong Pao Oolong with Whipped cream) but it has cream on top and its good! Great balance of tea, sweetness, flavor, oh and the cream and toppings/nuts add a nice touch! Molly Jasmine was such a good treat! Immediately walking in, the vibes are immaculate. There were tons of students studying here. You can walk in and order via the kiosks. You may notice some toppings not available on certain drinks as it may impact the flavor. I ordered the Molly Jasmine and wanted boba with it but it wasn't offered so I just selected Crystal boba and added a note of honey boba instead. I think it turned out great! The Jasmine is brewed really nicely. I don't think their boba is that great so I would just order it without it next time. Definitely will be coming back. read more
This place has a very sleek and modern interior for a boba spot. Osmanthus milk tea: A- Very refreshing and perfect at 70% sweet. The top was a milk foam and it added some nice creaminess. They didn't have the fermented rice drink when I came so I will definitely need to return and try it out. read more
One of my friends highly recommended that I try Molly Jasmine! She has been here countless times and told me that their tea is similar to the quality of what you can expect in China. I am always on the lookout for high-quality boba, and we decided to meet up for a boba date before our volunteering shift at the California Raptor Center. I'm happy to report that her recommendation was solid! I ordered the peach oolong milk tea and it came with a delightful milk foam on top! I've never had this texture of milk foam before--usually it's thicker and not airy like Molly Jasmine's. I loved the consistency of it. The tea itself was definitely unlike any others I've had. It was smooth, light, and refreshing. I tried my friend's osmanthus oolong MT as well (which is her go-to drink) and it had a beautiful flowery aroma to it. We ordered off the kiosk and our teas were ready in less than 10 minutes. They were reasonably priced as well, as boba drinks seem to be getting more expensive lately. My only "complaint"--if I can even call it that--is that I wish the drinks came in a larger size. I finished my tea relatively quickly and found myself wanting more. I will for sure be back to try Molly Jasmine's other drinks! read more

Well, first of all, the vibez in here are immaculate. Their AC is on, they have bookshelves full of books you can read, and the interior design is chef's kiss. And the JASMINE! Omg, you can taste the quality of the Jasmine tea here. It's all milk tea, but you can clearly taste the tea in a way that isn't bitter at all. It reminds me of when you got to SF Chinatown and visit a tea shop for tea tasting. The teas are usually slightly sweet by themselves, just from the way they brewed it. You can taste the same quality here. This place definitely serves an elevated version of a Jasmine Milk Tea. They also have different types of Jasmine teas, which yield different flavors! I think the quality of milk tea paired with the working AC (a must in Davis heat) makes this a great spot to study, chat, and hang out with friends. Highly recommend this place! I really love the interior and lighting of the store. A great place to hangout and study (slightly loud to study IMO, but works). Features selection of really fragrant tea drinks. Ordered a fermented rice osmanthus ($6.25): 70% sugar and less ice, make sure you get a straw since the fermented rice bits are on the bottom of the drink. I really like the drink at 70% sweetness, the rice is quite a usual taste at the beginning, but it compliments the drink really well. I really tea flavor, I could taste it better with the 70% than 50% sweetness. Tablets to order your drinks when you walk in. When your drink is ready, your number gets called, about a 7 minute wait. Their grand opening is on February 3rd! Love the selection and really great tea! read more

Honestly, I think this is the best boba shop in Davis and I've had a lottt of boba from Davis. I came here twice in one day. They don't have too many drinks to choose from, but their drinks are solid. Great tea flavor and not sweet at all! Their boba also has a great chewy texture. I never get 100% sweet for my drinks, but I would recommend it for this place. Even at 70%, it wasn't that sweet. They use fresh milk here, but they do offer a lactose free substitute. The space was beautiful! I would definitely hang out or study here if I was still a student. read more

I recently came to visit Davis after graduating and saw that they opened up this new boba shop on G St! I am so jealous because I would definitely spend all my time studying here if I was a student. The inside is inviting and peaceful with a big open space and lots of seating. I liked that their menu had the caffeine levels of each drink, and I found it very helpful as someone who tends to get boba late at night sometimes. I ordered the osmanthus oolong tea with light ice and 70% sugar and found it perfect! If I still went to school here, this would definitely be my go to boba and study spot! read more

Had the Jasmine Milk Tea hot and it reminded me a lot of Molly Tea. Very fragrant tea flavor without the artificial taste. Fairly tasty drink but awful service. Barista rolled her eyes when I asked where the lids were. Perhaps she was having a bad day. Overall, the shop provides decent drink and has plenty of seating option for people who is looking for a spot to work or study. read more

