No matter when I come to Barcelona and no matter what location I go to it is always a great time to have great food and great wine and a lot of times there's good company at bar. Never any complaints.

    Gin & Jus

This drink is SO good. It's the Gin & Jus. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun vibes in here too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only thing is the drinks took a little while but it's like peak busyness on a Saturday night so

We had such a positive experience at Barcelona for brunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We went very early, 11:30 AM, and it was pretty empty in there so it was nice to experience the restaurant and it wasn't loud and crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered so many things! For beverages we ordered one wine fly, red sangria, that we weren't very impressed with, and a cocktail that was like the bees knees. I think the drinks were OK. One of the things that I always note when I go to Barcelona is that the sangria seems very watered down and doesn't give you that Spanish true feeling of Of a a good sangria. For our food, we ordered a bunch of tacos, of course! We ordered croquettes, a charcuterie board to begin, spinach and chickpeas, grilled prawns, meatballs, beef, empanadas, acorn, squash, and a bunch of other things. I think the food was OK. The portion size for what we ordered and the amount that we ordered made sense. Overall, I'm just not very impressed with Barcelona in general, I feel like there are much better top of restaurants in the city, and even though the food was good, it didn't have a true depth the flavor and most of the dishes were missing something to me! A lot of the dishes needed more spice, so the dishes were seasoned, but didn't have flavor, it was all very hit and miss. But in all honesty, I think my review is this high because of the staff here. Everyone was really nice and made it a point to make our experience pleasant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Again, we were the first reservation seated for the day so the restaurant was quiet and not busy. There was a DJ![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Love this place !!!!!! Love the atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They were out of alot of things and the server seem like he had or was having a rough night , hence the menus still on the table . [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat at high top table which was very small considering it's small plates/tapas[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . But as long as the server pre bus you'll be fine however my sever did not. I still had a good time the food was tasty ! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like the area it was a nice outing[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

One thing about me, I love and appreciate a tapas restaurant. To be able to order different food and share is definitely my favorite type of way to eat. I've been here multiple times & you can never go wrong with Gambas Al Ajillo or the Patatas Bravas. The octopus is a hit or miss sometimes it's very tender and sometimes tough a chewy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love sitting out in the patio when I come here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is always great , everytime I've gone a manager comes by to greet us and make sure everything is good

Great spot for some drinks and tapas but a few things that gave it 4 stars. We had reservations but it took awhile to get us seated. Then they didn't bring out bread until halfway through our meal. The sangria was delicious and most of everything we ordered was good. We were warned Paella would take an hour and since we weren't in a rush, we ordered it. Yup, it took about an hour. It was ok! A bit mushy and flavor was ok. All in all, a beautiful restaurant and good ambience.

Barcelona is always on and popping and this location on north highland ave is no different. Lots of beautiful people, delicious tapas and drinks. I stopped by while I waited for my reservation time at another restaurant. I had the Prawns a la parilla while my friend had the calamari la plancha (our go to many nights ) while we enjoyed, we weren't wowed, maybe another night. My drink was tasty, not too sweet. All in all a great place to pop in to meet friends, bar hop, or a cute date

Barcelona wine bar is perf for a date or girls night! I went twice at different times in the evening and the ambience was really nice both times. The food came relatively fast and the staff is very helpful about any food restrictions. My favorite is the patatas bravas and chicken thigh. The bacon wrapped dates are definitley worth trying and I've had the paella before and enjoyed it. My friend said the calamari was good as well.

I love Barcelona. I was familiar with this restaurant because we have one in Charlotte also. I found the size of this particular location to be good, with plenty of seating, both indoor and outdoor. When we visited, it was a perfect night for sitting outdoors, so we did and enjoyed the service on the patio. The manager greeted us upon arrival, seated us and gave a recommendation for wine, which was half off on the day that we visited so we got a bottle. Tried various dishes, which all came out promptly and were seasoned well and tasted good. The servers were all extremely nice, and went above and beyond to make Our visit memorable. I find the prices to be reasonable, and the portions are perfect for sharing. I also had to order sangria, which I love so much, theirs always very flavorful and refreshing.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Really a nice vibe! Very lively even for a Monday evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got there a few minutes after our reservation but were still able to be seated. We got the standard charcuterie board, brussels sprouts, cabbage, salmon, sweet potato etc. And we also tried a white wine and both of the sangrias. It was a great night and our waitresses were very knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive. For parking, park in the lot right beside the restaurant and they will validate upon entry.

