Placed a last minute order for 2 dozen apples for gifts at work. They were well received and everyone told me they were delicious.

Found this place on Instagram, so we drove down from Pasadena...and it was well worth the drive…read more The store is super cute inside with a fun seating area. I wished we had arrived earlier to be able to enjoy more of the sold out offerings, but next time we'll arrive right when they open. We ordered a dozen crinkle cookies for a Mother's Day lunch - enjoying the sweet ube and the spiced thai tea versions. Both were great compliments to each other - more perfectly sweet and the other a bit more herbal. The chocolate chip cookie was perfect - nice crunchy edges and slightly gooey soft inside. The ube tres leches was a little disappointing as there wasn't any tres leches cake at the bottom, just crumbly graham crackers resting below exquisite ube mousse. It could have been mislabeled, but it was essentially just ube mousse with crumbly graham crackers for texture. The staff were friendly and the store is so fun!

I'm Mexican so the l tres leches was a little dry to my liking and lacked the ube flavor in my opinion I will return to try the other treats they have So if you're in the montebello area and haven't been here definitely give them a try I got a latte as well and it was well made

The matcha w/ red bean taiyaki is good, but it doesn't need the extra flair, honestly. So tasty on its own. I'm not a huge ice cream fan, but this was really enjoyable. The girl working the counter was a young girl just getting by her summer day job. She was nice but timid. It was our first time there and a little more energy on her end could've been better. Ordered the ube swirl, pineapple dole whip, mung bean taiyaki, and a custard one togo. The taiyaki that goes onto the ice cream is a lot bigger than one we ordered to go. I thought it would be as big, but when I got it, it was so much smaller and flat. Also, the taiyaki that goes on top of the ice cream was old. It had been sitting there for a while or was made earlier as it was hard and difficult to bite. The red bean inside I also assumed was a paste like how they make the Japanese version, however there were whole pieces in there. It was okay, but I thought they'd be like paste. Overall, the only thing that was good was the ube swirl and the pineapple dole whip. It was also extremely warm in the shop, like no AC in the triple digits summer heat. Had to eat it elsewhere. I most likely won't be back.

I ordered the Peach pancakes (summer seasonal) this time, and I'm not even a big peach eater, but these had a great refreshing taste for the hot AF summer. Of course, they were not overly sweet whatsoever even with the vanilla bean ice cream on the side. The pancakes themselves taste a bit eggy and I'm an egg fan so that worked out great for me. I also ordered the peach lime tea and added clear boba, less sweet. The drink went perfectly because it had fresh lime and it's pleasant to pair sweets with savory & sour. Plus the textures from the boba and pancakes made it more fun to eat. I probably waited about 15 minutes or so for the pancakes, but the space itself is cute and the staff seem friendly. Their bathroom is clean and there are a good amount of spaces to sit inside and out. Parking seems to be free in the lot or underground. If you CUTE and SWEET I recommend ~

The location itself is super small and at times cramped depending on how crowded the events were. I did enjoy the tofu pudding here, but I do admit that their drinks could have been better. Did I ever go out of my way to get the drinks here? No. But did I come out here because they helped and played such a vital role in building a community? Hell yes. Thank you so much for the memories

I was hoping to have my own AE86 built and ready when I finally stopped by, but maybe for the new location. As an honest critique of the actual storefront, the appearance and decor is very charming. In a very bright, Japanese themed cafe kind of way. But because this is an Initial D themed drink and snack spot, I can see this being a place where mostly guys use this place as a meet-up hub. Especially for a small car meet. Very niche right? Especially for the dying breed of 1980's 1990's - 2000's JDM cars. That said, how many guys in the city could you actually get to come here regularly for soy and soy-based accessories, drinks, and snacks? The dessert was okay, and I wasn't in love with the drinks. Light, tofu refreshing, but not captivating. Personally, the menu doesn't appeal to me, since I try to avoid soy since it tends to be a pro-estrogen consumable. I don't think they had to box themselves in into being a purely tofu-only cafe. They could sell tofu products, and also have something simple but repeatedly addictive; like In-n-Out, Wurstkuche, Howling Ray's, Tea Master Matcha Cafe, Savoy, Langer's, etc. The closest idea I can think of that would be forced into tofu would be like really excellent, authentic mabo tofu, agedashi tofu, or like a karaage or Tokyo fried chicken style fried chicken with a mabo tofu dipping sauce, heavy on the ma-la flavors. Hell, I might even stop by more if they imported more car parts, from like Impulse, TRD, or Apex'i. But the way the AE86 market is, it makes more sense to sell online to the global niche. Wonderful atmosphere and mood for the Initial D/MF Ghost/Subaru to Subaru fandom. It was fun just to follow on instagram and catch a glimpse of all the influencer personalities in the car community stopping by. I'll look forward to what their next Project T(ofu) looks like. See you next time, Space (cow) boy. Oh-oh-oh. I need you babe.

Well, thanks to National Cheesecake Day, and a forwarded text about a free small cheesecake, I stopped in. AMBIANCE: This place is selfie ready. Modern clean cute. Check out my pics. 5/5 FOOD: They've got cheesecake tartlets, mini cheesecakes, cheesecake cookies, cheesecake biscotti. They have plain, mango, strawberry, ube, burnt basque....when I got home, mom and I dove into the mini burnt basque cheesecake....its not pretty, but it's creamy lite and delicious. 5/5 Highest compliment I can pay is...it's not sweet. This one is a subtle lemony flavor. 5/5 Can't wait to try my free mini strawberry cheesecake. Or the free ube tartlet. And in the morning with coffee, the biscotti. The bag of biscotti is the one way to sample all their cheesecake flavors. SERVICE: 10 of 5...exceptional service. The young man behind the counter told me I could get a 10 percent discount if I had a same day receipt from the Panda Express next door. Since I was planning to go there, he credited back my purchases, held my desserts while I went next door to buy lunch. A few minutes later I returned, he looked at the receipt date to verify, and yay, discount, so of course I bought more. Smart strategy. Great customer service = customer spends more!! Thanks for the free ube tartlet.

Upon entry I was greeted with a smile and very friendly welcome. Mentioned that it was my first time visiting and asked for some customer favorites. Say no more. I was offered sample after sample and what a nice add. 4-samples later I placed my order. A Mango Burnt Basque Cheesecake was the choice and a iced matcha latte to wash it down. All in all friendly staff, nicely kept venue, and quite a few samples. This place is New Adventures Places approved
