We loved the authentic Indian Chinese flavor that you get here. Reminds you of the typical taste that you get in northern or north eastern India. The chilly momos were so tasteful. The location of this place is well suited next to clubs but that also a demerit as people who go to the next door club just come over to use the restroom without ordering anything and that turns out to be a nuisance for the owner. Not that restrooms shouldn't be accessible for people, but one should also maintain decency when around. The owner and staffs are very sweet. The schezwan noodles could have been spicier for my taste but my wife loved it. So no complains. Overall, it was worth the buck read more

Did a takeout and ordered below 5/5 chicken lollipop - gravy based and yummy. It was spiced right and perfect to taste. 3.5/5 veg chowmein - this was average and bit on spicier side. We tried a bunch of dishes at Momo Grill yesterday. I really liked the food. This is a neighborhood restaurant that has table service. However, the kitchen is where this restaurant's strength is at. Their wait staff was marginal at best. So let's talk about food... We tried 8 dishes. My favorites were the chicken lollipops(5/5) and their chicken chow mein(5/5). The chow mein noodles had a char/smokey flavor that you get from a screaming hot wok. It was one of the best chow meins I've ever had. However, every other dish we ate was really good as well. The chicken 65 (4/5) had real good flavor but was a little dry and needed a sauce. The Tandoor chicken momos (4/5) were very good, especially dipped in either of the two accompanying dipping sauces. The butter chicken (4/5), chicken tikka masala (4/5), and the dal makhani (4/5) were yummy. The paneer(5/5) in the chili paneer (3/5) had a great texture and flavor. However the sauce was just okay in the chili paneer dish. Next time I will order paneer in their tikka masala sauce. I can see why this restaurant is got a high Yelp rating. Their kitchen staff definitely makes the magic happen at this restaurant. I would probably just do takeout and not deal with the various issues that we observed/experienced with the wait staff. Came here for a quick lunch and ordered takeout. The food was ready surprisingly fast! We only tried the momos, but we absolutely loved them. I usually prefer steamed over fried, and these had the perfect texture with a nice bite to the dough. The flavors were fantastic, and the orange sauce they came with was delicious. I went with a bunch of girlfriends and we ordered their butter chicken (7/10), Tikka Masala (9/10), Naan (8/10), and three types of momos: Steamed Momo (9/10), Fried Momo (7/10), Chili Momo (9.5/10). We went on a Wednesday night and the service was quick. Staff were also sweet and recommended some food items to us. Parking is easy to find as they are located in a lot. Yummy food! We enjoyed butter chicken, palak paneer, tandoori momos, naan, and rice. Spice levels seemed a bit elevated, the "mild" was more like "medium", and the "medium" approached "spicy lover". Came by for lunch the other day and it was a decent experience. Momo Grill is located inside a strip mall with plenty of surface lot parking. They seem to have a food truck too. Dining was available inside the stuffy dining room or on the walkway in front of the restaurant. Menus were presented upon arrival and we were instructed to order with the cashier. Payment was made prior to food order was sent to the kitchen. Staff brought out water to our table outside along with the food. Waitstaff was courteous. Started off with the garlic naan which was fantastic when it was fresh out of the oven. The lamb fried momos were also quite tasty being super fresh with a side of two dipping sauces. The chicken tikka masala was the weakest item with minimal chicken and lots of curry. The chicken wasn't the freshest. ~$25/head after tax and gratuity for lunch. read more

Momo Grill is an easygoing option for momo's and such a chill dinner spot if you're looking for something filling, flavorful and group-friendly. They're easygoing in that you order at the register, and the food is delivered. So there's essentially no table service, although the crew is still very attentive and will come in an check on you every so often. The menu is easy to read, they still have real menus which is a nice thing I forget is still around. We ordered their plain naan (one order was enough for two), fried chicken momos, and butter chicken with mild spiciness. The naan was SO delicious, on the thinner side but so delicious hot. Their fried chicken momos are basically deep fried, so the crust is so deliciously crispy. The momos themselves are a bit smaller than bite-sized but so good. We were very full splitting it between two of us, but it was so worth it. We think we'd get the steamed next time though. Their butter chicken is def on the sweeter side, but so creamy and full of red goodness. We sat outside, as they're dog-friendly! We saw a big group dining indoors, and it seems like a great spot to bring families or even large extended families. You can keep it chill or make it more of a sit-down/full-on meal experience depending on the crowd. I loved the hospitality and service, everybody working FOH was so customer-focused and kind. The momos were good but a little thicker than I remember. Overall a terrific place, though I like their food truck a bit more. A bit too Indian-like for me, as I would have enjoyed actual Nepali food. The service was terrific, though, and the ambiance was very nice, though we did sit in a booth. They said some items were spicy, but we found it all to be rather mild even though we specifically ask for spicy. Either way, we will be going back soon as it is very near the work campus. read more

