COVID update: the Bistro is open. It's right next to the Dakota Rail bike trail. If I could give five stars for making cyclists welcome, this is the place that would get 5 stars. They have the most bike racks I've ever seen at a restaurant, patio seating and a water to refill your bottles. All of the staff wear face masks which is great. It was so busy I opted for takeout instead of waiting for patio seating. I think this was a mistake as the seating turned over reasonably fast. If you order to go, you go inside and order. Unfortunately there's no marked area for waiting so I went outside to wait. I had a rootbeer and strawberry salmon salad. The salad could have had more spinach and strawberries, but had plenty of salmon. The salmon was ok but nothing special. I sat in the park across the street. I'm so glad there's a restaurant right on the bike path. read more

We walked in and were immediately seated, our waiter came out right away with waters and was super chatting and lovely. It was such a good atmosphere, and we felt very appreciated. If I could give less than 1 star, I certainly would. There is something going on with the owner who has an attitude about cyclists - not real helpful when your restaurant sits on a highly-used bike trail. I was with a group of nine cyclists who made a destination ride to grab breakfast on a Saturday morning. We are all professionals or retirees in our 50s and 60s, most holding advanced degrees. So not a bunch of rowdy kids. The owner was extremely rude to us. As we entered the mostly empty restaurant, she commented that we should have called ahead. She seemed very put off that a group of nine would have the audacity to come in unannounced and fill up two tables in a completely empty dining room. After another odd comment or two from her, she then told us we need to move our bikes off the patio. Hmm, it was 42 degrees outside and windy - not exactly patio weather. Then she went off on a rage about how "you cyclists" are disrespectful and always causing problems. We opted to leave at this point. As we were leaving, the owner continued to argue and yell at us and threatened to call the police - not sure what for. I felt bad for the server who missed out on $50 in tips. What I don't understand is why an owner of a restaurant would work so hard to turn down what would have been over a $200 tab plus lose all of us as customers forever. I read more

Have been going to the Bistro since they opened. The first owner was great and so was the food. Their chef is amazing! The next owner came in and it went from great to fabulous!!Sometime in early spring, a new owner took over. First time there she bitched at us for sitting in the front patio, but said fine. Again, food, chef and employees have always been great. She never waited on us, so we overlooked her nasty disposition.October 20th, 70+ degrees, decided to bike there.Arrived at 1:30, open until 2:00.Owner said we're closing early because she was "melting down". Done! Never going back again.sad because the food and staff is great.The new owner should go back to liquor sales or any where but the service industry! We will spread the word. read more

Love the vibes and furniture at the St. Boni Bistro. Great for catching up with an old friend, getting to know someone new, or reading a book with a cup of coffee. We had the Greek Gyro and a Hamburger, both with Bistro Potatoes Lamb and beef are pretty good on their own. But you throw it on pita with some feta and a bit of that sneaky tzaziki... daaaangerous... The Gyro and potatoes were just awesome. I always seek Greek perfection, and this place was pretty close. We had a wonderful ladies night out dinner here. The seven of us enjoyed a fantastic meal...I had the chicken piccata over pasta. I meant to only eat one cutlet (saving the rest for next night) but it was soooo good I finished the entire meal. There was an emergency so they only had one chef...so service was a bit slow. A very long wait for mediocre, over priced food. Hamburger of the day had bacon & corn sauce on it .Very sloppy to eat & fell apart.
