Friendly service and delicious food! Came here for dinner with family and ordered the veggie panorama, chili momo with chicken, saag paneer, chicken vindaloo, chicken tikki masala with naan and rice on the side. Flavors and heat were solid. Very nice place to have dinner!

I love Momos, they are one of my favorite dishes. I went here with a group of 5 and we have been a couple times. The service has always been great and the servers checked on us multiple times ensuring we were good and the food was good. We typically order the noodles, tandoori momos, steamed momos (chicken and lamb), butter chicken and garlic naans. The noodles and steamed momos are my fave and I would get them every time. The butter chicken is pretty good and garlic naan is pretty standard. I've tried their mango lassi and it isn't my fave tbh it tastes like mango rasmalai to me but my friends really liked it. Overall, would recommend! The way to get there is a little confusing but that not the stores fault I think that's just how downtown Sunnyvale is.

Decently sized restaurant with friendly staff. First time trying momo, was a large sized dumpling with some spicy dipping sauces on the side. The lamb biryani, the lamb was nice and tender and the rice has nice spices.

We have tried Momo Grill at their other locations Saratoga and the food truck. Excited to see the Sunnyvale location. Loved the ambiance too with Nepalese paintings, and a bar area as well. We went there for lunch and tried their Egg fried rice, Gobi Manchurian and Steamed Chicken momos. Egg fried rice felt a bit dry but tasted great, Gobi Manchurian was super crisp and chicken momos were yummy. The best dish is Chicken Momos. The waitress was able to accommodate and replace one of the chicken momos with a veggie momo for my vegetarian husband to try. Overall good meal 4.5 rounding to 5!

Really wanted to go eat momos one Friday evening after work so I found Momo Grill and figured it'd be a good opportunity to try out a new eatery! I came around 6PM and was seated immediately as a party of one. There were still lots of space in the cozy little restaurant though. Great for a casual, yet intimate dining experience in my opinion. I ordered the chili veg momos and veg vindaloo with garlic naan. The chili momos were delicious, great chili sauce flavor with just a light kick of heat. The momos were plentiful in terms of filling and the crunch from the fresh vegetables on top of the momos added good texture contrast. It was quite a large portion for one person but it'd be great to share! The menu has a variety of meat and vegetarian dishes which is great for people with different food preferences. I ended up getting the veg vindaloo as recommended by the server and it was said to have some heat but I did think it was a bit lacking in spiciness, given I do enjoy some heat in my food though. Nonetheless, the flavors and the vegetables in the dish were great. Paired perfectly with the naan that was buttery, crispy, warm, yet soft. The service was very attentive and checked on me throughout the meal. I do think the prices are a bit on the higher end, my meal ended up being $43 not including tip. However, I think it's a nice place with good food and service so I would recommend giving it a try.

What a wonderful Nepalese restaurant in downtown Sunnyvale! I first tried Delhi to Kathmandu just a little further down the street for restaurant week, and we strolled by Momo Grill on our way to the car. Since Delhi to Kathmandu was slightly disappointing, we decided to try Momo Grill next. And we're so glad that we did! The service is quick and friendly, and we are always quickly seated since there's plenty of seating every time we've gone. It was a little chilly the last time we went, but they did notice quickly and closed the door. As for the food, it's great! Their momos are absolutely wonderful! The tandoori and lamb momos are absolutely delicious, and they make me want to keep coming back. The gobi manchurian is also quite good. This is now our go to Nepalese place in the Bay Area, so I hope they keep doing great for a long time!

I went here for lunch with a friend. She ordered eggplant heaven, garlic naan, and Mango Lassi. I got the masala chai tea and goat biryani. Service was fine. We both tried everything and loved everything except the goat biryani. We had asked for the goat biryani to be mild, but it turned out to be too spicy for us. We won't order that next time or anything spicy. I will look forward to trying non-spicy dishes. I did enjoy the garlic naan and the eggplant dish. The Masala Chai and Mango Lassi were both a delicious drink. Overall, I would come back to try other things. The restaurant is also very spacious and lots table available.

You cannot order dine in through the online menu In the veg momo they add paneer which is a cheese which is not usually expected in the momo Limited menu

Came here with my mother. It was a weekday during lunch so pretty empty save for a party of 4 in the back. I read the reviews and pretty much all of them said the chicken curry was the best. So we got a chicken curry and a chicken tikka masala. The curry is phenomenal. Chicken is tender and moist and not dry. The curry is nicely spiced and has just the right amount of kick to it. The masala I thought was good but it was a bit sweet. We also got the momos which are little dumplings that look like Shanghai dumplings and those were pretty good too. And you can't go wrong with roti or naan. We got roti. If we were still in the area I'd visit this place more frequently. That's how good it is. My only complaint is it's a little pricey.