This is a cool tapas & winery bar at Inman Park. All the small plates we ordered were delicious. The shrimp gambas were a standout & the empanadas were packed with flavor. Long & plentiful list of wines. The Olive cake was to die for, light & fluffy. A must try!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]One of my favorite wine bars!! Beautiful place to take a friend or yourself and enjoy some great tapas![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love their patio area and their inside area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's always busy so you should definitely book reservations unless you're dropping by for a drink. Such a lively spot and the best charcuterie board selections. This is an Atlanta staple and a must try if you've never been. I always have this on rotation for my out of town friends.

Omg! We had the most amazing time! There was a woman that was the general manager for the night and I wish I remembered her name but she took such good care of us this past cinco de mayo weekend! It was so busy and she not only brought out additional seating for us but sent us a tapa for our time! Top tier service from both her and the server! The ambiance is amazing, very rustic, very grown and sexy. The trout a la plancha was out of this world ! We also received the drunken goat cheese and I am drooling thinking about it. Gambas al ajillo is also a must! We had so much bread which is always fresh and warm! It's a must go- and I haven't even touched the wine but the selection is vast!

    Chicken thigh. Super good!

Barcelona Wine Bar Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Barcelona Wine Bar

    Is there happy hour?

Unknown. But the weekend brunch is fun and quiet.

Any chance of basque cheesecake being on the dessert menu from time to time?

It is on the menu yes.

When are 1/2 priced wine nights now? I don't see any info lately on their website

Hey Susy, thanks so much for reaching out. We don't have our half-priced bottle nights at the moment, but we do always have a selection of our favorite bottles available for take home at 50% off. Hope to hang out again soon!

    Are there gluten free options?

Definitely. The menu is tapas so there are several different options for all dietary needs. Just ask your waiter

    Do you still allow dogs?

Yes... we are very dog friendly.

Is it easy to find parking ? How much is valet?

Free valet with validation. There is a parking garage close by (paid) and some street parking (difficult to find)

Why is this place not good for kids?

Well it's a wine bar and they don't have a kid friendly menu .

    Do they have vegan options?

Plenty of vegan tapas-- shishito peppers, patatas bravas (be sure to order them crispy!), eggplant, heirloom tomato salad, etc. to name a few. I would guess in the range of 6-10.

Do they still offer half price bottles of wine? If so, on what days?

    Yes, Mondays

The food was exceptional, everything we ordered was delicious, and there wasn't a single dish that disappointed. The covered patio is beautiful and much quieter than the rest of the restaurant. This is a fusion spot with mostly Spanish and Latin American influences. The food isn't the best you've ever had, but it's decent and the restaurant's neighborhood is cute and fun. It's a great place to hang out for the day, and Bar.bacoa is a good choice if you have 3 people or less in your party. The group size is about maximizing the value you get here. The portion sizes are small for tapas. The paella was $24 but would be hard-pressed to feed just two people. The ham and cheese empanadas were $12 and came with two empanadas. These rates aren't bad for tapas if your group is small, but any group larger than 3 is going to start losing on the value-to-price ratio. When it comes to the tacos, they're $6 each for tacos that are not new or outstanding, so I would lean on the tapas instead.

I hope I get the parking situation right but she directed me to a lot, that you pay via either an app or website. She took care of it so I'm not sure. Just be sure to pay because she mentioned that enforcement is serious out there. Walk down to the beltline and you should be able to find it. If not, GPS it. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Tables and seating at the bar. We chose a table opposite the bar and had a great tapas dinner. Picanha a la Parrilla Pulpo a la Gallega Tomate Fresco Patatas Bravas Tuna Crudo Bruselas Enjoyed the tapas. I didn't list them in any particular order but I will say I liked the Tomate the least. The rest, I'd order again or eat on a return visit and if the table ordered it. I'd pass on the Tomate. I guess I was looking for stronger seasoning or more flavor. Service was hit and miss. Friendly and nice but either was intentionally leaving us alone to talk because he did swing by a few times before we placed our order - because we were catching up. A few times I had to ask other servers for help, including asking to close out the tab when it was time to head out. There were other items on the menu I would have loved to try if I had more room so it'll have to be on my next visit. I know there are a few locations in the Atlanta area but I did like the the feel and vibe of the beltline area too - enough to go right back.