Obsessed with this new boba shop in Davis. My go-to drink is the Molly Jasmine, their signature green milk tea drink. I get 100% sweet (trust the recommendation. It's not too sweet and has a strong floral green tea flavor), either low ice or hot. The drinks are on the pricier end, ngl, at $6.50. Adding 2% lactose free milk is +$0.25. I also recommend the coconut jelly topping. Even at $1.25 it's so worth it. They also have more caffeinated options such as the black and oolong teas and non-caffeinated drinks. I've been having meetings and girl talk here; the vibes are good for both. Not really any outlets so be sure to come with charged devices, but there is WiFi and a clean bathroom, so it's a solid study spot. They usually play chill r&b on the speakers, and it isn't too loud. read more
Super cute boba shop. Stopped by here on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed with college students studying (is it midterms already hahaha?). The small-ish place fit a lot of tables so every seat was taken while people studied with their drinks. You order at a kiosk and drinks come out pretty quickly. Drinks are unique and taste like there's some level of quality to each drink. The menu is small, but fairly unique. Menu also describes if a drink is high caffeine or low caffeine so you can make a choice based on what you need. Opted to not get boba with my drink so can't rate that. But what I can say, and I know everything is expensive these days, but I took off a star for price. A lot of these drinks are milk tea with a layer of cream/foam so you aren't getting a super filling drink. So probably best if you prefer lighter drinks that have a creamy/foamy element to it. Drinks aren't overly sweet and if I was a local student, I'd probably love studying here (good lighting inside and lots of seating). The aesthetic here is very cute with light florals and books. It would be a good place to study as there is also a bathroom available to use. I come here about once a week to order different items on their menu. You are able to choose the sweetness level with up to 120% though I recommend 50% for most items. When arriving you are prompted to order at a kiosk so your only interaction with service is to pick up your drink. My only wish is that the fabuloso scent wasn't so strong and you could actually smell the tea. read more
One of my favorite mt spot in Davis!! Quality tea, you can really the fragrant aroma of the tea!! So if you prefer tea drinks compared fruit tea this is the place!! Jasmine MT w/ fermented rice 4.5/5 - wowow the fermented rice added a nice depth of flavor in a way it enhanced the jasmine aroma. I got 70% sugar and it's a bit too sweet so I'll get it 50% next time. read more
Boba, tea, Chinese tea spot in Davis! Cute aesthetic and nice place to study, grab a drink, or meet up with friends! I think there's only one worker at a time, so props to them. You order on the tablets and you can customize your drinks. I heard the fermented rice osmanthus drinks were really popular. I think there's a warning that there's alcohol in it or some type of warning. I added some extra rice into it and the texture is a little different but the taste is really good! I like my drinks less sweet and less ice, so I got like 30% or less. My friend got a pistachio drink with some foam on top. I like how they were playing some old school r&b music. There's parking nearby but not right in front and next time I can't wait to try a different drink in the future. I feel like the caffeine kept me awake for awhile! read more

pretty good tea shop in downtown area, the drinks came out fast after ordering on the tablets. my friend and i got the jasmine milk tea and the oolong milk tea. the jasmine flavor was rly good but once i mixed it a bit more it had more of a milky flavor which i personally like but i think it did take away from the jasmine. my friends oolong drink was more refreshing and tea like compared to mine. we both got the rice mochi as a topping and it was yummy. chewy and sweet! read more

So sadly disappointed. I ordered just a plain taro milk tea and it tasted like straight up milk. I even had my friend try it, just in case. And even he said it tastes like sugar milk. $6 wasted. Yay. Gave it 2 stars cause at least it looks really nice inside. read more

Yum! First time here and it will not be my last. This place was so busy when we went in and I can tell why. My drink was very refreshing with the added strawberry bits. Even though they were busy, I wouldn't say I waited very long for my drink at all! We will be back to try out the other drinks! read more

I visited this tea shop for the first time last Friday and have been craving it since. I had originally come for a yelp experience event but after trying my drink I knew I had to come back with my fiancé so he can try it too. I think this might be my new favorite boba spot. I live with Dixon so it's about a 10-15 minute drive for me, so I placed my order online so I could just pop in and pick it up to go. The staff was friendly, my order was ready at the exact time it said it would be ready. I think this place is just so cute and inviting. I got the fresh strawberry tea and added tea jelly and boba. My fiancé got the fresh grape tea (which I didn't think I would like because I assumed even thought it said fresh it would still have at least some artificial grape flavor but it didn't at all) and it was actually SO good. The grape smoothie with cheese cream was DELICIOUS!! Our number one for sure is our favorite!! The strawberry was good too. We ended up going another day (today) also added boba and their boba is so good! Definitely our new place to go! We also tried the strawberry milk bar with rice mochi and that was pretty good as well, but we still LOVE the grape smoothie! read more

We ordered the Da Hong Po and Strawberry Smoothie. Both of the drinks are pretty good. We used the kiosk to make the order. I'm not sure why but the default sugar level is 120%. We changed it to 100% and I think the sweetness level is fine. I really like the interior design. Perfect spot for work. read more

They focus on high quality drinks that are mostly teas and fruit drinks so don't expect a lot of variety. I've never had fermented rice before and it was interesting. It enhanced the jasmine flavored tea. Customer service was great and drink we made pretty quickly I love the ambiance here. Very relaxed place to hang out. read more

The ambiance of this place makes you want to cozy up and sip tea. My first impression was that it had a new drink I haven't had before: fermented rice milk. I was hesitant, but it turned out to be quite good (and also nutritious for you)! I also had the most popular jasmine Molly drink, and I appreciated the fact that it had a notification saying it had low caffeine. The seating and tables are great for board games and writing, but the only drawback is that they don't have outlets for longer stays. I will be back soon to try more of these drinks. read more