Very happy with our visit, this was totally unplanned and glad we found this. The owner / chef was so pleasant and made sure our group really enjoys the food. He took care of vegan options and recommended the safe items for me, considering my dietary restrictions. Definitely one of the best veg. Fried rice i had in a while. I was impressed, not just me, everyone at the table including my youngest. It's been such a long time since I savored every dish served and my palate was extremely pleased. ***USP : umami rich Nepali and uber flavorful Indian dishes on Sunnyvale's historic Murphy avenue. ***Service and Ambiance : very friendly servers, the owner was very chatty as well and suggested the best items based on my picky needs. Ambiance is pleasant, they have outdoor seating as well. ***Food: we ordered very simple dishes but were blown away by the flavors. Every dish we got was a 5/5. *Chicken momos: melt in the mouth delicious, the two sauces elevated the already flavorful momos by several notches. They were served steaming hot and all of us loved it. *Chicken chowmein : the best I ate in recent memory. Slightly greasy but the umami was intoxicating. The vegetables were crunchy and had a slight char to them. There was an unexpected zip of heat as well. Every bite was a chefs kiss. *Chicken curry : we expected this to be just a basic chicken curry but OMG it was soo good!!! No heavy whipping cream or other unnecessary complex ingredients. The fact that they could make something so simple so flavorful was impressive. With the whole wheat tandoori roti, it was a match made in heaven.

I am glad to see so many people enjoy this restaurant. But for us, it was just okay. This is what we ordered: Chilli Momo (Veg) $17.99 Tandoori Roti $3.99 Chicken Tikka Masala $18.99 Jeera Rice $3.99 We got Chilli Momo (Veg) because the waiter said for Veg, the Chilli style is the best. But we found it a bit too saucy and wished we had gotten Steamed. Also, the filling seemed to be mostly cabbage and not very flavorful. The Chicken Tikka Masala was pretty good though pretty small for the price and almost all sauce. My wife found it a little too sweet. The Tandoori Roti seemed to be more like Naan and less like the Roti I expected. Service was fine. The paintings on the walls were kind of cool. But overall, nothing special. read more

We ordered the chicken lollipops and they served us chicken wings (not even drumsticks) The rice/curry were definitely microwaved. The bowls were so hot we couldn't pick it up and the curry was so hot it burnt the roof of our mouths. Obvious signs of Chef Microwave's involvement. They didn't bother to serve us what we ordered nor did they serve us fresh cooked food. read more

Fantastic New Spot in Sunnyvale! Tried Momo Grill in Sunnyvale for the first time and it was an absolute delight. Since it's a new restaurant in the area, we weren't sure what to expect -- but it turned out to be a wonderful surprise. We ordered the Spicy Paneer Veg Chowmein, which was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The Paneer Tikka Masala gravy was bomb -- not creamy, but absolutely bursting with bold, vibrant flavors. The Tandoori Veg Momos were another highlight; both the momos and the sauce were mind-blowing. The Gobhi Manchurian was delicious too, with great texture and seasoning. The owner, Manoj, was extremely cordial and welcoming. Even with a big group and no reservation, he accommodated us without hesitation, making the experience even better. Overall, amazing food, warm hospitality, and a fantastic addition to the Sunnyvale food scene. Highly recommend checking this place out! read more

My husband and I were out on a date night and we walked down Murphy Street to look for a place to eat. We stumbled upon Momo Grill and wanted to try it for the first time. And boy were we surprised in how good their food was! I normally eat Butter Chicken and it was soooo flavorful! I ordered garlic naan with it and the naan was soooo good too (its not your typical thick naan) it was light and crispy outside but also had it's soft parts. My husband had the lamb tikka and it was also very good and flavorful. I would highly recommend this place and we will be back very soon! I think the mango lassi could be improved but the chai was perfect! Thank you for a delicious meal! read more

Nice atmosphere. Easy parking. Two orders of Butter Chicken were incredibly different in quantity. Although the favor was very good, one bowl was nicely filled with chicken to the top and the other bowl had 5 small pieces of chicken that was then filled to the top with broth - more like a soup. Very disappointing. Garlic Naan had a delicious texture but the garlic flavor was missing. For the price, not my first pick in the future. read more

