Sadly this place is closing April 30, 2026 so go if you're a fan. There's absolutely no parking. I circled for 10 minutes before finding a spot, so factor in finding a spot if you're going to visit. Very cute restaurant, but it's so loud half the time you can't hear the person next to you. The workers are super attentive and kind! They work their butts off! Garlic Knots (5/5 stars) - If you love garlic, they do not hold back here! You will smell terrible but who cares it tastes amazing! The bread is nice and buttery. A must order! Seared Tomino (4/5) - The eggplant caponata was very good and the pest oil was addicting! I didn't eat the tomino but my friends said it was very good. Minus one star as the garlic bread wasn't very garlicky, and crust was hard and razor sharp. Be careful when biting! Earl Grey Tea (5/5) - They give you a generous amount of tea! We dined at this restaurant 2 nights in a row because we enjoyed everything the first night so much. And there was still much more we wanted to try. I wasn't able to take pictures of everything. But we surely enjoyed all of the dishes we tried. The pasta fagioli was pretty epic. The pizza was fantastic. We really enjoyed the balance in all the dishes. You can tell the ingredients they use high quality and fresh. The staff were all very nice and the service was great. We were excited to check out this restaurant because of its good reviews and beautiful ambiance. Unfortunately, we were not very impressed with its food. The service was good and fast. My husband ordered the Chicken Parmesan. The chicken wasn't crispy, it didn't have enough flavor, and it was kind of soggy. It didn't taste good. The Pizza we got was flimsy and nothing special. The garlic knots were tasty but very small. Campanella seems overpriced for the quality of food they offer. Yes, both indoor and outdoor dining areas looked great, with beautiful pictures on the walls and nicely decorated tables, but unfortunately, that's not enough. Good spot for Italian in downtown Sebastopol! Highly recommend getting a spot in the outdoor patio area because it has such a beautiful ambiance (with heaters too when it gets cold) I ordered the steamed clams with linguini which was very solid--I loved the breadcrumbs and there were plenty of clams! I just wish everything wasn't soaking in a bed of liquid butter My friends got the meatball + ricotta pizza which looked very good. I'll have to try that next time! read more

Oh gosh. I'm obsessed. Excellent service, quality and flavors on point. Campanella is such a gem in Sebastopol! Their menu has all the Italian classics, and everything I've tried has been delicious. The eggplant parmesan is hands-down my favorite--crispy, cheesy, and so comforting. They also have a nice happy hour! Wednesday to Sunday, 3 PM to 5 PM, with a late-night happy hour on Fridays and Saturdays from 8 PM to 9 PM Yay- love local late night options. The cute outdoor patio is perfect for these long summer evenings even into fall. It's a nice enclosure and really pretty when it rains too. It feels cozy but still has a lively atmosphere. A meal here isn't complete without their fresh salad, warm bread, and pizza--especially with that spicy marinara, which gives everything the perfect kick. And I love that they offer Italian sodas, such a fun and refreshing touch. This place is legit, authentic, and tastes phenomenal. We had gone for our anniversary, and we honestly weren't sure what to expect. What we got was a true Sicilian experience from start to finish. Everything, and I mean everything was unbelievable, from the meatballs to the spaghetti, to the pasta of the day. Our server was greatly attentive and knowledgeable on the menu, he also just had some authentic personality which was cool. Campanella is not only beautifully designed on the inside but also offers delicious food. We sat on the back patio to enjoy some of their new york style pizza. We happened to run into the owner, Thomas, who went above and beyond to welcome us. We started with the Garlic Knots before ordering the Meatball & Ricotta Pizza. Thomas brought out a serving of the Chilled Asparagus for us to sample as it was new to the menu. Every piece of food we tried felt like an old family recipe. The ingredients were notably fresh and made to order. He also brought out some of the basil ranch and bomba macha sauces to pair with the pizza; WOW! This place truly makes my heart sing--though I might not break into "O Sole Mio," it would certainly be a nice addition to the ambiance! A couple of Sinatra songs would fit perfectly too. As someone who is partially Italian, I tend to be quite particular about Italian restaurants. It feels like I'm carrying the essence of the Italian peninsula with me! My father was from New York, and his parents immigrated from Bari, Puglia, so I've grown up around New York-inspired Italian cuisine. This restaurant captures that vibe beautifully; it reminds me of walking into my aunt's house during the 1960s and 70s, yet it also incorporates a modern touch. It stands apart from chain places like Buca di Beppo and is truly a gem in the North Bay area. The atmosphere here is cozy. We started our meal with the Antipasti, a nostalgic choice for me from my childhood. We then shared the eggplant dish, Chicken Marbella, and Chicken Parmesan. One thing to note is that they offer Happy Hour, which is a great way to enjoy the menu at a better price. Happy Hour is served from 3 to 5 PM daily, with a Late Night Happy Hour from 8 to 9 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. You should try this place when you are searching for NY Italian. Super cute Italian spot in the downtown Sebastopol area! Came on a reservation with a large group of 11 and sat in the outdoor patio which was a really nice vibe with all the lights and decor. Had the Broccoli Caesar, which was pretty good but not super filling. Tried some of the clam linguine too which I enjoyed, as well as the burrata and garlic bread for apps. The pizzas and pastas here are around the same price, but the pizzas definitely seem more bang for your buck in terms of the food quantity you receive. read more

