A leftover piece of pie, still delicious and waiting for me to gobble it up.

I wanted to get a great apple pie for my dad's 100th birthday and Courtney provided exactly what I was hoping for. The pie was chock-full of fresh apples, cooked perfectly and not too sweet or mushy. The crust was so good, that I ate every bite--as did everyone else at the table. We also ordered a small strawberry rhubarb pie, which was bursting with delicious fresh berries. Everybody at the celebration loved them, especially my dad. Courtney obviously puts a lot of care into her desserts, and she also answered all my questions promptly and thoroughly. Yes, it costs more than store bought, but it was worth every penny--and the large pie easily served 8 people. I heartily recommend Loveday Kitchen's apple pie and I'm very happy that I've got some left over to finish today.

Courtney is amazing. I ordered several vegan and gluten free mini pies for Thanksgiving for my family who has different diets needs. Not only are these pies beautiful, but my cousin (Gluten Free) said they were the best GF pies she's ever had. The gluten free pumpkin cheesecake was out of this world yummy. You can tell the thought and care Courtney puts into her baking and her business. She even messaged me to check if we were celiac or not because she would prepare differently if needed. I can't recommend her enough. We will be ordering our holiday pies from her from now on. Yummmm!!!!

I got the pie sampler apple pie, bourbon pecan, hot chocolate and salted honey. They were all very good. I love the unique flavors . The salted honey was my favorite.

    MAC & CHEESE hand pies!

The cashier at the front was friendly, welcoming, and patient while we looked over the menu. Now let's get down to business... the food! 8/10 Banana OREO Pancakes Great pancakes ! You'd think it would be overwhelmingly sweet, but it wasn't at all. The pancake batter itself was fluffy, moist, buttery... just perfect. 5/10 Crab Omelette lt wasn't dry and had a buttery flavor, but something about the crab tasted fishy. The spinach and mushrooms are great.Just not my cup of tea. 4/10 PotatoesThe potatoes on the side were cooked perfectly and cut into large pieces, which I liked. However, I felt they lacked seasoning. After a few bites, you kind of get over it. 6/10 Mexican Iced Chocolate Pretty straight forward tasted like a light chocolate.More like milk with a whisper of Mexican chocolate. 6/10 Pineapple Juice Refreshing and tasted freshly made. You could tell because of the pulp. Only Complaint:They forgot our pineapple juice, and when the server was about to bring it over, the cashier stopped them and said, "Wait, come over here! Let me see!" Then once he saw us, he said, "Okay..."We had gotten our food to go received the food no pineapple juice. A few min before we got the Whisper... chocolate. On a hot day, waiting for drinks? Not cool. Total: Over $50 for 2 people. The portions are large, but for the quality and presentation, I'd say it's a bit overpriced. Would I recommend it? Yes...

She asked if we can go so we went around 1pm on a Saturday before her eye appt. Cute family owned shop and the wait wasn't long at all. We waited no more than 10 mins. We chose to sit inside, but they also have patio seating as well. We quickly ordered their My pistachio latte and cafe latte. The Cafe latte came out really hot (which is what we wanted) but my pistachio latte was lukewarm and it had more of a Matcha flavor to it than pistachio. Both looked so cute and tasted good but I preferred their cafe latte. My aunt ordered their American Breakfast and I ordered their Good Morning Omelette (basically build your own omelette). Their dishes were really good, especially their home fries. My aunts eggs and bacon came out perfect. My omelette tasted really fresh with lots of fresh veggies, like spinach, mushrooms, and ham. The only hiccup that we had was that the food took almost an hour to come out. I think they had an issue with the ticket, and didn't get put in so it came out way later. Our waiter Fabian was very apologetic and gave us a discount on our bill. Because of the friendly service and the good food, we will definitely be back to try other items.

The café has a bright, cozy, and exceptionally clean interior that's perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a relaxing afternoon treat. Ordering was quick and convenient through the self-service kiosk. While our food took a little longer to arrive, the wait was completely understandable since the soufflé pancakes are freshly made to order, and the quality was well worth the extra time. **Crème Brûlée Soufflé Pancakes: 5/5** The crème brûlée soufflé pancakes were an absolute delight from the very first bite. Their signature jiggly texture was complemented by an airy, pillowy, melt-in-your-mouth interior that almost resembled a cloud. A crisp layer of caramelized sugar on top provided the signature crème brûlée experience, cracking satisfyingly with each bite before giving way to the soft pancakes beneath. Rich yet not overly sweet, the silky custard sauce added a luscious creaminess that complemented the subtle eggy flavor of the soufflé pancakes perfectly. A generous serving of fresh fruit on the side introduced a refreshing sweetness that balanced the richness of the dessert, creating a dessert that felt indulgent yet wonderfully balanced. Motto Tea Cafe truly delivers when it comes to authentic Japanese soufflé pancakes. Every detail, from the freshly prepared desserts to the beautiful presentation, reflects the care that goes into each creation. I'll definitely be back to try more of their seasonal soufflé pancake offerings and explore the rest of their pastry selection!

WOW! Each bite felt like a warm, decadent cloud. (Important Note: These Pancakes have a LONG wait. Each Jiggly Pancake had an expected 20 to 30 minute preparation time. Also, I recommend eating it dine-in. If you wait too long, these fluffy treats promptly get mushy.) I arrived at Motto Tea Cafe (San Gabriel) on Wednesday (11AM - Opening Time). Parking is easy. There's an underground lot for extra parking. Customers primarily order at the self-service kiosk. Customers must pay with card and insert phone number in the kiosk, but Customers can pay cash at the counter. Dine in customers grab a metal number that's stacked between the kiosks. Staff spoke limited English, but Staff is professional, diligent, and accommodating. My order took 24 minutes. As mentioned, I love the Creme Brûlée Soufflé Pancake ($17.50). It's plated and presented lovingly and seductively. It's memorable. With each motion, I bit hard onto its fluffy, lightly sweetened body. I savored how the creme brûlée's creamy sauce dribbled. It's layered, supple, and thick. I shake the plate. It dances. On ambiance, Motto Tea Cafe (San Gabriel) is comfortable. There's about seven interior tables and two counters. The music is slow-tempo and gentle. And it's clean. There's also a gender neutral restroom for customers. Overall, I created lovely memories at Motto Tea Cafe (San Gabriel). The wait is extremely long, but I found contentment at this journey's end. If you love wiggly pancakes & have plenty of time to spare, this is an easy recommendation. 4.8 out of 5

My mom enjoyed it, and I think it's already lightly dressed, but they still gave more dressing on the side? -Savory Japanese Monte Cristo French Toast, while I didn't try this, my mom says she liked this dish very much. Served with potatoes and salad. -Taro Sago Souffle Pancakes were delicious. Light, fluffy, bouncy and *not too sweet* -- really enjoyed this! They do serve it with a tiny scoop of ice cream, that I mistook for butter/cream, lol, but it melts quickly so if you're wanting this as a dessert/finisher, I'd probably say to wait for it at the end.
