    Three different empanadas
    Amanda B.

The empanadas were great! I had never had them, so my brother and I split the classic beef, chicken, and pulled pork empanadas. I had a hard time picking a favorite actually but he liked the chicken best. I'll definitely be coming back for more. I was expecting to not be a fan of the hard boiled eggs inside or the vinegar-y dipping sauce but no, I loved the whole thing!

Delicious variety of authentic empanadas and great, friendly customer service! I would have included a picture of the empanadas but they are so good I was not thinking of taking pictures....;-)

First time eating Mommies Empanadas and it did not disappoint. I like the variety of empanadas. They had lots of meat and cheese packed inside. Will definitely come back for more.

It was early so the dining room had only two or three occupied tables and no one at the bar in the back yet. I was greeted immediately and waited a short time for my order to be ready. All the way home I could smell delicious odors from the bag! I ordered Churrasco de Entrada which is grilled skirt steak with chimichurri sauce and two sides. The steak was amazing! Tender, juicy, melted in my mouth. I had grilled vegetables and baked potato for sides. The vegetables were a mixture of broccoli, cauliflower, pea pods, carrots, and zucchini. They were cooked well and flavored with garlic. The foil packet of potatoes contained three small round potatoes also perfectly cooked through not seasoned at all. The meal came with three small dinner rolls and a few packets of butter. Everything was flavorful and delicious; garlic was quite strong though which I loved but might not be everyone's liking. I also ordered Alfajores from the bakery section for dessert. These are little sandwiches with soft shortbread cookies on the outside and soft dulce de leche and coconut filling between them. Four came in the box. This meal was at least two servings for me and it was a wonderful experience. I look forward to eating in the restaurant next time.

The location is in a small plaza with hard time to park because of the amount of businesses around. The restaurant is big with a lot of tables and good for big groups but too dark for my taste, the windows are so dark from outside that if it wasn't for the " open" sign you would think it is close. The food is good, I liked the quality of the chorizo and the skirt steak was grilled properly. I wished the fries were "fresh-cut", I understand that frozen fries are easier but a good steak deserves good fries. Another thing that lowers the experience is that the condiments like ketchup and mayonnaise are in packets like a fast food chain. The service was standard, I had to call my server everytime I wanted a refill. ( even thought the restaurant wasn't full).

Our server was knowledgeable and informative throughout the meal. The food was served on hot plates, which was a nice touch, and everything arrived at the proper temperature. The steak was cooked exactly as requested, and all of the sides were flavorful. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate cake and the bananas Foster. The presentation of the chocolate cake was appealing, but the taste was just average, it seemed as though it had been sitting out for a while. The bananas Foster was also average; it could have been cooked a bit longer, and the presentation was somewhat sloppy. Overall, the service was acceptable, but given how slow the restaurant was, I expected a more attentive and welcoming experience from the moment we arrived. Based on the visit and experience I'm not eager to return or recommend to others.

The food itself was very good, and accidents certainly happen. During our meal, however, a food runner spilled gravy all over my daughter's hair, shirt, and pants. While the spill itself was upsetting, what disappointed us most was the lack of concern and follow-up from management afterward. We remained calm, understanding, and did not make a scene. My daughter was covered in sauce in her hair, blouse and white pants and had plans afterward that had to be canceled because she needed to go home and change. Despite this, no manager came to check on her, apologize directly to her, or ask if there was anything they could do to help make the situation right. Instead, we were told from across the table that the gratuity would be removed from the bill. While we appreciated the gesture, it felt like the minimum response to a situation that significantly impacted a guest's experience. A sincere apology and genuine concern would have gone a long way. Again, the food was excellent, and this review is not about an honest mistake by a staff member. It is about how management responds when something goes wrong. Hospitality is measured not only by the quality of the meal but by how guests are treated when issues arise. In this case, Pampas fell short, and I hope management uses this as an opportunity to improve.