I was so excited to finally see that the space that used to house Flavor finally housed a restaurant that seemed promising for the limited food scene in Sebastopol. The only downfall with the space was the issue of wondering where we could park conveniently as a party with individuals with mobility issues and needing a spot nearby to be able to get them safely to the restaurant. When we first pulled up, the one handicap spot was taken so we had to do a drop off in the driveway of the restaurant. What I appreciated as we were unloading was that (I believe) the manager came up to me and offered me a spot to make it easier for us to leave when the time came since he saw the struggle we were facing getting our party out of the car. That immediately made me happy and even more excited to try their food. As we were seated, I was floored again by the helpfulness and kindness that the staff exuded when it came to our party and our needs. I normally put requests in my reservation notes which sometimes makes me feel I may be a nuisance to the staff or restaurant. Not only was the hostess kind enough to thank us for giving them details of what works for us, but the rest of the staff including the manager(s) went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of as long as we dined. The food here matched the impressiveness of the service here. Everything tastes like it's made with so much compassion and love and feels incredibly homey/familiar even though we aren't even the tiniest bit Italian. Our favorite thing here would have to be the Palisades pizza. It's excitingly delicious and nothing like what you can find in other pizza establishments. The ribs are braised to perfection and have never been dry. The pickled vegetables that come with it are amazing on their own as well and pair really well with the pizzas! Overall with Campanella, it has a convenient location, great food, and impeccable service and it will keep us coming back for as long as they stay open. read more

I really wanted to love this cute little spot in Sebastopol, but the food was not as impressive as I had hoped it would be. Perhaps we ordered incorrectly. We started with a classic aperol spritz, followed by a tender and tasty green salad, and we shared their special pizza of the night, which was a chicken marsala. New restaurant, new employees they are friendly but have some room to grow. The food is 5 star. The indoor is just lovely and the outdoor patio with space heaters is comfortable and cozy! Bar is stunning, especially with the sunshine pouring through, and I love the homage paid to the owner's Nonna and first family dog. The vibe is on point for me! First time I went, the food was pre-ordered for our group so I didn't know what the actual portion sizes would be. I returned with some friends and quickly realized our small group of 4 would have to order two of each appetizer in order for us to all get one serving. That causes me to reflect on pricing and portion sizes. 3 garlic knots for $9. (messy to cut in half but only way for us to all share) Delicious, especially with that basil ranch. Two meatballs for $19. They were large and easy to split in half but again, almost $20 each of us to have half a meatball. House salad - again, it was delicious, but $18 delicious? It too was split three ways and we all thought it was tasty! We ordered and shared the eggplant parmesan, chicken marsala, pearl river pizza and clam linguine. Very nice. We spent a beautiful lunch on the patio, cool and in the shade clebrating my birthday. The food was GREAT. I have spent many visits to other local places trying to find a perfect eggplant parm and was usually disappointed; this place nailed it. I've eaten at Campanella three times now. It's one of our favorites. The food is consistently delicious and quality. We order something different each time but the menu standards are there for a reason. Some highlights: The Caesar broccoli is fresh and tasty, the gnocchi is delicate and flavorful, and the pizzas are unique and craveable. I order the non alcoholic "Shirley" drink every time. The cheesecake, cannoli, and rainbow cookies remind me of my childhood with my Italian family. The service is always friendly and top tier. The ambiance is beautiful and feels special without feeling too fancy. The facilities are clean with fun little touches. I went with my mom for first time. I euros like to try it again to try other things. We each got the special Butternut Squash soup, and shared the little gems salad and the eggplant parm. The salad was nice, but i wished it had a few pieces onions vs so many pieces of radish that looked like little pieces of red onion. The eggplant parma was tasty but on the thick overcooked size. We asked the waitress if we should get it vs another item on menu and she said it was her favorite thing on the menu. I was disappointed with its dryness and lack of sauce, though it was flavorful. The soup was tasty, and i liked the brown butter almond stuff it was topped with. It said crispy sage but it was actually crispy almond. My mom thought it was way too sweet, as the almonds did seem to be sweetened which was not necessary with the already fairly sweet soup. I would give 3.5 stars if it was an option. But the menu is in intriguing enough that i decided to go with 4 stars instead of 3. Prices are not outrageous. It was a little slow getting food to us, so after soup i was so starved i forgot about pics! Inside it's a cozy environment if you are in the front room where it's less chilly. read more

