I love Momos, they are one of my favorite dishes. I went here with a group of 5 and we have been a couple times. The service has always been great and the servers checked on us multiple times ensuring we were good and the food was good. We typically order the noodles, tandoori momos, steamed momos (chicken and lamb), butter chicken and garlic naans. The noodles and steamed momos are my fave and I would get them every time. The butter chicken is pretty good and garlic naan is pretty standard. I've tried their mango lassi and it isn't my fave tbh it tastes like mango rasmalai to me but my friends really liked it. Really wanted to go eat momos one Friday evening after work so I found Momo Grill and figured it'd be a good opportunity to try out a new eatery! I came around 6PM and was seated immediately as a party of one. There were still lots of space in the cozy little restaurant though. Great for a casual, yet intimate dining experience in my opinion. I ordered the chili veg momos and veg vindaloo with garlic naan. The chili momos were delicious, great chili sauce flavor with just a light kick of heat. The momos were plentiful in terms of filling and the crunch from the fresh vegetables on top of the momos added good texture contrast. It was quite a large portion for one person but it'd be great to share! The menu has a variety of meat and vegetarian dishes which is great for people with different food preferences. I ended up getting the veg vindaloo as recommended by the server and it was said to have some heat but I did think it was a bit lacking in spiciness, given I do enjoy some heat in my food though. Nonetheless, the flavors and the vegetables in the dish were great. Paired perfectly with the naan that was buttery, crispy, warm, yet soft. The service was very attentive and checked on me throughout the meal. I do think the prices are a bit on the higher end, my meal ended up being $43 not including tip. However, I think it's a nice place with good food and service so I would recommend giving it a try. read more

What a wonderful Nepalese restaurant in downtown Sunnyvale! I first tried Delhi to Kathmandu just a little further down the street for restaurant week, and we strolled by Momo Grill on our way to the car. Since Delhi to Kathmandu was slightly disappointing, we decided to try Momo Grill next. And we're so glad that we did! The service is quick and friendly, and we are always quickly seated since there's plenty of seating every time we've gone. It was a little chilly the last time we went, but they did notice quickly and closed the door. As for the food, it's great! Their momos are absolutely wonderful! The tandoori and lamb momos are absolutely delicious, and they make me want to keep coming back. The gobi manchurian is also quite good. This is now our go to Nepalese place in the Bay Area, so I hope they keep doing great for a long time! read more

Wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. This was my first time here and everything was sooo good. We shared the Chilli Momo, kinda spicy, so delicious. I got Tandoori Chicken and it came with this delicious green sauce, seriously the best restaurant meal I've had in a few weeks. I also tried the Garlic Naan and wished I could order like 10 more. . And then we were given the Buttered Chicken on accident but Manoj (the owner) ended up letting us try it but took it off our bill ... and oh my Gosh. I'm going to order it next time I come here. This is also coming from someone who's tried Buttered Chicken in the past and didn't like it. Everything was so flavorful, not too heavy, just overall a really great experience. Came here with my mother. It was a weekday during lunch so pretty empty save for a party of 4 in the back. I read the reviews and pretty much all of them said the chicken curry was the best. So we got a chicken curry and a chicken tikka masala. The curry is phenomenal. Chicken is tender and moist and not dry. The curry is nicely spiced and has just the right amount of kick to it. The masala I thought was good but it was a bit sweet. We also got the momos which are little dumplings that look like Shanghai dumplings and those were pretty good too. And you can't go wrong with roti or naan. We got roti. If we were still in the area I'd visit this place more frequently. That's how good it is. My only complaint is it's a little pricey. read more

Normally, I am not a fan of chai, but this one was delicious. The best I've ever had. To share, we ordered the chicken momos steamed, combo chow mein and the lamb curry with garlic naan. Everything was fresh and full of flavor! For dessert, we had the rice pudding. It was very yummy and has a strong saffron flavor. Overall, great experience and I will definitely be back again. Masala chai came in like 4oz tea cup and it's $5, and it didn't even taste decent. What was disappointing was they put an18% gratuity on the bill already without telling us, and we ended up tipping 25% on top of it. Newest Indo-Nepali addition to the already vibrant Sunnyvale downtown restaurant line-up. It's been just a few weeks since their soft opening, so we felt they were still working through some kinks, but we ended up having a good time. Immediately upon entering, I was pretty impressed with the decor and set up. It was spotless clean and very welcoming. We had the Chicken Lollipop (dry), Steamed Chicken Momos, Egg Hakka Chowmein, and the Goat Biryani. Everything was pretty good. The momos were delicate and tasty, the Lollipops were crisp on the outside and succulent on the inside, the Biryani was decent, but if I am being a little picky (as a Biryani snob), it felt a little flat and monotonous - I wish they layered it better, used some fried onions, and used proper Basmati rice. The meat was well cooked though, and the Biryani gradually grew on me. But the standout dish for us was the Chowmein - it took us back to the street-style Chowmein we used to eat in India. It had an amazing smoky flavor, and the noodles were perfectly cooked! We'll be back just for the Chowmein! They also have beers on tap and should also have a full bar pretty soon. But we found it a bit too saucy and wished we had gotten Steamed. Also, the filling seemed to be mostly cabbage and not very flavorful. The Chicken Tikka Masala was pretty good though pretty small for the price and almost all sauce. My wife found it a little too sweet. Fantastic New Spot in Sunnyvale! Tried Momo Grill in Sunnyvale for the first time and it was an absolute delight. Since it's a new restaurant in the area, we weren't sure what to expect -- but it turned out to be a wonderful surprise. We ordered the Spicy Paneer Veg Chowmein, which was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The Paneer Tikka Masala gravy was bomb -- not creamy, but absolutely bursting with bold, vibrant flavors. The Tandoori Veg Momos were another highlight; both the momos and the sauce were mind-blowing. The Gobhi Manchurian was delicious too, with great texture and seasoning. The owner, Manoj, was extremely cordial and welcoming. Even with a big group and no reservation, he accommodated us without hesitation, making the experience even better.