We recently had dinner from Momo Grill, and wow--hands down the best butter chicken I've ever had, paired with the most flavorful dumplings I've tasted to date. Nepalese cuisine is a beautiful fusion of Indian and Chinese influences, and Momo Grill absolutely nails it. Every bite was rich, comforting, and deeply satisfying--the kind of food that instantly makes you want to book a trip to Nepal just to keep eating. The cherry on top? What a great find !! This new Indian Nepalese Restaurant is an absolute gem, and will surely become people's new favorite in Bay area. We recently had dinner at Momo Grill with our friends and kids. *The tandoori momos were incredibly tasty with the perfect amount of spice and smoky flavor, a must try for all. *Paneer special chowmein was delicious, full of flavor and the best chowmein I have tried in this area. *Don't underestimate their curries. The paneer tikka masala was another standout--rich, creamy, and perfectly cooked, not too sweet with perfect amount of spices. For the kids, we ordered mild dal tadka, chicken butter masala with butter naan and mild chowmein, and both were awesome. The flavors were gentle yet satisfying, making it a great choice for kids. Overall, a wonderful experience with beautiful ambiance, very friendly staff and great food for both spice lovers and kids alike! And what truly made the visit special was the friendly and entertaining owner Manoj. This was such a gem we found as we were staying overnight in sunnyvale..it was in a cute restaurant row type with outside tables and cute lighting. The food was phenomenal and the service was friendly. We only wish we were more hungry so we could have tried more things and stayed more then one night so we could have gone back again..will definitely return when visiting the Bay again! read more

My sisters took me to Momo Grill for lunch to celebrate my birthday and it was a first time we've been there. We ordered arugula salad with grilled chicken which was refreshing, steamed momo was very tasty with two different sauces mild and spicy, chicken tikka, fish curry to eat with garlic nan and yellow rice were delicious together. Overall our first experience was wonderful so was the host and we will definitely return to try other dishes. BTW we will also recommend it to our family and friends. I tried Mustang Aalu and Boti Kebab, and both were honestly so good. The Mustang Aalu was warm, tasty, and perfectly spiced, with soft potatoes that soaked up all the flavor. The Boti Kebab was super tender, juicy, and had that nice smoky, grilled taste. We ordered the lamb momos, fried cauliflower, chicken 65 and veggie fritters - all delicious. Service was very friendly, attentive and conscientious. We sat outside on Murphy Street, which gave a lovely atmosphere, but they do need heat lamps, as it got chilly. Otherwise, nice dinner out. read more

Highly recommend! We tried their veg lentil soup, chicken momo's, chicken biryani, masala chai and mango lassi. Their veg lentil was balanced in taste, color and texture. Their biryani was so flavorful and the texture of the rice was perfect -- fluffy yet saucy. My favorite was the masala chai, it has a peppery finish to it. I'd stop by just to order a cup!! Me and my friends were strolling around sunnyvale downtown and saw that it was newly opened restaurant and we wanted to try it because we were craving some spicy momo too. We ordered Chicken Chilli, Chicken lollipop, Chicken Chilli Momo, Lamb Biryani, Plain Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala and It was really good and flavorful & When I say It was good, I really mean it, It was finger licking good. When we arrived, the place was empty, but it began to fill up after we were seated. A kind young man showed us to a table and brought us menus and some water. It's beautiful inside. It's a long and narrow space and they have plenty of seating options for small and large groups. The chairs are covered in soft colorful velvet. They were very comfortable to sit in. There is a beautiful painting of a young woman wearing traditional clothing. There is a full bar with seating at the counter. The chandeliers are gorgeous and I loved the colorful umbrellas hanging upside down from the ceiling. Our waiter, Shreeshant, was beyond friendly. He was so kind and attentive to our needs. He gave us some recommendations for appetizers, which I really appreciated. We ordered the Chicken Tandoori Momo's (6 per order), per his recommendation. We also ordered the veggie samosas (2 per order). For our mains we ordered the Dum Biryani with shrimp, chicken korma, eggplant curry and butter naan. I really loved that you can customize your heat level with all the main dishes. We ordered all our dishes mild spice. First to come out was the Chicken Tandoori Momos and the veggie samosa. The momos came out sizzling on a cast iron skillet with onions and peppers underneath them. These came with a mild sauce to accompany them. The samosas came with three different sauces. The sauces were tamarind, mint and a spicy sauce. My favorite was the chicken momos. They were so flavorful from the inside to the outside. They have a tandoori flavor on the exterior and the sauce that it came with paired well with it. The samosas were also very good. I liked the mint sauce best, with the samosas. My husband liked the spicy sauce. I would definitely order both of these again. Next our main dishes came out. They also gave us some plain basmati rice with our food. The dum biryani with shrimp was so good. It's a very large portion. The shrimp were delicious. The chicken korma was creamy and rich from the pureed cashews. It went great with the naan. The eggplant curry was the most mild out of all the dishes. There were three cooked baby eggplants in a coconut curry sauce. I would say the sauce had more of a coconut flavor that stood out. It was good. The naan went well with everything really. We couldn't finish all that we ordered. We were given takeout boxes for our leftovers. We will be eating very good again with these leftovers. I really love their menu here. It's extensive with many different offerings. A big thank you to the staff for their excellent hospitality. We look forward to returning for more meals.