My group of 4 and I came in around 9:05pm for our reservation at 9:00pm and were told our table wasn't ready. We went to grab a drink at the bar but ended up unfortunately waiting about an hour to be completely sat (about 10:10pm). The location was VERY busy, almost difficult to walk through with the amount of people standing around waiting to get sat, but just wish it would have been a quicker turnaround time, especially with the reservation being booked. Now onto the good! Our server and server assistant Mitch were both lovely. Mitch came by frequently to take our order and check up on us. The food and drinks were INCREDIBLE! We got the some tapas, including potatoes, croquettes, empanadas, tomatoes and meatballs and everything was top tier. Quite an affordable night out if you end up sharing a bunch of dishes. The white sangria was also amazing. Very floral but in a not over powering way. We ended up choosing street parking a street down and were able to walk right to the restaurant with no issues. Would definitely love to give this place another try as it seems very promising but maybe on a less busy night.

We were in Atlanta visiting family, who keep kosher, and scheduled a birthday dinner at Fuego…read moreMundo. I've only been in kosher restaurants a few times - and they were delis. However, I kept kosher when I raised my children, so I'm no stranger to observance. We started off with an order of the Fuego Animal Fries for the table. French fries topped with brisket, red onions, green chiles and queso sauce. The appetizer was excellent! See the attached picture, which tells a thousand words! The brisket was lean and tender, and braised perfectly. The red onions were sautéed and added such depth with the cheese and chiles! Next up, the Fried Cauliflower; crisp florets with a horseradish-roasted garlic aioli. The cauliflower was fried with a crispy, flavorful breading, and was tender inside. The horseradish sauce was very good and I dipped every bite. The last appetizer, the Southwest Rolls, fell short of expectations - most people didn't finish theirs. It's not that it had a 'bad taste', but the texture inside was really strange. It tasted sandy, or powdery to me - not what you would expect from a roll stuffed with brisket, black beans, corn and peppers. Maybe the beans were the reason; whatever, the recipe needs serious adjustment. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries for my main course. I was trying to decide between the brisket sandwich or the fried chicken sandwich-after the brisket and fries appetizer, I almost went with the brisket, but decided last minute to go with the 'Schnitzel Sandwich', as it's called. We all know what the term 'schnitzel' means when it comes to meats - pounding it down to about a 1/4 inch thick, breading and frying. In this dish, the chicken is pounded and fried - I was surprised to see, not one schnitzel, but two in my sandwich - see attached picture. It was a tasty chicken sandwich - it was tender - but, since it's so thin, it wasn't juicy - but, wasn't dry either. I prefer a large piece of meat when having fried chicken, but it was fine. Overall, I enjoyed the lunch at Fuego. If I return, I'm definitely trying the brisket sandwich!

The short ribs were incredibly tender and packed with flavor, the lobster fritters were perfectly crisp on the outside while staying light and flavorful, and the lobster tail was cooked beautifully. For our entrées, we ordered the scallops, a 10 oz ribeye, and a side of onion rings. Everything was cooked to perfection. The scallops had an amazing sear and melted in your mouth, while the ribeye was exactly as ordered juicy, flavorful, and expertly prepared. Even the onion rings were outstanding: crispy, well-seasoned, and a perfect complement to the meal. From the food to the execution, every dish was on point. It was good, but for the price and lack of seasoning/taste, I expected a little more. I remembered the lobster fritters and the creamed corn but everything else was left to be desired because I feel like it needed more seasoning. The second time, I went back and took my partner for his birthday. Our server was Nicole, she was a sweetheart. We started with the fritters which were great even though I don't really do fried food but the aïoli they put on the bottom really helps add some flavor. He ordered the 16 ounce ribeye I believe, I ordered the 6 ounce fillet, he ordered creamed spinach, mac & cheese, and I got the creamed corn, half portion or the seasonal risotto and they were able to steam broccoli for me. We used the garlic butter from our steaks to pour on top of our broccoli. I wished it was a little bit more steamed and flavorful but since they did it for me as a favor I didn't want to send it back. The risotto was good, I don't think it's worth $16 for just artichoke and it had some sort of red pepper chimichurri I think. It was very good but it was very oily so I'm glad I got a half portion. The creamed corn is amazing as usual and my partner liked his sides. We both enjoyed our steaks, they were perfectly seasoned, had a great sear on it, and just like butter, cooked perfectly! I ate about half of my steak and had a lot of sides still left over so it was perfect for a meal the next day. We also got a free dessert, whatever he wanted even though he wasn't impressed with anything on the menu but I loved my tres leches cake!! It was small but rich, honestly the perfect size. Overall I spent a little over $300 and only had one glass of wine with food. It is pricey, but t second trip made up for it and I'll be back!
