I thought it would be as big, but when I got it, it was so much smaller and flat. Also, the taiyaki that goes on top of the ice cream was old. The red bean inside I also assumed was a paste like how they make the Japanese version, however there were whole pieces in there. It was okay, but I thought they'd be like paste. I was hoping to have my own AE86 built and ready when I finally stopped by, but maybe for the new location. As an honest critique of the actual storefront, the appearance and decor is very charming. In a very bright, Japanese themed cafe kind of way. But because this is an Initial D themed drink and snack spot, I can see this being a place where mostly guys use this place as a meet-up hub. Especially for a small car meet. Very niche right? Especially for the dying breed of 1980's 1990's - 2000's JDM cars. That said, how many guys in the city could you actually get to come here regularly for soy and soy-based accessories, drinks, and snacks? The dessert was okay, and I wasn't in love with the drinks. Light, tofu refreshing, but not captivating. Personally, the menu doesn't appeal to me, since I try to avoid soy since it tends to be a pro-estrogen consumable. I don't think they had to box themselves in into being a purely tofu-only cafe. They could sell tofu products, and also have something simple but repeatedly addictive; like In-n-Out, Wurstkuche, Howling Ray's, Tea Master Matcha Cafe, Savoy, Langer's, etc. The closest idea I can think of that would be forced into tofu would be like really excellent, authentic mabo tofu, agedashi tofu, or like a karaage or Tokyo fried chicken style fried chicken with a mabo tofu dipping sauce, heavy on the ma-la flavors. Hell, I might even stop by more if they imported more car parts, from like Impulse, TRD, or Apex'i. But the way the AE86 market is, it makes more sense to sell online to the global niche. Wonderful atmosphere and mood for the Initial D/MF Ghost/Subaru to Subaru fandom. My go-to's are usually mango, guava, and melon, but I also have tried nearly all the flavors on their menu and everything is solid: - watermelon - cucumber - lemon - passion fruit - strawberry - pineapple - coconut I typically get 3 scoops based on flavor compatibility, like mango-guava-melon, passionfruit-mango-strawberry, or watermelon-cucumber-limon, or pineapple-coconut-guava. Their chamango is also solid (can pick flavors) and perfect with the squeeze of lime and spicy chamoy with a tamarind straw. They used to be cash only, but now accept card with a processing fee (but support these small businesses!! use cash!).

New places adventures continues…read more. Visited Uncle Tetsu on a recommendation as being a place to catch some delicious sweets . The place is owned by Panda Express - lets go! Upon entry I was greeted with a smile and very friendly welcome. Mentioned that it was my first time visiting and asked for some customer favorites. Say no more. I was offered sample after sample and what a nice add. 4-samples later I placed my order. A Mango Burnt Basque Cheesecake was the choice and a iced matcha latte to wash it down. All in all friendly staff, nicely kept venue, and quite a few samples. This place is New Adventures Places approved
