NY style pies hit the fixing when needed! For the most part, this place has given me a happy belly and satisfied taste buds. Customer service is great and so I the za! If you want to get delivery, order through door dash. If you call Mombo's directly, they will deliver through door dash... so just make it easier on everyone and go through the third party in which you can track. I'm basically a regular at mombos so I will say they have good days and bad days. Unfortunately for me they seem to have more bad days than good. The pizza and everything always looks great but sometimes it's too greasy (like you can spoon the grease off greasy) or stale. The service is always good and they workers make it hard to not want to tip. However they don't wear gloves or really tie the hair back which is a little off putting. The mombos recently was "renovated" and has more of an open feel yet still feels a little cluttered. read more

Excellent quality to their pizzas. Good selection of the ones by the slice. Love the drink machine where you can design your own. We asked for one pizza not on display and they made it within a few minutes, They are the pizza ninjas. Premises are, shall we say, on the casual side. Kinda like a college hangout. Our table was, for sure, midcentury modern. But, it is a fun place to grab a bite and drink. This one is in Sebastopol and you would have to drive a few miles to get there. The pizza here is amazing. My husband and I grew up in NY but live in Houston, and we can't find good NY pizza anywhere. When we visited Sonoma, this place was near the wineries we were touring, so we thought we'd give it a shot. My husband loved it so much that he ordered another slice in addition to the large pie that we ordered and the garlic knots we had. I would love to try one of their white pies next time, but their chicken pesto one and their margherita were extremely good. I tend to like my garlic knots a bit bigger, but these were good too. We also got a ton of them, which I really appreciated. We are huge fans of Sonoma, so my husband has already stated that when we return, we will be coming back to Mombo's. read more

We came here for lunch since our usual spot wasn't opened yet. We were a bit weary at first so we tried their pizza by the slice. Pizza by the slice is limited to what they have on hand. They do reheat it and comes out nice and hot. Slices are large! I had one slice and husband had two. Their crust was more on the thin side, so to make it easy to eat, we folded it in half. Where's the crust? One of the most overlooked parts of a slice of pizza is the crust. Always nice to finish off with those airy chewy bites. As of lately and the last several times I've been to Mombos, someone is skirting. The crust is almost negligible. Pizza goes right up to the edge. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PIZZA!!!!!!! Staff- friendly and very bubbly! Felt welcomed even from the initial phone call while ordering the pizza!!! Pizza- AMAZING!! We ordered 3 pizzas in totally and all were ready to go when we arrived. When going to pay the head lady mentioned how they made a pizza wrong? Firstly, customer service is always great. Regarding the food, the pizza crust is always nice and crispy and exactly right: not too crispy and not too soft. But my favorite thing about Mombo's is that when ordering a half and half pizza, they never ever let the toppings overlap each other! My problem with most pizza places is that the end slices usually taste like the other person's toppings or have some of the other person's toppings on it. Not Mombo's! From the sauce, to the mozzarella, down to the size alone. These guys know how to make a pizza...Yes I'd love a crisper crust, well then I should've asked. LOVE THIS PLACE! Best by the slice and get a salad combo around. Added bonus ever since they added their Gelato bar a few years ago. Easy to get to. Staff is always friendly and I love that they also have a monthly contest. So glad they have a location not far from my office in Santa Rosa. I used to eat a lot of pizza. I grew up eating pizza in New York. I don't eat so much anymore since becoming vegan, but I thought mombos was the best in the area. Until I tried it again. I paid $24 for a large cheeseless pizza. Unfortunately it was super disappointing. All crust and tomato sauce with a thin scattering of toppings. For $24. And the crust was dry and crunchy like a cracker. Doesn't anyone know how to make soft, bendy, chewy crust? The crust was my complaint at hippizzazz, but at least they offer vegan cheese and a better amount of toppings. They did offer to make it again (I didn't want to wait) and they gave a gift card (with some attitude) of unknown value, but I'd rather get a decent pizza without so much vigilance. read more

I walked into the Santa Rosa Location yesterday with 3 other veterans (1 US Navy and 2 US Army) because I was hungry and was promised an authentic NY style slice. The menu and Mombo's staff did not disappoint. Firstly, they gave us extra slices, because the slices were on the smallish side that afternoon. Secondly, I purchased a couple of drinks and they threw in a couple of more with a thanks for our service to the country. Much Appreciated! For as long as I had been going to Mambo's is was my favorite in California. A friend told me it had been sold and she thought it was "not the same". What an understatement. The crust is so different and lacking now. It used to be terrific. My favorite has always been the Florentine. I believe I ricotta cheese to be different, most likely part skim from a tub. It used to have fresh mozzarella and now it has the rubber ball kind. I think the garlic comes from a jar. The spinach was even flat and unseasoned. Altogether a total disappointment. read more

Been to this location a few times now. Last time in brought a half dozen co workers. Food was ok and seemed like it wasnt up to the normal standards. Went back again for lunch and got a lunch combo. Good deal for 2 slices and a drink. Pizza was great! The guys working in there are awesome and always seem happy and engaging to the costomer. (Everyone gets treated like a regular). I made my own dough for five years and gave it up for the work and clean up involved..I started buying Mombos dough for $5+ for ten years.. also Safeways and Traders Joes for under 2 bucks but Mombos is the best!! Today at 2pm stopped buy to buy a large ball of dough and he handed me a small!! I said " Is that a Large ball!" Oh yes he said.. I knew better.. Got home barely got 12" pie!!! I wouldn't write this and maybe just about his arrogance but if I can visually see it aint large he who works there should know!!! This is the best pizza-- IMO-- anywhere. My favorite pizza is one I made up. Mushroom garlic clam in a red sauce with pesto. That is the secret. They put globs of pesto randomly throughout the marinara pizza. Yes it is a bit greasy due to the pesto. The mushrooms- literally covering the pizza- cut the oil but napkins also help. Rounding out the perfect pizza dinner--they probably have good salads-- but I'm talking about moonlight brewing's IPA. I've always loved Brian's death and taxes but I am such an IPA girl that I have a sip of friends black lager and drink all of my IPA. read more