Racist.... Had the worst experience my boyfriend Reserved a Table 2 weeks in advance for Valentines Day. When we got there they had plenty of seats available inside but they tried to sit us outside in not nice of an area. When we told the hostess we would like to sit inside, she said they reserve the tables for larger parties. Which was not true because there was larger parties also outside, but even if it was true reserving a table 2 weeks advance should of gave priority over a potential walk in, it was definitely racial profiling...We left, & scrambled to find another location for dinner on Valentines Day. Luckily it worked out at FERN BAR we had the best experience there & way nicer environment & wait staff/bartenders were all amazing, drinks & food were on point. read more

We were very excited to see Campanella open but somehow hadn't had a chance to get over there for dinner. Finally had dinner there last night. The space is very nice, light, but still intimate. We ordered the arancini for starters. A pale cousin to the real thing. The sauce was bland and watery. Forget getting dense compacted risotto and gooey cheese. These were dry rice balls. On the positive side, the braised beef pizzaiolo was tender and flavorful. The local rock cod was the stand out meal. Light and flaky beautifully presented.. The chicken marsala was a total fail. An overcooked roasted bland chicken cutlet on top of a delicious sauce. The chicken was inedible and had to be sent back. The chicken Parmesan pizza was likewise nothing to rave about. We look forward to coming back and finding more consistency in the dishes at Campanella . read more

Service and ambience was good, but there was something wrong with almost everything we ordered, and portion sizes were small. The diet coke I ordered was a tiny bottle, which is cute but $5 for 8 oz is a little unsatisfying. The ribs were overcooked and had to be scraped off the bone with a knife. The pickled veggies on the side were ice cold and cut a bit too big. The center of the arrancieta was a bit too liquidy. The balls had only 1/3 filling, and only 2 on the plate. They were mostly fried air. The rigatoni was a bit undercooked, some people like pasta al dente and I think this is how it comes when its ordered like that. My girl said that carbonara shouldn't have egg in it but it was pretty tasty to me. For 17 bucks I would have liked a larger portion. We ordered focaccia but they had run out, we got regular bread instead. They did comp it, but with prices like this at an italian place, I think they can afford to provide free bread and butter. If have you have house made focaccia, it's going to ordered at almost every table. Saturday night at 8pm this place was almost empty, and they had no focaccia left? Bake another couple trays next week. read more

There are many very good Italian restaurants scattered around Sonoma County, happy to add Campanella Kitchen in Sebastopol to that list. The restaurant has been totally renovated and is now a very attractive dining area. Add a large patio and you have a choice of where you want to dine. This was our second time at Campanella and each time was a solid experience. We started with and shared the Eggplant Parmigiana which different than traditional as it's made with a vodka sauce but this Italian says it's awesome and a large portion to share. Also it was layered with Ricotta and Mozzarella. For entrees, we were both in the mood for fish and we ordered the Local Rock Cod Filet, prepared with Basil Pesto, Crispy Potatoes, Pepperonata. Very satisfying and a substantial portion. Campanella has a wine and beer list, we decided to bring our own wine and corkage was a reasonable $20.00 dollars. Service both times has been prompt, friendly and informative, that always helps make a very nice meal even better. Campanella is a very good new addition to Sebastopol! read more

We had a great dinner here, luscious small plates of crab croquettes, seafood vinaigrette salad and a broccolini Caesar salad. On Sundays they have a multi-course family dinner that is reasonably priced (lasagna, antipasto, salad, dessert) . My wife had linguini alle vongole, her favorite dish and the dish and portion size was excellent. There is both inside and outside dining but the marine layer was in and we stayed inside. The service was knowledgeable and attentive and not overbearing (with fine dining experience on multiple continents I don't need to be told I've made a "good choice" by a haughty twenty-something.) We recently went for a late-ish lunch on a Sunday, and it was very good. The selection has something for everyone. We had a picky child, a vegetarian, a Keto eater, and 2 we'll try it alls in our party, and we all had plenty to pick from, and it was all delicious. The White Clam Pizza was a surprise favorite. I loved my potato gnocchi, and the serving was quite a lot. The spaghetti with clams was also a large serving and delicious. The meatballs had a great balance, and my kiddo liked the pesto pasta with extra cheese. We capped off our meal with the cookie plate, and that did not disappoint. All four items were very tasty and kid approved (kid ate them all). The atmosphere feels like grandma's house, but without the risk of your kids breaking anything. I'd definitely say family friendly, or nice for a couple, and a good space for a group. They have a great drink selection also if you're looking for a cocktail, or wine to go with your meal.