This one is new and it's off the belt line and it's in a really good spot though. That's the selling point of it all. As you know if you're coming on the Beltline, you gotta worry about parking so you can kinda get it how you like it. There are plenty of spots to go to if you want to go ahead and do a lot or find some neighborhood parking . With this new Eclipse you can sit inside and check out the views or you can sit outside and just sit under the fans and people-watch. That could probably be the best option just because you're right on the belt line so you get a good view of everything but if it's too hot then that's going to be an issue lol . We just went for drinks just to stop off before we went elsewhere along the Beltline because everything is very walkable. It's easy to go ahead and duck in and off of the Beltline so this will be a good spot but I've been to eclipse plenty of times elsewhere and I know that the food is solid no matter what you're doing. I can't say that I would go back there to eat because I've already eaten there and I know what I like and I know what to expect but if you haven't been the food is actually really good. I started off with a spicy margarita. It got me where I needed to be. That's the important part LOL. Service was really good. It was really crowded when we went and we were just trying to catch a vibe before we started off the Beltline. They made a space for us at the sitting area, right where the door was, so we can actually be indoors and still see outdoors. That was really nice of them. Service was great. Can't complain about that. This looks like a smaller one but at the same time it's still built into the belt line so it actually wins because of location. Other ones have larger dance floors that you can dance at, I guess, so it's a different story. This one still has its own charm. Overall it is what you expect from an eclipse so it's not like I'm telling you anything that you don't know because I'm assuming you've been to at least one of them before. This one is the newest one and it is in a perfect area so if you are ducking in and off of the belt line, this would be a good spot to go ahead and grab some papas bravas and a margarita.

The hightop tables were a bit too high for us, but the other traditional seating was great with a candle at every table. We ordered all types of things. The pulpo (octopus) and baked mussels really stood out as our favorites. Owner/manager came out to speak with us. He and his staff clearly care about creating a great business with the best Spanish dishes in the area. Give this spot a try--you won't regret it!

The ambiance is classy while not being stuffy, with business casual dress code. All of the staff were welcoming and kind to us, from the hostess to our waitress to the food runners. We shared several tapas: paella verduras, Pulpo parrilla (grilled octopus), Pan con tomate, empanadas with beef, Calamares fritos (calamari) , Espárragos (asparagus), and Patatas bravas. Everything was absolutely delicious! One of my favorite items of the night was the bread with tomato (pan con tomate)! The bread was toasted perfectly and came with garlic and grated tomato to spread on it, along with a sprinkling of greens. My typical favorite at Spanish restaurants (patatas bravas) was done very well here too, with the right crunch and tasty sauces. The perfectly tender octopus came with a side of beans that I wished to ask for the recipe for because they were seasoned so nicely! The calamari was breaded lightly which allowed the natural flavors to shine. The beef empanadas were juicy and crisp. The asparagus was cooked to perfection. The vegetable paella was also filling and wonderful! We ended our meal with the toffee butter cake which was an absolute dream. We look forward to coming back for more!

HAD A BLAST!!! What a great way to kick-off the Holidays! Tapa Tapa is now an ongoing pop-up…read morerestaurant, so they have different themed venues throughout the year. The Christmas pop-up just began and we were there right soon after they opened their doors ob Tuesday night. If going here doesn't get you in the Christmas festivities mood I don't know what will. The place is over-decorated and that is the point. It is all things Christmas and is warm, comfortable, and an overload for the senses. Lights, decorations, artwork, Christmas movies on their big screen, Christmas music on their speakers all contribute to a fun, lively environment. And, of course, there is also a Christmas-themed drink and tapas menu. Drinks are served in various Christmas glasses and mugs, all of which you can buy to take home if you'd like. They also have a seasonal line-up of craft beer. My wife had a Christmapolitan and I had the Yippie Ki Yay, both were delicious and packed a punch. For food we ordered: Donner & Blitzen (charcuterie board) - simple, yet great tasting meats & veggies Frosty Fries (fries w/warm beer cheese) - even though this was a good amount of fries, we had wished that we ordered two of these because they were that incredibly tasty. The beer cheese is killer with these hand-cut parmesan fries! Felix Navidad (brisket tacos) - these were flavorful, but they were only two small tacos for $11; for the money, I would definitely get something else next time. Gingerbread & Friends (cookies) - we got these for dessert, but would suggest a pass on them as they are just store-bought little cookies that you can ice and add sprinkles. This was a fun, memorable experience and anyone who enjoys the magic of Christmas should find their way to Tapa Tapa before the Christmas pop-up ends after the holidays.
