    Three different empanadas

The empanadas were great! I had never had them, so my brother and I split the classic beef, chicken, and pulled pork empanadas. I had a hard time picking a favorite actually but he liked the chicken best. I'll definitely be coming back for more. I was expecting to not be a fan of the hard boiled eggs inside or the vinegar-y dipping sauce but no, I loved the whole thing!

Delicious variety of authentic empanadas and great, friendly customer service! I would have included a picture of the empanadas but they are so good I was not thinking of taking pictures....;-)

First time eating Mommies Empanadas and it did not disappoint. I like the variety of empanadas. They had lots of meat and cheese packed inside. Will definitely come back for more.

It was early so the dining room had only two or three occupied tables and no one at the bar in the back yet. I was greeted immediately and waited a short time for my order to be ready. All the way home I could smell delicious odors from the bag! I ordered Churrasco de Entrada which is grilled skirt steak with chimichurri sauce and two sides. The steak was amazing! Tender, juicy, melted in my mouth. I had grilled vegetables and baked potato for sides. The vegetables were a mixture of broccoli, cauliflower, pea pods, carrots, and zucchini. They were cooked well and flavored with garlic. The foil packet of potatoes contained three small round potatoes also perfectly cooked through not seasoned at all. The meal came with three small dinner rolls and a few packets of butter. Everything was flavorful and delicious; garlic was quite strong though which I loved but might not be everyone's liking. I also ordered Alfajores from the bakery section for dessert. These are little sandwiches with soft shortbread cookies on the outside and soft dulce de leche and coconut filling between them. Four came in the box. This meal was at least two servings for me and it was a wonderful experience. I look forward to eating in the restaurant next time.

The location is in a small plaza with hard time to park because of the amount of businesses around. The restaurant is big with a lot of tables and good for big groups but too dark for my taste, the windows are so dark from outside that if it wasn't for the " open" sign you would think it is close. The food is good, I liked the quality of the chorizo and the skirt steak was grilled properly. I wished the fries were "fresh-cut", I understand that frozen fries are easier but a good steak deserves good fries. Another thing that lowers the experience is that the condiments like ketchup and mayonnaise are in packets like a fast food chain. The service was standard, I had to call my server everytime I wanted a refill. ( even thought the restaurant wasn't full).

There were 10 of us and we all did the $66 option, everything was so good. The meat was flavorful and just kept coming. I was a little worried at first because I've heard it can take a while, but they started bringing meat out almost immediately and kept checking on us the whole time. We also tried the $10 hibiscus cocktail and it was really good. Both birthday girls got a free dessert, which was such a nice touch. We were seated right away even with a big group, and the whole vibe was perfect for celebrating. Definitely one of my favorite birthday experiences, I'd 100% go back.

Without giving too much detailed at the risk of being long winded, I'll try my best to summarize. I patiently waited around for the meat selections to come around. (I felt so awkward in the middle of the floor having to wait 10-15 min at a time for someone to come by with some meat. The ambiance was crowded. Half the restaurant was empty tables and chairs. So all the guest forced to sit in one section with servers being and soooo busy traveling quickly through guests tables, it felt stifling and anxious. I heard unprofessional conversations at the host stand. (Maybe because they speak Spanish, they don't anticipate people understanding the profanity they're using.) The one time I ask for service (by raising my hand to get attention) some short, flat headed server dismissed TF out of me. Saying, with an attitude, that he'd be right with me and never addressed me after. Then I'm asked what would I like for dessert (by the kind manager. She was the best part of the evening). Once I put in my "special" bday dessert to go...some bald headed server comes and literally tosses my dessert on the table while flying to another table to do something else. I say thank you to him and he says NOTHING. (Although the dessert was complimentary, the energy behind it was trash and I don't even want to eat it.) I'm very sad that I chose to come here tonight to celebrate my special day. I'll make sure that if I come back, it's means nothing. Thankfully my son was oblivious to the poor service. He seemed to have had a great time.

We arrived on time for our 6:40 PM reservation but were asked to allow five to ten minutes to clear the table. We waited about 30 minutes, witnessing the same hosts telling everyone after us the same story about waiting only an additional five to ten minutes to clear the table. Some of those groups were seated before us though we were there first! I had to walk up to remind them of my party's name and reservation! The empanadas were very delicious. Soft drinks are NOT refillable. The steaks were excellent with a grilled taste, the perfect texture, and a great flavor. The sides were not that great. We had lobster Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were instant mashed potatoes, and the Mac and cheese didn't have enough lobster in it. It also could have had more sauce. I did not like the flan at all; all I could taste was condensed milk. My husband and kids liked the chocolate cake, which I did not taste (not a chocolate lover). I also bought the confetti cake for home, which I really did not like. The icing was just way too light. Maybe someone else may appreciate that, but I don't like moose-like icings that have to be refrigerated. I do not think it was worth the $415 price tag. It was okay, but I probably won't return. In total, I purchased three 8.oz center cut filets, one order of empanadas, one order of mashed potatoes, one order of Mac and cheese, two Coke zeros, three sweet teas, a confetti cake, a chocolate cake, and flan. I could have saved about $56 if I hadn't gotten any dessert. I wish I hadn't.

