Great food, generous portions, and a hidden gem amidst the roadwork!…read more I've actually been here before, but the first time around I was so hungry I forgot to take any pictures! This time, my camera ate before I did, ha! Here is a breakdown of what we ordered on this visit: 1. Steamed Chicken Momo: These were perfectly moist with an adequate, well-seasoned filling. Plus, their signature orange sauce never disappoints! 2. Mixed Fried Rice: This came loaded with eggs, chicken, and veggies. Unlike some places where the veggies feel like an afterthought, these tasted fresh. The portion size was great, flavorful and more than enough for two people. 3. Chicken Sizzler: There is nothing like hearing that loud sizzling sound when food is brought to your table! I initially expected it to come with fries and veggies, so I was pleasantly surprised to see it served on top of a huge bed of noodles. It was incredibly tasty. My only minor critique is that the menu just lists the name of the dish without a description. While I could have asked, it would be helpful if the menu explained what the sizzler entails, especially since their other menu items have descriptions. The Perks & Ambiance: Free Tea: A wonderful touch! They offer free, unlimited aromatic hot tea for dine-in customers, served in cute little espresso cups. Service & Seating: There is plenty of seating available. The service is prompt, though you might occasionally need to wave them over to get their attention, but it's definitely not a dealbreaker. Parking & Access Tip: There is ample parking in the complex, but getting to it can be a bit tricky right now due to the ongoing roadwork on Fremont Blvd. From the street, it almost looks like the restaurants in this plaza might be closed, but don't be fooled; they are absolutely up, running, and well worth the visit!

Butter chicken (4/5) - the SAUCE was delicious and semi addictive. I could not get enough of it tbh!! There was a lot of chicken, but it was cut into smaller pieces than I prefer. Overall, a super solid dish. Plain naan was a (5/5) - so soft, thin, and delicious. The lamb kebab (5/5) was great as well! Food was out in ~20 min, and service was polite and friendly. I'd definitely come back to try more food!

My husband and I got the veggie chow mein, veggie momos (dumplings), and split a mango lassi. I found the flavors of the momos to be a bit subtle (unfortunately common for veggie dumplings here in the Bay Area), but the veggie chow mein was decently flavorful. My husband liked both things we got equally, as far as I could tell. The food tasted fresh, and it was nice to be able to pick up a light lunch before continuing to trawl the farmer's market. The mango lassi is exactly what you expect (can you ever go wrong with a mango lassi?), and was nice and refreshing. It's a food truck, so the seating available is probably going to vary a lot based on where you encounter them. At the Fremont farmer's market there were a couple of tables shared between this and another truck, and since we were having a late-ish lunch towards the end of the market, we had no problem getting a table (but there was no chairs). The person at the window was friendly and answered my questions about the food when we were ordering without issue (I am allergic to eggs, so I often have to ask more questions than most people). Overall, not bad and I really appreciate that they have vegetarian options, but what I had is not enough to seek them out specifically.

The first time I tried momo at anoother restaurant, I was surprised at how good & different the sauce was from the Chinese dumplings that I had thousand time before. So, that's why I really want to try Everest's momo. I ordered chicken fried rice & chicken momo. I asked if they could accommodate the fried rice to be not spicy at all for my kid and they said ok. The cashier said it would be about 15-20 minutes for my order, so I went to Target a bit and back after about 30 minutes and my order was ready. They wrapped the food with aluminum foil to keep it somewhat warm. The chicken fried rice was delicious! I wish they put more chicken pieces because my kid loved it! My husband liked the chicken momo. He really likes the sauce that came with it. As for me, the chicken momo was good but I like the sauce from another restaurant better. Overall, the food and the price was good and I will come back to try other menu.

It tastes exactly like the vibrant street food you'd find in Kathmandu or Darjeeling. The Standouts: * Veg Steamed Momos: These are perfection. The dough is rolled thin enough to be delicate but strong enough to hold the generous filling. The vegetable mix inside is finely minced, juicy, and seasoned with that distinct ginger-garlic punch. * The "Momo Achar" (Dipping Sauce): You can't talk about these momos without the sauce. It's a spicy, roasted tomato and sesame chutney that provides the perfect acidic kick to the savory dumplings. * Street Style Chow Mein: This is a nostalgia trip in a bowl. It's got that high-heat "wok hei" (breath of the wok) flavor--smoky, savory, and slightly oily in the best way possible. The noodles have a great bite, tossed with crunchy cabbage, carrots, and onions. This is the ultimate comfort meal. Fast, fresh, and bursting with authentic spices. I absolutely love it!

On this visit, we ordered the Tawa Okra Fry, and it was easily my favorite dish. If you're an okra fan, this one is a must-try. The smaller okra pieces gave it a nice crunch, and it was packed with flavor. We also had the Aloo Gobi, which was excellent. The potatoes and cauliflower were cooked perfectly and coated in a delicious gravy that paired wonderfully with rice and garlic naan. Another standout was the Chicken Tikka Kabab. It was juicy, flavorful, and simply delicious. The service was top-notch, with the staff being friendly and helpful in guiding us through the menu. The restaurant was also very clean and welcoming. Everest is truly a hidden gem in North San Jose and a place I'll definitely be returning to.

I normally avoid Indian food as they tend to be too strong in flavor and too spicy, but this Gobi coconut is not spicy at all and it's some kind of coated cauliflower with a creamy coconuty sauce, I ate a whole plate of it. On the other hand, I don't like their Fish 65 as each piece is so small that I couldn't even believe fish meat can be this small size.