Momo Grill had great service when we stopped by early for a quick tapas style dinner. We ordered the following 1. Gobi Manchurian: I'm a huge fan of this dish in general, it's one of my favorite appetizers, but I didn't love Momo Grills rendition of this dish. The sauce felt like it had too much vinegar that you taste in a Tabasco style hot sauce. I'm not used Gobi Manchurian tasting like this but the crunch factor was great. 2. Chili Momo Vegetarian: I liked this a lot more than the Gobi. I liked the sauce the and the vegetarian filling. 3. Tandoori Momo Chicken: this was the real winner for me, I loved the tandoor flavoring, the sauces that accompanied it and the chicken filling with tandoor flavor was amazing!! The service here was terrible. We were the only customers in the restaurant today. We were ready to order, but the waitress was walking in and out of the kitchen without taking our order. When I finally ordered, I specifically told her I don't eat spicy food. She replied, "No problem, we can make it not spicy." But when I asked questions about the menu, she responded with a bad attitude. When the food arrived, my very first bite was extremely spicy. My lips started burning and I had to keep drinking water. I decided to just pay and leave, but the waitress disappeared into the kitchen and never came back after dropping off the food. We waited and kept calling out, "Hello? Excuse me?"--but no one responded. In the end, I had to call the restaurant's phone number. She answered, and when I told her we were still in the restaurant waiting, she just said "oh" and hung up on me. After a while, she finally came out, and the first thing she said was, "What? Food is no good?" I ended up paying for food I couldn't even eat. Then she went straight back into the kitchen. No wonder the place was empty--the waitress acted like she didn't want us there. If service stays this bad, I wouldn't be surprised if they close down. read more

Came here tonight for an early dinner! I'm partial to Nepali food; it's so yummie and spicy versus your traditional North Indian cuisine which is so overdone and boring honestly. Lots of black pepper and veggie inside rather are roughly chopped you can clearly see what you're eating. Our oldest who doesn't eat anything except malai paneer loved this! 2) Palak Paneer: lots of soft paneer pieces, so wonderfully spiced (fresh ginger as well). Spinach is chopped (not blended) and it touched my heart . 3) Tadka Dal: ordinary daal but the 2 items above won me over. 4) Tandoori Roti is softer (with butter) than other places. 5) Butter Naan is amazingly soft as well! My friends and I savored some really yum Momos last week. We had tandoori veg , vegetable and non -veg momos with freshly squeezed mint lemonade for dinner. Along with that we chose to have vegetable chowmein and that tasted exactly how it is served back in India. It was well cooked and spicy, we all ordered it twice. The staff was friendly and had a smile on their face all the time. Like we actually cracked some lame jokes with them. This place can accommodate 30-40 people at one go and isn't that busy. They are located in the corner of the plaza with Peet's on the corner of Saratoga Sunnyvale / Prospect, but there's plenty of parking. I ordered the steamed chicken momo, butter naan and chicken tikka masala. Overall it was a very affordable price and tasty meal. The chicken momo filling was a tad salty for my preference, but still tasty. There's also different option for filling/meat for the momo. The butter naan was great as well and good size for $5. The chicken tikka masala was my favorite dish -- the chicken was tender and the flavors were lovely. The spice level for this one can be adjusted, and the medium was great for a tiny bit of spice but nothing too hot. However, most entrees don't come with rice or bread, so order a side to go with! The chicken tikka paired really well with the butter naan. There's a ton of entree and appetizer options, so I'll be back to try something else next time! read more

The guy working the front counter asked if it was our first time and really went into detail describing all the items on the menu. Making recommendations as we asked. You order at the counter and pay, then sit down and they bring your food to you. We got the steamed chicken momos to start. A well-known Nepalese dish, so a must. They came with a mild and super spicy sauce. Everyone at the table preferred the super spicy sauce. We then got the chicken biryani, super yummy. The lamb roganjosh was my favorite, I love lamb so no surprise there. Garlic naan was amazing, kind of wish I had gotten more orders of that. Chicken tikka was okay, too sweet for my liking. Dal makhani was okay, too sweet for my liking. We got everything mild, but I definitely will order medium spicy on my return visit. read more

Yummy! I'm so glad I found this place. I'm not in this area often and was craving Indian food and this place hit the spot. The chai alone (complimentary) made me so happy. It was sweet and gingery and delicious on a cold day. You walk in and order/pay at the counter, they bring the food out to you. I had the chow mein which I asked to be spicy but they didn't believe I could take it so they gave me medium spicy. It wasn't spicy at all. The gobi manchurian was soooooo yummy. The best cozy comfort food for cold weather! Came here as a group of 4 and their portions are amazing.