My group of 4 and I came in around 9:05pm for our reservation at 9:00pm and were told our table wasn't ready. We went to grab a drink at the bar but ended up unfortunately waiting about an hour to be completely sat (about 10:10pm). The location was VERY busy, almost difficult to walk through with the amount of people standing around waiting to get sat, but just wish it would have been a quicker turnaround time, especially with the reservation being booked. Now onto the good! Our server and server assistant Mitch were both lovely. Mitch came by frequently to take our order and check up on us. The food and drinks were INCREDIBLE! We got the some tapas, including potatoes, croquettes, empanadas, tomatoes and meatballs and everything was top tier. Quite an affordable night out if you end up sharing a bunch of dishes. The white sangria was also amazing. Very floral but in a not over powering way. We ended up choosing street parking a street down and were able to walk right to the restaurant with no issues. Would definitely love to give this place another try as it seems very promising but maybe on a less busy night.

We were in Atlanta visiting family, who keep kosher, and scheduled a birthday dinner at Fuego…read moreMundo. I've only been in kosher restaurants a few times - and they were delis. However, I kept kosher when I raised my children, so I'm no stranger to observance. We started off with an order of the Fuego Animal Fries for the table. French fries topped with brisket, red onions, green chiles and queso sauce. The appetizer was excellent! See the attached picture, which tells a thousand words! The brisket was lean and tender, and braised perfectly. The red onions were sautéed and added such depth with the cheese and chiles! Next up, the Fried Cauliflower; crisp florets with a horseradish-roasted garlic aioli. The cauliflower was fried with a crispy, flavorful breading, and was tender inside. The horseradish sauce was very good and I dipped every bite. The last appetizer, the Southwest Rolls, fell short of expectations - most people didn't finish theirs. It's not that it had a 'bad taste', but the texture inside was really strange. It tasted sandy, or powdery to me - not what you would expect from a roll stuffed with brisket, black beans, corn and peppers. Maybe the beans were the reason; whatever, the recipe needs serious adjustment. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries for my main course. I was trying to decide between the brisket sandwich or the fried chicken sandwich-after the brisket and fries appetizer, I almost went with the brisket, but decided last minute to go with the 'Schnitzel Sandwich', as it's called. We all know what the term 'schnitzel' means when it comes to meats - pounding it down to about a 1/4 inch thick, breading and frying. In this dish, the chicken is pounded and fried - I was surprised to see, not one schnitzel, but two in my sandwich - see attached picture. It was a tasty chicken sandwich - it was tender - but, since it's so thin, it wasn't juicy - but, wasn't dry either. I prefer a large piece of meat when having fried chicken, but it was fine. Overall, I enjoyed the lunch at Fuego. If I return, I'm definitely trying the brisket sandwich!

The scallops had an amazing sear and melted in your mouth, while the ribeye was exactly as ordered juicy, flavorful, and expertly prepared. It was good, but for the price and lack of seasoning/taste, I expected a little more. I remembered the lobster fritters and the creamed corn but everything else was left to be desired because I feel like it needed more seasoning. The second time, I went back and took my partner for his birthday. Our server was Nicole, she was a sweetheart. We started with the fritters which were great even though I don't really do fried food but the aïoli they put on the bottom really helps add some flavor. He ordered the 16 ounce ribeye I believe, I ordered the 6 ounce fillet, he ordered creamed spinach, mac & cheese, and I got the creamed corn, half portion or the seasonal risotto and they were able to steam broccoli for me. We used the garlic butter from our steaks to pour on top of our broccoli. I wished it was a little bit more steamed and flavorful but since they did it for me as a favor I didn't want to send it back. The risotto was good, I don't think it's worth $16 for just artichoke and it had some sort of red pepper chimichurri I think. It was very good but it was very oily so I'm glad I got a half portion. The creamed corn is amazing as usual and my partner liked his sides. We both enjoyed our steaks, they were perfectly seasoned, had a great sear on it, and just like butter, cooked perfectly! I ate about half of my steak and had a lot of sides still left over so it was perfect for a meal the next day. We also got a free dessert, whatever he wanted even though he wasn't impressed with anything on the menu but I loved my tres leches cake!! It was small but rich, honestly the perfect size. Overall I spent a little over $300 and only had one glass of wine with food. It is pricey, but t second trip made up for it and I'll be back!
